The thermodynamic properties of matter created in high-energy heavy-ion collisions have been studied in the framework of the non-extensive Tsallis statistics. The transverse momentum ($p_{\rm T}$)~spectra of identified charged particles (pions, kaons, protons) and all charged particles from the available experimental data of Au-Au collisions at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) energies and Pb-Pb collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) energies are fitted by the Tsallis distribution. The fit parameters, $q$ and $T$ measure the degree of deviation from an equilibrium state and the effective temperature of the thermalized system, respectively. The $p_{\rm T}$~spectra are well described by the Tsallis distribution function from peripheral to central collisions for the wide range of collision energies, from $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 7.7 GeV to 5.02 TeV. The extracted Tsallis parameters are found to be dependent on the particle species, collision energy, centrality, and fitting ranges in $p_{\rm T}$. For central collisions, both $q$ and $T$ depend strongly on the fit ranges in $p_{\rm T}$. For most of the collision energies, $q$ remains almost constant as a function of centrality, whereas $T$ increases from peripheral to central collisions. For a given centrality, $q$ systematically increases as a function of collision energy whereas $T$ has a decreasing trend. A profile plot of $q$ and $T$ with respect to collision energy and centrality shows an anti-correlation between the two parameters.
The analytical expressions for the ultrarelativistic transverse momentum distributions of the Tsallis and the Tsallis-$2$ statistics were obtained. We found that the transverse momentum distribution of the Tsallis-factorized statistics, which is now largely used to describe the experimental transverse momentum spectra of hadrons measured in $pp$ collisions at LHC and RHIC energies, in the ultrarelativistic case is not equivalent to the transverse momentum distributions of the Tsallis and the Tsallis-$2$ statistics. However, we revealed that this distribution exactly coincides with the transver…
An overview is presented of transverse momentum distributions of particles at the LHC using the Tsallis distribution. The use of a thermodynamically consistent form of this distribution leads to an excellent description of charged and identified particles. The values of the Tsallis parameter q are truly remarkably consistent.
Transverse momentum distributions of negatively charged pions produced in p-p interactions at beam momenta 20, 31, 40, 80 and 158 GeV/c are studied using the Tsallis distribution as a parametrization. Results are compared with higher energies data and changes of parameters with energy are determined. Different Tsallis-like distributions are compared.
Fits to the transverse momentum distributions of charged particles produced in p - p collisions at LHC energies based on the Tsallis distribution have been shown to work over 14 orders of magnitude. Two versions of the Tsallis distribution are compared and discussed, the thermodynamically consistent version leads to a temperature of T = 74 +/- 13 MeV at the highest beam energy, a result which is in agreement with previous analyses done with lower transverse momentum data.
The transverse momentum distributions of charged particles in p-Pb collisions as sqrt{s_{NN}} = 5.02 TeV measured by the ALICE collaboration are fitted using Tsallis statistics. The use of a thermodynamically consistent form of this distribution leads to an excellent description of the transverse momentum distributions for all rapidity intervals. The values of the Tsallis parameter q, the temperature T and the radius R of the system do not change within the measured pseudorapidity intervall.
In the present work, we have found that the phenomenological Tsallis distribution (which nowadays is largely used to describe the transverse momentum distributions of hadrons measured in $pp$ collisions at high energies) is consistent with the basis of the statistical mechanics if it belongs to the $q$-dual nonextensive statistics instead of the Tsallis one. We have defined the $q$-dual statistics based on the $q$-dual entropy which was obtained from the Tsallis entropy under the multiplicative transformation of the entropic parameter $q\to 1/q$. We have found that the phenomenological Tsallis…
The Tsallis distribution has been used recently to fit the transverse momentum distributions of identified particles by the STAR collaboration \cite{Abelev:2006cs} at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider and by the ALICE \cite{Aamodt:2011zj} and CMS \cite{Khachatryan:2011tm} collaborations at the Large Hadron Collider. Theoretical issues are clarified concerning the thermodynamic consistency of the Tsallis distribution in the particular case of relativistic high energy quantum distributions. An improved form is proposed for describing the transverse momentum distribution and fits are presented …
The exact analytical formulas for the transverse momentum distributions of the Bose-Einstein, Fermi-Dirac and Maxwell-Boltzmann statistics of particles with nonzero mass in the framework of the Tsallis normalized and Tsallis unnormalized (also known as Tsallis-1 and Tsallis-2) statistics have been consistently derived. The final exact results were expressed in terms of the series expansions in the integral representation. The zeroth term approximation to both quantum and classical statistics of particles has been introduced. We have revealed that the phenomenological classical Tsallis distribu…
The thermodynamic parameters like energy density, pressure, entropy density, temperature and particle density are determined from the transverse momentum distributions of charged particles in Pb-Pb collisions at the LHC. The results show a clear increase with the centrality and the beam energy in all parameters. It is determined that in the final freeze-out stage the energy density reaches a value of about 0.039 GeV/fm$^3$ for the most central collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV. This is less than that at chemical freeze-out where the energy density is about 0.36 GeV/fm$^3$. This decrease…
It is shown that the transverse momentum distributions of particles emerging from the decay of statistical clusters, distributed according to a power law in their transverse energy, closely resembles that following from the Tsallis non-extensive statistical model. The experimental data are well reproduced with the cluster temperature $T\approx 160$ MeV.
