Feynman's i-epsilon prescription, almost real spacetimes, and acceptable complex spacetimes

Feynman's i-epsilon prescription for quantum field theoretic propagators has a quite natural reinterpretation in terms of a slight complex deformation of the Minkowski spacetime metric. Though originally a strictly flat-space result, once reinterpreted in this way, these ideas can be naturally extended first to semi-classical curved-spacetime QFT on a fixed background geometry and then, (with more work), to fluctuating spacetime geometries. Hermiticity Breaking and Restoration in the $(gϕ^4 + hϕ^6)_{1+1}$ Field Theoretic Model

We introduce hermiticity as a new symmetry and show that when starting with a model which is Hermitian in the classical level, quantum corrections can break hermiticity while the theory stay physically acceptable. Searching Exact Solutions for Compact Stars in Braneworld: a conjecture

In the context of the braneworld, a method to find consistent solutions to Einstein's field equations in the interior of a spherically symmetric, static and non uniform stellar distribution with Weyl stresses is developed. This method, based in the fact that any braneworld stellar solution must have the general relativity solution as a limit, produces a constraint which reduces the degrees of freedom on the brane. Scalar Quantum Field Theory with Cubic Interaction

In this paper it is shown that an i phi^3 field theory is a physically acceptable field theory model (the spectrum is positive and the theory is unitary). The demonstration rests on the perturbative construction of a linear operator C, which is needed to define the Hilbert space inner product. The C operator is a new, time-independent observable in PT-symmetric quantum field theory.

Near-BPS baby Skyrmions with Gaussian tails

We consider the baby Skyrme model in a physically motivated limit of reaching the restricted or BPS baby Skyrme model, which is a model that enjoys area-preserving diffeomorphism invariance. The perturbation consists of the kinetic Dirichlet term with a small coefficient $ε$ as well as the standard pion mass term, with coefficient $εm_1^2$. The pions remain lighter than the soliton for any $ε$ and therefore the model is physically acceptable, even in the $ε\to 0$ limit.
