In the present paper, we study the notion of the Schur multiplier $\mathcal{M}(L)$ of an $n$-Lie superalgebra $L$, and prove that $\dim \mathcal{M}(L) \leq \sum_{i=0}^{n} {m\choose{i}} \mathcal{L}(n-i,k)$, where $\dim L=(m|k)$, $\mathcal{L}(0,k)=1$ and $\mathcal{L}(t,k) = \sum_{j=1}^{t}{{t-1}\choose{j-1}} {k\choose j}$, for $1\leq t\leq n$. Moreover, we obtain an upper bound for the dimension of $\mathcal{M}(L)$ in which $L$ is a nilpotent $n$-Lie superalgebra with one-dimensional derived superalgebra. It is also provided several inequalities on $\dim\mathcal{M}(L)$ as well as an $n$-Lie superalgebra analogue of the converse of Schur's theorem.
Recently, in [18] the authors gave some results on the structure, capability and the Schur multiplier of generalized Heisenberg Lie superalgebra. In this work we try to extend these concepts to the case of generalized Heisenberg Lie superalgebra.
In this paper, we introduce the concept of (super-)multiplier-rank for Lie superalgeras and classify all the finite-dimensional nilpotent Lie superalgebras of multiplier-rank $\leq 2$ over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. In the process, we also determine the multipliers of Heisenberg superalgebras.
In this article we define the $c$-nilpotent multiplier of a finite dimensional Lie suepralgebra. We characterize the structure of $2$-nilpotent multiplier of finite dimensional nilpotent Lie superalgebras whose derived subalgebras have dimension at most one. Then we give an upper bound on the dimension of $2$-nilpotent multiplier of any finite dimensional nilpotent Lie superalgebra. Moreover, we discuses the $2$-capability of special as well as odd Heisenberg Lie superalgebras and abelian Lie superalgebras.
The paper aims to introduce the cyclotomic $q$-Schur superalgebra via the permutation supermodules of the cyclotomic Hekce algebra and investigate its structure. In particular, we show that the cyclotomic $q$-Schur superalgebra is a cellular superalgebra and establish the Schur-Weyl duality between the cyclotomic Hecke algebra and the cyclotomic $q$-Schur superalgebra.
Suppose that the underlying field is of characteristic different from $2, 3$. In this paper we first prove that the so-called stem deformations of a free presentations of a finite-dimensional Lie superalgebra $L$ exhaust all the maximal stem extensions of $L$, up to equivalence of extensions. Then we prove that multipliers and covers always exist for a Lie superalgebra and they are unique up to Lie superalgebra isomorphisms. Finally, we describe the multipliers, covers and maximal stem extensions of Heisenberg superalgebras of odd centers and model filiform Lie superalgebras.
In this paper, all (super)algebras are over a field $\mathbb{F}$ of characteristic different from $2, 3$. We construct the so-called 5-sequences of cohomology for central extensions of a Lie superalgebra and prove that they are exact. Then we prove that the multipliers of a Lie superalgebra are isomorphic to the second cohomology group with coefficients in the trivial module for the Lie superalgebra under consideration.
In this paper we define isoclinism for Lie superalgebras and using the concept of isoclinism, we give the structure of all covers of Lie superalgebras when their Schur multipliers are finite dimensional. It has been shown that that maximal stem extensions of Lie superalgebras are precisely same as the stem covers. Furthermore, we have defined stem Lie superalgebra and prove that each isoclinic family $\mathcal{C}$ contain a stem Lie superalgebra $T$ and it is the one having minimum even and odd dimension. Finally we have proved a converse of Schur's theorem and have given bound for stem Lie su…
In this article, we study the notion of the Schur multiplier $\mathcal{M}(N,L)$ of a pair $(N,L)$ of Lie superalgebras and obtain some upper bounds concerning dimensions. Moreover, we characterize the pairs of finite dimensional (nilpotent) Lie superalgebras for which $\dim \mathcal{M}(N,L)= \frac{1}{2}\big{(}(m+n)^2+(n-m)\big{)}+\dim N\dim(L/N)-t$, for $t=0,1$, where $\dim N=(m|n)$.
