In this paper, we discuss the energy-momentum problem in the realm of teleparallel gravity. The energy-momentum distribution for a class of regular black holes coupled with a non-linear electrodynamics source is investigated by using Hamiltonian approach of teleparallel theory. The generalized regular black hole contains two specific parameters $α$ and $β$ (a sort of dipole and quadrupole of non-linear source) on which the energy distribution depends. It is interesting to mention here that our results exactly coincide with different energy-momentum prescriptions in General Relativity.
This paper elaborates the problem of energy-momentum in the framework of teleparallel equivalent of General Relativity. For this purpose, we consider energy-momentum prescription derived from the integral form of the constraint equations developed in the Hamiltonian formulation of the teleparallel equivalent of General Relativity. We use this technique to investigate energy-momentum of stationary axisymmetric Einstein-Maxwell solutions and cosmic string spacetimes. The angular momentum, gravitational and matter energy-momentum fluxes of these spacetimes are also evaluated. It is concluded that…
The conserved quantities, that are, gravitational energy-momentum and its relevant quantities are investigated for cylindrical and spherical gravitational waves in the framework of teleparallel equivalent of General Relativity using the Hamiltonian approach. For both cylindrical and spherical gravitational waves, we obtain definite energy and constant momentum. The constant momentum shows consistency with the results available in General Relativity and teleparallel gravity. The angular momentum for cylindrical and spherical gravitational waves also turn out to be constant. Further, we evaluate…
We apply the energy-momentum tensor which is coordinate independent to calculate the energy content of the axisymmetric solutions. Our results are compared with what have been obtained before within the framework of Einstein general relativity and Møler's tetrad theory of gravitation.
In this paper, we find the teleparallel version of the Levi-Civita metric and obtain tetrad and the torsion fields. The tensor, vector and the axial-vector parts of the torsion tensor are evaluated. It is found that the vector part lies along the radial direction only while the axial-vector vanishes everywhere because the metric is diagonal. Further, we use the teleparallel version of M$\ddot{o}$ller, Einstein, Landau-Lifshitz and Bergmann-Thomson prescriptions to find the energy-momentum distribution of this metric and compare the results with those already found in General Relativity. It is …
This work contains the teleparallel version of the stationary axisymmetric solutions. We obtain the tetrad and the torsion fields representing these solutions. The tensor, vector and axial-vector parts of the torsion tensor are evaluated. It is found that the axial-vector has component only along $ρ$ and $z$ directions. The three possibilities of the axial vector depending on the metric function $B$ are discussed. The vector related with spin has also been evaluated and the corresponding extra Hamiltonian is furnished. Further, we use the teleparallel version of M$\ddot{o}$ller prescription to…
Using a nonlinear electrodynamics coupled to teleparallel theory of gravity, three regular charged spherically symmetric solutions are obtained. The nonlinear theory reduces to the Maxwell one in the weak limit and the solutions correspond to charged spacetimes. The third solution contains an arbitrary function from which we can generate the other two solutions. The metric associated with these spacetimes is the same, i.e., a regular charged static spherically symmetric black hole. In calculating the energy content of the third solution using the gravitational energy-momentum given by Møller, …
We calculate the total energy of an exact spherically symmetric solutions, i.e., Schwarzschild and Reissner Nordstr$\ddot{o}$m, using the gravitational energy-momentum 3-form within the tetrad formulation of general relativity. We explain how the effect of the inertial makes the total energy unphysical! Therefore, we use the covariant teleparallel approach which makes the energy always physical one. We also show that the inertial has no effect on the calculation of momentum.
In the context of teleparallel equivalent to General Relativity, we study energy and its relevant quantities for some well-known black hole solutions. For this purpose, we use the Hamiltonian approach which gives reasonable and interesting results. We find that our results of energy exactly coincide with several prescriptions in General Relativity. This supports the claim that different energy-momentum prescriptions can give identical results for a given spacetime. We also evaluate energy-momentum flux of these solutions.
