We investigate the perturbative renormalisation of deformed conformal field theories from the Hamiltonian perspective. We discuss the relation with conformal perturbation theory, to which we provide an explicit match up to third order in the coupling, and show how second-order anomalous dimensions in the Wilson-Fisher fixed points are straightforwardly computed in the Hamiltonian framework. The second part of the paper focuses on the cutoff employed in the truncated conformal space approach of Yurov and Zamolodchikov. We discuss the appearance of non-covariant and non-local counterterms to second order in the cutoff, which we concretise in the $ϕ^4$ theories, and find a smooth cutoff to deal with subleading oscillations.
In this paper we discuss gravity in the light-front formulation (light-cone gauge) and show how possible counterterms arise. We find that Poincare invariance is not enough to find the three-point counterterms uniquely. Higher-spin fields can intrude and mimic three-point higher derivative gravity terms. To select the correct term we have to use the remaining reparametrization invariance that exists after the gauge choice. We finally sketch how the corresponding programme for N=8 Supergravity should work.
When quantizing Conformal Dilaton Gravity there is a conformal anomaly which starts at two loop order. This anomaly stems from evanescent operators on the divergent parts of the effective action. The general form of the finite counterterm which is necessary in order to insure cancellation of the Weyl anomaly to every order in perturbation theory has been determined using only conformal invariance . Those finite counterterms do not have any inverse power of any mass scale in front of them (precisely because of conformal invariance) and then they are not negligible in the low energy deep infrare…
We discuss some aspects related to holography of Anti-de Sitter (AdS) dyonic hairy black holes, which break the conformal symetry of the boundary. We use counterterms for the scalar field that satisfies mixed boundary conditions to compute the Euclidean action and dual stress tensor. We apply these results to show that the Cardy-Verlinde formula is not satisfied. However, when the magnetic (or electric) charge vanishes, the conformal symmetry is preserved and the entropy of the black hole can be put in the Cardy-Verlinde form. In our analysis, there is no need of adding extra finite counterter…
In this paper we consider excited state g-functions, that is, overlaps between boundary states and excited states in boundary conformal field theory. We find a new method to calculate these overlaps numerically using a variation of the truncated conformal space approach. We apply this method to the Lee-Yang model for which the unique boundary perturbation is integrable and for which the TBA system describing the boundary overlaps is known. Using the truncated conformal space approach we obtain numerical results for the ground state and the first three excited states which are in excellent agre…
In this paper we continue the study of the truncated conformal space approach to perturbed conformal field theories, this time applied to bulk perturbations and focusing on the leading truncation-dependent corrections to the spectrum. We find expressions for the leading terms in the ground state energy divergence, the coupling constant renormalisation and the energy rescaling. We apply these methods to problems treated in two seminal papers and show how these RG improvements greatly increase the predictive power of the TCSA approach. One important outcome is that the TCSA spectrum of excitatio…
We consider the large-charge expansion of the charged ground state of a Schrodinger-invariant, nonrelativistic conformal field theory in a harmonic trap, in general dimension d. In the existing literature, the energy in the trap has been computed to next-to-leading order (NLO) at large charge Q, which comes from the classical contribution of two higher-derivative terms in the effective field theory. In this note, we explain the structure of operators localized at the edge of the droplet, where the density drops to zero. We list all operators contributing to the ground-state energy with nonnega…
We develop Truncated Conformal Space (TCS) technique for perturbations of c=1 Conformal Field Theories. We use it to give the first numerical evidence of the validity of the non-linear integral equation (NLIE) derived from light-cone lattice regularization at intermediate scales. A controversy on the quantization of Bethe states is solved by this numerical comparison and by using the locality principle at the ultra- violet fixed point. It turns out that the correct quantization for pure hole states is the one with half-integer quantum numbers originally proposed by Mariottini et al. Once the c…
In this paper we continue the study of the truncated conformal space approach to perturbed boundary conformal field theories. This approach to perturbation theory suffers from a renormalisation of the coupling constant and a multiplicative renormalisation of the Hamiltonian. We show how these two effects can be predicted by both physical and mathematical arguments and prove that they are correct to leading order for all states in the TCSA system. We check these results using the TCSA applied to the tri-critical Ising model and the Yang-Lee model. We also study the TCSA of an irrelevant (non-re…
