In this paper, we consider two almost opposite sectors of actual string configuration ansätze in $AdS_5\times S^5$, which anyway have almost the same features: The two spin solution, which has constant angles in $S^5$ and the two angular momenta solution, which has constant "angels" in $AdS_5$, however for the two angular momenta solution, we have to take the time coordinate from $AdS_5$, thus there is a little asymmetry between the two string configurations in $AdS_5\times S^5$. Without being autistic, there is around $69$ equations between the similar equations in the two sectors, compare equations (34) and (104) and also compare equations (64) and (134). Again, without being autistic, the text after the equations in the two sectors, is almost precisely the same. In our notation, the difference between the two sectors is as follows; $ρ\leftrightarrow θ$, $ϕ\leftrightarrow ψ$, $\sinhρ\leftrightarrow \sinθ$, $y_i\leftrightarrow x_i$, $y \leftrightarrow x$ etc. The string configurations of this paper, are both solvable by the Neumann System. However, our setup in this paper is generally for the Neumann-Rosochatius System, which is also solvable, since we intend to generalize our results from the Neumann System to the Neumann-Rosochatius System and to several types of deformed Neumann-Rosochatius Systems. In the second part of this paper, which is independent of any string configurations in $AdS_5\times S^5$ and concerns String Cosmology in $D=10$ dimensions. I will seriously argue that there was no Big Bang; I truly believe that the Universe has been there forever, see True Conclusions, Section 10.
In this paper, novel solutions for strings with three angular momenta in $AdS_5 \times S^5$ geometry are presented; the divergent energy limit and the corresponding conserved charges, as well as dispersion relation are also determined. Interpretations of these configurations as either a giant magnon (GM) or a spiky string (SS) are discussed.
In this paper, rotating strings in three directions of $AdS_4 \times \mathbb{CP}^3$ geometry are studied; its divergent energy limit, and conserved charges are also determined. An interpretation of these configurations as either giant magnons or spiky strings are discussed.
We present a numerical study of rotational dynamics in AdS$_5$ with equal angular momenta in the presence of a complex doublet scalar field. We determine that the endpoint of gravitational collapse is a Myers-Perry black hole for high energies and a hairy black hole for low energies. We investigate the timescale for collapse at low energies $E$, keeping the angular momenta $J\propto E$ in AdS length units. We find that the inclusion of angular momenta delays the collapse time, but retains a $t\sim1/E$ scaling. We perturb and evolve rotating boson stars, and find that boson stars near AdS appea…
We study the geodesic motion of massive and massless test particles in the background of equally spinning Myers-Perry-anti-de Sitter (AdS) black holes in five dimensions. By adopting a coordinate system that makes manifest the cohomogeneity-1 property of these spacetimes, the equations of motion simplify considerably. This allows us to easily separate the radial motion from the angular part and to obtain solutions for angular trajectories in a compact closed form. For the radial motion we focus our attention on spherical orbits. In particular, we determine the timelike innermost stable circula…
We study gravitational perturbations sourced by a rotating test shell collapsing into five-dimensional Myers-Perry black holes in anti-de Sitter (AdS). Our attention is restricted to the case in which the two possible angular momenta of the geometry are set equal. In this situation the background is cohomogeneity-1, which amounts to a crucial technical simplification. It is found that the linearized Einstein equations are consistent only when the test shell is corotating with the spacetime. However, it is argued that this is a consequence of the matter on the shell being described by dust or, …
We show that in D=2n+1 dimensions, when mass is negative and all angular momenta are non-vanishing, Kerr and Kerr-AdS metrics describe smooth time machines, with no curvature singularity. Turning off the angular momenta appropriately can lead to static AdS solitons with negative mass. Setting zero the cosmological constant yields a class of Ricci-flat Kähler metrics in D=2n dimensions. We also show that Euclidean-signatured AdS solitons with negative mass can also arise in odd dimensions. We then construct time machines in D=5 minimal gauged supergravity that carry only magnetic dipole charges…
We compute the energy and angular momenta of recent D-dimensional Kerr-AdS solutions to cosmological Einstein gravity, as well as of the BTZ metric, using our invariant charge definitions.
