In this paper we study the varieties of nilpotent Lie superalgebras of dimension $\leq 5$. We provide the algebraic classification of these superalgebras and obtain the irreducible components in every variety. As a by product we construct rigid nilpotent Lie superalgebras of arbitrary dimension.
The paper studies nilpotent $n$-Lie superalgebras. More specifically speaking, we first prove Engel's theorem for $n$-Lie superalgebras. Second, we research some properties of nilpotent $n$-Lie superalgebras, Finally, we give several sufficient conditions that an $n$-Lie superalgebra is nilpotent.
In this article we define the $c$-nilpotent multiplier of a finite dimensional Lie suepralgebra. We characterize the structure of $2$-nilpotent multiplier of finite dimensional nilpotent Lie superalgebras whose derived subalgebras have dimension at most one. Then we give an upper bound on the dimension of $2$-nilpotent multiplier of any finite dimensional nilpotent Lie superalgebra. Moreover, we discuses the $2$-capability of special as well as odd Heisenberg Lie superalgebras and abelian Lie superalgebras.
Let $L$ be a nilpotent Lie superalgebra of dimension $(m\mid n)$ and $s(L) = \frac{1}{2}[(m + n - 1)(m + n -2)]+ n+ 1 - \dim \mathcal{M}(L)$, where $\mathcal{M}(L)$ denotes the Schur multiplier of $L$. Here $s(L)\geq 0$ and the structure of all non-abelian nilpotent Lie superalgebras with $s(L)=0$ is known((\cite{Nayak2019}). This paper is devoted to obtain all nilpotent Lie superalgebras when $s(L) \leq 2$. Further, we apply those results to list all non-abelian nilpotent Lie superalgebras $L$ with $ t(L) \leq 4$.
In this paper, we introduce the concept of (super-)multiplier-rank for Lie superalgeras and classify all the finite-dimensional nilpotent Lie superalgebras of multiplier-rank $\leq 2$ over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. In the process, we also determine the multipliers of Heisenberg superalgebras.
In this article, we discuss the category $\mathcal{SN}_2$ where the objects are finite-dimensional nilpotent Lie superalgebras of class two and the category $\mathcal{SSKE}$ where the objects are skew-supersymmetric bilinear maps. We establish relation between $\mathcal{SN}_2$ and $\mathcal{SSKE}$. As a result, we discuss the capability of nilpotent Lie superalgebras of class two.
In this article, we define the capable pairs of Lie superalgebras. We classify all capable pairs of abelian and Heisenberg Lie superalgebras. After that we discuss on pairs of Lie superalgebras with derived subalgebra of dimension one and a non-abelian ideal. Finally, we determine the structure of the Schur multiplier of pairs of Heisenberg Lie superalgebras.
The aim of this work is to present the description up to isomorphism of Leibniz superalgebras with characteristic sequence (n | m-1, 1) and nilindex n+m.
In this paper, we study the cup products and Betti numbers over cohomology superspaces of two-step nilpotent Lie superalgebras with coefficients in the adjoint modules over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. As an application, we prove that the cup product over the adjoint cohomology superspaces for Heisenberg Lie superalgebras is trivial and we also determine the adjoint Betti numbers for Heisenberg Lie superalgebras by means of Hochschild-Serre spectral sequences.
We show that the finite dimensional nilpotent complex Lie superalgebras g whose injective hulls of simple U(g)-modules are locally Artinian are precisely those whose even part g_0 is isomorphic to a nilpotent Lie algebra with an abelian ideal of codimension 1 or to a direct product of an abelian Lie algebra and a certain 5-dimensional or a certain 6-dimensional nilpotent Lie algebra.
We present the description up to isomorphism of Leibniz superalgebras with characteristic sequence $(n|m_1,...,m_k)$ and nilindex $n+m,$ where $m=m_1+ >...+m_k,$ $n$ and $m$ ($m\neq 0$) are dimensions of even and odd parts, respectively.