The expression of the gravitational energy-momentum defined in the context of the teleparallel equivalent of general relativity is extended to an arbitrary set of real-valued tetrad fields, by adding a suitable reference space subtraction term. The characterization of tetrad fields as reference frames is addressed in the context of the Kerr space-time. It is also pointed out that Einstein's version of the principle of equivalence does not preclude the existence of a definition for the gravitational energy-momentum density.
Born-Infeld deformation strategy to smooth theories having divergent solutions is applied to the teleparallel equivalent of General Relativity. The equivalence between teleparallelism and General Relativity is exploited to obtain a deformed theory of gravity based on second order differential equations, since teleparallel Lagrangian is built just from first derivatives of the vierbein. We show that Born-Infeld teleparallelism cures the initial singularity in a spatially flat FRW universe; moreover, it provides a natural inflationary stage without resorting to an inflaton field. The Born-Infeld…
The field equations of a special class of teleparallel theory of gravitation and electromagnetic fields have been applied to tetrad space having cylindrical symmetry with four unknown functions of radial coordinate $r$ and azimuth angle $θ$. The vacuum stress-energy momentum tensor with one assumption concerning its specific form generates one non-trivial exact analytic solution. This solution is characterized by a constant magnetic field parameter $B_0$. If $B_0=0$ then, the solution will reduces to the flat spacetime. The energy content is calculated using the superpotential given in the fra…
The properties of the gravitational energy-momentum 3-form and of the superpotential 2-form are discussed in the covariant teleparallel framework, where the Weitzenböck connection represents inertial effects related to the choice of the frame. Due to its odd asymptotic behavior, the contribution of the inertial effects often yields unphysical (divergent or trivial) results for the total energy of the system. However, in the covariant teleparallel approach, the energy is always finite and nontrivial. The teleparallel connection plays a role of a regularizing tool which subtracts the inertial ef…
We derive two new retarded solutions in the teleparallel theory equivalent to general relativity (TEGR). One of these solutions gives a divergent energy. Therefore, we used the regularized expression of the gravitational energy-momentum tensor, which is a coordinate dependent. A detailed analysis of the loss of the mass of Bondi space-time is carried out using the flux of the gravitational energy-momentum.
We calculate energy and momentum of a spherically symmetric dilaton frame using the gravitational energy-momentum 3-form within the tetrad formulation of general relativity (GR). The frame we use is characterized by an arbitrary function $Υ$ with the help of which all the previously found solutions can be reproduced. We show how the effect of inertia {\it (which is mainly reproduced from $Υ$)} makes the total energy and momentum always different from the well known result when we use the Riemannian connection ${{\widetilde Γ}_α}^β$. On the other hand, when use is made of the covariant formulat…
We consider three-dimensional gravity based on torsion. Specifically, we consider an extension of the so-called Teleparallel Equivalent of General Relativity in the presence of a scalar field with a self-interacting potential, where the scalar field is non-minimally coupled with the torsion scalar. Then, we find asymptotically AdS hairy black hole solutions, which are characterized by a scalar field with a power-law behavior, being regular outside the event horizon and null at spatial infinity and by a self-interacting potential, which tends to an effective cosmological constant at spatial inf…
We apply the energy-momentum tensor to calculate energy, momentum and angular-momentum of two different tetrad fields. This tensor is coordinate independent of the gravitational field established in the Hamiltonian structure of the teleparallel equivalent of general relativity (TEGR). The spacetime of these tetrad fields is the charged dilaton. Our results show that the energy associated with one of these tetrad fields is consistent, while the other one does not show this consistency. Therefore, we use the regularized expression of the gravitational energy-momentum tensor of the TEGR. We inves…
Two spherically symmetric, static Lorentzian wormholes are obtained in tetrad theory of gravitation as a solution of the equation $ρ=ρ_t=0$, where $ρ=T_{ij}u^iu^j, ρ_t=(T_{ij}-{1/2}Tg_{ij})u^iu^j$ and $u^iu_i=-1$. This equation characterizes a class of spacetime which are "self-dual" (in the sense of electrogravity duality). The obtained solutions are characterized by two-parameters $k_1, k_2$ and have a common property that they reproduce the same metric spacetime. This metric is the static Lorentzian wormhole and it includes the Schwarzschild black hole. Calculating the energy content of the…
An exact charged solution with axial symmetry is obtained in the teleparallel equivalent of general relativity (TEGR). The associated metric has the structure function $G(ξ)=1-ξ^2-2mAξ^3-q^2A^2ξ^4$. The fourth order nature of the structure function can make calculations cumbersome. Using a coordinate transformation we get a tetrad whose metric has the structure function in a factorisable form $(1-ξ^2)(1+r_{+}Aξ)(1+r_{-}Aξ)$ with $r_{\pm}$ as the horizons of Reissner-Nordstr$\ddot{o}$m space-time. This new form has the advantage that its roots are now trivial to write down. Then, we study the s…
We investigate the Lagrange multiplier formulation of teleparallel theories, including f(T) gravity, in which the connection is not set to zero a priori and compare it with the pure frame theory. We show explicitly that the two formulations are equivalent, in the sense that the dynamical equations have the same content. One consequence is that the manifestly local Lorentz invariant f(T) theory cannot be expected to be free of pathologies, which were previously found to plague f(T) gravity formulated in the usual pure frame approach.