The motion of a scalar particle in (d+1)-dimensional AdS space may be described in terms of the Cartesian coordinates that span the (d+2)-dimensional space in which the AdS space is embedded. Upon quantization, the mass hyperboloid defined in terms of the conjugate momenta turns into the wave equation in AdS space. By interchanging the roles of coordinates and conjugate momenta in the (d+2)-dimensional space we arrive at a dual description. For massive modes, the dual description is equivalent to the conventional formulation, as required by holography. For tachyonic modes, this interchange of …
The large $N$ limit of the four-dimensional superconformal index was computed and successfully compared to the entropy of a class of AdS$_5$ black holes only in the particular case of equal angular momenta. Using the Bethe Ansatz formulation, we compute the index at large $N$ with arbitrary chemical potentials for all charges and angular momenta, for general $\mathcal{N}=1$ four-dimensional conformal theories with a holographic dual. We conjecture and bring some evidence that a particular universal contribution to the sum over Bethe vacua dominates the index at large $N$. For $\mathcal{N}=4$ S…
We derive the energy of pulsating string, as function of oscillation number and angular momenta, which oscillates in AdS3 with an extra angular momentum along S1. We find similar solutions for the strings oscillating in S3 in addition to extra angular momentum. Further we generalize the result of the oscillating strings in Anti de-Sitter space in the presence of both spin and angular momentum in AdS5 x S1.
We obtain a perturbative solution for rotating charged black holes in 5-dimensional Einstein-Maxwell-Chern-Simons theory with a negative cosmological constant. We start from a small undeformed Kerr-AdS solution and use the electric charge as a perturbative parameter to build up black holes with equal-magnitude angular momenta up to forth order. These black hole solutions are described by three parameters, the charge, horizon radius and horizon angular velocity. We determine the physical quantities of these black holes and study their dependence on the parameters of black holes and arbitrary Ch…
It was recently observed that Kerr-AdS metrics with negative mass describe smooth spacetimes that have a region with naked closed time-like curves, bounded by a velocity of light surface. Such spacetimes are sometimes known as time machines. In this paper we study the BPS limit of these metrics, and find that the mass and angular momenta become discretised. The completeness of the spacetime also requires that the time coordinate be periodic, with precisely the same period as that which arises for the global AdS in which the time machine spacetime is immersed. For the case of equal angular mome…
We construct an infinite family of smooth asymptotically-flat supergravity solutions that have the same charges and angular momenta as general supersymmetric D1-D5-P black holes, but have no horizon. These solutions resemble the corresponding black hole to arbitrary accuracy outside of the horizon: they have asymptotically flat regions, AdS_3 x S^3 throats and very-near-horizon AdS_2 throats, which however end in a smooth cap rather than an event horizon. The angular momenta of the solutions are general, and in particular can take arbitrarily small values. Upon taking the AdS_3 x S^3 decouplin…
Black hole spacetimes asymptotic to five-dimensional anti-de Sitter spacetime are of great interest in connection with the string-gauge duality. In the rotating case, such black holes tend to become unstable, in several different ways, if their specific angular momenta fall in certain ranges. Here we consider the well-known Emparan-Myers fragmentation instability for singly rotating AdS$_5$-Kerr black holes, paying particular attention to the case where the specific angular momentum exceeds the asymptotic AdS$_5$ curvature length scale.
We present arguments for the existence of charged, rotating black holes with equal magnitude angular momenta in $d=5$ Einstein-Yang-Mills theory with negative cosmological constant. These solutions posses a regular horizon of spherical topology and approach asymptotically the Anti-de Sitter spacetime background. The black hole solutions have also an electric charge and a nonvanishing magnetic flux through the sphere at infinity. Different from the static case, no regular solution with a nonvanishing angular momenta is found for a vanishing event horizon radius.
We review the spectral curve for the classical string in AdS5xS5. Classical integrability of the AdS5xS5 string implies the existence of a flat connection, whose monodromies generate an infinite set of conserved charges. The spectral curve is constructed out of the quasi-momenta, which are eigenvalues of the monodromy matrix, and each finite-gap classical solution can be characterized in terms of such a curve. This provides a concise and powerful description of the classical solution space. In addition, semi-classical quantization of the string can be performed in terms of the quasi-momenta. W…
We study rigidly rotating strings in $β$-deformed $AdS_5\times S^5$ background with one spin along AdS$_5$ and two angular momenta along $S^5$. We find the spiky string solutions and present the dispersion relation among various charges in this background. We further generalize the result to the case of four angular momenta along $AdS_5 \times S_γ^5$.
