We expand upon a claim made in a recent paper [arXiv:1411.5721] that generic minimally supersymmetric AdS backgrounds of warped flux compactifications of Type II and M theory can be understood as satisfying a straightforward weak integrability condition in the language of $E_{d(d)}\times\mathbb{R}^+$ generalised geometry. Namely, they are spaces admitting a generalised $G$-structure set by the Killing spinor and with constant singlet generalised intrinsic torsion.
We study supersymmetric AdS$_D$ backgrounds of eleven-dimensional or type II supergravity preserving $\mathcal{N}$ supersymmetries using generalised geometry. We show that a large class correspond precisely to spaces admitting a generalised $G_{D,\mathcal{N}}$ structure with a weak integrability condition, which we call "weak generalised holonomy". This class contains all such backgrounds with odd $D$, but for even $D$ we must impose a technical assumption concerning the inner products of Killing spinors. It is known that all compact smooth solutions are included, though our analysis is purely…
We study generalised calibrations described by Exceptional Sasaki-Einstein structures on AdS backgrounds in type IIB and M-theory, placing the focus on the generalised Reeb vectors. The inequalities for the energy bound are derived by decomposing a $κ$-symmetry condition and equivalently, bispinors in calibration conditions from existing literature. We explain how the closure of the calibration forms is related to the integrability conditions of the Exceptional Sasaki-Einstein structure, in particular for AdS space-filling or point-like branes. Doing so, we show that the form parts of the twis…
We study exactly marginal deformations of 3d $\mathcal{N}=2$ CFTs dual to AdS$_4$ solutions in eleven-dimensional supergravity using generalised geometry. Focussing on Sasaki-Einstein backgrounds, we find that marginal deformations correspond to turning on a four-form flux on the internal space at first order. Viewing this as the deformation of a generalised structure, we derive a general expression for the four-form flux in terms of a holomorphic function. We discuss the explicit examples of S$^7$, Q$^{1,1,1}$ and M$^{1,1,1}$ and, using an obstruction analysis, find the conditions for the fir…
We analyse generic AdS flux backgrounds preserving eight supercharges in $D=4$ and $D=5$ dimensions using exceptional generalised geometry. We show that they are described by a pair of globally defined, generalised structures, identical to those that appear for flat flux backgrounds but with different integrability conditions. We give a number of explicit examples of such "exceptional Sasaki-Einstein" backgrounds in type IIB supergravity and M-theory. In particular, we give the complete analysis of the generic AdS$_5$ M-theory backgrounds. We also briefly discuss the structure of the moduli sp…
We study black holes in AdS-like spacetimes, with the horizon given by an arbitrary positive curvature Einstein metric. A criterion for classical instability of such black holes is found in the large and small black hole limits. Examples of large unstable black holes have a Böhm metric as the horizon. These, classically unstable, large black holes are locally thermodynamically stable. The gravitational instability has a dual description, for example by using the $AdS_7 \times S^4$ version of the AdS/CFT correspondence. The instability corresponds to a critical temperature of the dual thermal f…
We prove that, for M theory or type II, generic Minkowski flux backgrounds preserving $\mathcal{N}$ supersymmetries in dimensions $D\geq4$ correspond precisely to integrable generalised $G_{\mathcal{N}}$ structures, where $G_{\mathcal{N}}$ is the generalised structure group defined by the Killing spinors. In other words, they are the analogues of special holonomy manifolds in $E_{d(d)} \times\mathbb{R}^+$ generalised geometry. In establishing this result, we introduce the Kosmann-Dorfman bracket, a generalisation of Kosmann's Lie derivative of spinors. This allows us to write down the internal…
The graviton 1-loop partition function is calculated for Euclidean generalised massive gravity (GMG) using AdS heat kernel techniques. We find that the results fit perfectly into the AdS/(L)CFT picture. Conformal Chern-Simons gravity, a singular limit of GMG, leads to an additional contribution in the 1-loop determinant from the conformal ghost. We show that this contribution has a nice interpretation on the conformal field theory side in terms of a semi-classical null vector at level two descending from a primary with conformal weights (3/2,-1/2).
