The staid subject of exact static spherically symmetric perfect fluid solutions of Einstein's equations has been reinvigorated in the last decade. We now have several solution generating techniques which give rise to new exact solutions. Here the Einstein static Universe is transformed into a physically acceptable solution the properties of which are examined in detail. The emphasis here is on the importance of the integration constants that these generating techniques introduce.

Transforming the Einstein static Universe into physically acceptable static fluid spheres II: A two - fold infinity of exact solutions

Following a solution generating technique introduced recently by one of us, we transform the Einstein static Universe into a two - fold infinity class of physically acceptable exact perfect fluid solutions of Einstein's equations. Whereas the entire class of solutions can be considered as generalizations of the familiar Tolman IV solution, no member of the class can be written explicitly in isotropic coordinates. Further, except for a set of measure zero, no member of the class can be written explicitly in curvature coordinates either.

A simple method to generate exact physically acceptable anisotropic solutions in general relativity

By using the gravitational decoupling through the minimal geometric deformation approach (MGD-decoupling), we show a simple and powerful method to generate physically acceptable exact analytical solutions for anisotropic stellar distributions in general relativity. We find that some perfect fluid configurations could be incompatible with anisotropic effects produced by scalar fields.

A Criterion for Physically Acceptable Extra Dimensions with Boundaries

We present a criterion for deciding which compact extra dimensional spaces yield physically reliable Newton's law corrections. We study compact manifolds with boundary and without boundary. The boundary conditions which we use on the boundaries are Dirichlet or Neumann. We find that compact connected Riemannian manifolds with Dirichlet boundaries are completely excluded as extra dimensional spaces.

Generating Static Fluid Spheres by Conformal Transformations

We generate an explicit four-fold infinity of physically acceptable exact perfect fluid solutions of Einstein's equations by way of conformal transformations of physically unacceptable solutions (one way to view the use of isotropic coordinates). Special cases include the Schwarzschild interior solution and the Einstein static universe. The process we consider involves solving two equations of the Riccati type coupled by a single generating function rather than a specification of one of the two metric functions.

New Models of General Relativistic Static Thick Disks

New families of exact general relativistic thick disks are constructed using the ``displace, cut, fill and reflect'' method. A class of functions used to ``fill'' the disks is derived imposing conditions on the first and second derivatives to generate physically acceptable disks. A New Anisotropic Compact Star Model having Matese \& Whitman Mass Function

A new singularity free model of anisotroipic compact star is proposed. The Einstein field equations are solved in closed form by utilizing Matese \& Whitman mass function. In the present paper we are willing to model anisotropic star by choosing a new grr metric potential.