In collisions of heavy ions at extremely high energies, it is possible for a significant quantity of angular momentum to be deposited into the Quark-Gluon Plasma which is thought to be produced. We develop a simple geometric model of such a system, and show that it is dual, in the AdS/CFT sense, to a rotating AdS black hole with a topologically planar event horizon. However, when this black hole is embedded in string theory, it proves to be unstable, for all non-zero angular momenta, to a certain non-perturbative effect: the familiar planar black hole, as used in most AdS/CFT analyses of QGP p…
The sigma model describing closed strings rotating in AdS_3 x S^3 is known to reduce to the one-dimensional Neumann-Rosochatius integrable system. In this article we show that closed spinning strings in AdS_3 x S^3 x T^4 in the presence of NS-NS three-form flux can be described by an extension of the Neumann-Rosochatius system. We consider closed strings rotating with one spin in AdS_3 and two different angular momenta in S^3. For a class of solutions with constant radii we find the dependence of the classical energy on the spin and the angular momenta as an expansion in the square of the 't H…
We perform the dimensional reduction of the spacetime of a stack of N D3-branes by the ``twist'' identification of a circle to obtain a new Melvin background. In the near-horizon limit the background becomes the magnetic-flux deformed $AdS_5 \times S^4$ or $AdS_4 \times S^5$ spacetime. After analyzing the classical closed string solutions with several angular momenta in different directions of the deformed spacetimes we obtain two string solutions. The first solution describes a circular closed string located at a fixed value of deformed $AdS_5$ radius while rotating simultaneously in two plan…
We extend a recently derived higher-dimensional Cardy formula to include angular momenta, which we use to obtain the Bekensten-Hawking entropy of AdS black branes, compactified rotating branes, and large Schwarzschild/Kerr black holes. This is the natural generalization of Strominger's microscopic derivation of the BTZ black hole entropy to higher dimensions. We propose an extension to include $U(1)$ charge, which agrees with the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of large Reissner-Nordstrom/Kerr-Newman black holes at high temperature. We extend the results to arbitrary hyperscaling violation exponent…
We find various supersymmetric configurations of toroidal M2 brane solutions in $\AdS_4 \times S^7$ or, more generally, in $\AdS_4 \times S^7/Z_k$. In this class we identify solutions preserving 1/4 and 1/8 supersymmetries of the background. The supersymmetric M2 branes have angular momenta and winding on $S^7$, and null world-volumes. In certain cases they collapse to string-like configurations. These configurations can be viewed as a higher-dimensional (membrane) analog of BMN states. We compute the energy and angular momenta, showing that all supersymmetric configurations obey the BPS relat…
We investigate the consequences of throwing point particles into odd-dimensional Myers-Perry black holes in asymptotically anti-de Sitter (AdS) backgrounds. We restrict our attention to the case in which the angular momenta of the background geometry are all equal. This process allows us to test the generalization of the weak cosmic censorship conjecture to asymptotically AdS spacetimes in higher dimensions. We find no evidence for overspinning in D = 5, 7, 9 and 11 dimensions. Instead, test particles carrying the maximum possible angular momentum that still fall into an extremal rotating blac…
We construct super AdS black holes in 2+1 dimensions in terms of Chern Simons gauge theory of N=(1,1) super AdS group coupled to a (super)source. We take the source to be a super AdS state specified by its Casimir invariants. We show that the corresponding space-time is a supermultiplet of AdS space-times related to each other by supersymmetry transformations. We give explicit expressions for the masses and the angular momenta of the black holes in a supermultiplet. With one exception, for N=(1,1) one pair of extremal black holes can be accommodated in such all-black hole supermultiplets. The …
We construct a generalization of the AdS charged rotating black holes with two equal magnitude angular momenta in five-dimensional minimal gauged supergravity. In addition to the mass, electric charge and angular momentum, the new solutions possess an extra-parameter associated with a non-zero magnitude of the magnetic potential at infinity. In contrast with the known cases, these new black holes possess a non-trivial zero-horizon size limit which describes a one parameter family of spinning charged solitons. All configurations reported in this work approach asymptotically an AdS$_5$ spacetime…
We investigate the conjectured bound on the Lyapunov exponent for a charged particle with angular motion in the Kerr-Newman-AdS black hole. The Lyapunov exponent is calculated based on the effective Lagrangian. We show that the negative cosmological constant reduces the chaotic behavior of the particle, namely, it decreases the Lyapunov exponent. Hence, the bound is more effective in the AdS spacetime than in the flat spacetime. Nevertheless, we find that the bound can be violated when the angular momenta of the black hole are turned on. Moreover, we show that in an extremal black hole, the bo…