The teleparallel coframe gravity may be viewed as a generalization of the standard GR. A coframe (a field of four independent 1-forms) is considered, in this approach, to be a basic dynamical variable. The metric tensor is treated as a secondary structure. The general Lagrangian, quadratic in the first order derivatives of the coframe field is not unique. It involves three dimensionless free parameters. We consider a weak field approximation of the general coframe teleparallel model. In the linear approximation, the field variable, the coframe, is covariantly reduced to the superposition of th…
An exact solution is obtained in the tetrad theory of gravitation. This solution is characterized by two-parameters $k_1, k_2$ of spherically symmetric static Lorentzian wormhole which is obtained as a solution of the equation $ρ=ρ_t=0$ with $ρ=T_{i,j}u^iu^j$, $ρ_t=(T_{ij}-\displaystyle{1 \over 2}Tg_{ij}) u^iu^j$ where $u^iu_i=-1$. From this solution which contains an arbitrary function we can generates the other two solutions obtained before. The associated metric of this spacetime is a static Lorentzian wormhole and it includes the Schwarzschild black hole, a family of naked singularity and …
The energy-momentum tensor, which is coordinate independent, is used to calculate energy, momentum and angular-momentum of two different tetrad fields. Although, the two tetrad fields reproduce the same space-time their energies are different. Therefore, a regularized expression of the gravitational energy-momentum tensor of the teleparallel equivalent of general relativity, (TEGR), is used to make the energies of the two tetrad fields equal. The definition of the gravitational energy-momentum is used to investigate the energy within the external event horizon. The components of angular-moment…
The present paper is elaborated to discuss the energy condition bounds in a modified teleparallel gravity namely $F(T,T_{G})$, involving torsion invariant $T$ and contribution from a term $T_G$, the teleparallel equivalent of the Gauss-Bonnet term. For this purpose, we consider flat FRW universe with matter contents as perfect fluid. We formulate the SEC, NEC, WEC and DEC in terms of some cosmic parameters including Hubble, deceleration, jerk and snap parameters. By taking two interesting models for $F(T,T_{G})$ and some recent limits of these cosmic parameters, we explore the constraints on t…
The restoration of spin connection clarifies the long known local Lorentz invariance problem in telelparallel gravities. It is considered now that any tetrad together with the associated spin connection can be equally utilized. Among the tetrads there is a particular one, namely proper tetrad, in which all the spurious inertial effects are removed and the spin connection vanishes. A specific tetrad was proposed in the literature for spherically symmetric cases, which has been used in regularizing the action, as well as in searching solutions in various scenarios. We show in this paper that the…

We study cosmological solutions in nonlocal teleparallel gravity or $f(T)$ theory, where $T$ is the torsion scalar in teleparallel gravity. This is a natural extenstion of the usual teleparallel gravity with nonlocal terms. In this work the phase space portrait proposed to describe the dynamics of an arbitrary flat, homogeneous cosmological background with a number of matter contents, both in early and late time epochs. The aim was to convert the system of the equations of the motion to a first order autonomous dynamical system and to find fixed points and attractors using numerical codes. For…

Within the framework of teleparallel equivalent of general relativity (TEGR) theory, calculation of the total energy and momentum of Kerr-NUT spacetimes have been employed using two methods of the gravitational energy-momentum, which is coordinate independent, and the Riemannian connection 1-form, ${\widetildeΓ_α}^β$. It has been shown that the two methods give the same an unacceptable result, i.e., divergent value. Therefore, a local Lorentz transformation that plays a role of a regularizing tool, which subtracts the inertial effects without distorting the true gravitational contribution, has…