We show that holographic renormalization of relativistic gravity in asymptotically Lifshitz spacetimes naturally reproduces the structure of gravity with anisotropic scaling: The holographic counterterms induced near anisotropic infinity take the form of the action for gravity at a Lifshitz point, with the appropriate value of the dynamical critical exponent $z$. In the particular case of 3+1 bulk dimensions and $z=2$ asymptotic scaling near infinity, we find a logarithmic counterterm, related to anisotropic Weyl anomaly of the dual CFT, and show that this counterterm reproduces precisely the …
The finiteness condition of renormalization gives a restriction on the form of the gravitational action. By reconsidering the Hathrell's RG equations for massless QED in curved space, we determine the gravitational counterterms and the conformal anomalies as well near four dimensions. As conjectured for conformal couplings in 1970s, we show that at all orders of the perturbation they can be combined into two forms only: the square of the Weyl tensor in $D$ dimensions and $E_D=G_4 +(D-4)χ(D)H^2 -4χ(D) \nabla^2 H$, where $G_4$ is the usual Euler density, $H=R/(D-1)$ is the rescaled scalar curvat…
We discuss in detail the parasupersymmetric quantum mechanics of arbitrary order where the parasupersymmetry is between the normal bosons and those corresponding to the truncated harmonic oscillator. We show that even though the parasusy algebra is different from that of the usual parasusy quantum mechanics, still the consequences of the two are identical. We further show that the parasupersymmetric quantum mechanics of arbitrary order p can also be rewritten in terms of p supercharges (i.e. all of which obey $Q_i^{2} = 0$). However, the Hamiltonian cannot be expressed in a simple form in term…
A perturbative quantum theory of the two Killing vector reduction of Einstein gravity is constructed. Although the reduced theory inherits from the full one the lack of standard perturbative renormalizability, we show that strict cutoff independence can be regained to all loop orders in a space of Lagrangians differing only by a field dependent conformal factor. A closed formula is obtained for the beta functional governing the flow of this conformal factor. The flow possesses a unique fixed point at which the trace anomaly is shown to vanish. The approach to the fixed point is compatible with…
We present two examples of non-trivial field theories which are scale invariant, but not conformally invariant. This is done by placing certain field theories, which are conformally invariant in flat space, onto curved backgrounds of a specific type. We define this using the AdS/CFT correspondence, which relates the physics of gravity in asymptotically Anti-de Sitter (AdS) spacetimes to that of a conformal field theory (CFT) in one dimension fewer. The AdS rotating (Kerr) black holes in five and seven dimensions provide us with the examples, since by the correspondence we are able to define an…
We describe the volume dependence of matrix elements of local fields to all orders in inverse powers of the volume (i.e. only neglecting contributions that decay exponentially with volume). Using the scaling Lee-Yang model and the Ising model in a magnetic field as testing ground, we compare them to matrix elements extracted in finite volume using truncated conformal space approach to exact form factors obtained using the bootstrap method. We obtain solid confirmation for the form factor bootstrap, which is different from all previously available tests in that it is a non-perturbative and dire…
We outline the application of the truncated conformal space approach (TCSA) to perturbations of $SU(2)_k$ Wess-Zumino-Witten theories. As examples of this methodology, we consider two distinct perturbations of $SU(2)_1$ and one of $SU(2)_2$. $SU(2)_1$ is first perturbed by its spin-1/2 field, a model which is equivalent to the sine-Gordon model at a particular value of its coupling $β$. The sine-Gordon spectrum is correctly reproduced as well as the corresponding finite size corrections. We next study $SU(2)_1$ with a marginal current-current perturbation. The TCSA results can be matched to pe…
A new numerical approach to entanglement entropies of the Renyi type is proposed for one-dimensional quantum field theories. The method extends the truncated conformal spectrum approach and we will demonstrate that it is especially suited to study the crossover from massless to massive behavior when the subsystem size is comparable to the correlation length. We apply it to different deformations of massless free fermions, corresponding to the scaling limit of the Ising model in transverse and longitudinal fields. For massive free fermions the exactly known crossover function is reproduced alre…