We compute the one-loop correction to the classical dispersion relation of rigid closed spinning strings with two equal angular momenta in the $AdS_3 \times S^3 \times T^4$ background supported with a mixture of R-R and NS-NS three-form fluxes. This analysis is extended to the case of two arbitrary angular momenta in the pure NS-NS limit. We perform this computation by means of two different methods. The first method relies on the Euler-Lagrange equations for the quadratic fluctuations around the classical solution, while the second one exploits the underlying integrability of the problem thro…
We compute the disruption of mutual information in a TFD state dual to a Kerr black hole with equal angular momenta in $AdS_5$ due to an equatorial shockwave. The shockwave respects the axi-symmetry of the Kerr geometry with specific angular momenta $\mathcal{L}_{ϕ_1}$ & $\mathcal{L}_{ϕ_2}$. The sub-systems considered are hemispheres in the $left$ and the $right$ dual CFTs with the equator of the $S^3$ as their boundary. We compute the change in the mutual information by determining the growth of the HRT surface at late times. We find that at late times leading upto the scrambling time the min…
A recently proposed holographic duality allows the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of extremal rotating black holes to be calculated microscopically, by applying the Cardy formula to the two-dimensional chiral CFTs associated with certain reparameterisations of azimuthal angular coordinates in the solutions. The central charges are proportional to the angular momenta of the black hole, and so the method degenerates in the case of static (non-rotating) black holes. We show that the method can be extended to encompass such charged static extremal AdS black holes by using consistent Kaluza-Klein spher…
Classical Censorship permits AdS$_5$-Kerr black holes with arbitrarily large angular momenta per unit mass, which does not seem reasonable from a holographic point of view. However, it has been shown that, when these black holes are embedded in string theory, their angular momentum per unit mass is in fact bounded by $2\sqrt{2}L$, where $L$ is the asymptotic curvature scale. One might suppose that the most rapidly rotating AdS$_5$-Kerr black holes, with angular momentum per unit mass close to this bound, might be unstable, for example, to a superradiant instability. We show that this is not al…
We consider classical multi-spin string solutions in marginally deformed AdS4 x CP3. We reconsider the results of arXiv:1208.0389 and extend them to the non supersymmetric 3-deformation parameter background. After a general discussion, we study various explicit solutions and we give expressions for their conserved classical angular momenta and energy.
We show that cosmic censorship takes an exceptionally complex and interesting form in the case of five-dimensional AdS-Kerr black holes, due to the unusually distant relation obtaining in that case between the black hole parameters and the physical mass and angular momentum. One finds that, in this case, censorship is less restrictive than one might hope: it apparently allows some rather bizarre behaviour, and in particular does not prohibit arbitrarily large angular momenta. We find however that most of the unwelcome geometries permitted by censorship can be eliminated by requiring stability …
We show that the UV-regime at the Lifshitz point $z=3$ is equivalent to work with a momenta manifold whose topology is the same as that of an $AdS_2\times S^2$ space. According to Snyder's theory, curved momentum space is related to non-commutative quantized spacetime. In this sense, our analysis suggests an equivalence between Horava-Lifshitz and Snyder's theory.
We study rigidly rotating strings in AdS5 X S5 background with one spin along AdS5 and three angular momenta along S5. We find dispersion relations among various charges and interpret them as giant magnon and spiky string solutions in various limits. Further we present an example of oscillating string which oscillates in the radial direction of the AdS5 and at the same time rotates in S5.
Recently it was shown that the conserved charges of asymptotically anti de Sitter spacetimes can be written in an explicitly gauge-invariant way in terms of the linearized Riemann tensor and the Killing vectors. Here we employ this construction to compute the mass and angular momenta of the D dimensional Kerr-AdS black holes, which is one of the most remarkable Einstein metrics generalizing the four dimensional rotating black hole.
In the large coupling regime of the 5-dimensional Einstein--Maxwell--Chern--Simons theory, charged and rotating cohomogeneity-1 black holes form sequences of extremal and non-extremal radially excited configurations. These asymptotically global Anti-de Sitter (AdS$_5$) black holes form a discrete set of solutions, characterised by the vanishing of the total angular momenta, or the horizon angular velocity. However, the solutions are not static. In this paper, we study the branch structure that contains these excited states, and its relation with the static Reissner-Nordström-AdS black hole. Th…
We consider Kerr-AdS black holes with equal angular momenta in arbitrary odd spacetime dimensions \ge 5. Twisting the Killing vector fields of the black holes, we reproduce the compact Sasaki-Einstein manifolds constructed by Gauntlett, Martelli, Sparks and Waldram. We also discuss an implication of the twist in string theory and M-theory.