Let $L$ be a nilpotent Lie superalgebra of dimension $(m\mid n)$ and $s(L) = \frac{1}{2}[(m + n - 1)(m + n -2)]+ n+ 1 - \dim \mathcal{M}(L)$, where $\mathcal{M}(L)$ denotes the Schur multiplier of $L$. Here $s(L)\geq 0$ and the structure of all non-abelian nilpotent Lie superalgebras with $s(L)=0$ is known((\cite{Nayak2019}). This paper is devoted to obtain all nilpotent Lie superalgebras when $s(L) \leq 2$. Further, we apply those results to list all non-abelian nilpotent Lie superalgebras $L$ with $ t(L) \leq 4$.
Associated to the two types of finite dimensional simple superalgebras, there are the general linear Lie superalgebra and the queer Lie superalgebra. The universal enveloping algebras of these Lie superalgebras act on the tensor spaces of the natural representations and, thus, define certain finite dimensional quotients, the Schur superalgebras and the queer Schur superalgebra. In this paper, we introduce the quantum analogue of the queer Schur superalgebra and investigate the presentation problem for both the queer Schur superalgebra and its quantum analogue.
We consider the Schur multipliers of finite dimensional nilpotent Lie algebras. If the algebra has dimension greater than one, then the Schur multiplier is non-zero. We give a direct proof of an upper bound for the dimension of the Schur multiplier as a function of class and the minimum number of generators of the algebra. We then compare this bound with another known bound.
For a free presentation $0 \to R \to F \to G \to 0$ of a Leibniz algebra $G$, the Baer invariant ${\cal M}^{\sf Lie}(G) = \frac{R \cap [F, F]_{Lie}}{[F, R]_{Lie}}$ is called the Schur multiplier of $G$ relative to the Liezation functor or Schur Lie-multiplier. For a two-sided ideal $N$ of a Leibniz algebra $G$, we construct a four-term exact sequence relating the Schur Lie-multiplier of $G$ and $G/N$, which is applied to study and characterize Lie-nilpotency, Lie-stem covers and Lie-capability of Leibniz algebras.
As a natural generalization quantum Schur algebras associated with the Hecke algebra of the symmetric group, we introduce the quantum Schur superalgebra of type Q associated with the Hecke-Clifford superalgebra, which, by definition, is the endomorphism algebra of the induced module over the Hecke-Clifford superalgebra from certain permutation modules over the Hecke algebra of the symmetric group. We will describe certain integral bases for these superalgebras in terms of matrices and will establish the base change property for them. We will also identify the quantum Schur superalgebra of type…
In this paper, first we prove that all finite dimensional special Heisenberg Lie superalgebras with even center have same dimension, say $(2m+1\mid n)$ for some non-negative integers $m,n$ and are isomorphism with them. Further, for a nilpotent Lie superalgebra $L$ of dimension $(m\mid n)$ and $\dim (L') = (r\mid s)$ with $r+s \geq 1$, we find the upper bound $\dim \mathcal{M}(L)\leq \frac{1}{2}\left[(m + n + r + s - 2)(m + n - r -s -1) \right] + n + 1$, where $\mathcal{M}(L)$ denotes the Schur multiplier of $L$. Moreover, if $(r, s) =(1, 0)\; (\mathrm{respectively}\; (r,s) = (0,1))$, then the…
We investigate products of certain double cosets for the symmetric group and use the findings to derive some multiplication formulas for q-Schur superalgebras. This gives a combinatorialisation of the relative norm approach developed by the first two authors. We then give several applications of the multiplication formulas, including the matrix representation of the regular representation and a semisimplicity criterion for q-Schur superalgebras. We also construct infinitesimal and little q-Schur superalgebras directly from the multiplication formulas and develop their semisimplicity criteria.
