We introduce semi-invariant Riemannian submersions from almost Hermitian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds. We give examples, investigate the geometry of foliations which are arisen from the definition of a Riemannian submersion and find necessary-sufficient conditions for total manifold to be locally product Riemannian manifold. We also find necessary and sufficient conditions for a semi-invariant submersion to be totally geodesic. Moreover, we obtain a classification for semi-invariant submersions with totally umbilical fibers and show that such submersions put some restrictions on total manifolds.
We introduce slant submersions from almost Hermitian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds. We give examples, investigate the geometry of foliations which are arisen from the definition of a Riemannian submersion and check the harmonicity of such submersions. We also find necessary and sufficient conditions for a slant submersion to be totally geodesic. Moreover, we obtain a decomposition theorem for the total manifold of such submersions.
We introduce the notions of h-conformal slant submersions and almost h-conformal slant submersions from almost quaternionic Hermitian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds as a generalization of Riemannian submersions, horizontally conformal submersions, slant submersions, h-slant submersions, almost h-slant submersion and conformal slant submersions. We investigate several properties of these including the integrability of distributions, the geometry of foliations and the conditions for such maps to be totally geodesic. Further we give some examples of such maps.
Akyol, M. A and Şahin, B. [Conformal semi-invariant submersions, Commun. Contemp. As a generalization of anti-invariant Riemannian submersions and Lagrangian Riemannian submersions, we introduce the notions of h-anti-invariant submersions and h-Lagrangian submersions from almost quaternionic Hermitian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds. We obtain characterizations and investigate some properties: the integrability of distributions, the geometry of foliations, and the harmonicity of such maps. We also find a condition for such maps to be totally geodesic and give some examples of such maps. Finally, we obtain some types of decomposition theorems.
This article presents the study of almost Hermitian submersion from an almost Yamabe soliton onto an almost Hermitian manifold. A non-trivial example is also mentioned in order to guarantee the existence of such solitons on the total space of almost Hermitian submersions. We mainly focus on Kaehler submersions from Kaehler manifolds which are special case of almost Hermitian submersions. Under certain conditions, we find out that the fibres and the base manifold of such submersions are almost Yamabe soliton. We give the characterizations for an almost Yamabe soliton of a Kaehler submersion to …
We introduce conformal anti-invariant submersions from almost Hermitian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds. We give examples, investigate the geometry of foliations which are arisen from the definition of a conformal submersion and find necessary and sufficient conditions for a conformal anti-invariant submersion to be totally geodesic. We also check the harmonicity of such submersions and show that the total space has certain product structures. Moreover, we obtain curvature relations between the base space and the total space, and find geometric implications of these relations.
We give a general Lie-theoretic construction for anti-invariant almost Hermitian Riemannian submersions, anti-invariant quaternion Riemannian submersions, anti-invariant para-Hermitian Riemannian submersions, anti-invariant para-quaternion Riemannian submersions, and anti-invariant octonian Riemannian submersions. This yields many compact Einstein examples.
We study harmonic almost contact structures in the context of contact metric manifolds, and an analysis is carried out when such a manifold fibres over an almost Hermitian manifold, as exemplified by the Boothby-Wang fibration. Two types of almost contact metric warped products are also studied, relating their harmonicity to that of the almost Hermitian structure on the base or fibre.
We investigate new Clairaut conditions for anti-invariant submersions from normal almost contact metric manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds. We prove that there is no Clairaut anti-invariant submersion admitting vertical Reeb vector field when the total manifold is Sasakian. Several illustrative examples are also included.
Let F be a Riemannian submersion from an almost Hermitian manifold (M; gM; J) onto a Riemannian manifold (N; gN). We introduce the notion of the semi-slant submersion. And then we obtain some properties about it. In particular, we give some examples for it.
In this paper we study 3-submersions from a QR-hypersurface of a quaternionic Kaehler manifold onto an almost quaternionic hermitian manifold. We also prove the non-existence of quaternionic submersions between quaternionic Kaehler manifolds which are not locally hyper-Kaehler.