Many theorems and formulas of Lie algebras run quite parallel to Lie superalgebra case, sometimes giving interesting results. So it is quite natural to extend the new concepts of Lie algebra immediately to Lie superalgebra case, as these type of algebras have wide applications in physics and related theories. Using the concept of isoclinism, F. Saeedi and S. Sheikh-Mohseni recently studied the central derivation of nilpotent Lie algebra with nilindex 2. The purpose of the present paper is to continue and extend the investigation to obtain some similar results for Lie superalgebras, as isoclini…

The aim of this work is to present the first problems that appear in the study of nilpotent Leibniz superalgebras. These superalgebras and so the problems, will be considered as a natural generalization of nilpotent Leibniz algebras and Lie superalgebras.
In this paper, first we prove that all finite dimensional special Heisenberg Lie superalgebras with even center have same dimension, say $(2m+1\mid n)$ for some non-negative integers $m,n$ and are isomorphism with them. Further, for a nilpotent Lie superalgebra $L$ of dimension $(m\mid n)$ and $\dim (L') = (r\mid s)$ with $r+s \geq 1$, we find the upper bound $\dim \mathcal{M}(L)\leq \frac{1}{2}\left[(m + n + r + s - 2)(m + n - r -s -1) \right] + n + 1$, where $\mathcal{M}(L)$ denotes the Schur multiplier of $L$. Moreover, if $(r, s) =(1, 0)\; (\mathrm{respectively}\; (r,s) = (0,1))$, then the…
The principal filtration of the infinite-dimensional odd Contact Lie superalgebra over a field of characteristic $p>2$ is proved to be invariant under the automorphism group by investigating ad-nilpotent elements and determining certain invariants such as subalgebras generated by some ad-nilpotent elements. Then, it is proved that two automorphisms coincide if and only if they coincide on the -1 component with respect to the principal grading. Finally, all the odd Contact superalgebras are classified up to isomorphisms.
In this paper, we find a family $SL^{n,m}$, in any arbitrary dimensions, of cohomologically rigid solvable Lie superalgebras with nilradical the model filiform Lie superalgebra $L^{n,m}$. Moreover, we exhibit a family of cohomologically rigid solvable Lie superalgebras with nilradical the model nilpotent Lie superalgebra of generic characteristic sequence. Both cases correspond to solvable Lie superalgebras of maximal dimension for a given nilradical. Contrariwise, we will show that the family of Lie superalgebras $SL^{n,m}$ can be deformed if defined over a field of odd characteristic.

A non-nilpotent variety of algebras is almost nilpotent if any proper subvariety is nilpotent. Let the base field be of characteristic zero. It has been shown that for associative or Lie algebras only one such variety exists. Here we present infinite families of such varieties. More precisely we shall prove the existence of 1) a countable family of almost nilpotent varieties of at most linear growth and 2) an uncountable family of almost nilpotent varieties of at most quadratic growth.
We study numerical invariants of identities of finite-dimensional solvable Lie superalgebras. We define new series of finite-dimensional solvable Lie superalgebras $L$ with non-nilpotent derived subalgebra $L'$ and discuss their codimension growth. For the first algebra of this series we prove the existence and integrality of $exp(L)$.
We consider associative algebras over a field. An algebra variety is said to be {\em Lie nilpotent} if it satisfies a polynomial identity of the kind $[x_1, x_2, ..., x_n] = 0$ where $[x_1,x_2] = x_1x_2 - x_2x_1$ and $[x_1, x_2, ..., x_n]$ is defined inductively by $[x_1, x_2, ..., x_n]=[[x_1, x_2, ..., x_{n-1}],x_n]$. By Zorn's Lemma every non-Lie nilpotent variety contains a minimal such variety, called {\em almost Lie nilpotent}, as a subvariety. A description of almost Lie nilpotent varieties for algebras over a field of characteristic 0 was made up by Yu.Mal'cev. We find a list of non-pri…
In this work, we recall that every filiform Lie superalgebra is a deformation of the superalgebra $L_{n,m}$. We study the even cocycles which give this nilpotent deformations. A family of independent bilinear maps will help us to describe this cocycles. At the end an evaluation of the dimension of the space $Z_0^2(L_{n,m},L_{n,m})$ is established.
