We show that for many moduli spaces M of torsion sheaves on K3 surfaces S, the functor D(S) -> D(M) induced by the universal sheaf is a P-functor, hence can be used to construct an autoequivalence of D(M), and that this autoequivalence can be factored into geometrically meaningful equivalences associated to abelian fibrations and Mukai flops. Along the way we produce a derived equivalence between two compact hyperkaehler 2g-folds that are not birational, for every g >= 2. We also speculate about an approach to showing that birational moduli spaces of sheaves on K3 surfaces are derived-equivalent.
In this article, we classify the irreducible components of moduli stacks of torsion free sheaves of rank 2 on K3 surfaces of Picard number 1. For ruled surfaces, the components of moduli stacks of torsion free sheaves were classified by C.Walter. Moreover, by virtue of our result, we classify the irreducible components of Brill-Noether loci of Hilbert schemes of points on K3 surfaces.
We construct a moduli space of slope-semistable pure sheaves, building upon previous work of Le Potier and Jun Li on torsion-free sheaves over smooth surfaces. In particular, our construction provides a compactification of the Simpson moduli space of slope-stable reflexive sheaves. We also prove an effective restriction theorem for slope-(semi)stable pure sheaves following an approach due to Langer.
In this paper, we study the Picard group of the moduli space of semistable sheaves on a smooth quadric surface. We polarize the surface by an ample divisor close to the anticanonical class. We focus especially on moduli spaces of sheaves of small discriminant, where we observe new and interesting behavior. Our method relies on constructing certain resolutions for semistable sheaves and applying techniques of geometric invariant theory to the resulting families of sheaves.
In this paper, we study the geometric invariant theory on algebraic spaces, and construct te moduli spaces of $\mathcal{H}$-semistable sheaves on projective Deligne-Mumford stacks over algebraic spaces $S$. We prove that this moduli space is projective over $S$ as an algebraic space.
Let M be a projective fine moduli space of stable sheaves on a smooth projective variety X with a universal family E. We prove that in four examples, E can be realized as a complete flat family of stable sheaves on M parametrized by X, which identifies X with a smooth connected component of some moduli space of stable sheaves on M.
Given a moduli problem posed using Geometric Invariant Theory, one can use Non-Reductive Geometric Invariant Theory to quotient unstable HKKN strata and construct 'moduli spaces of unstable objects', extending the usual moduli classifications. After giving a self-contained account of how to do this, we apply this method to construct moduli spaces for certain unstable coherent sheaves of HN length 2 on a projective scheme, which we call $τ$-stable sheaves. This extends a previous result of Brambila-Paz and Mata-Gutiérrez for rank two vector bundles on a curve.