B. Sahin [9] introduced the notion of anti-invariant Riemannian submersions from almost Hermitian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds. In the present paper we extend the notion of anti-invariant and Lagrangian Riemannian submersions (a special anti-invariant Riemannian submersion) to the case of locally conformal Kaehler manifolds. We discuss the geometry of foliation and obtain some decomposition theorems for the total manifold of such submersions.
Let F be a Riemannian submersion from an almost Hermitian manifold (M; gM; J) onto a Riemannian manifold (N; gN). We introduce the notion of the v-semi-slant submersion. And then we obtain some properties on it. In particular, we give some examples for it.
In this paper we obtain the structure equation of a contact-complex Riemannian submersion and give some applications of this equation in the study of almost cosymplectic manifolds with Kaehler fibres.
As a generalization of semi-invariant submersions, we introduce conformal semi-invariant submersions from almost Hermitian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds. We give examples, investigate the geometry of foliations which are arisen from the definition of a conformal submersion and show that there are certain product structures on the total space of a conformal semi-invariant submersion. Moreover, we also check the harmonicity of such submersions and find necessary and sufficient conditions of a conformal semi-invariant submersion to be totally geodesic.
In this paper we introduce paraquaternionic CR-submanifolds of almost paraquaternionic hermitian manifolds and state some basic results on their differential geometry. We also study a class of semi-Riemannian submersions from paraquaternionic CR-submanifolds of paraquaternionic Kaehler manifolds.
In this paper we deal with some properties of a class of semi-Riemannian submersions between manifolds endowed with paraquaternionic structures, proving a result of non-existence of paraquaternionic submersions between paraquaternionic Kähler non locally hyper paraKähler manifolds. Then we examine, as an example, the canonical projection of the tangent bundle, endowed with the Sasaki metric, of an almost paraquaternionic Hermitian manifold.
The main purpose of the present work is to investigate statistical manifolds endowed with almost product structures. We prove that the statistical structure of a para-Kähler-like statistical manifold of constant curvature in the Kurose's sense is a Hessian structure. We also derive the main properties of statistical submersions which are compatible with almost product structures. The results are illustrated by several nontrivial examples.
Maps between Riemannian manifolds which are submersions on a dense subset, are studied by means of the eigenvalues of the pull-back of the target metrics, the first fundamental form. Expressions for the derivatives of these eigenvalues yield characterizations of harmonicity, totally geodesic maps and biconformal changes of metric preserving harmonicity. A Schwarz lemma for pseudo harmonic morphisms is proved, using the dilatation of the eigenvalues and, in dimension five, a Bochner technique method, involving the Laplacian of the difference of the eigenvalues, gives conditions forcing pseudo h…
As a generalization of holomorphic submersions, anti-invariant submersions and slant submersions, we introduce slant Riemannian maps from almost Hermitian manifolds to Riemannian manifolds. We give examples, obtain the existence conditions of slant Riemannian maps and investigate harmonicity of such maps. We also obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for slant Riemannian maps to be totally geodesic and give a decomposition theorem for the total manifold.
The present paper deals with the characterization of a new submersion named semi-invariant conformal $ζ^{\perp }$-Riemannian submersion from almost contact metric manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds which is the generalization of some known submersions on Riemannian manifolds. We give important and adequate conditions for such submersions to be totally geodesic and harmonic. Also, few examples are examined for such submersions endowed with horizontal Reeb vector field.
In this paper, we study Riemannian submersions whose total manifolds admitting a Ricci soliton. Here, we characterize any fiber of such a submersion is Ricci soliton or almost Ricci soliton. Indeed, we obtain necessary conditions for which the target manifold of Riemannian submersion is a Ricci soliton. Moreover, we study the harmonicity of Riemannian submersion from Ricci soliton and give a characterization for such a submersion to be harmonic.
In this paper we study a semi-Riemannian submersion from Lorentzian (para)almost contact manifolds and find necessary and sufficient conditions for the characteristic vector field to be vertical or horizontal. We also obtain decomposition theorems for an anti-invariant semi-Riemannian submersion from Lorentzian (para)Sasakian manifolds onto a Lorentzian manifold.
