英文摘要:
In this paper we provide several results regarding the structure of derived categories of (nested) Hilbert schemes of points. We show that the criteria of Krug-Sosna and Addington for the universal ideal sheaf functor to be fully faithful resp. a $\mathbb{P}$-functor are sharp. Then we show how to embed multiple copies of the derived category of the surface using these fully faithful functors. We also give a semiorthogonal decomposition for the nested Hilbert scheme of points on a surface, and finally we give an elementary proof of a semiorthogonal decomposition due to Toda for the symmetric product of a curve.
Consider a family of integral complex locally planar curves. We show that under some assumptions on the basis, the relative nested Hilbert scheme is smooth. In this case, the decomposition theorem of Beilinson, Bernstein and Deligne asserts that the pushforward of the constant sheaf on the relative nested Hilbert scheme splits as a direct sum of shifted semisimple perverse sheaves. We will show that no summand is supported in positive codimension.
Let $X$ be the projective plane, a Hirzebruch surface, or a general $K3$ surface. In this paper, we study the birational geometry of various nested Hilbert schemes of points parameterizing pairs of zero-dimensional subschemes on $X$. We calculate the nef cone for two types of nested Hilbert schemes: $X^{[n+1,n]}$ and universal families. As an application, we recover a theorem of Butler on syzygies on Hirzebruch surfaces.
Let $S$ be a smooth projective surface over $\mathbb{C}$. We study the local and global geometry of the nested Hilbert scheme of points $S^{[n,n+1,n+2]}$. In particular, we show that $S^{[n,n+1,n+2]}$ is an irreducible local complete intersection with klt singularities. In addition, we compute the Picard group of $S^{[n,n+1,n+2]}$ when $h^1(S,\mathcal{O}_S) = 0$. From the irreducibility of $S^{[n,n+1,n+2]}$, we deduce irreducibility for four other infinite families of nested Hilbert schemes. We give the first explicit example of a reducible nested Hilbert scheme, which allows us to show that $…
We construct virtual fundamental classes on nested Hilbert schemes of points and curves in complex nonsingular projective surfaces. These classes recover the virtual classes of Seiberg-Witten theory as well as the (reduced) stable theory, and play a crucial role in the reduced Donaldson-Thomas theory of local-surface-threefolds that we study in [GSY17b] (arXiv:1807.05697). We show that certain integrals against the virtual fundamental classes of punctual nested Hilbert schemes are expressed as integrals over the products of the Hilbert scheme of points. We are able to find explicit formulas fo…
We regard the pre-hyperkähler structure on the moduli space of framed flags of sheaves $\mathcal{F}(1,3,1)$ on the projective plane $\mathbb{P}^2$ via an adaptation of the ADHM construction of framed sheaves. Then, we study and categorize the degenerate points of the holomorphic pre-symplectic form presented in the moduli space.
In this paper we study the tangent spaces of the smooth nested Hilbert scheme $ Hil{n,n-1}$ of points in the plane, and give a general formula for computing the Euler characteristic of a $\TT^2$-equivariant locally free sheaf on $\Hil{n,n-1}$. Applying our result to a particular sheaf, we conjecture that the result is a polynomial in the variables $q$ and $t$ with non-negative integer coefficients . We call this conjecturally positive polynomial as \textsl{the nested $q,t$-Cat alan series}, for it has many conjectural properties similar to that of the $q,t $-Catalan series.

It is known that the variety parametrizing pairs of commuting nilpotent matrices is irreducible and that this provides a proof of the irreducibility of the punctual Hilbert scheme in the plane. We extend this link to the nilpotent commuting variety of parabolic subalgebras of $M\_n(\K)$ and to the punctual nested Hilbert scheme. By this method, we obtain a lower bound on the dimension of these moduli spaces. We characterize the numerical conditions under which they are irreducible. In some reducible cases, we describe the irreducible components and their dimension.

