We discuss the issue of how to include magnetic charges in the AdS(4) superalgebra osp(4|2). It is shown that the usual way of introducing a pseudoscalar central charge on the right hand side of the basic anticommutator does not work, because this breaks SO(2,3) covariance. We propose a way out by promoting the magnetic charge to a vector charge, which amounts to enlarge osp(4|2) to the superconformal algebra su(2,2|1). The conditions for 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 BPS states are then analyzed. These states form the boundary of the convex cone associated with the Jordan algebra of 4x4 complex hermitian matrices. An Inonu-Wigner contraction of the constructed superalgebra yields a known extension of the Poincare' superalgebra containing electric and magnetic 0-brane charges as well as string- and space-filling 3-brane charges. As an example, we show how some supersymmetric AdS(4) black holes fit into the classification scheme of BPS states.
We prove that the deformed oscillator superalgebra $W_q(n)$ (which in the Fock representation is generated essentially by $n$ pairs of $q$-bosons) is a factor algebra of the quantized universal enveloping algebra $U_q[osp(1/2n)]$. We write down a $q$-analog of the Cartan-Weyl basis for the deformed $osp(1/2n)$ and give also an oscillator realization of all Cartan-Weyl generators.
We investigate a two parameter quantum deformation of the universal enveloping orthosymplectic superalgebra U(osp(2/2)) by extending the Faddeev-Reshetikhin-Takhtajan formalism to the supersymetric case. It is shown that $U_{p,q}(osp(2/2))$ possesses a non-commutative, non-cocommutative Hopf algebra structure. All the results are expressed in the standard form using quantum Chevalley basis.
We study here the generalized Weimar-Woods contractions of the superalgebra $osp(1|32) \oplus osp(1|32)$ in order to obtain a suitable algebra that could describe the gauge group of $D=11$ supergravity. The contracted superalgebras are assumed to be given in terms of fermionic extensions of the M-theory superalgebra. We show that the only superalgebra of this type obtained by contraction is the only one for which the three-form of $D=11$ supergravity cannot be trivialized. Therefore, $D=11$ supergravity cannot be connected in this way with a contraction of $osp(1|32) \oplus osp(1|32)$.
Algebra of the constraints of twistor-like p-branes restoring 3/4 fraction of the spontaneously broken D=4 N=1 supersymmetry is studied using the conversion method. Classical and quantum realizations of the BRST charge, unified superalgebra of the global generalized superconformal OSp(1|8) and Virasoro and Weyl symmetries are constructed. It is shown that the quantum Hermitian BRST charge is nilpotent and the quantized OSp(1|8) superalgebra is closed.
Based on the particular orderings introduced for the positive roots of finite dimensional basic Lie superalgebras, we construct the explicit differential operator representations of the $osp(2r|2n)$ and $osp(2r+1|2n)$ superalgebras and the explicit free field realizations of the corresponding current superalgebras $osp(2r|2n)_k$ and $osp(2r+1|2n)_k$ at an arbitrary level $k$. The free field representations of the corresponding energy-momentum tensors and screening currents of the first kind are also presented.
We define a class of orthosymplectic superalgebras $osp(m;j|2n;ω)$ which may be obtained from $osp(m|2n)$ by contractions and analytic continuations in a similar way as the orthogonal and the symplectic Cayley-Klein algebras are obtained from the corresponding classical ones. Contractions of $osp(1|2)$ and $osp(3|2)$ are regarded as an examples.
The Lie algebra $so(2n+1)$ and the Lie superalgebra $osp(1/2n)$ are quantized in terms of $3n$ generators, called preoscillator generators. Apart from $n$ "Cartan" elements the preoscillator generators are deformed para-Fermi operators in the case of $so(2n+1)$ and deformed para-Bose operators in the case of $osp(1/2n)$. The corresponding deformed universal enveloping algebras $U_q[so(2n+1)]$ and $U_q[osp(1/2n)]$ are the same as those defined in terms of Chevalley operators. The name "preoscillator" is to indicate that in a certain representation these operators reduce to the known deformed Fe…
We establish that for the type I Lie superalgebras $sl(m/n)$ and $osp(2/2n)$, each Kac module admits a 1 parameter family of indecomposable double extensions. The result follows from the explicit evaluation of the $H^1$ Lie superalgebra cohomology valued in the tensor product of the module and its dual.