We introduce holomorphic Riemannian maps between almost Hermitian manifolds as a generalization of holomorphic submanifolds and holomorphic submersions, give examples and obtain a geometric characterization of harmonic holomorphic Riemannian maps from almost Hermitian manifolds to Kaehler manifolds.
Akyol M.A. [Conformal anti-invariant submersions from cosymplectic manifolds, Hacettepe Journal of Mathematics and Statistic, 46(2), (2017), 177-192.] defined and studied conformal anti-invariant submersions from cosymplectic manifolds. The aim of the present paper is to define and study the notion of conformal slant submersions (it means the Reeb vector field $ξ$ is a vertical vector field) from almost contact metric manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds as a generalization of Riemannian submersions, horizontally conformal submersions, slant submersions and conformal anti-invariant submersions.…
As a generalization of anti-invariant $ξ^\perp-$Riemannian submersions, we introduce conformal anti-invariant $ξ^\perp-$submersions from almost contact metric manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds. We investigate the geometry of foliations which are arisen from the definition of a conformal submersion and find necessary and sufficient conditions for a conformal anti-invariant $ξ^\perp-$submersion to be totally geodesic and harmonic, respectively. Moreover, we show that there are certain product structures on the total space of a conformal anti-invariant $ξ^\perp-$submersion.
As a generalization of slant Riemannian maps (Sahin), semi-slant Riemannian maps (Park), almost h-slant submersions (Park 2012), and almost h-semi-slant submersions (Park 2011), we introduce the notion of almost h-semi-slant Riemannian maps from almost quaternionic Hermitian manifolds to Riemannian manifolds. We investigate the integrability of distributions, the harmonicity of such maps, the geometry of fibers, etc. We also deal with the condition for such maps to be totally geodesic and study some decomposition theorems. Moreover, we give some examples.
As a generalization of slant submersions (Sahin, 2011), semi-slant submersions (Park and Prasad), and slant Riemannian maps (Sahin), we define the notion of semi-slant Riemannian maps from almost Hermitian manifolds to Riemannian manifolds. We study the integrability of distributions, the geometry of fibers, the harmonicity of such maps, etc. We also find a condition for such maps to be totally geodesic and investigate some decomposition theorems. We consider invariant Riemannian metrics on compact homogeneous spaces G/H where an intermediate subgroup K between G and H exists, so that the homogeneous space G/H is the total space of a Riemannian submersion. We study the question as to whether enlarging the fibers of the submersion by a constant scaling factor retains the nonnegative curvature in the case that the deformation starts at a normal homogeneous metric. We classify triples of groups (H,K,G) where nonnegative curvature is maintained for small deformations, using a criterion proved by Schwachhöfer and Tapp. We obtain a complete c…
As a generalization of anti-invariant Riemannian submersions, we introduce anti-invariant Riemannian maps from almost Hermitian manifolds to Riemannian manifolds. We give examples and investigate the geometry of foliations which are arisen from the definition of an anti-Riemannian map. Then we give a decomposition theorem for the source manifold of such maps. We also find necessary and sufficient conditions for anti-invariant Riemannian maps to be totally geodesic and show that every pluriharmonic Lagrangian Riemannian map, which is a special anti-invariant Riemannian map, from a Kähler manifo…
The covariant derivative of the Kähler form of an almost pseudo-Hermitian or of an almost para-Hermitian manifold satisfies certain algebraic relations. We show, conversely, that any 3-tensor which satisfies these algebraic relations can be realized geometrically.
In this paper, by using the Bochner technique on almost Hermitian manifolds, we obtain a complex Hessian comparison for almost Hermitian manifolds generalizing the Laplacian comparison for almost Hermitian manifolds by Tossati, and reprove a diameter estimate for almost Hermitian manifolds by Gray. Moreover, we obtain a sharp eigenvalue estimate on quasi Kaehler manifolds and a sharp Hessian comparison on nearly Kaehler manifolds.
We introduce a new curvature flow which matches with the Ricci flow on metrics and preserves the almost Hermitian condition. This enables us to use Ricci flow to study almost Hermitian manifolds.
