For a reductive group over an algebraically closed field of characteristic $p > 0$ we construct the abelian category of perverse $\mathbb{F}_p$-sheaves on the affine Grassmannian that are equivariant with respect to the action of the positive loop group. We show this is a symmetric monoidal category, and then we apply a Tannakian formalism to show this category is equivalent to the category of representations of a certain affine monoid scheme. We also show that our work provides a geometrization of the inverse of the mod $p$ Satake isomorphism. Along the way we prove that affine Schubert varieties are globally $F$-regular and we apply Frobenius splitting techniques to the theory of perverse $\mathbb{F}_p$-sheaves.
Kapranov and schechtman gave quiver description of perverse sheaves on real hyperplane arrangements. We used this description to relate the perverse sheaves on Coxeter hyperplane arrangements of type $\mathcal A_n$ for different values of $n$. As a consequence we prove that the simple perverse sheaves whose stalk on open cells are zero are induced from the perverse sheaves on lower dimension arrangements.
We determine versal non-commutative deformations of some simple collections in the categories of perverse coherent sheaves arising from tilting generators for projective morphisms.
There is a connection between the category of perverse sheaves on a disc and different notions related to spherical functors. We introduce a category whose objects are analogous to 4-periodic semiorthogonal decompositions and prove that it is equivalent to the category of perverse sheaves on a disc stratified by the origin and its complement.
We study perverse sheaves of categories their connections to classical algebraic geometry. We show how perverse sheaves of categories encode naturally derived categories of coherent sheaves on $\mathbb{P}^1$ bundles, semiorthogonal decompositions, and relate them to a recent proof of Segal that all autoequivalences of triangulated categories are spherical twists. Furthermore, we show that perverse sheaves of categories can be used to represent certain degenerate Calabi--Yau varieties.
We give a complete (global) characterization of complex perverse sheaves on semi-abelian varieties in terms of their cohomology jump loci. Our results generalize Schnell's work on perverse sheaves on complex abelian varieties, as well as Gabber-Loeser's results on perverse sheaves on complex affine tori. We apply our results to the study of cohomology jump loci of smooth quasi-projective varieties, to the topology of the Albanese map, and in the context of homological duality properties of complex algebraic varieties.
We revisit some of the basic results of generic vanishing theory, as pioneered by Green and Lazarsfeld, in the context of constructible sheaves. Using the language of perverse sheaves, we give new proofs of some of the basic results of this theory. Our approach is topological/arithmetic, and avoids Hodge theory.
We show that there is a perverse sheaf on a fine moduli space of stable sheaves on a smooth projective Calabi-Yau 3-fold, which is locally the perverse sheaf of vanishing cycles for a local Chern-Simons functional, possibly after taking an etale Galois cover. This perverse sheaf lifts to a mixed Hodge module and gives us a cohomology theory which enables us to define the Gopakumar-Vafa invariants mathematically.
We survey nearby and vanishing cycles for both perverse sheaves and D-modules under analytic setting. Following ideas of A. Beilinson, M. Kashiwara and M. Saito, we explain in detail the proof of the comparison theorem between them in the sense of Riemann-Hilbert correspondence.
We characterize bifurcation values of polynomial functions by using the theory of perverse sheaves and their vanishing cycles. In particular, by introducing a method to compute the jumps of the Euler characteristics with compact support of their fibers, we confirm the conjecture of Némethi-Zaharia in many cases.
It is shown that for a perverse sheaf $K$ on an abelian variety $X$ the integers $i$ for which the cohomology $H^i(X,K)$ does not vanish define an interval in the number line (under certain conditions on the field of definition of $K$)
We consider non-commutative deformations of sheaves on algebraic varieties. We develop some tools to determine parameter algebras of versal non-commutative deformations for partial simple collections and the structure sheaves of smooth rational curves. We apply them to universal flopping contractions of length 2 and higher. We confirm Donovan-Wemyss conjecture in the case of deformations of Laufer's flops.

In order to study wall crossing formula of Donaldson type invariants on the blown-up plane, Nakajima-Yoshioka constructed a sequence of blow-up/blow-down diagrams connecting the moduli space of torsion free framed sheaves on projective plane, and that on its blow-up. In this paper, we prove that Nakajima-Yoshioka's diagram realizes the minimal model program. Furthermore, we obtain a fully-faithful embedding between the derived categories of these moduli spaces.
The convolution powers of a perverse sheaf on an abelian variety define an interesting family of branched local systems whose geometry is still poorly understood. We show that the generating series for their generic rank is a rational function of a very simple shape and that a similar result holds for the symmetric convolution powers. We also give formulae for other Schur functors in terms of characteristic classes on the dual abelian variety, and as an example we discuss the case of Prym-Tjurin varieties.
Let $f \colon X \to Y$ be the blow-up of a smooth projective variety $Y$ along its codimension two smooth closed subvariety. In this paper, we show that the moduli space of stable sheaves on $X$ and $Y$ are connected by a sequence of flip-like diagrams. The result is a higher dimensional generalization of the result of Nakajima and Yoshioka, which is the case of $\dim Y=2$. As an application of our general result, we study the birational geometry of the Hilbert scheme of two points.
Informal lecture notes with examples on sheaf theory and the derived category of sheaves; sheaves and Morse theory; perverse sheaves, and some applications to representation theory. Added Oct 2021: cellular perverse sheaves. Proofs are outlined with references for further details.
We briefly introduce the theory of perverse sheaves with special attention to the topological situation where strata can have odd dimension. This is part of a project to use perverse sheaves on the topological reductive Borel-Serre compactification of a Hermitian locally symmetric space as a tool to study perverse sheaves on the Baily-Borel compactification, a projective algebraic variety. We sketch why the decomposition theorem holds for the natural map between the reductive Borel-Serre and the Baily-Borel compactifications. We demonstrate how to calculate extensions of simple perverse sheave…
