We revisit the construction of conformal field theories based on Takiff algebras and superalgebras that was introduced by Babichenko and Ridout. Takiff superalgebras can be thought of as truncated current superalgebras with Z-grading which arise from taking p copies of a Lie superalgebra g and placing them in the degrees s=0,...,p-1. Using suitably defined non-degenerate invariant forms we show that Takiff superalgebras give rise to families of conformal field theories with central charge c=p sdim(g). The resulting conformal field theories are defined in the standard way, i.e. they lend themselves to a Lagrangian description in terms of a WZW model and their chiral energy momentum tensor is the one obtained naturally from the usual Sugawara construction. In view of their intricate representation theory they provide interesting examples of conformal field theories.
Takiff superalgebras are a family of non semi-simple Lie superalgebras that are believed to give rise to a rich structure of indecomposable representations of associated conformal field theories. We consider the Takiff superalgebra of gl(1|1), especially we perform harmonic analysis for the corresponding supergroup. We find that every simple module appears as submodule of an infinite-dimensional indecomposable but reducible module. We lift our results to two free field realizations for the corresponding conformal field theory and construct some modules.
A class of non-semisimple extensions of Lie superalgebras is studied. They are obtained by adjoining to the superalgebra its adjoint representation as an abelian ideal. When the superalgebra is of affine Kac-Moody type, a generalisation of Sugawara's construction is shown to give rise to a copy of the Virasoro algebra and so, presumably, to a conformal field theory. Evidence for this is detailed for the extension of the affinisation of the superalgebra gl(1|1): Its highest weight irreducible modules are classified using spectral flow, the irreducible supercharacters are computed and a continuu…
An N=4 supersymmetric extension of the l-conformal Galilei algebra is constructed. This is achieved by combining generators of spatial symmetries from the l-conformal Galilei algebra and those underlying the most general superconformal group in one dimension D(2,1;a). The value of the group parameter a is fixed from the requirement that the resulting superalgebra is finite-dimensional. The analysis reveals a=-1/2 thus reducing D(2,1;a) to OSp(4|2).
By applying Niederer--like transformation, we construct a representation of the N=2 l-conformal Newton-Hooke superalgebra for the case of a negative cosmological constant in terms of linear differential operators as well as its dynamical realization. Another variant of N=2 supersymmetric Pais-Uhlenbeck oscillator for a particular choice of its frequencies is proposed. The advantages of such realizations as compared to their analogues introduced in [J. Math. Phys. 53 (2012) 072904], [J. Math. Phys. 56 (2015) 022902] are discussed.
N=4 supersymmetric extensions of the l-conformal Galilei algebra are constructed by properly extending the Lie superalgebra associated with the most general N=4 superconformal group in one dimension D(2,1;a). If the acceleration generators in the superalgebra form analogues of the irreducible (1,4,3)-, (2,4,2)-, (3,4,1)-, and (4,4,0)-supermultiplets of D(2,1;a), the parameter a turns out to be constrained by the Jacobi identities. In contrast, if the tower of the acceleration generators resembles a component decomposition of a generic real superfield, which is a reducible representation of D(2…
We show that the first-order symmetry operators of twistor spinors can be constructed from conformal Killing-Yano forms in conformally-flat backgrounds. We express the conditions on conformal Killing-Yano forms to obtain mutually commuting symmetry operators of twistor spinors. Conformal superalgebras which consist of conformal Killing vectors and twistor spinors and play important roles in supersymmetric field theories in conformal backgrounds are extended to more general superalgebras by using the graded Lie algebra structure of conformal Killing-Yano forms and the symmetry operators of twis…
Symmetry algebras of Killing vector fields and conformal Killing vectors fields can be extended to Killing-Yano and conformal Killing-Yano superalgebras in constant curvature manifolds. By defining $\mathbb{Z}$-gradations and filtrations of these superalgebras, we show that the second cohomology groups of them are trivial and they cannot be deformed to other Lie superalgebras. This shows the rigidity of Killing-Yano and conformal Killing-Yano superalgebras and reveals the fact that they correspond to geometric invariants of constant curvature manifolds. We discuss the structures and dimensions…
