We give a proof that every space of weighted square-integrable holomorphic functions admits an equivalent weight whose Bergman kernel has zeroes. Here the weights are equivalent in the sense that they determine the same space of holomorphic functions. Additionally, a family of radial weights in $L^1(\mathbb{C})$ whose associated Bergman kernels have infinitely many zeroes is exhibited.
We study the question of when two weighted variable exponent Bergman spaces or Hardy spaces are equivalent. As an application, we show that variable exponent Hardy spaces have a close relation to classical Hardy spaces when the exponent is log-Hölder continuous and has bounded harmonic conjugate (when extended from its boundary values to be harmonic in the disc). We use this to characterize Carleson measures for these variable exponent Hardy spaces. We also prove under certain conditions an analogue of Littlewood subordination and a result on the boundedness of composition operators.
In this paper we study the boundedness of Bergman projectors on weighted Bergman spaces on homogeneous Siegel domains of Type II. As it appeared to be a natural approach in the special case of tube domains over irreducible symmetric cones, we study such boundedness on the scale of mixed-norm weighted Lebesgue spaces. The sharp range for the boundedness of such operators is essentially known only in the case of tube domains over Lorentz cones. In this paper we prove that the boundedness of such Bergman projectors is equivalent to variuos notions of atomic decomposition, duality, and characteriz…
We prove that for a pseudoconvex domain of the form $\mathfrak{A} = \{(z, w) \in \mathbb C^2 : v > F(z, u)\}$, where $w = u + iv$ and F is a continuous function on ${\mathbb C}_z \times {\mathbb R}_u$, the following conditions are equivalent: (1) The domain $\mathfrak{A}$ is Kobayashi hyperbolic. (2) The domain $\mathfrak{A}$ is Brody hyperbolic. (3) The domain $\mathfrak{A}$ possesses a Bergman metric. (4) The domain $\mathfrak{A}$ possesses a bounded smooth strictly plurisubharmonic function, i.e. the core $\mathfrak{c}(\mathfrak{A})$ of $\mathfrak{A}$ is empty. (5) The graph $Γ(F)$ of $F$ c…
An equivalent norm in the weighted Bergman space $A^p_ω$, induced by an $ω$ in a certain large class of non-radial weights, is established in terms of higher order derivatives. Other Littlewood-Paley inequalities are also considered. On the way to the proofs, we characterize the $q$-Carleson measures for the weighted Bergman space $A^p_ω$ and the boundedness of a Hörmander-type maximal function. Results obtained are further applied to describe the resolvent set of the integral operators $T_g(f)(z)=\int_0^z g'(ζ)f(ζ)\,dζ$ acting on $A^p_ω$.
We prove that for a bounded domain in $\mathbb C^n$ with the Bergman metric of constant holomorphic sectional curvature being biholomorphic to a ball is equivalent to the hyperconvexity or the exhaustiveness of the Bergman-Calabi diastasis. By finding its connection with the Bergman representative coordinate, we give explicit formulas of the Bergman-Calabi diastasis and show that it has bounded gradient. In particular, we prove that any bounded domain whose Bergman metric has constant holomorphic sectional curvature is Lu Qi-Keng. We also extend a theorem of Lu towards the incomplete situation…
We~identify the standard weighted Bergman kernels of spaces of nearly holomorphic functions, in~the sense of Shimura, on~bounded symmetric domains. This also yields a description of the analogous kernels for spaces of ``invariantly-polyanalytic'' functions -- a~generalization of the ordinary polyanalytic functions on the ball which seems to be the most appropriate one from the point of view of holomorphic invariance. In~both cases, the~kernels turn out to be given by certain spherical functions, or equivalently Heckman-Opdam hypergeometric functions, and a conjecture relating some of these to …