We define a class of orthosymplectic $osp(m;j|2n;ω)$ and unitary $sl(m;j|n;ε)$ superalgebras which may be obtained from $osp(m|2n)$ and $sl(m|n)$ by contractions and analytic continuations in a similar way as the special linear, orthogonal and the symplectic Cayley-Klein algebras are obtained from the corresponding classical ones. Casimir operators of Cayley-Klein superalgebras are obtained from the corresponding operators of the basic superalgebras. Contractions of $sl(2|1)$ and $osp(3|2)$ are regarded as an examples.
A description of the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra $osp(2n+1/2m)$ and also of its $q-$deformed analogue $U_q[osp(2n+1/2m)]$ in terms of a new set of generators, called Green generators, is given. These generators are very different form the well known Chevalley generators. Mathematically the Green generators are the root vectors, corresponding to the positive and the negative orthogonal roots. Physically, they consist of $m$ pairs of (deformed) para-Bose operators and $n$ pairs of (deformed) para-Fermi operators.
We study the topologically twisted osp(2|2)+osp(2|2) conformal superalgebra. The algebra includes the Lagrangians which are intrinsic to the topological field theory and composed of fermionic generators. Studying the Lagrangians through a gauge system of osp(2|2)+osp(2|2), geometrical features inherent to the algebra are revealed: a moduli space associated with the algebra is derived and the crucial roles which the fermionic generators play in the moduli space are clarified It is argued that there exists a specific relation between the topological twist and the moduli problem through a geometr…
New solutions of the quantum Yang-Baxter equation, depending in general on three arbitrary parameters, are written down. They are based on the root of unity representations of the quantum orthosymplectic superalgebra \\U, which were found recently. Representations of the braid group $B_N$ are defined within any $N^{th}$ tensorial power of root of 1 \\U modules.
We show how OSp(1|32) gives a unifying framework to describe d=10 type II string theories, d=11 M-theory and d=12 F-theory. The theories are related by different identifications of their symmetry operators as generators of OSp(1|32). T- and S-dualities are recognized as redefinitions of generators. Some (s,t) signatures of spacetime allow reality conditions on the generators. All those that allow a real structure are related again by redefinitions within the algebra, due to the fact that the algebra OSp(1|32) has only one real realization. The redefinitions include space/space, time/time and s…
Super coherent states are useful in the explicit construction of representations of superalgebras and quantum superalgebras. In this contribution, we describe how they are used to construct (quantum) boson-fermion realizations and representations of (quantum) superalgebras. We work through a few examples: $osp(1|2)$ and its quantum version $U_t[osp(1|2)]$, $osp(2|2)$ in the non-standard and standard bases and $gl(2|2)$ in the non-standard basis. We obtain free boson-fermion realizations of these superalgebras. Applying the boson-fermion realizations, we explicitly construct their finite-dimens…
We introduce and obtain multimode paraboson coherent states. In appropriate subspaces these coherent states provide a decomposition of unity where the measure, when expressed using the cat-type states, is positive definite. Bicoherent states where the mutually commuting lowering operators are diagonalized are also obtained. Matrix elements in the coherent state basis are calculated.
We show that a Hamiltonian reduction of affine Lie superalgebras having bosonic simple roots (such as $OSp(1|4)$) ``does'' produce supersymmetric Toda models, with superconformal symmetry being nonlinearly realised for those fields of the Toda system which are related to the bosonic simple roots of the superalgebra. A fermionic $b-c$ system of conformal spin $(3/2,-1/2)$ is a natural ingredient of such models.
A 2-toroidal Lie superalgebra is constructed using bosonic fields and a ghost field. The superalgebra contains $osp(1|2n)^{(1)}$ as a distinguished subalgebra and behaves similarly to the toroidal Lie superalgebra of type $B(0, n)$. Furthermore this algebra is a central extension of the algebra $osp(1|2n)\otimes \mathbb C[s, s^{-1}, t,t^{-1}]$.