Almost para-Hermitian manifold it is manifold equipped with almost para-complex structure and compatible pseudo-metric of neutral signature. It is considered a class of immersions of almost para-Hermitian manifolds into almost para-Hermitian manifolds. Such immersions are called slant submanifolds. The concept is an analogue of the idea of slant submanifold in almost Hermitian geometry. There are classified pointwise slant surfaces of four dimensional almost para-Hermitian manifold.
In this paper, by introducing a notion of local quasi holomorphic frame, we obtain a curvature formula for almost Hermitian manifolds which is similar to that of Hermitian manifolds. Moreover, as applications of the curvature formula, we extend a result of H.S. Wu and a result of F. Zheng to almost Hermitian manifolds.
We prove that any $4$-dimensional almost-Kähler Lie algebra of constant Hermitian holomorphic sectional curvature with respect to the canonical Hermitian connection is Kähler.
We give a condition for an almost constant-type manifold to be a constant-type manifold, and holomorphic and $R$-invariant submanifolds of almost Hermitian manifolds are studied. Generalizations of some results in [5] are given.
Gray & Hervella gave a classification of almost Hermitian structures (g,I) into 16 classes. We systematically study the interaction between these classes when one has an almost hyper-Hermitian structure (g,I,J,K). In general dimension we find at most 167 different almost hyper-Hermitian structures. In particular, we obtain a number of relations that give hyperKäher or locally conformal hyperKähler structures, thus generalising a result of Hitchin. We also study the types of almost quaternion-Hermitian geometries that arise and tabulate the results.
The Schur's theorem of antiholomorphic type is proved for arbitrary almost Hermitian manifolds, namely: If a connected almost Hermitian manifold of dimension greater or equal to 6 is of pointwise constant antiholomorphic sectional curvature, then this curvature is a global constant.
We consider several differential operators on compact almost-complex, almost-Hermitian and almost-Kähler manifolds. We discuss Hodge Theory for these operators and a possible cohomological interpretation. We compare the associated spaces of harmonic forms and cohomologies with the classical de Rham, Dolbeault, Bott-Chern and Aeppli cohomologies.
The fundamental 2-form of an invariant almost Hermitian structure on a 6-dimensional Lie group is described in terms of an action by SO(4)xU(1) on complex projective 3-space. This leads to a combinatorial description of the classes of almost Hermitian structures on the Iwasawa and other nilmanifolds.
We prove the rigidity and vanishing of several indices of "geometrically natural" twisted Dirac operators on almost even-Clifford Hermitian manifolds admitting circle actions by automorphisms.
We study the local commutation relation between the Lefschetz operator and the exterior differential on an almost complex manifold with a compatible metric. The identity that we obtain generalizes the backbone of the local Kähler identities to the setting of almost Hermitian manifolds, allowing for new global results for such manifolds.
The Almost Hermitian Curvature flow was introduced by Streets and Tian in order to study almost hermitian structures, with a particular interest in symplectic structures. This flow is given by a diffusion-reaction equation. Hence it is natural to ask the following: which almost hermitian structures are dynamically stable? An almost hermitian structure $(ω,J)$ is dynamically stable if it is a fixed point of the flow and there exists a neighborhood $\mathcal{N}$ of $(ω,J)$ such that for any almost hermitian structure $(ω(0),J(0)) \in \mathcal{N}$ the solution of the Almost Hermitian Curvature fl…
In this paper we study invariant almost Hermitian geometry on generalized flag manifolds. We will focus on providing examples of Kähler like scalar curvature metric, that is, almost Hermitian structures $(g,J)$ satisfying $s=2s_{\rm C}$, where $s$ is Riemannian scalar curvature and $s_{\rm C}$ is the Chern scalar curvature.
The object of investigations are almost hypercomplex structures with Hermitian-Norden metrics on 4-dimensional Lie groups considered as smooth manifolds. There are studied both the basic classes of a classification of 4-dimensional indecomposable real Lie algebras depending on two parameters. Some geometric characteristics of the respective almost hypercomplex manifolds with Hermitian-Norden metrics are obtained.