We formulate a kinematical extension of Double Field Theory on a $2d$-dimensional para-Hermitian manifold $(\mathcal{P},η,ω)$ where the $O(d,d)$ metric $η$ is supplemented by an almost symplectic two-form $ω$. Together $η$ and $ω$ define an almost bi-Lagrangian structure $K$ which provides a splitting of the tangent bundle $T\mathcal{P}=L\oplus\tilde{L}$ into two Lagrangian subspaces. In this paper a canonical connection and a corresponding generalised Lie derivative for the Leibniz algebroid on $T\mathcal{P}$ are constructed. We find integrability conditions under which the symmetry algebra c…
In this paper we define the analogue of Calabi--Yau geometry for generic $D=4$, $\mathcal{N}=2$ flux backgrounds in type II supergravity and M-theory. We show that solutions of the Killing spinor equations are in one-to-one correspondence with integrable, globally defined structures in $E_{7(7)}\times\mathbb{R}^+$ generalised geometry. Such "exceptional Calabi--Yau" geometries are determined by two generalised objects that parametrise hyper- and vector-multiplet degrees of freedom and generalise conventional complex, symplectic and hyper-Kahler geometries. The integrability conditions for both…
We discuss the notion of generalised U-duality as a solution generating technique in supergravity. We demonstrate a method to take solutions of type IIA supergravity on a 3-sphere, with NSNS flux, to new solutions of 11-dimensional supergravity, using exceptional geometry techniques. These new solutions are characterised by an underlying 3-algebra structure, and generalise features of solutions obtained by non-abelian T-duality, which involve an underlying ordinary Lie algebra. We focus on an example where we start with the pp-F1-NS5 solution in type IIA supergravity. We discuss the properties…
For supercosets with isometry group of the form $\hat{G} \times \hat{G}$, the eta-deformation can be generalised to a two-parameter integrable deformation with independent $q$-deformations of the two copies. We study its kappa-symmetry and write down a formula for the Ramond-Ramond fluxes. We then focus on $\hat{G}= PSU(1,1|2)$ and construct two supergravity backgrounds for the two-parameter integrable deformation of the $AdS_3 \times S^3 \times T^4$ superstring, as well as explore their limits. We also construct backgrounds that are solutions of the weaker generalised supergravity equations o…
The aim of this note is to present some new explicit examples of $O(d,d)$-generalised Leibniz parallelisable spaces arising as the normal bundles of adjoint orbits $\mathcal{O}$ of some semi-simple Lie group $G$. Using this construction, an explicit expression for a generalised frame is given in the case when the orbits are regular, but subtleties arise when they become degenerate. In the case of regular orbits, the resulting space is a globally flat fiber bundle over $\mathcal{O}$ which can be made compact, allowing for a generalised Scherk-Schwartz reduction. This means these spaces should a…
We review some recent developments in the construction of integrable $η$- and $λ$-deformations of the $AdS_5 \times S^5$ superstring. We highlight their link with Poisson-Lie T-duality.
We study Grothendieck's dessins d'enfants in the context of the $\mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetric gauge theories in $\left(3+1\right)$ dimensions with product $SU\left(2\right)$ gauge groups which have recently been considered by Gaiotto et al. We identify the precise context in which dessins arise in these theories: they are the so-called ribbon graphs of such theories at certain isolated points in the Coulomb branch of the moduli space. With this point in mind, we highlight connections to other work on trivalent dessins, gauge theories, and the modular group.