Inequivalent N=2 supersymmetrizations of the l-conformal Galilei algebra in d-spatial dimensions are constructed from the chiral (2,2) and the real (1,2,1) basic supermultiplets of the N=2 supersymmetry. For non-negative integer and half-integer l both superalgebras admit a consistent truncation with a (different) finite number of generators. The real N=2 case coincides with the superalgebra introduced by Masterov, while the chiral N=2 case is a new superalgebra. We present D-module representations of both superalgebras. Then we investigate the new superalgebra derived from the chiral supermul…
We consider polynomial deformations of Lie superalgebras and their representations. For the class A(n-1,0) ~ sl(n/1), we identify families of superalgebras of quadratic and cubic type, consistent with Jacobi identities. For such deformed superalgebras we point out the possibility of zero step supermultiplets, carried on a single, irreducible representation of the even (Lie) subalgebra. For the conformal group SU(2,2) in 1+3-dimensional spacetime, such irreducible (unitary) representations correspond to standard conformal fields (j_1,j_2;d), where (j_1,j_2) is the spin and d the conformal dimen…
We show how the rigid conformal supersymmetries associated with a certain class of pseudo-Riemannian spin manifolds define a Lie superalgebra. The even part of this superalgebra contains conformal isometries and constant R-symmetries. The odd part is generated by twistor spinors valued in a particular R-symmetry representation. We prove that any manifold which admits a conformal symmetry superalgebra of this type must generically have dimension less than seven. Moreover, in dimensions three, four, five and six, we provide the generic data from which the conformal symmetry superalgebra is presc…
Quantum Yangian symmetry in several sigma models with supergroup or supercoset as target is established. Starting with a two-dimensional conformal field theory that has current symmetry of a Lie superalgebra with vanishing Killing form we construct non-local charges and compute their properties. Yangian axioms are satisfied, except that the Serre relations only hold for a subsector of the space of fields. Yangian symmetry implies that correlation functions of fields in this sector satisfy Ward identities. We then show that this symmetry is preserved by certain perturbations of the conformal fi…
We consider a class of smooth oriented Lorentzian manifolds in dimensions three and four which admit a nowhere vanishing conformal Killing vector and a closed two-form that is invariant under the Lie algebra of conformal Killing vectors. The invariant two-form is constrained in a particular way by the conformal geometry of the manifold. In three dimensions, the conformal Killing vector must be everywhere causal (or null if the invariant two-form vanishes identically). In four dimensions, the conformal Killing vector must be everywhere null and the invariant two-form vanishes identically if the…
The dynamical symmetries of $1+1$-dimensional Matrix Partial Differential Equations with a Calogero potential (with/without the presence of an extra oscillatorial De Alfaro-Fubini-Furlan, DFF, damping term) are investigated. The first-order invariant differential operators induce several invariant algebras and superalgebras. Besides the $sl(2)\oplus u(1)$ invariance of the Calogero Conformal Mechanics, an $osp(2|2)$ invariant superalgebra, realized by first-order and second-order differential operators, is obtained. The invariant algebras with an infinite tower of generators are given by the u…
The issue of constructing N=1,2,3 supersymmetric extensions of the l-conformal Galilei algebra is reconsidered following the approach in [JHEP 1709 (2017) 131]. Drawing a parallel between acceleration generators entering the superalgebra and irreducible supermultiplets of d=1, N-extended superconformal group, a new N=1 l-conformal Galilei superalgebra, two new N=2 variants, and two new N=3 versions are built. Realisations in terms of differential operators in superspace are given.
We obtain a new free field realization of $N=2$ super $W_{3}$ algebra using the technique of quantum hamiltonian reduction. The construction is based on a particular choice of the simple root system of the affine Lie superalgebra $sl(3|2)^{(1)}$ associated with a non-standard $sl(2)$ embedding. After twisting and a similarity transformation, this $W$ algebra can be identified as the extended topological conformal algebra of non-critical $W_{3}$ string theory.
Dynamical systems which are invariant under N=1 supersymmetric extension of the l-conformal Galilei algebra are constructed. These include a free N=1 superparticle which is governed by higher derivative equations of motion and an N=1 supersymmetric Pais-Uhlenbeck oscillator for a particular choice of its frequencies. A Niederer-like transformation which links the models is proposed.
Motivated by application of current superalgebras in the study of disordered systems such as the random XY and Dirac models, we investigate $gl(2|2)$ current superalgebra at general level $k$. We construct its free field representation and corresponding Sugawara energy-momentum tensor in the non-standard basis. Three screen currents of the first kind are also presented.