We express nested Hilbert schemes of points and curves on a smooth projective surface as "virtual resolutions" of degeneracy loci of maps of vector bundles on smooth ambient spaces. We show how to modify the resulting obstruction theories to produce the virtual cycles of Vafa-Witten theory and other sheaf-counting problems. The result is an effective way of calculating invariants (VW, SW, local PT and local DT) via Thom-Porteous-like Chern class formulae.
Using the theory infinity-categories we construct derived (dg-)categories of regular, holonomic D-modules and algebraically constructible sheaves on a complex smooth algebraic stack. We construct a natural infinity-categorical equivalence between these two categories generalising the classical Riemann-Hilbert correspondence.
Given a map of vector bundles on a smooth variety, consider the deepest degeneracy locus where its rank is smallest. We show it carries a natural perfect obstruction theory whose virtual cycle can be calculated by the Thom-Porteous formula. We show nested Hilbert schemes of points on surfaces can be expressed as degeneracy loci. We show how to modify the resulting obstruction theories to recover the virtual cycles of Vafa-Witten and reduced local DT theories. The result computes some Vafa-Witten invariants in terms of Carlsson-Okounkov operators. This proves and extends a conjecture of Gholamp…
We propose a variation of the classical Hilbert scheme of points - the double nested Hilbert scheme of points - which parametrizes flags of zero-dimensional subschemes whose nesting is dictated by a Young diagram. Over a smooth quasi-projective curve, we compute the generating series of topological Euler characteristic of these spaces, by exploiting the combinatorics of reversed plane partitions. Moreover, we realize this moduli space as the zero locus of a section of a vector bundle over a smooth ambient space, which therefore admits a virtual fundamental class. We apply this construction to …
Let $S$ be the affine plane regarded as a toric variety with an action of the 2-dimensional torus $T$. We study the equivariant Chow ring $A_{K}^*(Hilb^n(S))$ of the punctual Hilbert scheme $Hilb^n(S)$ with equivariant coefficients inverted. We compute base change formulas in $A_{K}^*(Hilb^n(S))$ between the natural bases introduced by Nakajima, Ellingsrud and Strømme, and the classical basis associated with the fixed points. We compute the equivariant commutation relations between creation/annihilation operators. We express the class of the small diagonal in $Hilb^n(S)$ in terms of the equiva…
In this paper we prove two results which further classify smoothness properties of Hilbert schemes of points. This is done by counting classes of arrows on Young diagrams corresponding to monomial ideals, building on the approach taken by Jan Cheah to show smoothness in the 2 dimensional case. We prove sufficient conditions for points to be smooth on Hilbert schemes of points in 3 dimensions and on nested schemes in 2 dimensions in terms of the geometry of the Young diagram. In particular, we proved that when the region between the two diagrams at a point of the nested scheme is rectangular, t…
We investigate some aspects of the geometry of two classical generalisations of the Hilbert schemes of points. Precisely, we show that parity conjecture for $\text{Quot}_r^d\mathbb{A}^3$ already fails for $d=8$ and $r=2$ and that lots of the elementary components of the nested Hilbert schemes of points on smooth quasi-projective varieties of dimension at least 4 are generically non-reduced. We also deduce that nested Hilbert schemes of points on smooth surfaces have generically non-reduced components. Finally, we give an infinite family of elementary components of the classical Hilbert schemes…
For a smooth projective variety $X$ with exceptional structure sheaf, and $\operatorname{Hilb}^2X$ the Hilbert scheme of two points on $X$, we show that the Fourier-Mukai functor $\mathbf{D}^{\mathrm{b}}(X) \to\mathbf{D}^{\mathrm{b}}(\operatorname{Hilb}^2X)$ induced by the universal ideal sheaf is fully faithful, provided the dimension of $X$ is at least 2. This fully faithfulness allows us to construct a spectral sequence relating the deformation theories of $X$ and $\operatorname{Hilb}^2X$ and to show that it degenerates at the second page, giving a Hochschild-Kostant-Rosenberg-type filtrati…
In this paper we characterise the smoothness of the nested Quot scheme of points of a smooth variety, namely the moduli space parametrising flags of $0$-dimensional quotients of a fixed locally free sheaf. Our results extend Cheah's classification of smooth nested Hilbert schemes.
