In this paper, equivalence between interpolation properties of linear operators and monotonicity conditions are studied, for a pair $(X_0,X_1)$ of rearrangement invariant quasi Banach spaces, when the extreme spaces of the interpolation are $L^\infty$ and a pair $(A_0,A_1)$ under some assumptions. Weak and restricted weak intermediate spaces fall in our context. Applications to classical Lorentz and Lorentz-Orlicz spaces are given.

It is shown that $Ces_p(I)$ is an interpolation space between $Ces_{p_0}(I)$ and $Ces_{p_1}(I)$ for $1 < p_0 < p_1 \leq \infty$ and $1/p = (1 - θ)/p_0 + θ/p_1$ with $0 < θ< 1$, where $I = [0, \infty)$ or $[0, 1]$. Given an inner function $B$ we classify the invariant subspaces of the algebra $H^\infty_B:=\mathbb{C}+BH^\infty$. We explicitly describe all Hilbert function spaces that are interpolation spaces with respect to a given couple of Sobolev inner product spaces considered over $\mathbb{R}^{n}$ or a half-space in $\mathbb{R}^{n}$ or a bounded Euclidean domain with Lipschitz boundary. We prove that these interpolation spaces form a subclass of isotropic Hörmander spaces. They are parametrized with a radial function parameter which is OR-varying at $+\infty$ and satisfies some additional conditions. Let $1\le p<q\le\infty$ and let $T$ be a subadditive operator acting on $L^p$ and $L^q$. We prove that $T$ is bounded on the Orlicz space $L^ϕ$, where $ϕ^{-1}(u)=u^{1/p}ρ(u^{1/q-1/p})$ for some concave function $ρ$ and \[ \|T\|_{L^ϕ\to L^ϕ}\le C\max\{\|T\|_{L^p\to L^p},\|T\|_{L^q\to L^q}\}. \] The interpolation constant $C$, in general, is less than 4 and, in many cases, we can give much better estimates for $C$. We study several aspects concerning slice regular functions mapping the quaternionic open unit ball into itself. We characterize these functions in terms of their Taylor coefficients at the origin and identify them as contractive multipliers of the Hardy space. In addition, we formulate and solve the Nevanlinna-Pick interpolation problem in the class of such functions presenting necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence and for the uniqueness of a solution. Finally, we describe all solutions to the problem in the indeterminate case.