In this article, we study the notion of central extension of Leibniz $n$-algebras relative to $n$-Lie algebras to study properties of Schur $\mathsf{Lie}$-multiplier and $\mathsf{Lie}$-covers on Leibniz $n$-algebras. We provide a characterization of $\mathsf{Lie}$-perfect Leibniz $n$-algebras by means of universal $\mathsf{Lie}$-central extensions. It is also provided some inequalities on the dimension of the Schur $\mathsf{Lie}$-multiplier of Leibniz $n$-algebras. Analogue to Wiegold [38] and Green [17] results on groups or Moneyhun [26] result on Lie algebras, we provide upper bounds for the…
Similar to works of G. Ellis (1998), the concept of covering pair of Lie algebras is defined. Also, we show the existence of covering pair for the pair of Lie algebras (L,N) and then show that every crossed module is a homomorphic image of a covering pair of (L,N). Finally, under some condition, we present some inequalities for the Schur multiplier of a pair of finite dimensional Lie algebras.
We introduce categories of homogeneous strict polynomial functors, $\Pol^\I_{d,\k}$ and $\Pol^\II_{d,\k}$, defined on vector superspaces over a field $\k$ of characteristic not equal 2. These categories are related to polynomial representations of the supergroups $GL(m|n)$ and Q(n), respectively. In particular, we prove an equivalence between $\Pol^\I_{d,\k}$, $\Pol^\II_{d,\k}$ and the category of finite dimensional supermodules over the Schur superalgebra $\Sc(m|n,d)$, $\Qc(n,d)$ respectively provided $m,n \ge d$. We also discuss some aspects of Sergeev duality from the viewpoint of the categ…
Under the assumption that the quantum parameter $q$ is an $l$-th primitive root of unity with $l$ odd in a field $F$ of characteristic 0 and $m+n\geq r$, we obtained a complete classification of irreducible modules of the $q$-Schur superalgebra introduced H. Rui and the first Author.
For a nilpotent Lie algebra $L$ of dimension $n$ and dim$(L^2)=m$, we find the upper bound dim$(M(L))\leq {1/2}(n+m-2)(n-m-1)+1$, where $M(L)$ denotes the Schur multiplier of $L$. In case $m=1$ the equality holds if and only if $L\cong H(1)\oplus A$, where $A$ is an abelian Lie algebra of dimension $n-3$ and H(1) is the Heisenberg algebra of dimension 3.
In this article we investigate the interplay between stem covers, the Schur multiplier of Leibniz crossed modules and the non-abelian exterior product of Leibniz algebras. In concrete, we obtain a six-term exact sequence associated to a central extension of Leibniz crossed modules, which is useful to characterize stem covers. We show the existence of stem covers and determine the structure of all stem covers of Leibniz crossed modules. Also, we give the connection between the stem cover of a Lie crossed module in the categories of Lie and Leibniz crossed modules respectively.
In this article, we define the capable pairs of Lie superalgebras. We classify all capable pairs of abelian and Heisenberg Lie superalgebras. After that we discuss on pairs of Lie superalgebras with derived subalgebra of dimension one and a non-abelian ideal. Finally, we determine the structure of the Schur multiplier of pairs of Heisenberg Lie superalgebras.
We introduce the notion of c-nilpotent Schur Lie-multiplier of Leibniz algebras. We obtain exact sequences and formulas of the dimensions of the underlying vector spaces relating the c-nilpotent Schur Lie-multiplier of a Leibniz algebra Q and its quotient by a two-sided ideal. These tools are used to characterize Lie-nilpotency and c-Lie-stem covers of Leibniz algebras. We prove the existence of c-Lie-stem covers for finite dimensional Leibniz algebras and the non existence of c-covering on certain Lie-nilpotent Leibniz algebras with non trivial c-nilpotent Schur Lie-multiplier, and we provide…
The paper is devoted to obtain an upper bound for the Schur multiplier of nilpotent Lie algebras of maximal class. It improves the later upper bounds on the Schur multiplier of such Lie algebras.