Along this paper we show that under certain conditions the method for describing of solvable Lie and Leibniz algebras with maximal codimension of nilradical is also extensible to Lie and Leibniz superalgebras, respectively. In particular, we totally determine the solvable Lie and Leibniz superalgebras with maximal codimension of model filiform and model nilpotent nilradicals. Finally, it is established that the superderivations of the obtained superalgebras are inner.
In this article, we study the notion of the Schur multiplier $\mathcal{M}(N,L)$ of a pair $(N,L)$ of Lie superalgebras and obtain some upper bounds concerning dimensions. Moreover, we characterize the pairs of finite dimensional (nilpotent) Lie superalgebras for which $\dim \mathcal{M}(N,L)= \frac{1}{2}\big{(}(m+n)^2+(n-m)\big{)}+\dim N\dim(L/N)-t$, for $t=0,1$, where $\dim N=(m|n)$.
Let $L$ be a Lie superalgebra over a field of characteristic different from $2,3$ and write $\mathrm{ID}^{*}(L)$ for the Lie superalgebra consisting of superderivations mapping $L$ to $L^{2}$ and the central elements to zero. In this paper we first give an upper bound for the superdimension of $\mathrm{ID}^{*}(L)$ by means of linear vector space decompositions. Then we characterize the $\mathrm{ID}^{*}$-superderivation superalgebras for the nilpotent Lie superalgebras of class 2 and the model filiform Lie superalgebras by methods of block matrices.
Let $G$ be a simply connected, nilpotent Lie group with Lie algebra $\gee$. The group $G$ acts on the dual space $\gee^*$ by the coadjoint action. %% which partitions $\gee^*$ into coadjoint orbits. By the orbit method of Kirillov, the simple unitary representations of $G$ are in bijective correspondence with the coadjoint orbits in $\gee^*$, which in turn are in bijective correspondence with the primitive ideals of the universal enveloping algebra of $\gee$. The number of simple $\gee$-modules which have a common eigenvector for a particular subalgebra of $\gee$ and are annihilated by a parti…
We give necessary conditions for the existence of degenerations between two complex Lie superalgebras of dimension $(m,n)$. As an application, we study the variety $\mathcal{LS}^{(2,2)}$ of complex Lie superalgebras of dimension $(2,2)$. First we give the algebraic classification and then obtain that $\mathcal{LS}^{(2,2)}$ is the union of seven irreducible components, three of which are the Zariski closures of rigid Lie superalgebras. As byproduct, we obtain an example of a nilpotent rigid Lie superalgebra, in contrast to the classical case where no example is known.
In this paper, we determine upper bound for the non-abelian tensor product of finite dimensional Lie superalgebra. More precisely, if $L$ is a non-abelian nilpotent Lie superalgebra of dimension $(k \mid l)$ and its derived subalgebra has dimension $(r \mid s)$, then $ \dim (L\otimes L) \leq (k+l-(r+s))(k+l-1)+2$. We discuss the conditions when the equality holds for $r=1, s=0$ explicitly.
Let L be a restricted Lie superalgebra with its enveloping algebra u(L) over a field F of characteristic p>2. A polynomial identity is called non-matrix if it is not satisfied by the algebra of 2\times 2 matrices over F. We characterize L when u(L) satisfies a non-matrix polynomial identity. In particular, we characterize L when u(L) is Lie solvable, Lie nilpotent, or Lie super-nilpotent.