Representations of the superalgebra $osp(2|2)$ and current superalgebra $osp(2|2)^{(1)}_k$ in the standard basis are investigated. All finite-dimensional typical and atypical representations of $osp(2|2)$ are constructed by the vector coherent state method. Primary fields of the non-unitary conformal field theory associated with $osp(2|2)^{(1)}_k$ in the standard basis are constructed for arbitrary level $k$.
We study the topologically twisted osp(2|2)+osp(2|2) conformal superalgebra. The algebra includes the Lagrangians which are intrinsic to the topological field theory and composed of fermionic generators. Studying the Lagrangians through a gauge system of osp(2|2)+osp(2|2), geometrical features inherent to the algebra are revealed: a moduli space associated with the algebra is derived and the crucial roles which the fermionic generators play in the moduli space are clarified It is argued that there exists a specific relation between the topological twist and the moduli problem through a geometr…
We analyze the structure of the family of quadratic superalgebras, introduced in J Phys A 44(23):235205 (2011), for the quadatic deformations of $N = 1$ space-time conformal supersymmetry. We characterize in particular the `zero-step' modules for this case. In such modules, the odd generators vanish identically, and the quadratic superalgebra is realized on a single irreducible representation of the even subalgebra (which is a Lie algebra). In the case under study, the quadratic deformations of $N = 1$ space-time conformal supersymmetry, it is shown that each massless positive energy unitary i…
The property of the conformal algebra to contain the Schrödinger algebra in one less space dimension is extended to the supersymmetric case. More precisely, we determine the counterpart of any field theory admissible super conformal algebra. Even if each type of superalgebra provides a different solution, its basis decomposition into two copies of the super Schrödinger algebra, differing only by their super Heisenberg part, remains valid in all the cases, so generalizing a feature already observed in the non supersymmetric conformal case.
We use world-line methods for pseudo-supersymmetry to construct $sl(2|1)$-invariant actions for the $(2,2,0)$ chiral and ($1,2,1)$ real supermultiplets of the twisted $D$-module representations of the $sl(2|1)$ superalgebra. The derived one-dimensional topological conformal $σ$-models are invariant under nilpotent operators. The actions are constructed for both parabolic and hyperbolic/trigonometric realizations (with extra potential terms in the latter case). The scaling dimension $λ$ of the supermultiplets defines a coupling constant, $2λ+1$, the free theories being recovered at $λ=-\frac{1}…

We describe the set of generalized Poincare and conformal superalgebras in D=4,5 and 7 dimensions as two sequences of superalgebraic structures, taking values in the division algebras R, C and H. The generalized conformal superalgebras are described for D=4 by OSp(1;8| R), for D=5 by SU(4,4;1) and for D=7 by U_αU(8;1|H). The relation with other schemes, in particular the framework of conformal spin (super)algebras and Jordan (super)algebras is discussed. By extending the division-algebra-valued superalgebras to octonions we get in D=11 an octonionic generalized Poincare superalgebra, which we …
We present a classification of $W$ algebras and superalgebras arising in Abelian as well as non Abelian Toda theories. Each model, obtained from a constrained WZW action, is related with an $Sl(2)$ subalgebra (resp. $OSp(1|2)$ superalgebra) of a simple Lie algebra (resp. superalgebra) $\cg$. However, the determination of an $U(1)_Y$ factor, commuting with $Sl(2)$ (resp. $OSp(1|2)$), appears, when it exists, particularly useful to characterize the corresponding $W$ algebra. The (super) conformal spin contents of each $W$ (super)algebra is performed. The class of all the superconformal algebras …
We study the conformal groups of Jordan algebras along the lines suggested by Kantor. They provide a natural generalization of the concept of conformal transformations that leave 2-angles invariant to spaces where "p-angles" can be defined. We give an oscillator realization of the generalized conformal groups of Jordan algebras and Jordan triple systems(JTS). These results are extended to Jordan superalgebras and super JTS's. We give the conformal algebras of simple Jordan algebras, hermitian JTS's and the simple Jordan superalgebras as classified by Kac.