The boundedness of the small Hankel operator $h_f^ν(g)=P_ν(f\bar{g})$, induced by an analytic symbol $f$ and the Bergman projection $P_ν$ associated to $ν$, acting from the weighted Bergman space $A^p_\om$ to $A^q_ν$ is characterized on the full range $0<p,q<\infty$ when $ω,ν$ belong to the class $\mathcal{D}$ of radial weights admitting certain two-sided doubling conditions. Certain results obtained are equivalent to the boundedness of bilinear Hankel forms, which are in turn used to establish the weak factorization $A_η^{q}=A_ω^{p_{1}}\odot A_ν^{p_{2}}$, where $1<q,p_{1},p_{2}<\infty$ such t…
This paper is devoted to the study of the weighted Bergman space $A_ω^p $ in the unit ball $\mathbb{B}$ of $\mathbb{C}^n$ with doubling weight $ω$ satisfying $$\int_r^1ω(t)dt <C \int_{\frac{1+r}{2}}^1ω(t)dt ,\,\, 0\leq r<1.$$ The $q-$Carleson measures for $A_ω^p$ are characterized in terms of a neat geometric condition involving Carleson block. Some equivalent characterizations for $A_ω^p$ are obtained by using the radial derivative and admissible approach regions. The boundedness and compactness of Volterra integral operator $T_g:A_ω^p\to A_ω^q$ are also investigated in this paper with $0<p\l…
A radial weight $ω$ belongs to the class $\widehat{\mathcal{D}}$ if there exists $C=C(ω)\ge 1$ such that $\int_r^1 ω(s)\,ds\le C\int_{\frac{1+r}{2}}^1ω(s)\,ds$ for all $0\le r<1$. Write $ω\in\check{\mathcal{D}}$ if there exist constants $K=K(ω)>1$ and $C=C(ω)>1$ such that $\widehatω(r)\ge C\widehatω\left(1-\frac{1-r}{K}\right)$ for all $0\le r<1$. In a recent paper, we have recently prove that these classes of radial weights arise naturally in the operator theory of Bergman spaces induced by radial weights. Classical results by Hardy and Littlewood, and Shields and Williams, show that the weig…
A one-component inner function $Θ$ is an inner function whose level set $$Ω_Θ(\varepsilon)=\{z\in \mathbb{D}:|Θ(z)|<\varepsilon\}$$ is connected for some $\varepsilon\in (0,1)$. We give a sufficient condition for a Blaschke product with zeros in a Stolz domain to be a one-component inner function. Moreover, a sufficient condition is obtained in the case of atomic singular inner functions. We study also derivatives of one-component inner functions in the Hardy and Bergman spaces. For instance, it is shown that, for $0<p<\infty$, the derivative of a one-component inner function $Θ$ is a member o…
By considering intrinsic geometric conditions, we introduce a new class of domains in complex Euclidean space. This class is invariant under biholomorphism and includes strongly pseudoconvex domains, finite type domains in dimension two, convex domains, $\mathbb{C}$-convex domains, and homogeneous domains. For this class of domains, we show that compactness of the $\bar{\partial}$-Neumann operator on $(0,q)$-forms is equivalent to the boundary not containing any $q$-dimensional analytic varieties (assuming only that the boundary is a topological submanifold). We also prove, for this class of d…
We observe that local embedding problems for certain Hardy and Bergman spaces of Dirichlet series are equivalent to boundedness of a class of composition operators. Following this, we perform a careful study of such composition operators generated by polynomial symbols $φ$ on a scale of Bergman--type Hilbert spaces $\mathcal{D}_α$. We investigate the optimal $β$ such that the composition operator $\mathcal{C}_φ$ maps $\mathcal{D}_α$ boundedly into $\mathcal{D}_β$. We also prove a new embedding theorem for the non-Hilbertian Hardy space $\mathcal H^p$ into a Bergman space in the half-plane and …
We show that in a scale of weighted Dirichlet spaces $D_α$, including the Bergman space, given any finite Blaschke product $B$ there exists an equivalent norm in $D_α$ such that $B$ satisfies the wandering subspace property with respect to such norm. This extends, in some sense, previous results by Carswell, Duren and Stessin. As a particular instance, when $B(z)=z^k$ and $|α| \leq \frac{\log (2)}{\log(k+1)}$, the chosen norm is the usual one in $D_α$.