We define intrinsic torsion in generalised geometry and use it to introduce a new notion of generalised special holonomy. We then consider generic warped supersymmetric flux compactifications of M theory and Type II of the form $\mathbb{R}^{D-1,1}\times M$. Using the language of $E_{d(d)}\times\mathbb{R}^+$ generalised geometry, we show that, for $D\geq 4$, preserving minimal supersymmetry is equivalent to the manifold $M$ having generalised special holonomy and list the relevant holonomy groups. We conjecture that this result extends to backgrounds preserving any number of supersymmetries. As…
We classify AdS$_3$ solutions preserving $\mathcal{N}=(8,0)$ supersymmetry in ten and eleven dimensions and find the local form of each of them. These include the AdS$_3\times$S$^6$ solution of \cite{Dibitetto:2018ftj} and the embeddings of AdS$_3$ into AdS$_4\times$S$^7$, AdS$_5\times$S$^5$, AdS$_7/\mathbb{Z}_k\times$S$^4$ and its IIA reduction within AdS$_7$. More interestingly we find solutions preserving the superconformal algebras $\mathfrak{f}_4$, $\mathfrak{su}(1,1|4)$, $\mathfrak{osp}(4^*|4)$ on certain squashings of the 7-sphere. These solutions asymptote to AdS$_4\times$S$^7$ and are…
We study AdS duals of four-dimensional (4D) $\mathcal{N}=1$ superconformal field theories (SCFTs) on $\mathbb{Z}_k$ S-folds with T-branes that flow to 4D $\mathcal{N}=3$ theories. In a previous study, it was discussed how considering T-brane structure breaks the $\mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetry in 4D SCFTs on $\mathbb{Z}_k$ S-folds down to $\mathcal{N}=1$. In this study, we analyze this effect from the AdS perspective. We also discuss the constructions of 4D $\mathcal{N}=1$ SCFTs on S-folds with T-branes starting from global K3 hypersurfaces whose fibers involve complex multiplications. We choose…
The main topic of this thesis are flux compactifications. Firstly, we study dimensional reductions of type II and eleven-dimensional supergravities using exceptional generalised geometry. We start by presenting the needed mathematical tools, focusing on G-structures and their extension to generalised geometry. Then, we move our focus on compactifications. In particular, we mainly focus on type IIA, building the version of exceptional generalised geometry adapted to such supergravity and finding the right deformations of generalised Lie derivative to accomodate the Romans mass. We describe the …
We explore a classical instability of spacetimes of dimension $D>4$. Firstly, we consider static solutions: generalised black holes and brane world metrics. The dangerous mode is a tensor mode on an Einstein base manifold of dimension $D-2$. A criterion for instability is found for the generalised Schwarzschild, AdS-Schwarzschild and topological black hole spacetimes in terms of the Lichnerowicz spectrum on the base manifold. Secondly, we consider perturbations in time-dependent solutions: Generalised dS and AdS. Thirdly we show that, subject to the usual limitations of a linear analysis, any …
In Mulevičius-Runkel, arXiv:2002.00663, it was shown how a so-called orbifold datum $\mathbb{A}$ in a given modular fusion category (MFC) $\mathcal{C}$ produces a new MFC $\mathcal{C}_{\mathbb{A}}$. Examples of these associated MFCs include condensations, i.e. the categories $\mathcal{C}_B^\circ$ of local modules of a separable commutative algebra $B\in\mathcal{C}$. In this paper we prove that the relation $\mathcal{C} \sim \mathcal{C}_{\mathbb{A}}$ on MFCs is the same as Witt equivalence. This is achieved in part by providing one with an explicit construction for inverting condensations, i.e.…
We apply exceptional generalised geometry to the study of exactly marginal deformations of $\mathcal{N}=1$ SCFTs that are dual to generic AdS$_5$ flux backgrounds in type IIB or eleven-dimensional supergravity. In the gauge theory, marginal deformations are parametrised by the space of chiral primary operators of conformal dimension three, while exactly marginal deformations correspond to quotienting this space by the complexified global symmetry group. We show how the supergravity analysis gives a geometric interpretation of the gauge theory results. The marginal deformations arise from defor…
We study four-point functions of spinning operators in the flavor current multiplet in four dimensional $\mathcal{N}=2$ SCFTs, using superspace techniques. In particular we explicitly construct the differential operators relating the different components of the super-correlator. As a byproduct of our analysis, we report the computation of the four-point amplitudes of gluons in bosonic Yang-Mills theories on $\mathrm{AdS}_5$ and we give evidence of an AdS double copy relation between the gluon amplitude and its gravitational counterpart.
We study warped AdS$_3$ solutions in massive IIA supergravity preserving $\mathcal{N}=(3,0)$ and $\mathcal{N}=(1,0)$ supersymmetry. We consider solutions whose internal spaces decompose as an S$^3\times$S$^3$ fibration and a interval over which the rest of the solution is foliated. We present necessary and sufficient conditions for these solutions to exist, in terms of systems of ordinary differential equations and find several new analytic and numerical examples with internal spaces bounded between D-brane and O-plane behaviors.
In this paper, we are looking for $\mathcal{N}=1$, AdS$_4$ sourceless vacua in type IIB. While several examples exist in type IIA , there exists only one example of such vacua in type IIB . Thanks to the framework of generalized geometry we were able to devise a semi-algorithmical method to look for sourceless vacua. We present this method, which can easily be generalized to more complex cases, and give two new vacua in type IIB.