We derive the analytical expressions for the first and second order terms in the hadronic transverse momentum spectra obtained from the Tsallis normalized (Tsallis-1) statistics. We revisit the zeroth order quantum Tsallis distributions and obtain the corresponding analytical closed form expressions. It is observed that unlike the classical case, the analytical closed forms of the zeroth order quantum spectra do not resemble the phenomenological distributions used in the literature after $q \to q^{-1}$ substitution, where $q$ is the Tsallis entropic parameter. However, the factorization approx…
The Tsallis statistics was applied to describe the experimental data on the transverse momentum distributions of hadrons. We considered the energy dependence of the parameters of the Tsallis-factorized statistics, which is now widely used for the description of the experimental transverse momentum distributions of hadrons, and the Tsallis statistics for the charged pions produced in $pp$ collisions at high energies. We found that the results of the Tsallis-factorized statistics deviate from the results of the Tsallis statistics only at low NA61/SHINE energies when the value of the entropic par…
Phenomenological Tsallis fits to the CMS, ATLAS, and ALICE transverse momentum spectra of hadrons for pp collisions at LHC were recently found to extend over a large range of the transverse momentum. We investigate whether the few degrees of freedom in the Tsallis parametrization may arise from the relativistic parton-parton hard-scattering and related processes. The effects of the multiple hard-scattering and parton showering processes on the power law are discussed. We find empirically that whereas the transverse spectra of both hadrons and jets exhibit power-law behavior of 1/pT^n at high p…
The charged particle transverse momentum ($p_T$) spectra measured by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations in proton - proton collisions at sqrt(s) = 0.9 and 7 TeV have been studied using Tsallis thermodynamics. A thermodynamically consistent form of the Tsallis distribution is used for fitting the transverse momentum spectra at mid-rapidity. It is found that the fits based on the proposed distribution provide an excellent description over 14 orders of magnitude with $p_T$ values up to 200 GeV/c.
Phenomenological Tsallis fits to the CMS and ATLAS transverse spectra of charged particles were found to extend for p_T from 0.5 to 181 GeV in pp collisions at LHC at \sqrt{s}=7 TeV, and for p_T from 0.5 to 31 GeV at \sqrt{s}=0.9 TeV. The simplicity of the Tsallis parametrization and the large range of the fitting transverse momentum raise questions on the physical meaning of the degrees of freedom that enter into the Tsallis distribution or q-statistics.
The Bose-Einstein and Fermi-Dirac statistics of the identified hadrons were verified on the basis of the transverse momentum distributions of bosons and fermions created in the $pp$ collisions at high energies using the Tsallis-factorized statistics and the two-component distributions of the Boltzmann-Gibbs statistics. The main differences between the parameters of the Tsallis-factorized statistics and the Boltzmann-Gibbs statistics were identified. The results of the Boltzmann-Gibbs statistics are reasonable and suggest that the soft and hard hadrons may be produced from the two different mac…
The centrality dependence of pseudorapidity distributions for charged particles produced in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=130$ GeV and 200 GeV at RHIC, and in Pb+Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=2.76$ TeV at LHC are investigated in the fireball model, assuming that the rapidity axis is populated with fireballs following one distribution function. We assume that the particles in the fireball fulfill the Tsallis distribution. The theoretical results are compared with the experimental measurements and a good agreement is found. Using these results, the pseudorapidity distributions of charged …
The distribution characteristic of final-state particles is one of significant parts in high energy nuclear collisions. The transverse momentum distribution of charged particles carries essential evolution information about the collision system. Tsallis statistics is used to investigate the transverse momentum distribution of charged particles produced in Xe-Xe collisions at 5.44 TeV. On the basis, we reproduce the nuclear modification factor of the charged particles. The calculated results agree approximately with the experimental data measured by the ALICE Collaboration.