We study solutions for rigidly rotating strings on AdS$_4 \times$ CP$^3$ in the presence of $B_{\rm NS}$ holonomy turned on over $CP^1 \subset CP^3$. We construct general solutions for rotating strings with two and three angular momenta in $CP^3$ and discuss various limits corresponding to giant magnon and spike like solutions.
Using the integrable spin chain picture we study the one-loop anomalous dimension of certain single trace scalar operators of N=4 SYM expected to correspond to semi-classical string states on AdS_5 x S^5 with three large angular momenta (J_1,J_2,J_3) on S^5. In particular, we investigate the analyticity structure encoded in the Bethe equations for various distributions of Bethe roots. In a certain region of the parameter space our operators reduce to the gauge theory duals of the folded string with two large angular momenta and in another region to the duals of the circular string with angular…
We find an explicit relation between the two known ways of generating an infinite set of local conserved charges for the string sigma model on AdS_5 x S^5: the Backlund and monodromy approaches. We start by constructing the two-parameter family of Backlund transformations for the string with an arbitrary world-sheet metric. We then show that only for a special value of one of the parameters the solutions generated by this transformation are compatible with the Virasoro constraints. By solving the Backlund equations in a non-perturbative fashion, we finally show that the generating functional o…
We discuss an AdS / QCD model that consider anomalous dimensions. The effect of this kind of dimensions is considered as a mass term that depend on holographical coordenate for duals modes in bulk.
We compute structure constants in three-point functions of three string states in AdS_4 x CP^3 in the framework of the semiclassical approach. We consider HHL correlation functions where two of the states are "heavy" string states of finite-size giant magnons carrying one or two angular momenta and the other one corresponds to such "light" states as dilaton operators with non-zero momentum, primary scalar operators, and singlet scalar operators with higher string levels.
We consider strings moving in the R_t x S^3_ηsubspace of the η-deformed AdS_5 x S^5 and obtain a class of solutions depending on several parameters. They are characterized by the string energy and two angular momenta. Finite-size dyonic giant magnon belongs to this class of solutions. Further on, we restrict ourselves to the case of giant magnon with one nonzero angular momentum, and obtain the leading finite-size correction to the dispersion relation.
Two-phase transition branches of the Euler-Heisenberg (EH) anti-de Sitter (AdS) black hole (BH) were derived from its phase transition critical behavior by Magos et al. [Phys. Rev. D. 102, 084011 (2020)]. We found that the phase transition is unstable. Considering the high-order quantum electrodynamics (QED) correction, we re-derive the EHAdS BH solution and investigate its critical thermodynamic quantities. It is found that the corrected EHAdS BH has only one stable phase transition branch, and its critical exponents are equivalent to that of the vdW system. From the microscopic point of view…
For a holographically defined finite temperature theory, we derive an off-shell constitutive relation for a global $U(1)$ current driven by a weak external non-dynamical electromagnetic field. The constitutive relation involves an all order gradient expansion resummed into three momenta-dependent transport coefficient functions: diffusion, electric conductivity, and "magnetic" conductivity. These transport functions are first computed analytically in the hydrodynamic limit, up to third order in the derivative expansion, and then numerically for generic values of momenta. We also compute a diff…
It is shown that a class of rotating strings in AdS_5 x S^5 with SO(6) angular momenta (J,J',J') preserve 1/8-supersymmetry for large J,J', in which limit they are effectively tensionless; when J=0, supersymmetry is enhanced to 1/4. These results imply that recent checks of the AdS/CFT correspondence actually test a nearly-BPS sector.
We use the reduction of the string dynamics on AdS_4 x CP^3 to the Neumann-Rosochatius integrable system. All constraints can be expressed simply in terms of a few parameters. We analyze the giant magnon and single spike solutions on R_t x CP^3 with two angular momenta in detail and find the energy-charge relations. The finite-size effects of the giant magnon and single spike solutions are analyzed.