We discuss consistent truncations of eleven-dimensional supergravity on a six-dimensional manifold $M$, preserving minimal $\mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetry in five dimensions. These are based on $G_S \subseteq USp(6)$ structures for the generalised $E_{6(6)}$ tangent bundle on $M$, such that the intrinsic torsion is a constant $G_S$ singlet. We spell out the algorithm defining the full bosonic truncation ansatz and then apply this formalism to consistent truncations that contain warped AdS$_5 \times_{\rm w}M$ solutions arising from M5-branes wrapped on a Riemann surface. The generalised $U(1)$ st…
We study compactifications of an infinite family of four-dimensional $\mathcal{N}=1$ SCFTs on a Riemann surface in the presence of arbitrary background fluxes for global symmetries. The four-dimensional parent theories have holographic Sasaki-Einstein duals in type IIB string theory. We compute central charges and R-charges of baryonic operators in the resulting two-dimensional $\mathcal{N}=(0,2)$ theories in three distinct ways: from the field theory side utilizing c-extremization, its recently discovered geometric dual formulation, and holographically using new AdS$_3$ duals of two-dimension…
We investigate the superconformal index and the partition function for the chiral-like Chern-Simons-matter theory proposed for M2-branes probing the cones over $M^{3,2}$ and find perfect agreements with the gravity index and the gravitational free energy.
We propose a class of ${\rm AdS}_3/{\rm CFT}_2$ dualities with $\mathcal{N}=(2,2)$ supersymmetry. These dualities relate string theory on ${\rm AdS}_3 \times ({\rm S}^3\times \mathbb{T}^4)/{\rm G}$ to marginal deformations of the symmetric product orbifold of $\mathbb{T}^4/{\rm G}$, where ${\rm G}$ is a dihedral group. We demonstrate that the BPS spectrum calculated from supergravity and string theory agrees with that of the dual CFT. Moreover, the supergravity elliptic genus is shown to reproduce the CFT answer, thus providing further non-trivial evidence in favour of the proposal.
We consider the action of a non-abelian T-duality on backgrounds with an AdS${}_5$ factor in type IIA supergravity, finding a new type IIB background, as well as the non-abelian T-dual of a domain wall solution which has as limits the non-abelian T-dual of $AdS_5\times T^{1,1}$ and the non-abelian T-dual of $AdS_3\times \mathbb{R}^2\times S^2\times S^3$. We explore some consequences of non-abelian T-duality for the dual conformal field theories.
We discuss marginal deformations of warped AdS$_3\times$S$^2$ solutions preserving small $\mathcal{N}=(0,4)$ supersymmetry in massive IIA and eleven-dimensional supergravity and obtain a whole family of new solutions. We characterise these new backgrounds by studying some observables like the quantised charges, associated Hannany-Witten brane set-ups and the holographic central charge, the latter is shown to be invariant under the deformation. The study of the preservation of supersymmetry shows that the new backgrounds support an identity structure on the internal five-dimensional space, whic…
We summarize the results and the ideas in 1707.06152, 1707.06154, 1807.07768 where new warped $\mathrm{AdS}_3$ backgrounds are derived in massive IIA string theory by uplifting exact solutions in $\mathcal N=1$, $d=7$ and $\mathcal N=(1,1)$, $d=6$ gauged supergravities. These solutions are respectively asymptotically $\mathrm{AdS}_7$ and $\mathrm{AdS}_6$ and they are related to the D2-D4-NS5-D6-D8 brane intersection. We provide a particular supergravity solution in 10d describing this bound state and we discuss the relations between its near-horizon geometry and the uplifts from 6d and 7d. The…
We consider string theory on AdS$_3$ $\times$ (S$^3$ $\times$ S$^3$ $\times$ S$^1)/\mathbb Z_2$, a background supporting $\mathcal N=(3,3)$ spacetime supersymmetry. We propose that string theory on this background is dual to the symmetric product orbifold of $\mathcal S_0/\mathbb Z_2$ where $\mathcal S_0$ is a theory of four free fermions and one free boson. We show that the BPS spectra of the two sides of the duality match precisely. Furthermore, we compute the elliptic genus of the dual CFT and that of the supergravity limit of string theory and demonstrate that they match, hence providing n…
We construct a general class of (small) $\mathcal{N}=(0,4)$ superconformal solutions in M-theory of the form AdS$_3\times S^3/\mathbb{Z}_k\times \text{CY}_2$, foliated over an interval. These solutions describe M-strings in M5-brane intersections. The $M$-strings support $(0,4)$ quiver CFTs that are in correspondence with our backgrounds. We compute the central charge and show that it scales linearly with the total number of $M$-strings. We introduce momentum charge, thus allowing for a description in terms of M(atrix) theory. Upon reduction to Type IIA, we find a new class of solutions with f…
AdS black holes with planar event horizon topology play a central role in AdS/CFT holography, and particularly in its applications. Generalisations of the known planar black holes can be found by considering the Plebanski--Demianski metrics, a very general family of exactly specified solutions of the Einstein equations. These generalised planar black holes may be useful in applications. We give a concrete example of this in the context of the holographic description of the Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP). We argue that our generalised planar black holes allow us to construct a model of the internal s…