We show that the residual categories of quadric surface bundles are equivalent to the (twisted) derived categories of some scheme under the following hypotheses. Case 1: The quadric surface bundle has a smooth section. Case 2: The total space of the quadric surface bundle is smooth and the base is a smooth surface. We provide two proofs in Case 1 describing the scheme as the hyperbolic reduction and as a subscheme of the relative Hilbert scheme of lines, respectively. In Case 2, the twisted scheme is obtained by performing birational transformations to the relative Hilbert scheme of lines. Fin…
We show that if X is a smooth complex projective surface with torsion-free cohomology, then the Hilbert scheme X^[n] has torsion-free cohomology for every natural number n. This extends earlier work by Markman on the case of Poisson surfaces. The proof uses Gholampour-Thomas's reduced obstruction theory for nested Hilbert schemes of surfaces.
For each braid $β\in Br_n$ we construct a $2$-periodic complex $\mathbb{S}_β$ of quasi-coherent $\mathbb{C}^*\times \mathbb{C}^*$-equivariant sheaves on the non-commutative nested Hilbert scheme $Hilb_{1,n}^{free}$. We show that the triply graded vector space of the hypecohomology $ \mathbb{H}( \mathbb{S}_β\otimes \wedge^\bullet (\mathcal{B}))$ with $\mathcal{B}$ being tautological vector bundle, is an isotopy invariant of the knot obtained by the closure of $β$. We also show that the support of cohomology of the complex $\mathbb{S}_β$ is supported on the ordinary nested Hilbert scheme $Hilb_{…
In this paper we give a formula for the classes (in the Grothendieck ring of complex quasi-projective varieties) of irreducible components of $(1,k)$-quasi-homogeneous Hilbert schemes of points on the plane. We find a new simple geometric interpretation of the $q,t$-Catalan numbers. Finally, we investigate a connection between $(1,k)$-quasi-homogeneous Hilbert schemes and homogeneous nested Hilbert schemes.
A noncommutative deformation of a quadric surface is usually described by a three-dimensional cubic Artin-Schelter regular algebra. In this paper we show that for such an algebra its bounded derived category embeds into the bounded derived category of a commutative deformation of the Hilbert scheme of two points on the quadric. This is the second example in support of a conjecture by Orlov. Based on this example, we formulate an infinitesimal version of the conjecture, and provide some evidence in the case of smooth projective surfaces.
A classical result of Bondal-Orlov states that a standard flip in birational geometry gives rise to a fully faithful functor between derived categories of coherent sheaves. We complete their embedding into a semiorthogonal decomposition by describing the complement. As an application, we can lift the "quadratic Fano correspondence" (due to Galkin-Shinder) in the Grothendieck ring of varieties between a smooth cubic hypersurface, its Fano variety of lines, and its Hilbert square, to a semiorthogonal decomposition. We also show that the Hilbert square of a cubic hypersurface of dimension at leas…
Let $S$ be a projective simply connected complex surface and $\mathcal{L}$ be a line bundle on $S$. We study the moduli space of stable compactly supported 2-dimensional sheaves on the total spaces of $\mathcal{L}$. The moduli space admits a $\mathbb{C}^*$-action induced by scaling the fibers of $\mathcal{L}$. We identify certain components of the fixed locus of the moduli space with the moduli space of torsion free sheaves and the nested Hilbert schemes on $S$. We define the localized Donaldson-Thomas invariants of $\mathcal{L}$ by virtual localization in the case that $\mathcal{L}$ twisted b…
We remove the global quotient presentation input in the theory of windows in derived categories of smooth Artin stacks of finite type. As an application, we use existing results on flipping of strata for wall-crossing of Gieseker semi-stable torsion-free sheaves of rank two on rational surfaces to produce semi-orthogonal decompositions relating the different moduli stacks. The complementary pieces of these semi-orthogonal decompositions are derived categories of products of Hilbert schemes of points on the surface.