We present an action for $N=1$ supergravity in $10+2$ dimensions, containing the gauge fields of the $OSp(1|64)$ superalgebra, i.e. one-forms $B^{(n)}$ with $n$=1,2,5,6,9,10 antisymmetric D=12 Lorentz indices and a Majorana gravitino $ψ$. The vielbein and spin connection correspond to $B^{(1)}$ and $B^{(2)}$ respectively. The action is not gauge invariant under the full $OSp(1|64)$ superalgebra, but only under a subalgebra ${\tilde F}$ (containing the $F$ algebra $OSp(1|32)$), whose gauge fields are $B^{(2)}$, $B^{(6)}$, $B^{(10)}$ and the Weyl projected Majorana gravitino ${1 \over 2} (1+Γ_{1…
We describe the twisted affine superalgebra $sl(2|2)^{(2)}$ and its quantized version $U_q[sl(2|2)^{(2)}]$. We investigate the tensor product representation of the 4-dimensional grade star representation for the fixed point subsuperalgebra $U_q[osp(2|2)]$. We work out the tensor product decomposition explicitly and find the decomposition is not completely reducible. Associated with this 4-dimensional grade star representation we derive two $U_q[osp(2|2)]$ invariant R-matrices: one of them corresponds to $U_q[sl(2|2)^{(2)}]$ and the other to $U_q[osp(2|2)^{(1)}]$. Using the R-matrix for $U_q[sl…
We use the expansion of superalgebras procedure (summarized in the text) to derive Chern-Simons (CS) actions for the (p,q)-Poincare supergravities in three-dimensional spacetime. After deriving the action for the (p,0)-Poincare supergravity as a CS theory for the expansion osp(p|2;R)(2,1) of osp(p|2;R), we find the general (p,q)-Poincare superalgebras and their associated D=3 supergravity actions as CS gauge theories from an expansion of the simple osp(p+q|2,R) superalgebras, namely osp(p+q|2,R)(2,1,2).
The minimal irreducible representations of $U_q[gl(m|n)]$, i.e. those irreducible representations that are also irreducible under $U_q[osp(m|n)]$ are investigated and shown to be affinizable to give irreducible representations of the twisted quantum affine superalgebra $U_q[gl(m|n)^{(2)}]$. The $U_q[osp(m|n)]$ invariant R-matrices corresponding to the tensor product of any two minimal representations are constructed, thus extending our twisted tensor product graph method to the supersymmetric case. These give new solutions to the spectral-dependent graded Yang-Baxter equation arising from $U_q…
Representations of the superalgebra $osp(2|2)$ and current superalgebra $osp(2|2)^{(1)}_k$ in the standard basis are investigated. All finite-dimensional typical and atypical representations of $osp(2|2)$ are constructed by the vector coherent state method. Primary fields of the non-unitary conformal field theory associated with $osp(2|2)^{(1)}_k$ in the standard basis are constructed for arbitrary level $k$.
We study Yang-Baxter equations with orthosymplectic supersymmetry. We extend a new approach of the construction of the spinor and metaplectic $\hat{\cal R}$-operators with orthogonal and symplectic symmetries to the supersymmetric case of orthosymplectic symmetry. In this approach the orthosymplectic $\hat{\cal R}$-operator is given by the ratio of two operator valued Euler Gamma-functions. We illustrate this approach by calculating such $\hat{\cal R}$ operators in explicit form for special cases of the $osp(n|2m)$ algebra, in particular for a few low-rank cases. We also propose a novel, simpl…
It is known that the defining relations of the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra osp(1|2n) are equivalent to the defining (triple) relations of n pairs of paraboson operators $b^\pm_i$. In particular, with the usual star conditions, this implies that the ``parabosons of order p'' correspond to a unitary irreducible (infinite-dimensional) lowest weight representation V(p) of osp(1|2n). Apart from the simple cases p=1 or n=1, these representations had never been constructed due to computational difficulties, despite their importance. In the present paper we give an explicit and elegant constructi…
We establish a correspondence between certain Lie superalgebras with 16 fermionic generators, and half-BPS solutions to supergravities with 32 supersymmetries. Three cases are discussed. For Type IIB supergravity, we relate semi-simple Lie superalgebras H with 16 fermionic generators which are subalgebras of PSU(2,2|4), to families of half-BPS solutions which are invariant under H, and locally asymptotic to AdS_5 x S^5. Similarly, for M-theory, we relate semi-simple Lie superalgebras H with 16 fermionic generators which are subalgebras of OSp(8^*|4) or OSp(8|4,R) to families of half-BPS soluti…

The BPS method is used to find BPS solutions of the worldvolume theory of a D5-brane in the near horizon geometry of a D3-brane. The BPS bound is interpreted in terms of the `maximally extended' D5 worldvolume supersymmetry algebra in the corresponding curved background, which is OSp(1|16). This algebra is an extension of the worldvolume superalgebra OSp(4^*|4). The analysis is generalized to the non-near horizon case.