The Truncated conformal space approach (TCSA) is a numerical technique for finding finite size spectrum of Hamiltonians in quantum field theory described as perturbations of conformal field theories. The truncation errors of the method have been systematically studied near the UV fixed point (when the characteristic energy related to the coupling is less than the truncation cutoff) where a good theoretical understanding has been achieved. However numerically the method demonstrated a good agreement with other methods for much larger values of the coupling when the RG flow approaches a new fixe…
We study the $SU(2)_k$ Wess-Zumino-Novikov-Witten (WZNW) theory perturbed by the trace of the primary field in the adjoint representation, a theory governing the low-energy behaviour of a class of strongly correlated electronic systems. While the model is non-integrable, its dynamics can be investigated using the numerical technique of the truncated conformal spectrum approach combined with numerical and analytical renormalization groups (TCSA+RG). The numerical results so obtained provide support for a semiclassical analysis valid at $k\gg 1$. Namely, we find that the low energy behavior is s…
We study the spectrum of Landau-Ginzburg theories in 1+1 dimensions using the truncated conformal space approach employing a compactified boson. We study these theories both in their broken and unbroken phases. We first demonstrate that we can reproduce the expected spectrum of a $Φ^2$ theory (i.e. a free massive boson) in this framework. We then turn to $Φ^4$ in its unbroken phase and compare our numerical results with the predictions of two-loop perturbation theory, finding excellent agreement. We then analyze the broken phase of $Φ^4$ where kink excitations together with their bound states …
In this paper we study a simple example of a two-parameter space of renormalisation group flows of defects in Virasoro minimal models. We use a combination of exact results, perturbation theory and the truncated conformal space approach to search for fixed points and investigate their nature. For the Ising model, we confirm the recent results of Fendley et al. In the case of central charge close to one, we find six fixed points, five of which we can identify in terms of known defects and one of which we conjecture is a new non-trivial conformal defect. We also include several new results on ex…
Some general properties of perturbed (rational) CFT in the background metric of symmetric 2D sphere of radius $R$ are discussed, including conformal perturbation theory for the partition function and the large $R$ asymptotic. The truncated conformal space scheme is adopted to treat numerically perturbed rational CFT's in the spherical background. Numerical results obtained for the scaling Lee-Yang model lead to the conclusion that the partition function is an entire function of the coupling constant. Exploiting this analytic structure we are able to describe rather precisely the ``experimental…
We compute for various perturbed conformal field theories the vacuum energies by means of the thermodynamic Bethe ansatz. Depending on the infrared and ultraviolet divergencies of the models, governed by the scaling dimensions of the underlying perturbed conformal field theory in the ultraviolet, the vacuum energies exhibit different types of characteristics. In particular, for the homogeneous sine-Gordon models we observe that once the conformal dimension of the perturbing scalar field is smaller or greater than 1/2, the vacuum energies are positive or negative, respectively. This behaviour i…
In this paper we deploy for the first time Reinforcement-Learning algorithms in the context of the conformal-bootstrap programme to obtain numerical solutions of conformal field theories (CFTs). As an illustration, we use a soft Actor-Critic algorithm and find approximate solutions to the truncated crossing equations of two-dimensional CFTs, successfully identifying well-known theories like the 2D Ising model and the 2D CFT of a compactified scalar. Our methods can perform efficient high-dimensional searches that can be used to study arbitrary (unitary or non-unitary) CFTs in any spacetime dim…
Galilean conformal algebras can be constructed by contracting a finite number of conformal algebras, and enjoy truncated $\mathbb{Z}$-graded structures. Here, we present a generalisation of the Galilean contraction procedure, giving rise to Galilean conformal algebras with truncated $\mathbb{Z}^{\otimesσ}$-gradings, $σ\in\mathbb{N}$. Detailed examples of these multi-graded Galilean algebras are provided, including extensions of the Galilean Virasoro and affine Kac-Moody algebras. We also derive the associated Sugawara constructions and discuss how these examples relate to multivariable extensi…
We apply the massive analogue of the truncated conformal space approach to study the two dimensional $ϕ^{4}$ theory in finite volume. We focus on the broken phase and determine the finite size spectrum of the model numerically. We interpret the results in terms of the Bethe-Yang spectrum, from which we extract the infinite volume masses and scattering matrices for various couplings. We compare these results against semiclassical analysis and perturbation theory. We also analyze the critical point of the model and confirm that it is in the Ising universality class.