A systematic analysis of transverse momentum and rapidity distributions measured in high-energy proton - proton (pp) collisions for energies ranging from 53 GeV to 7 TeV using Tsallis thermodynamics is presented. The excellent description of all transverse momentum spectra obtained in earlier analyses is confirmed and extended. All energies can be described by a single Tsallis temperature of 68 +/- 5 MeV at all beam energies and particle types investigated (43 in total). The value of the entropic index, q, shows a wider spread but is always close to q approx 1.146. These values are then used t…
A detailed study of the transverse momentum distributions of charged particles produced in proton - proton collisions at LHC energies is presented. This is done using a thermodynamically consistent form of the Tsallis distribution. All variables used are thermodynamical and in particular, the temperature $T$ follows from the standard thermodynamic definition as being the derivative of the energy with respect to the (Tsallis) entropy. The momentum distribution of the final state particles obtained describe the transverse momentum distributions very well. The values of the parameters are determi…
We present a study of transverse momentum ($p_{T}$) spectra of unidentified charged particles in pp collisions at RHIC and LHC energies from $\sqrt{s}$ = 62.4 GeV to 13 TeV using Tsallis/Hagedorn function. The power law of Tsallis/Hagedorn form gives excellent description of the hadron spectra in $p_{T}$ range from 0.2 to 300 GeV/$c$. The power index $n$ of the $p_T$ distributions is found to follow a function of the type $a+b/\sqrt {s}$ with asymptotic value $a = 5.72$. The parameter $T$ governing the soft bulk contribution to the spectra remains almost same over wide range of collision energ…
Changes in the transverse momentum distributions with beam energy are studied using the Tsallis distribution as a parameterization. The dependence of the Tsallis parameters q, T and the volume on beam energy is determined. The Tsallis parameter q shows a weak but clear increase with beam energy with the highest value being approximately 1.15. The Tsallis temperature and volume are consistent with being independent of beam energy within experimental uncertainties.
The nuclear modification factor is derived using Tsallis non-extensive statistics in relaxation time approximation. The variation of nuclear modification factor with transverse momentum for different values of non-extensive parameter, $q$, is also observed. The experimental data from RHIC and LHC are analysed in the framework of Tsallis non-extensive statistics in a relaxation time approximation. It is shown that the proposed approach explains the $R_{AA}$ of all particles over a wide range of transverse momenta but doesn't seem to describe the rise in $R_{AA}$ at very high transverse momenta.
We study the centrality dependence of the mid-rapidity (|y|<0.5) yield (dN/dy) and transverse momentum distributions of K*(892)0 and ϕ(1020) resonances produced in Pb+Pb collisions at root(sNN) = 2.76 TeV. The mid-rapidity density (dN/dy) and the shape of the transverse momentum spectra are well reproduced by our earlier proposed Unified Statistical Thermal Freeze-out Model (USTFM) which incorporates the effects of both longitudinal as well as transverse hydrodynamic flow. The freeze-out properties in terms of kinetic freeze-out temperature and transverse flow velocity parameter are extracted …
The latest, high-accuracy identified hadron spectra measurements in high-energy nuclear collisions led us to the investigation of the strongly interacting particles and collective effects in small systems. Since microscopical processes result in a statistical Tsallis-Pareto distribution, the fit parameters $q$ and $T$ are well suited for identifying system size scalings and initial conditions. Moreover, parameter values provide information on the deviation from the extensive, Boltzmann-Gibbs statistics in finite-volumes. We apply here the fit procedure developed in our earlier study for proton…
The Tsallis distribution has been used widely in high energy physics to describe the transverse momnetum distributions of particles. In this note we show that the use of a thermodynamically consistent form of this distribution leads to a description of identified particles with the same values of the temperature $T$ and the parameter $q$.