We construct five families of two-dimensional moduli spaces of parabolic Higgs bundles (respectively local systems) by taking the equivariant Hilbert scheme of a certain finite group acting on the cotangent bundle of an elliptic curve. We show that the Hilbert scheme of m points of these surfaces is again a moduli space of parabolic Higgs bundles (respectively local systems), confirming a conjecture of Boalch in these cases and extending a result of Gorsky--Nekrasov--Rubtsov. Using the McKay correspondence we establish the autoduality conjecture for the derived categories of the moduli spaces …
This article provides a summary of arXiv:1701.08899 and arXiv:1701.08902 where the authors studied the enumerative geometry of nested Hilbert schemes of points and curves on algebraic surfaces and their connections to threefold theories, and in particular relevant Donaldson-Thomas, Vafa-Witten and Seiberg-Witten theories.
We introduce the notion of strong regular holonomic ${\mathcal{D}}_{{X\times S}/S}$-module and we prove that the functor ${\mathrm{RH}}^S$ introduced by T. Monteiro Fernandes and C. Sabbah in [14] takes image in ${\mathsf{D}}^{\mathrm{b}}_{\mathrm{srhol}}({\mathcal{D}}_{{X\times S}/S})$ (complexes of ${\mathcal{D}}_{{X\times S}/S}$-module whose cohomologies are strongly regular). We prove that for $\dim X=\dim S=1$ the functor solution functor ${}^\mathrm{p}{\mathrm{Sol}}$ restricted to ${\mathsf{D}}^{\mathrm{b}}_{\mathrm{srhol}}({\mathcal{D}}_{{X\times S}/S})$ is an equivalence of categories …
We introduce a linearised form of the square root of the Todd class inside the Verbitsky component of a hyper-Kähler manifold using the extended Mukai lattice. This enables us to define a Mukai vector for certain objects in the derived category taking values inside the extended Mukai lattice which is functorial for derived equivalences. As applications, we obtain a structure theorem for derived equivalences between hyper-Kähler manifolds as well as an integral lattice associated to the derived category of hyper-Kähler manifolds deformation equivalent to the Hilbert scheme of a K3 surface mimic…
Given a finite subgroup G of SL(2,C) we define an additive 2-category H^G whose Grothendieck group is isomorphic to an integral form of the Heisenberg algebra. We construct an action of H^G on derived categories of coherent sheaves on Hilbert schemes of points on the minimal resolutions of C^2/G.
We introduce and study a surface defect in four dimensional gauge theories supporting nested instantons with respect to the parabolic reduction of the gauge group at the defect. This is engineered from a D3/D7-branes system on a non compact Calabi-Yau threefold $X$. For $X=T^2\times T^*{\mathcal C}_{g,k}$, the product of a two torus $T^2$ times the cotangent bundle over a Riemann surface ${\mathcal C}_{g,k}$ with marked points, we propose an effective theory in the limit of small volume of ${\mathcal C}_{g,k}$ given as a comet shaped quiver gauge theory on $T^2$, the tail of the comet being ma…
We give the description of the t-structure on the derived category of regular holonomic D-modules corresponding to the trivial t-structure on the derived category of constructible sheaves via Riemann-Hilbert correspondence. We give also the condition for a decreasing sequence of families of supports to give a t-structure on the derived category of coherent O-modules.
We give a new moduli construction of the minimal resolution of the singularity of type 1/r(1,a) by introducing the Special McKay quiver. To demonstrate that our construction trumps that of the G-Hilbert scheme, we show that the induced tautological line bundles freely generate the bounded derived category of coherent sheaves on X by establishing a suitable derived equivalence. This gives a moduli construction of the Special McKay correspondence for abelian subgroups of GL(2).
We prove a localization theorem for the type A rational Cherednik algebra H_c=H_{1,c} over an algebraic closure of the finite field F_p. In the most interesting special case where the parameter c takes values in F_p, we construct an Azumaya algebra A_c on Hilb^n, the Hilbert scheme of n points in the plane, such that the algebra of global sections of A_c is isomorphic to H_c. Our localisation theorem provides an equivalence between the bounded derived categories of H_c-modules and sheaves of coherent A_c-modules on the Hilbert scheme, respectively. Furthermore, we show that the Azumaya algebra…