We derive curvature counterterms in two-dimensional gravity coupled to conformal matter up to infinite order. By construction the higher-order action is equivalent to a finite first-order theory with auxiliary scalar. Due to this equivalence it shares the following remarkable properties: There is no need for gravitational dressing of the cosmological constant, quantization is consistent for any conformal anomaly $c$ of the coupled matter system, and if the coupled matter system is a $c=d~$-dimensional string theory in a Euclidean background then the effective string theory is $D=d+2~$-dimensio…
Truncated Conformal Space Approach (TCSA) is a highly efficient method to compute spectra, operator matrix elements and time evolution in quantum field theories defined as relevant perturbations of 1+1-dimensional conformal field theories. However, similarly to other exact diagonalisation methods, TCSA is ridden with the "curse of dimensionality": the dimension of the Hilbert space increases exponentially with the (square root of the) truncation level, limiting its precision by the available memory resources. Here we describe an algorithm which exploits the chiral factorisation property of con…
We present a three-parameter family of analytic black-hole solutions in the bosonic sector of a four-dimensional supersymmetric model with matter fields in the adjoint representation. The solutions are endowed with curvature and torsional singularities which are both surrounded by an event horizon. They are asymptotically Lorentz flat, representing the torsional generalization of the Riegert black hole in conformal gravity. We compute the partition function to first order in the saddle-point approximation which turns out to be finite without any reference to boundary counterterms. We find a no…
We introduce an approach to find approximate numerical solutions of truncated bootstrap equations for Conformal Field Theories (CFTs) in arbitrary dimensions. The method is based on a stochastic search via a Metropolis algorithm guided by an action $S$ which is the logarithm of the truncated bootstrap equations for a single scalar field correlator. While numerical conformal bootstrap methods based on semi-definite programming put rigorous exclusion bounds on CFTs, this method looks for approximate solutions, which correspond to local minima of $S$, when present, and can be even far from the ex…
We propose a symmetry of $T\bar T$ deformed 2D CFT, which preserves the trace relation. The deformed conformal killing equation is obtained. Once we consider the background metric runs with the deformation parameter $μ$, the deformation contributes an additional term in conformal killing equation, which plays the role of renormalization group flow of metric. The conformal symmetry coincides with the fixed point. On the gravity side, this deformed conformal killing equation can be described by a new boundary condition of AdS$_3$. In addition, based on the deformed conformal killing equation, we…
The crossing equations of a conformal field theory can be systematically truncated to a finite, closed system of polynomial equations. In certain cases, solutions of the truncated equations place strict bounds on the space of all unitary CFTs. We describe the conditions under which this holds, and use the results to develop a fast algorithm for modular bootstrap in 2d CFT. We then apply it to compute spectral gaps to very high precision, find scaling dimensions for over a thousand operators, and extend the numerical bootstrap to the regime of large central charge, relevant to holography. This …
A perturbative quantum theory of the 2-Killing vector reduction of general relativity is constructed. Although non-renormalizable in the standard sense, we show that to all orders of the loop expansion strict cut-off independence can be achieved in a space of Lagrangians differing only by a field dependent conformal factor. In particular the Noether currents and the quantum constraints can be defined as finite composite operators. The form of the field dependence in the conformal factor changes with the renormalization scale and a closed formula is obtained for the beta functional governing it…
We study the one loop renormalization in the most general metric-dilaton theory with the second derivative terms only. The general theory can be divided into two classes, models of one are equivalent to conformally coupled with gravity scalar field and also to general relativity with cosmological term. The models of second class have one extra degree of freedom which corresponds to dilaton. We calculate the one loop divergences for the models of second class and find that the arbitrary functions of dilaton in the starting action can be fine-tuned in such a manner that all the higher derivative…
The g-function was introduced by Affleck and Ludwig as a measure of the ground state degeneracy of a conformal boundary condition. We consider this function for perturbations of the conformal Yang-Lee model by bulk and boundary fields using conformal perturbation theory, the truncated conformal space approach and the thermodynamic Bethe Ansatz (TBA). We find that the TBA equations derived by LeClair et al describe the massless boundary flows, up to an overall constant, but are incorrect when one considers a simultaneous bulk perturbation; however the TBA equations do correctly give the `non-un…
