On the other hand, based on a non-commutative Binomial formula, a non-commutative upper bound for the numerical radius of the summand of two bounded linear Hilbert space operators is proved. In this work, an improvement of Hölder-McCarty inequality is established. Based on that, several refinements of the generalized mixed Schwarz inequality are obtained. We present new bounds for the numerical radius of bounded linear operators and $2\times 2$ operator matrices. We apply upper bounds for the numerical radius to the Frobenius companion matrix of a complex monic polynomial to obtain new estimations for zeros of that polynomial.