In this paper we study an $AdS_5$ solution constructed using non-Abelian T-duality, acting on the Klebanov-Witten background. We show that this is dual to a linear quiver with two tails of gauge groups of increasing rank. The field theory dynamics arises from a D4-NS5-NS5' brane set-up, generalizing the constructions discussed by Bah and Bobev. These realize $\mathcal{N}=1$ quiver gauge theories built out of $\mathcal{N}=1$ and $\mathcal{N}=2$ vector multiplets flowing to interacting fixed points in the infrared. We compute the central charge using $a$-maximization, and show its precise agreem…
We discuss the string corrections to one-loop amplitudes in AdS$_5\times$S$^5$, focussing on their expressions in Mellin space. We present the leading $(α')^3$ corrections to the family of correlators $\langle \mathcal{O}_2 \mathcal{O}_2 \mathcal{O}_p \mathcal{O}_p \rangle$ at one loop and begin the exploration of the form of correlators with multiple channels. From these correlators we extract some string corrections to one-loop anomalous dimensions of families of operators of low twist.
We find a new $\mathcal{N}=2$ $AdS_4$ solution in M-theory supported by purely magnetic flux via a sequence of abelian and non-abelian T-dualities. This provides the second known example in this class besides the uplift of the Pernici and Sezgin solution to 7d gauged supergravity constructed in the eighties. We compute the free energy of the solution, and show that it scales as $N^{3/2}$. It is intriguing that even though the natural holographic interpretation is in terms of M5-branes wrapped on a special Lagrangian 3-cycle, this solution does not exhibit the expected $N^3$ behavior.
A five dimensional Sasaki-Einstein (SE) manifold provides a AdS/CFT pair for four dimensional $\mathcal{N}=1$ SCFT, and those pairs are very useful in studying field theory and AdS/CFT correspondence. The space of known SE manifolds is increased significantly in the last decade, and we initiated the study of various field theory properties through the geometric property of these new SE manifolds. There is an associated three dimensional log-terminal singularity $X$ for each SE manifold $L_X$, and for quasi-regular case, there is an associated two dimensional log Del Pezzo surface $(S,Δ)$. The …
It is well known that Hopf-fibre T-duality and uplift takes the D1-D5 near-horizon into a class of $AdS_3 \times S^2$ geometries in 11D where the internal space is a Calabi-Yau three-fold. Moreover, supersymmetry dictates that Calabi-Yau is the only permissible $SU(3)$-structure manifold. Generalising this duality chain to non-Abelian isometries, a strong parallel exists, resulting in the first explicit example of a class of $AdS_3 \times S^2$ geometries with $SU(2)$-structure. Furthermore, the non-Abelian T-dual of $AdS_3 \times S^3 \times S^3 \times S^1$ results in a new supersymmetric $AdS_…
We consider $\mathcal{N}=(2,2)$ AdS$_3$/CFT$_2$ dualities proposed in the large central charge limit ($c\to\infty$) by Eberhardt. Here we propose the associated D1-D5 systems to be orbifolds of the standard $\mathcal{N}=(4,4)$ systems, thereby elevating the dualities to the finite-$c$ level on the boundary and to the quantum level in the bulk. In particular, we show that our brane systems yield low-energy sigma models whose subleading central charges match earlier predictions from bulk one-loop supergravity computations. In the case involving the Enriques surface, the finite-$c$ sigma model ha…

We study 4d membranes in type IIA flux compactifications of the form AdS$_4 \times X_6$, where $X_6$ admits a Calabi--Yau metric. These models feature scale separation and D6-branes/O6-planes on three-cycles of $X_6$. When the latter are treated as localised sources, explicit solutions to the 10d equations of motion and Bianchi identities are known in 4d $\mathcal{N}=1$ settings, valid at first order in an expansion parameter related to the AdS$_4$ cosmological constant. We extend such solutions to a family of perturbatively stable $\mathcal{N}=0$ vacua, and analyse their non-perturbative stab…
We consider the conformal $A_{n}$ Toda theory in AdS$_{2}$. Due to the bulk full Virasoro symmetry, this system provides an instance of a non-gravitational $\text{AdS}_{2}$/$\text{CFT}_{1}$ correspondence where the 1d boundary theory enjoys enhanced "$\frac{1}{2}$-Virasoro" symmetry. General boundary correlators are expected to be captured by the restriction of chiral correlators in a suitable $\mathcal WA_{n}$ Virasoro extension. At next-to-leading order in weak coupling expansion they have been conjectured to match the subleading terms in the large central charge expansion of the dual $\math…
I review recent results concerning the construction of generalised "latitude" Wilson loops in ABJM theory. In particular, the parametric Matrix Model determining these operators exactly is presented, as well as the exact prescription for computing different types of Bremsstrahlung functions from circular Wilson loops. In this context the physical meaning of framing in non-topological three-dimensional theories is clarified.