We analyze the defect scaling Lee-Yang model from the perturbed defect conformal field theory (DCFT) point of view. First the defect Lee-Yang model is solved by calculating its structure constants from the sewing relations. Integrable defect perturbations are identified in conformal defect perturbation theory. Then pure defect flows connecting integrable conformal defects are described. We develop a defect truncated conformal space approach (DTCSA) to analyze the one parameter family of integrable massive perturbations in finite volume numerically. Fusing the integrable defect to an integrable…
We use Lightcone Conformal Truncation (LCT) -- a version of Hamiltonian truncation -- to study the nonperturbative, real-time dynamics of $ϕ^4$-theory in 2+1 dimensions. This theory has UV divergences that need to be regulated. We review how, in a Hamiltonian framework with a total energy cutoff, renormalization is necessarily \emph{state-dependent}, and UV sensitivity cannot be canceled with standard local operator counterterms. To overcome this problem, we present a prescription for constructing the appropriate state-dependent counterterms for (2+1)d $ϕ^4$-theory in lightcone quantization. W…
In this paper, we investigate the partition functions of conformal field theories (CFTs) with the $T\bar{T}$ deformation on a torus in terms of the perturbative QFT approach. In Lagrangian path integral formalism, the first- and second-order deformations to the partition functions of 2D free bosons, free Dirac fermions, and free Majorana fermions on a torus are obtained. The corresponding Lagrangian counterterms in these theories are also discussed. The first two orders of the deformed partition functions and the first-order vacuum expectation value (VEV) of the first quantum KdV charge obtain…
We give further support to Smirnov's conjecture on the exact kink S-matrix for the massive Quantum Field Theory describing the integrable perturbation of the c=0.7 minimal Conformal Field theory (known to describe the tri-critical Ising model) by the operator $ϕ_{2,1}$. This operator has conformal dimensions $(7/16,7/16)$ and is identified with the subleading magnetic operator of the tri-critical Ising model. In this paper we apply the Thermodynamic Bethe Ansatz (TBA) approach to the kink scattering theory by explicitly utilising its relationship with the solvable lattice hard hexagon model. A…
We study the energy level spacing of perturbed conformal minimal models in finite volume, considering perturbations of such models that are massive but not necessarily integrable. We compute their spectrum using a renormalization group improved truncated conformal spectrum approach. With this method we are able to study systems where more than 40000 states are kept and where we determine the energies of the lowest several thousand eigenstates with high accuracy. We find, as expected, that the level spacing statistics of integrable perturbed minimal models are Poissonian while the statistics of…
We systematically study the exclusion statistics for quasi-particles for Conformal Field Theory spectra by employing a method based on recursion relations for truncated spectra. Our examples include generalized fermions in c<1 unitary minimal models, Z_k parafermions, and spinons for the su(n)_1, so(n)_1 and sp(2n)_1 Wess-Zumino-Witten models. For some of the latter examples we present explicit expressions for finitized affine characters and for the N-spinon decomposition of affine characters.
We revisit the construction of conformal field theories based on Takiff algebras and superalgebras that was introduced by Babichenko and Ridout. Takiff superalgebras can be thought of as truncated current superalgebras with Z-grading which arise from taking p copies of a Lie superalgebra g and placing them in the degrees s=0,...,p-1. Using suitably defined non-degenerate invariant forms we show that Takiff superalgebras give rise to families of conformal field theories with central charge c=p sdim(g). The resulting conformal field theories are defined in the standard way, i.e. they lend themse…
We both review and augment the lightcone conformal truncation (LCT) method. LCT is a Hamiltonian truncation method for calculating dynamical quantities in QFT in infinite volume. This document is a self-contained, pedagogical introduction and "how-to" manual for LCT. We focus on 2D QFTs which have UV descriptions as free CFTs containing scalars, fermions, and gauge fields, providing a rich starting arena for LCT applications. Along our way, we develop several new techniques and innovations that greatly enhance the efficiency and applicability of LCT. These include the development of CFT radial…
We study the spectrum of the scaling Lee-Yang model on a finite interval from two points of view: via a generalisation of the truncated conformal space approach to systems with boundaries, and via the boundary thermodynamic Bethe ansatz. This allows reflection factors to be matched with specific boundary conditions, and leads us to propose a new (and non-minimal) family of reflection factors to describe the one relevant boundary perturbation in the model. The equations proposed previously for the ground state on an interval must be revised in certain regimes, and we find the necessary modifica…