We studied the effects of the Tsallis distribution on the transverse momentum fluctuation in high energy collisions. The parton-hadron duality and the Bose-Einstein type correlation between partons were assumed. The fluctuation was calculated in the boost-invariant picture for the expectation value used in the Boltzmann-Gibbs statistics and for the expectation value used in the Tsallis nonextensive statistics. It was shown that the fluctuation is a function of $η$ which is the ratio of the inverse temperature to the correlation length. We found the following points: (1) the fluctuation depends…
Transverse Spherocity is an event structure variable which provide an effective way to disentangle the data into hard and soft components of the processes corresponding to events with small and large numbers of multi-parton interactions (MPI), respectively. Recent experimental results in small systems from the LHC suggest the importacnce of transverse spherocity variable in the classification of the events. In this contribution, we have studied the dynamics of identified particle production in Xe-Xe collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5.44 TeV using A Multi-Phase Transport Model (AMPT) and the rec…
The transverse momentum $(p_T)$ spectra of charged particles measured in Au + Au collisions from the beam energy scan (BES) program, Cu + Cu collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=62.4$, 200 GeV at the RHIC and Pb + Pb, Xe + Xe collisions at the LHC are investigated in the framework of Tsallis thermodynamics. The theory can describe the experimental data well for all the collision systems, energies and centralities investigated. The collision energy and centrality dependence of the Tsallis distribution parameters, i.e., the temperature $T$ and the nonextensive parameter $q$, for the \mbox{A + A} collisi…
Experimental results of the transverse momentum distributions of phi mesons and $Ω$ hyperons produced in gold-gold (Au-Au) collisions with different centrality intervals, measured by the STAR Collaboration at different energies (7.7, 11.5, 19.6, 27, and 39 GeV) in the beam energy scan (BES) program at the relativistic heavy ion collider (RHIC), are approximately described by the single Erlang distribution and the two-component Schwinger mechanism. Meanwhile, the STAR experimental transverse momentum distributions of negatively charged particles, produced in Au-Au collisions at RHIC BES energie…
The centrality dependence of the charged multiplicity, transverse energy, and elliptic flow coefficient is studied in a hydrodynamic model, using a variety of different initializations which model the initial energy or entropy production process as a hard or soft process, respectively. While the charged multiplicity depends strongly on the chosen initialization, the p_t-integrated elliptic flow for charged particles as a function of charged particle multiplicity and the p_t-differential elliptic flow for charged particles in minimum bias events turn out to be almost independent of the initial …
Forward rapidity $J/ψ$ meson production in proton-nucleus collisions can be an important constraint of descriptions of the small-$x$ nuclear wavefunction. In an earlier work we studied this process using a dipole cross section satisfying the Balitsky-Kovchegov equation, fit to HERA inclusive data and consistently extrapolated to the nuclear case using a standard Woods-Saxon distribution. In this paper we present further calculations of these cross sections, studying the mean transverse momentum of the meson and the dependence on collision centrality. We also extend the calculation to backward …
In this paper, the experimental (simulated) transverse momentum spectra of negatively charged pions produced at mid-rapidity in central nucleus-nucleus collisions at the Heavy Ion Synchrotron (SIS), Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC), and Large Hadron Collider (LHC) energies obtained by different collaborations are selected by us to investigate, where a few simulated data are taken from the results of FOPI Collaboration who uses the IQMD transport code based on Quantum Molecular Dynamics. A two-component standard distribution and the Tsallis form of standard distribution are used to fit th…
This is a concise introduction to the topic of nonextensive Tsallis statistics meant especially for those interested in its relation to high energy proton-proton, proton-nucleus, and nucleus-nucleus collisions. The three types of Tsallis statistics are reviewed. Only one of them is consistent with the fundamental hypothesis of equilibrium statistical mechanics. The single particle distributions associated with it, namely Boltzmann, Fermi-Dirac, and Bose-Einstein, are derived. These are not equilibrium solutions to the conventional Boltzmann transport equation which must be modified in a rather…
We have implemented the Tsallis q-statistics in the Weibull model of particle production known as the q-Weibull distribution to describe the transverse-momentum (pT ) distribution of the charged hadrons at mid-rapidity measured at RHIC and LHC energies. The model describes the data remarkably well for the entire pT range measured in nucleus-nucleus and nucleon-nucleon collisions. The proposed distribution is based on the non-extensive Tsallis q-statistics which replaces the usual thermal equilibrium assumption of hydrodynamical models. The parameters of the distribution can be related to the v…
Numerous papers have appeared recently showing fits to transverse momentum ($p_T$) spectra measured at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in proton - proton collisions. This talk focuses on the fits extending to very large values of the transverse momentum with $p_T$ values up to 200 GeV/c as measured by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations at $\sqrt{s}$ = 0.9 and 7 TeV. A thermodynamically consistent form of the Tsallis distribution is used for fitting the transverse momentum spectra at mid-rapidity. The fits based on the proposed distribution provide an excellent description over 14 orders of magnit…