We generalize to the case of Lie superalgebras the classical symplectic double extension of symplectic Lie algebras introduced in [2]. We use this concept to give an inductive description of nilpotent homogeneous-symplectic Lie superalgebras. Several examples are included to show the existence of homogeneous quadratic symplectic Lie superalgebras other than even-quadratic even-symplectic considered in [6]. We study the structures of even (resp. odd)-quadratic odd (resp. even)-symplectic Lie superalgebras and odd-quadratic odd-symplectic Lie superalgebras and we give its inductive descriptions …
We study the varieties of Lie algebra laws and their subvarieties of nilpotent Lie algebra laws. We classify all degenerations of (almost all) five-step and six-step nilpotent seven-dimensional complex Lie algebras. One of the main tools is the use of trivial and adjoint cohomology of these algebras. In addition, we give some new results on the varieties of complex Lie algebra laws in low dimension.
In the present paper, we study the notion of the Schur multiplier $\mathcal{M}(L)$ of an $n$-Lie superalgebra $L$, and prove that $\dim \mathcal{M}(L) \leq \sum_{i=0}^{n} {m\choose{i}} \mathcal{L}(n-i,k)$, where $\dim L=(m|k)$, $\mathcal{L}(0,k)=1$ and $\mathcal{L}(t,k) = \sum_{j=1}^{t}{{t-1}\choose{j-1}} {k\choose j}$, for $1\leq t\leq n$. Moreover, we obtain an upper bound for the dimension of $\mathcal{M}(L)$ in which $L$ is a nilpotent $n$-Lie superalgebra with one-dimensional derived superalgebra. It is also provided several inequalities on $\dim\mathcal{M}(L)$ as well as an $n$-Lie super…
In this article, we compute the Schur multiplier of all generalized Heisenberg Lie superalgebras of rank $2$. We discuss the structure of $\otimes^3H$ and $\wedge^3H$ where $H$ is a generalized Heisenberg Lie superalgebra of rank $\leq2$. Moreover, we prove that if $L$ is an $(m\mid n)$-dimensional non-abelian nilpotent Lie superalgebra with derived subalgebra of dimension $(r\mid s)$, then $\dim\otimes^3L \leq (m+n)(m+n - (r+s))^2$. In particular, for $r=1,s=0$ the equality holds if and only if $L \cong H(1\mid 0)$.
The paper presents two new results concerning the varieties of Leibnitz algebras. In the case of prime characteristic p of the base field constructed example not nilpotent variety of Leibnitz algebras satisfying an Engel condition order p. In the case of zero characteristic obtained new results concerning the space of multilinear elements variety of left nilpotent of the class not more than 3 Leibnitz algebras.
Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be the $p$-dimensional Witt algebra over an algebraically closed field $k$ of characteristic $p>3$. Let $\mathscr{N}={x\in\ggg\mid x^{[p]}=0}$ be the nilpotent variety of $\mathfrak{g}$, and $\mathscr{C}(\mathscr{N}):=\{(x,y)\in \mathscr{N}\times\mathscr{N}\mid [x,y]=0\}$ the nilpotent commuting variety of $\mathfrak{g}$. As an analogue of Premet's result in the case of classical Lie algebras [A. Premet, Nilpotent commuting varieties of reductive Lie algebras. Invent. Math., 154, 653-683, 2003.], we show that the variety $\mathscr{C}(\mathscr{N})$ is reducible and equidimens…
We develop the theory of the higher commutator for Taylor varieties. A new higher commutator operation called the hypercommutator is defined using a type of invariant relation called a higher dimensional congruence. The hypercommutator is shown to be symmetric and satisfy an inequality relating nested terms. For a Taylor algebra the term condition higher commutator and the hypercommutator are equal when evaluated at a constant tuple, and it follows that every supernilpotent Taylor algebra is nilpotent. We end with a characterization of congruence meet-semidistributive varieties in terms of the…
In this article we show that distributive law holds for non-abelian tensor product of Lie superalgebras under certain direct sums. There by we obtain a rule for non-abelian exterior square of a Lie superalgebra. We define capable Lie superalgebra and then give some characterization. Specifically we prove that epicenter of a Lie superalgebra is equal to exterior center. Finally we classify all capable Lie superalgebras whose derived subalgebra dimension is at most one. As an application to those results we have shown that there exists at least one non-abelian nilpotent capable Lie superalgebra …
In this article are given explicit expressions for differential operators representing the action of any element of any Lie superalgebra g on a module induced or coinduced from an h-module V, where h is any subsuperalgebra of g. For the special case where g=g_+h, and g_ is a finite-dimensional subsuperalgebra of g, whose adjoint action on g is nilpotent, there is given a practical algorithm of calculation of this action. The program in C++ making the calculations for this case is also written.