An orthogonal basis of weight vectors for a class of infinite-dimensional representations of the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra osp(2m+1|2n) is introduced. These representations are particular lowest weight representations V(p), with a lowest weight of the form [-p/2,...,-p/2|p/2,...,p/2], p being a positive integer. Explicit expressions for the transformation of the basis under the action of algebra generators are found. Since the relations of algebra generators correspond to the defining relations of m pairs of parafermion operators and n pairs of paraboson operators with relative paraferm…
We study the conformal field theories corresponding to current superalgebras $osp(2|2)^{(1)}_k$ and $osp(2|2)^{(2)}_k$. We construct the free field realizations, screen currents and primary fields of these current superalgebras at general level $k$. All the results for $osp(2|2)^{(2)}_k$ are new, and the results for the primary fields of $osp(2|2)^{(1)}_k$ also seem to be new. Our results are expected to be useful in the supersymmetric approach to Gaussian disordered systems such as random bond Ising model and Dirac model.
It is shown that the Clifford superalgebra Cl(n|m) generated by m pairs of Bose operators (odd elements) anticommuting with n pairs of Fermi operators (even elements) can be deformed to Cl_q(n|m) such that the latter is a homomorphic image of the quantum superalgebra U_q[osp(2n+1|2m)]. The Fock space F(n|m) of Cl_q(n|m) is constructed. At q being a root of unity (q=\exp ({iπl/k})) q-bosons (and q-fermions) are operators acting in a finite-dimensional subspace F_{l/k}(n|m) of F(n|m). Each F_{l/k}(n|m) is turned through the above mentioned homomorphism into an irreducible (root of unity) U_q[osp…
We consider a superextension of the extended Jordanian twist, describing nonstandard quantization of anti-de-Sitter ($AdS$) superalgebra $osp(1|4)$ in the form of Hopf superalgebra. The super-Jordanian twisting function and corresponding basic coproduct formulae for the generators of $osp(1|4)$ are given in explicit form. The nonlinear transformation of the classical superalgebra basis not modifying the defining algebraic relations but simplifying coproducts and antipodes is proposed. Our physical application is to interpret the new super-Jordanian deformation of $osp(1|4)$ superalgebra as def…
The type-I simple Lie-superalgebras are $sl(m|n)$ and $osp(2|2n)$. We study the quantum deformations of their untwisted affine extensions $U_q(sl(m|n)^{(1)})$ and $U_q(osp(2|2n)^{(1)})$. We identify additional relations between the simple generators (``extra $q$-Serre relations") which need to be imposed to properly define $\uqgh$ and $U_q(osp(2|2n)^{(1)})$. We present a general technique for deriving the spectral parameter dependent R-matrices from quantum affine superalgebras. We determine the R-matrices for the type-I affine superalgebra $U_q(sl(m|n)^{(1)})$ in various representations, ther…
An analytic Bethe ansatz is carried out related to tensor-like representations of the type II Lie superalgebras B(r|s)=osp(2r+1|2s) (r > -1, s >0) and D(r|s)=osp(2r|2s) (r >1, s >0). We present eigenvalue formulae of transfer matrices in dressed vacuum forms labeled by Young (super) diagrams. A class of transfer matrix functional relations (T-system) is discussed. In particular for B(0|s)=osp(1|2s)(s >0) case, a complete set of functional relations is proposed by using duality among dressed vacuum forms.
We present a classification of $W$ algebras and superalgebras arising in Abelian as well as non Abelian Toda theories. Each model, obtained from a constrained WZW action, is related with an $Sl(2)$ subalgebra (resp. $OSp(1|2)$ superalgebra) of a simple Lie algebra (resp. superalgebra) $\cg$. However, the determination of an $U(1)_Y$ factor, commuting with $Sl(2)$ (resp. $OSp(1|2)$), appears, when it exists, particularly useful to characterize the corresponding $W$ algebra. The (super) conformal spin contents of each $W$ (super)algebra is performed. The class of all the superconformal algebras …
We analyze a new MacDowell-Mansouri $R^2$-type supergravity action based on the superalgebra Osp(1|8). This contribution summarizes the work of hep-th/9702052.