We propose field theories for the bulk and edge of a quantum Hall state in the universality class of the Haldane-Rezayi wavefunction. The bulk theory is associated with the $c=-2$ conformal field theory. The topological properties of the state, such as the quasiparticle braiding statistics and ground state degeneracy on a torus, may be deduced from this conformal field theory. The 10-fold degeneracy on a torus is explained by the existence of a logarithmic operator in the $c=-2$ theory; this operator corresponds to a novel bulk excitation in the quantum Hall state. We argue that the edge theor…
We consider the one-point functions of bulk and boundary fields in the scaling Lee-Yang model for various combinations of bulk and boundary perturbations. The one-point functions of the bulk fields are analysed using the truncated conformal space approach and the form-factor expansion. Good agreement is found between the results of the two methods, though we find that the expression for the general boundary state given by Ghoshal and Zamolodchikov has to be corrected slightly. For the boundary fields we use thermodynamic Bethe ansatz equations to find exact expressions for the strip and semi-i…
We derive the conformal constraints satisfied by classical vertices of a (Einstein) Gauss-Bonnet theory around flat space, in general dimensions and at $d=4$ (4d EGB). In $4d$ EGB they are obtained by a singular limit of the integral of the Euler-Poincarè density. Our analysis exploits the relation between this theory and the conformal anomaly action, which allows to uncover some interesting features of the GB vertex at cubic and quartic level. If we introduce a conformal decomposition of the metric, the resulting theory can be formulated in two different versions, which are regularization dep…
We present a renormalization group (RG) procedure which works naturally on a wide class of interacting one-dimension models based on perturbed (possibly strongly) continuum conformal and integrable models. This procedure integrates Kenneth Wilson's numerical renormalization group with Al. B. Zamolodchikov's truncated conformal spectrum approach. Key to the method is that such theories provide a set of completely understood eigenstates for which matrix elements can be exactly computed. In this procedure the RG flow of physical observables can be studied both numerically and analytically. To dem…
We develop a systematic method for renormalizing the AdS/CFT prescription for computing correlation functions. This involves regularizing the bulk on-shell supergravity action in a covariant way, computing all divergences, adding counterterms to cancel them and then removing the regulator. We explicitly work out the case of pure gravity up to six dimensions and of gravity coupled to scalars. The method can also be viewed as providing a holographic reconstruction of the bulk spacetime metric and of bulk fields on this spacetime, out of conformal field theory data. Knowing which sources are turn…
We determine both analytically and numerically the entanglement between chiral degrees of freedom in the ground state of massive perturbations of 1+1 dimensional conformal field theories quantised on a cylinder. Analytic predictions are obtained from a variational Ansatz for the ground state in terms of smeared conformal boundary states recently proposed by J. Cardy, which is validated by numerical results from the Truncated Conformal Space Approach. We also extend the scope of the Ansatz by resolving ground state degeneracies exploiting the operator product expansion. The chiral entanglement …
We discuss the non-equilibrium time evolution of the phase field in the sine-Gordon model using two very different approaches: the truncated Wigner approximation and the truncated conformal space approach. We demonstrate that the two approaches agree for a period covering the first few oscillations, thereby giving a solid theoretical prediction in the framework of sine-Gordon model, which is thought to describe the dynamics of two bosonic condensates in quasi-one-dimensional traps coupled via a Josephson tunneling term. We conclude, however, that the recently observed phase-locking behavior ca…
The amplitude for the singlet channels in the 4-point function of the fundamental field in the conformal field theory of the 2d $O(n)$ model is studied as a function of $n$. For a generic value of $n$, the 4-point function has infinitely many amplitudes, whose landscape can be very spiky as the higher amplitude changes its sign many times at the simple poles, which generalize the unique pole of the energy operator amplitude at $n=0$. In the stadard parameterization of $n$ by angle in unit of $π$, we find that the zeros and poles happen at the rational angles, forming a hierarchical tree struct…
We reconsider the Adler-Bardeen theorem for the cancellation of gauge anomalies to all orders, when they vanish at one loop. Using the Batalin-Vilkovisky formalism and combining the dimensional-regularization technique with the higher-derivative gauge invariant regularization, we prove the theorem in the most general perturbatively unitary renormalizable gauge theories coupled to matter in four dimensions, and identify the subtraction scheme where anomaly cancellation to all orders is manifest, namely no subtractions of finite local counterterms are required from two loops onwards. Our approac…
