In this paper we consider a family G of the ordered means for positive invertible operators equipped with homogeneity and properties related to the Loewner partial order such as the monotonicity, joint concavity, and arithmetic-G-harmonic weighted mean inequalities. Finite dimensional ordered vector spaces with Riesz interpolation and Effros-Shen's unimodularity conjecture

It is shown that, for any field F \subseteq R, any ordered vector space structure of F^n with Riesz interpolation is given by an inductive limit of sequence with finite stages (F^n,\F_{>= 0}^n) (where n does not change). This relates to a conjecture of Effros and Shen, since disproven, which is given by the same statement, except with F replaced by the integers, Z. Indeed, it shows that although Effros and Shen's conjecture is false, it is true after tensoring with Q.

Real interpolation and transposition of certain function spaces

Our starting point is a lemma due to Varopoulos. We give a different proof of a generalized form this lemma, that yields an equivalent description of the $K$-functional for the interpolation couple $(X_0,X_1)$ where $X_0=L_{p_0,\infty}(μ_1; L_q(μ_2))$ and $X_1=L_{p_1,\infty}(μ_2; L_q(μ_1))$ where $0<q<p_0,p_1\le \infty$ and $(Ω_1,μ_1), (Ω_2,μ_2)$ are arbitrary measure spaces. Generalizing Lieb's Concavity Theorem via Operator Interpolation

We introduce the notion of $k$-trace and use interpolation of operators to prove the joint concavity of the function $(A,B)\mapsto\text{Tr}_k\big[(B^\frac{qs}{2}K^*A^{ps}KB^\frac{qs}{2})^{\frac{1}{s}}\big]^\frac{1}{k}$, which generalizes Lieb's concavity theorem from trace to a class of homogeneous functions $\text{Tr}_k[\cdot]^\frac{1}{k}$. Here $\text{Tr}_k[A]$ denotes the $k_{\text{th}}$ elementary symmetric polynomial of the eigenvalues of $A$.