The paper contains results that characterize the Donkin-Koppinen filtration of the coordinate superalgebra $K[G]$ of the general linear supergroup $G=GL(m|n)$ by its subsupermodules $C_Γ=O_Γ(K[G])$. Here, the supermodule $C_Γ$ is the largest subsupermodule of $K[G]$ whose composition factors are irreducible supermodules of highest weight $λ$, where $λ$ belongs to a finitely-generated ideal $Γ$ of the poset $X(T)^+$ of dominant weights of $G$. A decomposition of $G$ as a product of subsuperschemes $U^-\times G_{ev}\times U^+$ induces a superalgebra isomorphism $ϕ^* : K[U^-]\otimes K[G_{ev}]\oti…
For a non-abelian Lie algebra $L$ of dimension $n$ with the derived subalgebra of dimension $m$ , the first author earlier proved that the dimension of its Schur multiplier is bounded by $\frac{1}{2}(n+m-2)(n-m-1)+1$. In the current work, we give some new inequalities on the exterior square and the Schur multiplier of Lie algebras and then we obtain the class of all nilpotent Lie algebras which attains the above bound. Moreover, we also improve this bound as much as possible.
From [Problem 1729, Groups of prime power order, Vol. 3], Berkovich et al. asked to obtain the Schur multiplier and the representation of a group $G$, when $G$ is a special $p$-group minimally generated by $d$ elements and $|G'|=p^{\frac{1}{2}d(d-1)}$. Since there are analogies between groups and Lie algebras, we intend to give an answer to this question similarly for nilpotent Lie algebras. Furthermore, we give some results about the tensor square and the Schur multiplier of some nilpotent Lie algebras of class two.
In this article, we compute the Schur multiplier of all generalized Heisenberg Lie superalgebras of rank $2$. We discuss the structure of $\otimes^3H$ and $\wedge^3H$ where $H$ is a generalized Heisenberg Lie superalgebra of rank $\leq2$. Moreover, we prove that if $L$ is an $(m\mid n)$-dimensional non-abelian nilpotent Lie superalgebra with derived subalgebra of dimension $(r\mid s)$, then $\dim\otimes^3L \leq (m+n)(m+n - (r+s))^2$. In particular, for $r=1,s=0$ the equality holds if and only if $L \cong H(1\mid 0)$.
We exhibit an explicit construction for the second cohomology group $H^2(L, A)$ for a Lie ring $L$ and a trivial $L$-module $A$. We show how the elements of $H^2(L, A)$ correspond one-to-one to the equivalence classes of central extensions of $L$ by $A$, where $A$ now is considered as an abelian Lie ring. For a finite Lie ring $L$ we also show that $H^2(L, \C^*) \cong M(L)$, where $M(L)$ denotes the Schur multiplier of $L$. These results match precisely the analogue situation in group theory.
For the Schur superalgebra $S=S(m|n,r)$ over a ground field $K$ of characteristic zero, we define symmetrizers $T^λ[i:j]$ of the ordered pairs of tableaux $T_i, T_j$ of the shape $λ$ and show that the $K$-span $A_{λ,K}$ of all symmetrizers $T^λ[i:j]$ has a basis consisting of $T^λ[i:j]$ for $T_i,T_j$ semistandard. The $S$-superbimodule $A_{λ,K}$ is identified as %$Δ(λ)^*\otimes_K \nabla(λ)$, where $Δ(λ)^*$ is the dual of the standard supermodule %and $\nabla(λ)$ is the costandard supermodule of the highest weight $λ$. $D_λ\otimes_K D^o_λ$, where $D_λ$ and $D^o_λ$ are left and right irreducible…