Over the past decades, the role of torsion in gravity has been extensively investigated along the main direction of bringing gravity closer to its gauge formulation and incorporating spin in a geometric description. Here we review various torsional constructions, from teleparallel, to Einstein-Cartan, and metric-affine gauge theories, resulting in extending torsional gravity in the paradigm of f(T) gravity, where f(T) is an arbitrary function of the torsion scalar. Based on this theory, we further review the corresponding cosmological and astrophysical applications. In particular, we study cos…
We study the conditions imposed on matter to produce a regular (non-singular) interior of a class of spherically symmetric black holes in the $f(T)$ extension of teleparallel gravity. The class of black holes studied is necessarily singular in general relativity. We derive a tetrad which is compatible with the black hole interior and utilize this tetrad in the gravitational equations of motion to study the black hole interior. It is shown that in the case where the gravitational Lagrangian is expandable in a power series $f(T)=T+\underset{n\neq 1}{\sum} b_{n}T^{n}$ that black holes can be non-…
Using the Teleparallel Equivalent of General Relativity formulated in Weitzenböck spacetime, we thoroughly explore a kind of Born-Infeld regular gravity leading to second order field equations for the vielbein components. We explicitly solve the equations of motion for two examples: the extended BTZ black hole, which results to exist even if the cosmological constant is positive, and a cosmological model with matter, where the scale factor results to be well behaved, giving so a singularity-free solution.
Recently it has been claimed by Chinaglia and Zerbini that the curvature singularity is present even in the so-called regular black hole solutions of the Einstein equations. In this brief note we show that this criticism is devoid of any physical content.
This article is based on the study of wormhole geometries in the context of symmetric teleparallel gravity or $f(Q)$ gravity, where $Q$ is the non-metricity scalar, and it is responsible for the gravitational interaction. To discuss the wormhole solutions, we consider spherically symmetric static spacetime metric with anisotropic matter contents under well-known non-commutative distributions known as Gaussian and Lorentzian distributions with an extra condition of permitting conformal killing vectors (CKV). This work aims to obtain wormhole solutions under these distributions, and through we f…
We study new solutions of black bounce spacetimes formulated in $f(T)$ gravity in four dimensions. First, we present the case of a diagonal tetrad, where a constraint arises in the equations of motion, which is divided into the cases of null torsion, constant torsion, and Teleparallel. The Null Energy Condition (NEC) is still always violated, which implies that the other energy conditions are violated. The solutions are regular in all spacetime and the solution with null torsion exhibits discontinuity between the energy conditions outside and inside the event horizon. Second, we present the ca…

Inspired by the BTZ formalism, we discuss the Maxwell-$f(T)$ gravity in (2+1)-dimensions. The main task is to derive exact solutions for a special form of $f(T)=T+εT^2$, with $T$ being the torsion scalar of Weitzenb$\ddot{\mbox{o}}$ck geometry. To this end, a triad field is applied to the equations of motion of charged $f(T)$ and sets of circularly symmetric non-charged and charged solutions have been derived. We show that, in the charged case, the monopole-like and the ${\it ln}$ terms are linked by a correlative constant despite of known results in teleparallel geometry and its extensions [3…
We seek to obtain a new class of exact solutions of regular black holes in $f(T)$ Gravity with non-linear electrodynamics material content, with spherical symmetry in $4D$. The equations of motion provide the regaining of various solutions of General Relativity, as a particular case where the function $f(T)=T$. We developed a powerful method for finding exact solutions, where we get the first new class of regular black holes solutions in the $f(T)$ Theory, where all the geometrics scalars disappear at the origin of the radial coordinate and are finite everywhere, as well as a new class of sing…