We start from the Maurer-Cartan (MC) equations of the Osp(N|4) superalgebras satisfied by the left-invariant super-forms realized on supercoset manifolds of the corresponding supergroups and we derive some new pure spinor constraints. They are obtained by "ghostifying" the MC forms and extending the differential d to a BRST differential. From the superalgebras G =Osp(N|4) we single out different subalgebras H contained in G associated with the different cosets G/H: each choice of H leads to a different weakening of the pure spinor constraints. In each case, the number of parameter is counted a…
In this work we present the ultra-relativistic $\mathcal{N}$-extended AdS Chern-Simons supergravity theories in three spacetime dimensions invariant under $\mathcal{N}$-extended AdS Carroll superalgebras. We first consider the $(2,0)$ and $(1,1)$ cases; subsequently, we generalize our analysis to $\mathcal{N}=(\mathcal{N},0)$, with $\mathcal{N}$ even, and to $\mathcal{N}=(p,q)$, with $p,q>0$. The $\mathcal{N}$-extended AdS Carroll superalgebras are obtained through the Carrollian (i.e., ultra-relativistic) contraction applied to an $so(2)$ extension of $\mathfrak{osp}(2|2)\otimes \mathfrak{sp}…
In this paper I construct lattice models with an underlying $U_q osp(2,2)$ superalgebra symmetry. I find new solutions to the graded Yang-Baxter equation. These {\it trigonometric} $R$-matrices depend on {\it three} continuous parameters, the spectral parameter, the deformation parameter $q$ and the $U(1)$ parameter, $b$, of the superalgebra. It must be emphasized that the parameter $q$ is generic and the parameter $b$ does not correspond to the `nilpotency' parameter of \cite{gs}. The rational limits are given; they also depend on the $U(1)$ parameter and this dependence cannot be rescaled aw…
The super-AdS_5 X S^5 and the four-dimensional N=4 superconformal algebras play important roles in superstring theories. It is often discussed the roles of the osp(1|32) algebra as a maximal extension of the superalgebras in flat background. In this paper we show that the su(2,2|4), the super-AdS_5 X S^5 algebra or the superconformal algebra, is not a restriction of the osp(1|32) though the bosonic part of the former is a subgroup of the latter. There exist only two types of u(1) extension of the super-AdS_5 X S^5 algebra if the bosonic AdS_5 X S^5 covariance is imposed. Possible significance …
We construct, using the supersymplectic framework of Berezin, Kostant and others, two types of supersymmetric extensions of the Schrödinger algebra (itself a conformal extension of the Galilei algebra). An `$I$-type' extension exists in any space dimension, and for any pair of integers $N_+$ and $N_-$. It yields an $N=N_++N_-$ superalgebra, which generalizes the N=1 supersymmetry Gauntlett et al. found for a free spin-$\half$ particle, as well as the N=2 supersymmetry of the fermionic oscillator found by Beckers et al. In two space dimensions, new, `exotic' or `$IJ$-type' extensions arise for …
We derive short UIR's of the OSp(8/4,R) superalgebra of 3d N=8 superconformal field theories by the requirement that the highest weight states are annihilated by a subset of the super-Poincare odd generators. We then find a superfield realization of these BPS saturated UIR's as "composite operators" of the two basic ultrashort "supersingleton" multiplets. These representations are the AdS4 analogue of BPS states preserving different fractions of supersymmetry and are therefore suitable to classify perturbative and non-perturbative excitations of M-theory compactifications.
The algebraic structure generated by the creation and annihilation operators of a system of m parafermions and n parabosons, satisfying the mutual parafermion relations, is known to be the Lie superalgebra osp(2m+1|2n). The Fock spaces of such systems are then certain lowest weight representations of osp(2m+1|2n). In the current paper, we investigate what happens when the number of parafermions and parabosons becomes infinite. In order to analyze the algebraic structure, and the Fock spaces, we first need to develop a new matrix form for the Lie superalgebra B(n,n)=osp(2n+1|2n), and construct …
We consider Lie superalgebras under constraints of Hamiltonian reduction, yielding finite $W$-superalgebras which provide candidates for quadratic spacetime superalgebras. These have an undeformed bosonic symmetry algebra (even generators) graded by a fermionic sector (supersymmetry generators) with anticommutator brackets which are quadratic in the even generators. We analyze the reduction of several Lie superalgebras of type $gl(M|N)$ or $osp(M|2N)$ at the classical (Poisson bracket) level, and also establish their quantum (Lie bracket) equivalents. Purely bosonic extensions are also conside…
