We solve the Levi-flat Plateau problem in the following case. Let $M \subset {\mathbb C}^{n+1}$, $n \geq 2$, be a connected compact real-analytic codimension-two submanifold with only nondegenerate CR singularities. Suppose $M$ is a diffeomorphic image via a real-analytic CR map of a real-analytic hypersurface in ${\mathbb C}^n \times {\mathbb R}$ with only nondegenerate CR singularities. Then there exists a unique compact real-analytic Levi-flat hypersurface, nonsingular except possibly for self-intersections, with boundary $M$. We also study boundary regularity of CR automorphisms of domains in ${\mathbb C}^n \times {\mathbb R}$.
We prove the non-existence of real analytic Levi flat hypersurface whose complement is 1-convex and Levi foliation is transversely affine in compact Kahler surfaces.
We study singular real analytic Levi-flat subsets invariant by singular holomorphic foliations in complex projective spaces. We give sufficient conditions for a real analytic Levi-flat subset to be the pull-back of a semianalytic Levi-flat hypersurface in a complex projective surface under a rational map or to be the pull-back of a real algebraic curve under a meromorphic function. In particular, we give an application to the case of a singular real analytic Levi-flat hypersurface. Our results improve previous ones due to Lebl and Bretas -- Fernández-Pérez -- Mol.
We prove that the normal bundle to the Levi foliation of a smooth Levi flat hypersurface does not admit a Hermitian metric with positive curvature along the leaves in compact Kähler manifolds of dimension at least 3. This represents an answer to a conjecture of Marco Brunella.
The aim of this study is to understand to what extent a 1-convex domain with Levi-flat boundary is capable of holomorphic functions with slow growth. This paper discusses a typical example of such domain, the space of all the geodesic segments on a hyperbolic compact Riemann surface. Our main finding is an integral formula that produces holomorphic functions on the domain from holomorphic differentials on the Riemann surface. This construction can be seen as a non-trivial example of $L^2$ jet extension of holomorphic functions with optimal constant. As its corollary, it is shown that the weigh…
Pittie [Pit88] proved that the Dolbeault cohomology of all left-invariant complex structures on compact Lie groups can be computed by looking at the Dolbeault cohomology induced on a conveniently chosen maximal torus. We use the algebraic classification of left-invariant CR structures of maximal rank on compact Lie groups [CK04] to generalize Pittie's result to left-invariant Levi-flat CR structures of maximal rank on compact Lie groups.
In this article we provide a version of Chow's theorem for real analytic Levi-flat hypersurfaces in the complex projective space $\mathbb{P}^{n}$, $n \geq 2$. More specifically, we prove that a real analytic Levi-flat hypersurface $M \subset \mathbb{P}^{n}$, with singular set of real dimension at most $2n-4$ and whose Levi leaves are contained in algebraic hypersurfaces, is tangent to the levels of a rational function in $\mathbb{P}^{n}$. As a consequence, $M$ is a semialgebraic set. We also prove that a Levi foliation on $\mathbb{P}^{n}$ - a singular real analytic foliation whose leaves are i…
We show the existence of a complex K3 surface $X$ which is not a Kummer surface and has a one-parameter family of Levi-flat hypersurfaces in which all the leaves are dense. We construct such $X$ by patching two open complex surfaces obtained as the complements of tubular neighborhoods of elliptic curves embedded in blow-ups of the projective planes at general nine points.