The transverse momentum ($p_{T}$) distribution of strange hadrons ($K_{S}^{0}$ and $Λ$) and multi-strange hadrons( $Ξ$ and $Ω$) measured in p$-$p, p$-$Pb, and Pb$-$Pb collisions at LHC energies have been studied for different multiplicity classes using Tsallis-Weibull (or q$-$Weibull)formalism. The distribution describes the measured $p_{T}$ spectra for all multiplicity (or centrality)classes. The multiplicity dependence of the extracted parameters are studied for the mentioned collisions systems. The $λ$ parameter was observed to increase systematically with the collision multiplicity and fol…
In the framework of a multi-source thermal model at the partonic-level, we have analyzed transverse momentum spectra of hadrons measured by the ALICE Collaboration in proton-proton ($pp$ or $p$-$p$) collisions at the center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=7$ and 13 TeV, proton-lead ($p$-Pb) collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}=5.02$ TeV, and lead-lead (Pb-Pb) collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}=2.76$ TeV. For meson(baryon), the contributions of two(three) constituent quarks are considered, in which each quark contributes to hadron transverse momentum to obey the revised phenomenological Tsallis transvers…
We have carried out a wide study of shadowing and antishadowing effects on \jpsi\ production in \dAu\ collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=200$ GeV. We have studied the effects of three different gluon nPDF sets, using the exact kinematics for a $2\to 2$ process, namely $g+g\to J/ψ+g$ as expected from LO pQCD. We have computed the rapidity dependence of \RCP\ and $R_{d\rm Au}$ for the different centrality classes of the PHENIX data. For mid rapidities, we have also computed the transverse-momentum dependence of the nuclear modification factor, which cannot be predicted with the usual $2\to 1$ simplifi…
The Tsallis distribution has been used recently to fit the transverse momentum distributions of identified particles by the STAR and PHENIX collaborations at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider and by the ALICE and CMS collaborations at the Large Hadron Collider. Theoretical issues are clarified concerning the thermodynamic consistency of the Tsallis distribution in the particular case of relativistic high energy quantum distributions. An improved form is proposed for describing the transverse momentum distribution and fits are presented together with estimates of the parameter $q$ and the tem…
The energy dependence of Tsallis statistics parameters is presented for charged pions produced at beam energies ranging between 6.3 GeV and 7 TeV. It is found that deviations from Boltzmann statistics are monotonically growing with beam energy. This may be attributed to the dominance of low $x$ at higher energies leading to the power-like NLO QCD spectra for which Tsallis statistics may serve as effective theory. At the same time, for larger $x$ at lower beam energies the Gaussian falloff of transverse-momentum-dependent distributions is crucial and correspondent effective description is provi…
The transverse momentum spectra of seven identified hadrons produced in Pb+Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=2.76$ and 5.02 TeV at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) have been investigated in the framework of the recombination model (RM). Soft, semihard and hard partons all play important roles in our model and are uniformly treated for all hadrons produced. The investigation has been extended to non-central collisions and the parameters controlling the momentum degradation of semihard partons have been tuned. Our study shows good agreement between theoretical results and experimental data. To …
We investigate the identified hadrons transverse momentum ($p_{\rm T}$) spectra in Pb-Pb (Pb-Pb, Xe-Xe, p-Pb) collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}=$ 2.76 (5.02, 5.44, 5.02) TeV in the framework of Tsallis-blast wave (TBW) model with a linear transverse velocity profile and with a constant velocity profile. In this model, the Tsallis temperature ($T$), the average radial flow velocity ($\langle β\rangle$) and the degree of non-equilibrium ($q$) of the system are common for all hadrons when a combined fit is performed to the $p_{\rm T}$ spectra of different particles at a given centrality. It is fou…

In the present work, we study the recent collision energy and multiplicity dependence of the charged particle transverse momentum spectra as measured by the ALICE collaboration in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 5.02 and 13 TeV using the non-extensive Tsallis distribution and the Boltzmann-Gibbs Blast Wave (BGBW) model. A thermodynamically consistent form of the Tsallis distribution is used to extract the kinetic freeze-out parameters from the transverse momentum spectra of charged particles at mid-rapidity. In addition, a comprehensive study of fitting range dependence of transverse momentum …
Charged hadron production in the $e^{+}e^{-}$ annihilations at 91 to 206 GeV in full phase space and in $\overline{p}p$ collisions at 200 to 900~GeV collision energies are studied using non-extensive Tsallis and stochastic Weibull probability distributions.~The Tsallis distribution shows better description of the data than the Weibull distribution. The 2-jet modification of the statistical distribution is applied to describe $e^{+}e^{-}$ data.~The main features of these distributions can be described by a two-component model with soft, collective interactions at low transverse energy and hard,…
