We describe the twisted doubling integrals of Cai-Friedberg-Ginzburg-Kaplan in a conceptual way. This also extends the construction to the quaternionic unitary groups. We carry out the unfolding argument uniformly in this article. To do so, we define a family of degenerate Whittaker coefficients that are suitable in this setup and study some of their properties. We also prove certain related global and local results that use the same tools.
We explain how to develop the twisted doubling integrals for Brylinski-Deligne extensions of connected classical groups. This gives a family of global integrals which represent Euler products for this class of non-linear extensions.
We introduce a new integral representation for the standard L-function of an irreducible cuspidal automorphic representation of the exceptional group G2, and also for the twist of this L-function by an arbitrary character. Because our construction unfolds to a matrix coefficient rather than a Whittaker function, it applies to non-generic representations as well as generic ones.
We compute the Archimedean doubling zeta integrals which appear in the interpolation formulas for the p-adic L-functions of Siegel modular forms, and verify that they agree with the modified Archimedean Euler factors for p-adic interpolation conjectured by Coates--Perrin-Riou.
In this note, we use a basic identity, derived from the generalized doubling integrals of \cite{C-F-G-K1}, in order to explain the existence of various global Rankin-Selberg integrals for certain $L$-functions. To derive these global integrals, we use the identities relating Eisenstein series in \cite{G-S}, together with the process of exchanging roots. We concentrate on several well known examples, and explain how to obtain them from the basic identity. Using these ideas, we also show how to derive a new global integral.
In this work we develop an integral representation for the partial $L$-function of a pair $π\timesτ$ of genuine irreducible cuspidal automorphic representations, $π$ of the $m$-fold covering of Matsumoto of the symplectic group $Sp_{2n}$, and $τ$ of a certain covering group of $GL_k$, with arbitrary $m$, $n$ and $k$. Our construction is based on the recent extension by Cai, Friedberg, Ginzburg and the author, of the classical doubling method of Piatetski-Shapiro and Rallis, from rank-$1$ twists to arbitrary rank twists. We prove a basic global identity for the integral and compute the local in…
In this work we prove that the local $γ$-factor arising from the doubling integrals for split general spin groups is stable. This deep property of the $γ$-factor constitutes an important ingredient in the application of the (generalized) doubling method to the construction of a global functorial lift. We obtain our result by adapting the arguments of Rallis and Soudry who proved the stability property for symplectic and orthogonal groups.
We present an integral representation for the tensor product $L$-function of a pair of automorphic cuspidal representations, one of a classical group, the other of a general linear group. Our construction is uniform over all classical groups, and is applicable to all cuspidal representations; it does not require genericity. The main new ideas of the construction are the use of generalized Speh representations as inducing data for the Eisenstein series and the introduction of a new (global and local) model, which generalizes the Whittaker model. This is the first in a series of papers, treating…
We define the doubling zeta integral for smooth families of representations of classical groups. Following this we prove a rationality result for these zeta integrals and show that they satisfy a functional equation. Moreover, we show that there exists an apropriate normalizing factor which allows us to construct $γ$-factors for smooth families out of the functional equation. We prove that under certain hypothesis, specializing this $γ$-factor at a point of the family yields the $γ$-factor defined by Piateski-Shapiro and Rallis.
The purpose of this paper is to define generalized twisted q-Bernoulli numbers by using p-adic q-integrals. Furthermore, we construct a q-analogue of the p-adic generalized twisted L-functions which interpolate generalized twisted q-Bernoulli numbers. This is the generalization of Kim's h-extension of p-adic q-L-function which was constructed in [5] and is a partial answer for the open question which was remained in [3]
We analyze the asymptotic behavior of certain twisted orbital integrals arising from the study of affine Deligne-Lusztig varieties. The main tools include the Base Change Fundamental Lemma and $q$-analogues of the Kostant partition functions. As an application we prove a conjecture of Miaofen Chen and Xinwen Zhu, relating the set of irreducible components of an affine Deligne-Lusztig variety modulo the action of the $σ$-centralizer group to the Mirkovic-Vilonen basis of a certain weight space of a representation of the Langlands dual group.