We present the general form of all timelike supersymmetric solutions to 3D U(1)^3 gauged supergravity, a known consistent truncation of string theory. We uncover a rich vacuum structure, including an infinite class of new timelike-warped AdS_3 (Goedel) and timelike-warped dS_3 critical points. We outline the construction of supersymmetric flows, driven by irrelevant scalar operators in the SCFT, which interpolate between critical points. For flows from AdS_3 to Goedel, the natural candidate for the central charge decreases along the flow. Flows to timelike-warped dS_3 exhibit topology change.
We study the near horizon 2d gravity theory which captures the near extremal thermodynamics of Kerr black holes where a linear combination of excess angular momentum $δJ $ and excess mass $δM$ is held fixed. These correspond to processes where both the mass and the angular momenta of extremal Kerr black holes are perturbed leaving them near extremal. For the Kerr $AdS_4$ we hold $δJ-\mathcal{L}\,δM=0 $ while for Myers-Perry(MP) type Kerr black hole in $AdS_5$ we hold $δJ_{φ_{1,2}}\hspace{-0.2cm}-\mathcal{L}_{φ_{1,2}}\,δM=0$. We show that in near horizon, the 2d Jackiw-Teitelboim theory is able…
We determine the asymptotic symmetry algebra (for fields of low spin) of the $M\times M$ matrix extended Vasiliev theories on AdS$_3$ and find that it agrees with the $\mathcal{W}$-algebra of their proposed coset duals. Previously it was noticed that for $M=2$ the supersymmetry increases from $\mathcal{N}=2$ to $\mathcal{N}=4$. We study more systematically this type of supersymmetry enhancements and find that, although the higher spin algebra has extended supersymmetry for all $M\geq 2$, the corresponding asymptotic symmetry algebra fails to be superconformal except for $M=2$, when it has larg…
We analyse the conditions for $\mathrm{AdS}_3 \times \mathcal{M}_7$ backgrounds with pure NS-NS flux to be supersymmetric. We find that a necessary condition is that $\mathcal{M}_7$ is a $\mathrm{U}(1)$-fibration over a balanced manifold. We subsequently classify all $\mathcal{N}=(2,2)$ solutions where $\mathcal{M}_7$ satisfies the stronger condition of being a $\mathrm{U}(1)$-fibration over a Kahler manifold. We compute the BPS spectrum of all the backgrounds in this classification. We assign a natural dual CFT to the backgrounds and confirm that the BPS spectra agree, thus providing evidence…
We construct new families of $\mathcal{N}=(0,4)$ $\mathrm{AdS}_3\times S^2 \times \tilde S^2 \times S^1$ backgrounds fibred over a 2d Riemann surface in Type IIB string theory. These solutions are obtained by extracting the near-horizon limit of D3-brane box configurations, consisting on D3-D5-NS5 branes ending on D5'-NS5' background branes. We relate our families of solutions to previous $\mathrm{AdS}_3\times S^2 \times \text{CY}_2$ and $\mathrm{AdS}_3\times S^3 \times S^2$ solutions to Type IIA recently constructed in the literature. We construct explicit 2d quiver CFTs associated to the D3-…
