Some theorems for a static prefect fluid sphere, i.e. a star, in the presence of a positive cosmological constant are proved. These theorems put bounds on the pressure profile and internal compactness of the star.
In the background of isotropic horizonless spheres, Hod recently provided an analytical proof of a bound on the compactness at the innermost light ring with the dominant energy and non-negative trace conditions. In this work, we extend the discussion of isotropic spheres to anisotropic spheres. With the same dominant energy and non-negative trace conditions, we prove that Hod's bound also holds in the case of anisotropic horizonless spheres.
We study the static stellar equilibrium configurations ofuncharged and charged spheres composed by a relativistic polytropic fluid, and compare with those of spheres composed by a non-relativistic polytropic fluid, the later case already being studied in a previous work [J. D. Arbañil, P. S. Lemos, V. T. Zanchin, Phys. Rev. D \textbf{88}, 084023 (2013)]. In the relativistic fluid case, a relativistic polytropic equation of state, $p=ωδ^γ$, is assumedd. Here, $δ=ρ-p/(γ-1)$, with $δ$ and $ρ$ being the rest mass density and the energy density, respectively, and $ω$ and $γ$ are respectively the po…
This paper aims to explore a class of static stellar equilibrium configuration of relativistic charged spheres made of a charged perfect fluid. Solving the Einstein-Maxwell field equations, we consider a particularized metric potential, Buchdahl ansatz [ Phys. Rev.116, 1027 (1959)] and then by using a simple transformation. The study is developed by matching the interior region with Riessner-Nordstr$\dot{\text{o}}$m metric as an exterior solution. The matter content the charged sphere satisfies all the energy conditions and hydrostatic equilibrium equation, i.e. the modified Tolman-Oppenheimer…
We analyze the interpretation of the spherically symmetric perfect fluid solutions that admit a flat synchronization orthogonal to the fluid flow as a thermodynamic perfect fluid in local thermal equilibrium. The ideal gas sonic condition is examined for this family of metrics, and the macroscopic conditions for physical reality are accurately tested for some specific solutions.
We discuss the physical features of two recent classes of analytical solutions of the Einstein equations sourced by an exotic perfect fluid with equation of state $ P=-ρ/5$. These geometries depend on up to four parameters and are static and spherically symmetric. They describe compact spaces with naked central singularities.
Static spherically symmetric solutions of the Einstein's field equations in isotropic coordinates representing perfect fluid matter distributions from Newtonian potential-density pairs are investigated. The approach is illustrated with three simple examples based on the potential-density pairs corresponding to a harmonic oscillator (homogeneous sphere), the well-known Plummer model and a massive spherical dark matter halo model with a logarithmic potential. Moreover, the geodesic circular motion of test particles around such structures is studied. The stability of the orbits against radial per…
Buchdahl-like transformations for perfect fluid spheres
在以前的两篇文章中[Phys. Rev.
We study exact solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell equations for the interior gravitational field of static spherically symmetric charged compact spheres. The spheres are composed of a perfect fluid with a charge distribution that creates a static radial electric field. The inertial mass density of the fluid has the form $ρ(r) = ρ_o + αr^2$ ($ρ_o$ and $α$ are constants) and the total charge $q(r)$ within a sphere of radius $r$ has the form $q = βr^3$ ($β$ is a constant). We evaluate the critical values of $M/R$ for these spheres as a function of $Q/R$ and compare these values with those given by…
In the framework of Einstein's the theory of general relativity we present a new interior solution with a perfect fluid, this is constructed from the proposal of a gravitational redshift factor. The geometry is regular and its density and pressure are monotonic decrescent functions, furthermore the sound speed is smaller than the light speed and monotonic crescent. The solution depends on a parameter $w \in (0, 2.0375509325]$ related to the compactness of the star $u = GM/c^2 R$, the maximum value $u = 0.2660858316$ which allow to describe compact stars like quark stars or neutron stars. Altho…
A foundational theorem due to Buchdahl states that, within General Relativity (GR), the maximum compactness $\mathcal{C}\equiv GM/(Rc^2)$ of a static, spherically symmetric, perfect fluid object of mass $M$ and radius $R$ is $\mathcal{C}=4/9$. As a corollary, there exists a compactness gap between perfect fluid stars and black holes (where $\mathcal{C}=1/2$). Here we generalize Buchdahl's result by introducing the most general equation of state for elastic matter with constant longitudinal wave speeds and apply it to compute the maximum compactness of regular, self-gravitating objects in GR. W…
We examine the effects of the Rastall parameter on the behaviour of spherically symmetric static distributions of perfect fluid matter. It was claimed by Visser [Physics Letters B, 782, 83, (2018)] that the Rastall proposition is completely equivalent to the Einstein theory. While many authors have raised contrary arguments, our intention is to analyze the properties of Rastall gravity through variation of the Rastall parameter in the context of perfect fluids spheres that may be used to model neutron stars or cold fluid planets. This analysis also serves to counter the claim that Rastall grav…
In this work, we present a class of relativistic and well-behaved solution to Einstein's field equations for anisotropic matter distribution. We perform our analysis by using the Buchdahl ansatz for the metric function grr. Three different classes of new exact solution are found for anisotropy factor(delta). We have analyzed our model with various physical aspects such as pressure (radial as well as transverse), energy density, anisotropy factor, mass, compactness parameter, adiabatic index(gamma) and surface redshift. A graphical analysis of energy conditions, TOV equation and causality condi…
This manuscript explores the compact geometries by employing Karmarkar condition with the charged anisotropic source of matter distribution. For this purpose, we consider an explicit model by indulging $\mathrm{g}_{rr}$ metric potential obeying the Karmarkar condition. Moreover, we ansatz the time metric co-efficient following the approach by Adler. The crucial aspect of present investigation is the implication of the Bardeen model as an outer spacetime. Implementation of Bardeen approach turns out to be very interesting as this corresponds to the magnetic mono-pole gravitational remnants emer…
We provide an exhaustive analysis of the complete set of solutions of the equations of stellar equilibrium under semiclassical effects. As classical matter we use a perfect fluid of constant density; as the semiclassical source we use the renormalized stress-energy tensor (RSET) of a minimally coupled massless scalar field in the Boulware vacuum (the only vacuum consistent with asymptotic flatness and staticity). For the RSET we use a regularized version of the Polyakov approximation. We present a complete catalogue of the semiclassical self-consistent solutions which incorporates regular as w…
We propose two models for constant density relativistic perfect-fluid spheres supported by thin shell configurations. These models are obtained from the Schwarzschild constant density star solution: the first via the collapse of the external layers of the fluid into a thin shell by performing a matching with the exterior Schwarzschild solution at a matching radius smaller than the star radius; and the second via the creation of a vacuum bubble inside the star by matching it with an interior Minkowski spacetime. Both models are shown to satisfy both the weak and the strong energy conditions (WE…
We study self-gravitating bound states of a complex vector field, known as Proca stars, with a new type of quartic-order self-interaction which does not exist in the case of either a complex scalar field or a real vector field. Depending on the sign of the coupling constant, this quartic self-interaction can yield a distinct feature of Proca stars from the previously investigated self-interaction of the vector field. We find that self-gravitating solutions can be so compact that the photon sphere could form. However, we also show that the self-interaction gives rise to a ghost instability for …