We consider the finite $W$-superalgebra $U(\mathfrak{g_\bbf},e)$ for a basic Lie superalgebra ${\ggg}_\bbf=(\ggg_\bbf)_\bz+(\ggg_\bbf)_\bo$ associated with a nilpotent element $e\in (\ggg_\bbf)_{\bar0}$ both over the field of complex numbers $\bbf=\mathbb{C}$ and over $\bbf={\bbk}$ an algebraically closed field of positive characteristic. In this paper, we mainly present the PBW theorem for $U({\ggg}_\bbf,e)$. Then the construction of $U({\ggg}_\bbf,e)$ can be understood well, which in contrast with finite $W$-algebras, is divided into two cases in virtue of the parity of $\text{dim}\,\mathfra…
In this paper, several theorems of Macdonald \cite{Mac1961,Mac1962} on the varieties of nilpotent groups will be generalized to the case of Lie rings. We consider three varieties of Lie rings of any characteristic associated with some equations (see Eqs. (\ref{eq:1.1})-(\ref{eq:1.3}) below). We prove that each Lie ring in variety $(\ref{eq:1.1})$ is nilpotent of exponent at most $n+2$; if $L$ is a Lie ring in variety $(\ref{eq:1.2})$, then $L^{2}$ is nilpotent of exponent at most $n+1$; and each Lie ring in variety $(\ref{eq:1.3})$ is solvable of length at most $n+1$. Finally, we also discuss …
The purpose of this article is to investigate relations between W-superalgebras and integrable super-Hamiltonian systems. To this end, we introduce the generalized Drinfel'd-Sokolov (D-S) reduction associated to a Lie superalgebra $g$ and its even nilpotent element $f$, and we find a new definition of the classical affine W-superalgebra $W(g,f,k)$ via the D-S reduction. This new construction allows us to find free generators of $W(g,f,k)$, as a differential superalgebra, and two independent Lie brackets on $W(g,f,k)/\partial W(g,f,k).$ Moreover, we describe super-Hamiltonian systems with the P…
The modular representation theory of the queer Lie superalgebra q(n) over characteristic p>2 is developed. We obtain a criterion for the irreducibility of baby Verma modules with semisimple p-characters and a criterion for the semisimplicity of the corresponding reduced enveloping algebras. A (2p)-power divisibility of dimensions of q(n)-modules with nilpotent p-characters is established. The representation theory of q(2) is treated in detail. We formulate a Morita super-equivalence conjecture for q(n) with general p-characters which is verified for n=2.
From the four normed division algebras--the real numbers, complex numbers, quaternions and octonions, of dimension k=1, 2, 4 and 8, respectively--a systematic procedure gives a 3-cocycle on the Poincare superalgebra in dimensions k+2=3, 4, 6 and 10, and a 4-cocycle on the Poincare superalgebra in dimensions k+3=4, 5, 7 and 11. The existence of these cocycles follow from spinor identities that hold only in these dimensions, and which are closely related to the existence of the superstring in dimensions k+2, and the super-2-brane in dimensions k+3. In general, an (n+1)-cocycle on a Lie superalge…