The transverse momentum spectra of charged pions, kaons, and protons produced at mid-rapidity in central nucleus-nucleus (AA) collisions at high energies are analyzed by considering particles to be created from two participant partons which are assumed to be contributors from the collision system. Each participant (contributor) parton is assumed to contribute to the transverse momentum by a Tsallis-like function. The contributions of the two participant partons are regarded as the two components of transverse momentum of the identified particle. The experimental data measured in high-energy AA…
In this article, we will present a systematic analysis of transverse momentum spectra of the strange hadron in different multiplicity events produced in pp collision at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV, pPb collision at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV and PbPb collision at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 2.76 TeV. The differential freeze out scenario of strange hadron $K^{0}_{s}$ assumed while analyzing the data using a Tsallis distribution which is modified to include transverse flow. The $p_{T}$ distributions of strange hadron in different systems are characterized in terms of the parameters namely, Tsallis temperature ($T$…
Motivated by the good Tsallis fits to the high-pT spectra in pp collisions at the LHC, we study the relativistic hard-scattering model and obtain an approximate analytical expression for the differential hard-scattering cross section at η~ 0. The power-law behaviour of the transverse spectra, in the form of dσ/dpT^2 \propto 1/pT^n, gives a power index n in the range of 4.5-5.5 for jet production as predicted by pQCD, after the dependencies of the structure functions and the running coupling constant are properly taken into account. The power indices for hadron production n are slightly greater…
The dependence of the multiplicity and the transverse momentum distribution on the number of collisions are studied for central and peripheral Au-Au collisions at SPS, RHIC and LHC energies in the framework of percolation of strings. A scaling law relating the multiplicity to the mean transverse momentum is obtained. Our results are in overall agreement with the SPS and RHIC data, obtaining a suppression on $p_T$ distribution even for $p_T$ larger than 1 GeV/c.
Changes in the transverse momentum distributions with beam energy are studied using the Tsallis distribution as a parameterization. The dependence of the Tsallis parameters q, T and the volume are determined as a function of beam energy. The Tsallis parameter q shows a weak but clear increase with beam energy with the highest value being approximately 1.15. The Tsallis temperature and volume are consistent with being independent of beam energy within experimental uncertainties.
The transverse mass spectra of light mesons produced in Au-Au collisions at 200 GeV/nucleon are analyzed in Tsallis statistics. In high energy collisions, it has been found that the spectra follow a generalized scaling law. We applied Tsallis statistics to the description of different particles using the scaling properties. The calculated results are in agreement with experimental data of PHENIX Collaboration. And, the temperature of emission sources is extracted consistently.
The transverse energy and charged particle multiplicity at midrapidity and their ratio are evaluated in a statistical model with the longitudinal and transverse flows for different centrality bins at RHIC at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=130$ and 200 GeV. Full description of decays of hadron resonances is applied in these estimations. The predictions of the model at the freeze-out parameters, which were determined independently from measured particle yields and $p_{T}$ spectra, agree qualitatively well with the experimental data. The observed overestimation of the ratio can be explained for more central coll…
Centrality-dependent double-differential transverse momentum spectra of charged pions, kaons, and (anti)protons produced in mid-pseudorapidity interval in $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=200$ GeV gold-gold and deuteron-gold collisions with different centralities are analyzed by the blast-wave model with Boltzmann-Gibbs statistics. Meanwhile, the mentioned spectra in mid-rapidity interval in $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=2.76$ TeV lead-lead and $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=5.02$ TeV proton-lead collisions with different centralities are analyzed by the same model. The model results are approximately in agreement with the experimental data …
The fluctuations due to the clustering of color sources can explain the behaviour of the scaled multiplicity variance and transverse momentum fluctuations with centrality. They also predict a nonmonotonic behaviour with centrality for the multiplictiy associated to high pT events. The clustering of color sources gives rise to an increase in the long-range correaltions with centrality as well as to a supression at high centrality with respect to superposition model predictions.
In this paper, we study and predict the charged-particle pseudorapidity multiplicity density ($\frac{dN_{ch}}{dη}$), transverse momentum spectra of identified particles and their ratios in relativistic heavy ion collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), using the string-melting version of a multi-phase transport (AMPT) model with improved quark coalescence method. Results of the charged-particle pseudorapidity multiplicity density from AMPT model calculations for Pb+Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=5.02$ TeV are compared with the experimental data. Good agreements are generally found betwe…