This is one of a series of articles, in collaboration with C. Moeglin, whose goal is to stabilize the twisted trace formula. In the previous article, we have stated several assertions about the stabilization of weighted orbital integrals over a non-archimedean field. Those integrals depend on a conjugacy class in our twisted space. Here we deduce all these assertions from a unique one, where the conjugacy class is assumed to be strongly regular.
The present paper deals with unification of the multiple twisted Euler and Genocchi numbers and polynomials associated with p-adic q-integral on Zp at q = 1. Some earlier results of Ozden's papers in terms of unification of the multiple twisted Euler and Genocchi numbers and polynomials associated with p-adic q-integral on Zp at q = 1 can be deduced. We apply the method of generating function and p-adic q-integral representation on Zp, which are exploited to derive further classes of Euler polynomials and Genocchi polynomials. To be more precise we summarize our results as follows, we obtain s…
We study the integral Hasse principle for affine varieties of the form ax^2+y^2+z^2-xyz=m ,using Brauer-Manin obstruction, and we produce examples whose Brauer groups include 4-torsion elements .We will construct their explicit representatives and compute local invariants in special places.
It is a step in the proof of the stabilization of the twisted trace formula. We generalize to the twisted case the proposition 3.1 of the third Arthur's paper on the stabilization. That is, consider the difference between an omega-equivariant weighted orbital integral (relative to a Levi subspace of a twisted space) and its endoscopic avatar. Then this difference is the ordinary omega-orbital integral of some function on the Levi subspace. Here, the base-field is non-archimedean.
For $f$ a cuspidal modular form for the group $Γ_0(N)$ of integral or half-integral weight, $N$ a multiple of $4$ in case the weight is half-integral, we study the zeros of the $L$-function attached to $f$ twisted by an additive character $e^{2πi n \frac{p}{q}}$ with $\frac{p}{q}\in \mathbb{Q}$. We prove that for certain $f$ and $\frac{p}{q}\in \mathbb{Q}$, the additively twisted $L$-function has infinitely many zeros on the critical line. We develop a variant of the Hardy-Littlewood method which uses distributions to prove the result.
We consider a new integral representation for $L(s_1, Π\times τ_1) L(s_2, Π\times τ_2),$ where $Π$ is a globally generic cuspidal representation of $GSp_4,$ and $τ_1$ and $τ_2$ are two cuspidal representations of $GL_2$ having the same central character. As and application, we find a new period condition for two such $L$ functions to have a pole simultaneously. This points to an intriguing connection between a Fourier coefficient of a residual representation on $GSO(12)$ and a theta function on $\widetilde{Sp}(16).$ A similar integral on $GSO(18)$ fails to unfold completely, but in a way that …
In the present paper, we effect Dirichlet's type of twisted Eulerian polynomials by using p-adic fermionic q-integral on the p-adic integer ring. Also, we introduce some new interesting identities for them. As a result of them, by using contour integral on the generating function of Dirichlet's type of twisted Eulerian polynomials and so we define twisted Eulerian-L-function which interpolates of Dirichlet's type of Eulerian polynomials at negative integers which we state in this paper.
By using q-Volkenborn integral on Z_{p}, we (simsek, simsekCanada) constructed new generating functions of the (h,q)-Bernoulli polynomials and numbers. By applying the Mellin transformation to the generating functions, we constructed integral representation of the twisted (h,q)-Hurwitz function and twisted (h,q)-two-variable L-function. By using these functions, we construct twisted new (h,q)-partial zeta function which interpolates the twisted (h,q)-Bernoulli polynomials and generalized twisted (h,q)-Bernoulli numbers at negative integers. We give relation between twisted (h,q)-partial zeta f…
We establish the first moment bound $$ \sum_φ L(φ\otimes φ\otimes Ψ, \tfrac{1}{2}) \ll_{\varepsilon} p^{5/4+\varepsilon} $$ for triple product $L$-functions, where $Ψ$ is a fixed Hecke-Maass form on $\operatorname{SL}_2(\mathbb{Z})$ and $φ$ runs over the Hecke-Maass newforms on $Γ_0(p)$ of bounded eigenvalue. The proof is via the theta correspondence and analysis of periods of half-integral weight modular forms. This estimate is not expected to be optimal, but the exponent $5/4$ is the strongest obtained to date for a moment problem of this shape. We show that the expected upper bound follows …