We study the linear differential system associated with the supersymmetric affine Toda field equations for affine Lie superalgebras, which has a purely odd simple root system. For an affine Lie algebra, the linear problem modified by conformal transformation leads to an ordinary differential equation (ODE) that provides the functional relations in the integrable models. This is known as the ODE/IM correspondence. For the affine Lie superalgebras, the linear equations modified by a superconformal transformation are shown to reduce to a couple of ODEs for each bosonic subalgebra. In particular, …
In this paper we explore the relation between conformal superalgebras with 64 supercharges and maximal supergravity theories in three, four and six dimensions using twistorial oscillator techniques. The massless fields of N=8 supergravity in four dimensions were shown to fit into a CPT-self-conjugate doubleton supermultiplet of the conformal superalgebra SU(2,2|8) a long time ago. We show that the fields of maximal supergravity in three dimensions can similarly be fitted into the super singleton multiplet of the conformal superalgebra OSp(16|4,R), which is related to the doubleton supermultipl…
It is shown that similarly to massless superparticle, classical global symmetry of the Berkovits twistor string action is infinite-dimensional. We identify its superalgebra, whose finite-dimensional subalgebra contains $psl(4|4,\mathbb R)$ superalgebra. In quantum theory this infinite-dimensional symmetry breaks down to $SL(4|4,\mathbb R)$ one.
In this paper we investigate a particular possibility to extend C(1,3) conformal symmetry using Heisenberg operators, and a related possibility to extend conformal supersymmetry using parabose operators. The symmetry proposed is of a simple mathematical form, as is the form of necessary symmetry breaking that reduces it to the conformal (super)symmetry. It turns out that this extension of conformal superalgebra can be obtained from standard non-extended conformal superalgebra by allowing anticommutators $\{Q_η, Q_ξ\}$ and $\{\bar Q_{\dot η}, \bar Q_{\dot ξ}\}$ to be nonzero operators and then …
We give character formulae for the positive energy unitary irreducible representations of the N-extended D=4 conformal superalgebras su(2,2/N). Using these we also derive decompositions of long superfields as they descend to the unitarity threshold. These results are also applicable to irreps of the complex Lie superalgebras sl(4/N). Our derivations use results from the representation theory of su(2,2/N) developed already in the 80s.
We study the conformal field theories corresponding to current superalgebras $osp(2|2)^{(1)}_k$ and $osp(2|2)^{(2)}_k$. We construct the free field realizations, screen currents and primary fields of these current superalgebras at general level $k$. All the results for $osp(2|2)^{(2)}_k$ are new, and the results for the primary fields of $osp(2|2)^{(1)}_k$ also seem to be new. Our results are expected to be useful in the supersymmetric approach to Gaussian disordered systems such as random bond Ising model and Dirac model.
In a recent paper (JHEP {\bf 1508} (2015) 021), we have investigated hypersymmetry bounds in the context of simple anti-de Sitter hypergravity in $2+1$ dimensions. We showed that these bounds involved non linearly the spin-$2$ and spin-$4$ charges, and were saturated by a class of extremal black holes, which are $\frac14$-hypersymmetric. We continue the analysis here by considering $(M,N)$-extended anti-de Sitter hypergravity models, based on the superalgebra $osp(M \vert 4) \oplus osp(N \vert 4)$. The asymptotic symmetry superalgebra is then the direct sum of two-copies of a $W$-superalgebra …
We show that we can combine the (complex, self-dual) BMS vector fields with the recently defined BMS twistors to obtain a new supersymmetric extension of the BMS symmetries at null infinity. We compare our construction to other supersymmetric extensions of the BMS algebra proposed in the context of supergravity. Unlike the standard constructions the anticommutator in our superalgebra generates all the BMS vector fields including the Lorentz transformations. We also show that there exists a projection from our BMS Lie superalgebra to the global subalgebra of the Neveu-Schwarz supersymmetries on…
We review some results recently obtained for the conformal field theories based on the affine Lie superalgebra osp(1|2). In particular, we study the representation theory of the osp(1|2) current algebras and their character formulas. By means of a free field representation of the conformal blocks, we obtain the structure constants and the fusion rules of the model. (Lecture delivered at the CERN-Santiago de Compostela-La Plata Meeting, "Trends in Theoretical Physics", La Plata, Argentina, April-May 1997).
We study the hamiltonian reduction of affine Lie superalgebra $sl(2|1)^{(1)}$. Based on a scalar Lax operator formalism, we derive the free field realization of the classical topological topological algebra which appears in the $c\leq1$ non-critical strings. In the quantum case, we analyze the BRST cohomology to get the quantum free field expression of the algebra.