We construct a family of closed string solutions with kinks in a subspace of AdS_5 x S^5 and study their properties. In certain limits these solutions become folded pulsating strings, although in general they are made of multiple pulsating rectangles. One unusual feature of these solutions is that their monodromy matrices are trivial, leading to vanishing quasi-momenta. Exact Backlund transformations of these solutions are found, again giving vanishing higher conserved charges. We also consider the fluctuation modes around these solutions as well as the semiclassical splitting of these strings…
Motivated by attempts to extend AdS/CFT duality to non-BPS states we consider classical closed string solutions with several angular momenta in different directions of AdS_5 and S^5. We find a novel solution describing a circular closed string located at a fixed value of AdS_5 radius while rotating simultaneously in two planes in AdS_5 with equal spins S. This solution is a direct generalization of a two-spin flat-space solution where the string rotates in two orthogonal planes while always lying on a 3-sphere. Similar solution exists for a string rotating in S^5: it is parametrized by the ang…
We examine the separability of the Nambu-Goto equation for test strings in a shape of toroidal spiral in a five-dimensional Kerr-AdS black hole. In particular, for a `{\it Hopf loop}\rq string which is a special class of the toroidal spiral strings, we show the complete separation of variables occurs in two cases, Kerr background and Kerr-AdS background with equal angular momenta. We also obtain the dynamical solution for the Hopf loop around a black hole and for the general toroidal spiral in Minkowski background.
For the κ-symmetry gauge fixed superstring action in AdS_5 x S^5 we consider the fermionic fluctuations over a circular bosonic string background with two angular momenta and two winding numbers in S^5. The SU(2)-type redefinitions of fermionic fields and the first-string limit generate a truncated fermionic action for the SU(1|2) sector. It is expressed in a two-dimensional Lorentz-invariant form of a massive Dirac fermion and the plane-wave spectrum for the fermionic excitations is derived. The fermionic spectrum for the SU(2|2) sector is also analyzed.
We consider strings living in $AdS_3\times S^3\times S^3\times S^1$ with nonzero $B$-field. By using specific ansatz for the string embedding, we obtain a class of solutions corresponding to strings moving in the whole ten dimensional space-time. For the $AdS_3$ subspace, these solutions are given in terms of incomplete elliptic integrals. For the two three-spheres, they are expressed in terms of Lauricella hypergeometric functions of many variables. The conserved charges, i.e. the string energy, spin and angular momenta, are also found.
We examine the electromagnetic properties of Kerr-anti-de Sitter (Kerr-AdS) black holes in four and higher spacetime dimensions. Assuming that the black holes may carry a test electric charge we show that the Killing one-form which represents the difference between the timelike generators in the spacetime and in the reference background can be used as a potential one-form for the associated electromagnetic field. In four dimensions the potential one-form and the Kerr-AdS metric with properly re-scaled mass parameter solve the Einstein-Maxwell equations, thereby resulting in the familiar Kerr-N…
We demonstrate the existence of an infinite number of local commuting charges for classical solutions of the string sigma model on AdS_5 x S^5 associated with a certain circular three-spin solution spinning with large angular momenta in three orthogonal directions on the five-sphere. Using the AdS/CFT correspondence we find agreement to one-loop with the tower of conserved higher charges in planar N=4 super Yang-Mills theory associated with the dual composite single-trace operator in the highest weight representation (J_1,J_2,J_2) of SO(6). The agreement can be explained by the presence of int…
We first apply the transformation of mixing azimuthal and internal coordinate or mixing time and internal coordinate to the 11D M-theory with a stack N M2-branes to find the spacetime of a stack of N D2-branes with magnetic or electric flux in 10 D IIA string theory, after the Kaluza-Klein reduction. We then perform the T duality to the spacetime to find the background of a stack of N D3-branes with magnetic or electric flux. In the near-horizon limit the background becomes the magnetic or electric field deformed $AdS_5 \times S^5$. We adopt an ansatz to find the classical string solution whic…
This note is devoted to the investigation of Susskind's proposal(arXiv:1802.01198) concerning the correspondence between the operator growth in chaotic theories and the radial momenta of the particle falling in the AdS black hole. We study this proposal and consider the simple example of an operator with the global charge described by the charged particle falling to the Reissner-Nordstrom-AdS black hole. Different charges of the particle lead to qualitatively different behavior of the particle momenta and consequently change of the operator size behavior. This holographic result is supported b…
Field theories in black hole spacetimes undergo dimensional reduction near horizon (in the Rindler limit) to two dimensional conformal field theories. We investigate this enhancement of symmetries in the context of gauge/gravity duality by considering Rindler space as boundary of Anti-de Sitter space in three spacetime dimensions. We show that the loxodromy conjugacy class of the SO(2,2) isometry group is responsible for generating the special conformal transformations on the boundary under RG flow. We use this approach to present an alternative derivation of the two-point function in Rindler …