It is known that the defining triple relations of m pairs of parafermion operators and n pairs of paraboson operators with relative parafermion relations can be considered as defining relations for the Lie superalgebra osp(2m+1|2n) in terms of 2(m+n) generators. With the common Hermiticity conditions, this means that the parastatistics Fock space of order p corresponds to an infinite-dimensional unitary irreducible representation V(p) of osp(2m+1|2n), with lowest weight (-p/2,...,- p/|p/2,...,p/2). These representations (also in the simplest case m=n=1) had never been constructed due to comput…
In this paper, relying on previous results of one of us on harmonic analysis, we derive the complete spectrum of Osp(3|4) X SU(3) multiplets that one obtains compactifying D=11 supergravity on the unique homogeneous space N^{0,1,0} that has a tri-sasakian structure, namely leads to N=3 supersymmetry both in the four-dimensional bulk and on the three-dimensional boundary. As in previously analyzed cases the knowledge of the Kaluza Klein spectrum, together with general information on the geometric structure of the compact manifold is an essential ingredient to guess and construct the correspondi…
A Schroedinger type equation on the superspace R^{D|2n} is studied, which involves a potential inversely proportional to the negative of the osp(D|2n) invariant "distance" away from the origin. An osp(2,D+1|2n) dynamical supersymmetry for the system is explicitly constructed, and the bound states of the system are shown to form an irreducible highest weight module for this superalgebra. A thorough understanding of the structure of the irreducible module is obtained. This in particular enables the determination of the energy eigenvalues and the corresponding eigenspaces as well as their respect…
We analyze ${\rm AdS}_3$ superparticle dynamics on the coset ${\rm OSP}(1|2) \times {\rm OSP}(1|2)/{\rm SL}(2,\mathbb{R})$. The system is quantized in canonical coordinates obtained by gauge invariant Hamiltonian reduction. The left and right Noether charges of a massive particle are parametrized by coadjoint orbits of a timelike element of $\frak{osp}(1|2)$. Each chiral sector is described by two bosonic and two fermionic canonical coordinates corresponding to a superparticle with superpotential $W=q-m/q$, where $m$ is the particle mass. Canonical quantization then provides a quantum realizat…
Galilean conformal algebra (GCA) is an Inonu-Wigner (IW) contraction of a conformal algebra, while Newton-Hooke string algebra is an IW contraction of an AdS algebra which is the isometry of an AdS space. It is shown that the GCA is a boundary realization of the Newton-Hooke string algebra in the bulk AdS. The string lies along the direction transverse to the boundary, and the worldsheet is AdS_2. The one-dimensional conformal symmetry so(2,1) and rotational symmetry so(d) contained in the GCA are realized as the symmetry on the AdS_2 string worldsheet and rotational symmetry in the space tran…
We study the unitary supermultiplets of the N=4 d=7 anti-de Sitter (AdS_7) superalgebra OSp(8^*|4), with the even subalgebra SO(6,2) X USp(4), which is the symmetry superalgebra of M-theory on AdS_7 X S^4. We give a complete classification of the positive energy doubleton and massless supermultiplets of OSp(8^*|4) . The ultra-short doubleton supermultiplets do not have a Poincaré limit in AdS_7 and correspond to superconformal field theories on the boundary of AdS_7 which can be identified with d=6 Minkowski space. We show that the six dimensional Poincare mass operator vanishes identically fo…
Modules over affine Lie superalgebras ${\cal G}$ are studied, in particular, for ${\cal G}=\hat{OSP(1,2)}$. It is shown that on studying Verma modules, much of the results in Kac-Moody algebra can be generalized to the super case. Of most importance are the generalized Kac-Kazhdan formula and the Malikov-Feigin-Fuchs construction, which give the weights and the explicit form of the singular vectors in the Verma module over affine Kac-Moody superalgebras. We have also considered the decomposition of the admissible representation of $\hat{OSP(1,2)}$ into that of $\hat{SL(2)}\otimes$Virasoro alge…
The partial breaking of supersymmetry in anti-de Sitter (AdS) space can be accomplished using two of four dual representations for the massive OSp(1,4) spin-3/2 multiplet. The representations can be ``unHiggsed,'' which gives rise to a set of dual N=2 supergravities and supersymmetry algebras.
The Maxwell algebra, an enlargement of Poincare algebra by Abelian tensorial generators, can be obtained in arbitrary dimension D by the suitable contraction of O(D-1,1) \oplus O(D-1,2) (Lorentz algebra \oplus AdS algebra). We recall that in D=4 the Lorentz algebra O(3,1) is described by the realification Sp_R(2|C) of complex algebra Sp(2|C)\simeq Sl(2|C) and O(3,2)\simeq Sp(4). We study various D=4 N-extended Maxwell superalgebras obtained by the contractions of real superalgebras OSp_R(2N-k; 2|C)\oplus OSp(k;4), (k=1,2,...,2N) (extended Lorentz superalgebra \oplus extended AdS superalgebra).…