The non-semisimple $gl(2|2)_k$ current superalgebra in the standard basis and the corresponding non-unitary conformal field theory are investigated. Infinite families of primary fields corresponding to all finite-dimensional irreducible typical and atypical representations of $gl(2|2)$ and three (two even and one odd) screening currents of the first kind are constructed explicitly in terms of ten free fields.
Boundary integrable models with N=2 supersymmetry are considered. For the simplest boundary N=2 superconformal minimal model with a Chebyshev bulk perturbation we show explicitly how fermionic boundary degrees of freedom arise naturally in the boundary perturbation in order to maintain integrability and N=2 supersymmetry. A new boundary reflection matrix is obtained for this model and N=2 boundary superalgebra is studied. A factorized scattering theory is proposed for a N=2 supersymmetric extension of the boundary sine-Gordon model with either (i) fermionic or (ii) bosonic and fermionic bounda…
We discuss the $N=2$ super $W$ algebras from the hamiltonian reduction of affine Lie superalgebras $A(n|n-1)^{(1)}$ and $A(n|n)^{(1)}$. From the quantum hamiltonian reduction of $A(n|n-1)^{(1)}$ we get the free field realization of $N=2$ $CP_{n}$ super coset models. In the case of the affine Lie superalgebras $A(n|n)^{(1)}$, the corresponding conformal field theories do not have $N=2$ superconformal symmetry. However we show that these models are twisted $N=2$ $CP_{n}$ models and may be regarded as topological conformal field theories. (Talk presented at the International Workshop on "String T…
By using the free field worldsheet realization described by Gaberdiel and Gopakumar recently, we construct the nontrivial lowest generators of the higher spin superalgebra $hs(2,2|4)$. They consist of cubic terms between the bilinears of ambitwistor-like fields. We also obtain the worldsheet description for the findings of Sezgin and Sundell twenty years ago given by the familiar oscillator construction. The first order poles of the operator product expansions (OPEs), between the conformal weight-$1$ generators of Lie superalgebra $PSU(2,2|4)$ and the above conformal weight-$3$ generators of $…
We review recent developments in the context of two-dimensional conformally invariant sigma-models. These quantum field theories play a prominent role in the covariant superstring quantization in flux backgrounds and in the analysis of disordered systems. We present supergroup WZW models as primary examples of logarithmic conformal field theories, whose structure is almost entirely determined by the underlying supergeometry. In particular, we discuss the harmonic analysis on supergroups and supercosets and point out the subtleties of Lie superalgebra representation theory that are responsible …
We investigate a special class of the $\mathcal{PT}$-symmetric quantum models being perfectly invisible zero-gap systems with a unique bound state at the very edge of continuous spectrum of scattering states. The family includes the $\mathcal{PT}$-regularized two particle Calogero systems (conformal quantum mechanics models of de Alfaro-Fubini-Furlan) and their rational extensions whose potentials satisfy equations of the KdV hierarchy and exhibit, particularly, a behaviour typical for extreme waves. We show that the two simplest Hamiltonians from the Calogero subfamily determine the fluctuati…
We derive short UIR's of the OSp(8/4,R) superalgebra of 3d N=8 superconformal field theories by the requirement that the highest weight states are annihilated by a subset of the super-Poincare odd generators. We then find a superfield realization of these BPS saturated UIR's as "composite operators" of the two basic ultrashort "supersingleton" multiplets. These representations are the AdS4 analogue of BPS states preserving different fractions of supersymmetry and are therefore suitable to classify perturbative and non-perturbative excitations of M-theory compactifications.
An analysis is given of the structure of a general two-dimensional Toda field theory involving bosons and fermions which is defined in terms of a set of simple roots for a Lie superalgebra. It is shown that a simple root system for a superalgebra has two natural bosonic root systems associated with it which can be found very simply using Dynkin diagrams; the construction is closely related to the question of how to recover the signs of the entries of a Cartan matrix for a superalgebra from its Dynkin diagram. The significance for Toda theories is that the bosonic root systems correspond to the…
In this work we pursue the singular-vector analysis of the integrable perturbations of conformal theories that was initiated in hep-th/9603088. Here we consider the detailed study of the N=1 superconformal theory and show that all integrable perturbations can be identified from a simple singular-vector argument. We identify these perturbations as theories based on affine Lie superalgebras and show that the results we obtain relating two perturbations can be understood by the extension of affine Toda duality to these theories with fermions. We also discuss how this duality is broken in specific…
A superspace formulation is proposed for the osp(1,2)-covariant Lagrangian quantization of general massive gauge theories. Thereby, osp(1,2) is considered as subalgebra of the superalgebra sl(1,2) which is interpreted as conformal algebra acting on two anticommuting coordinates. The mass-dependent (anti)BRST symmetries of the quantum action in the osp(1,2) superfield formalism are realized as translations associated by mass-dependent special conformal transformations.
A superspace formulation is proposed for the osp(1,2)-covariant Lagrangian quantization of general massive gauge theories. The superalgebra os0(1,2) is considered as subalgebra of sl(1,2); the latter may be considered as the algebra of generators of the conformal group in a superspace with two anticommuting coordinates. The mass-dependent (anti)BRST symmetries of proper solutions of the quantum master equations in the osp(1,2)-covariant formalism are realized in that superspace as invariance under translations combined with mass-dependent special conformal transformations. The Sp(2) symmetry -…
In this paper we fill a necessary gap in order to realize the explicit comparison between the Kaluza Klein spectra of supergravity compactified on AdS_4 x X^7 and superconformal field theories living on the world volume of M2-branes. On the algebraic side we consider the superalgebra Osp(N|4) and we study the double interpretation of its irreducible representations either as supermultiplets of particle states in the bulk or as conformal superfields on the boundary. On the lagrangian field theory side we construct, using rheonomy rather than superfield techniques, the generic form of an N=2, d=…
I review the relationship between AdS/CFT (anti-de Sitter / conformal field theory) dualities and the general theory of positive energy unitary representations of non-compact space-time groups and supergroups. I show, in particular, how one can go from the manifestly unitary compact basis of the lowest weight (positive energy) representations of the conformal group (Wigner picture) to the manifestly covariant coherent state basis (Dirac picture). The coherent states labelled by the space-time coordinates correspond to covariant fields with a definite conformal dimension. These results extend t…
We study the crossing symmetry of the conformal blocks of the conformal field theory based on the affine Lie superalgebra osp(1|2). Within the framework of a free field realization of the osp(1|2) current algebra, the fusion and braiding matrices of the model are determined. These results are related in a simple way to those corresponding to the su(2) algebra by means of a suitable identification of parameters. In order to obtain the link invariants corresponding to the osp(1|2) conformal field theory, we analyze the corresponding topological Chern-Simons theory. In a first approach we quantiz…
We consider the supersymmetric approach to gaussian disordered systems like the random bond Ising model and Dirac model with random mass and random potential. These models appeared in particular in the study of the integer quantum Hall transition. The supersymmetric approach reveals an osp(2/2)_1 affine symmetry at the pure critical point. A similar symmetry should hold at other fixed points. We apply methods of conformal field theory to determine the conformal weights at all levels. These weights can generically be negative because of non-unitarity. Constraints such as locality allow us to qu…
We study the unitary supermultiplets of the N=4 d=7 anti-de Sitter (AdS_7) superalgebra OSp(8^*|4), with the even subalgebra SO(6,2) X USp(4), which is the symmetry superalgebra of M-theory on AdS_7 X S^4. We give a complete classification of the positive energy doubleton and massless supermultiplets of OSp(8^*|4) . The ultra-short doubleton supermultiplets do not have a Poincaré limit in AdS_7 and correspond to superconformal field theories on the boundary of AdS_7 which can be identified with d=6 Minkowski space. We show that the six dimensional Poincare mass operator vanishes identically fo…
We study two-dimensional nonlinear sigma models in which the target spaces are the coset supermanifolds U(n+m|n)/[U(1)\times U(n+m-1|n)] \cong CP^{n+m-1|n} (projective superspaces) and OSp(2n+m|2n)/OSp(2n+m-1|2n) \cong S^{2n+m-1|2n} (superspheres), n, m integers, -2\leq m\leq 2; these quantum field theories live in Hilbert spaces with indefinite inner products. These theories possess non-trivial conformally-invariant renormalization-group fixed points, or in some cases, lines of fixed points. Some of the conformal fixed-point theories can also be obtained within Landau-Ginzburg theories. We ob…
