When $ε=1$, this affords a realization of certain irreducible modules for the toroidal extended affine Lie algebras first constructed by Billig.

In this paper, we first classify all irreducible modules of the vertex algebra $V_L^+$ when $L$ is a negative definite even lattice of arbitrary rank. In particular, we show that any irreducible $V_L^+$-module is isomorphic to a submodule of an irreducible twisted $V_L$-module. We then extend this result to a vertex algebra $V_L^+$ when $L$ is a nondegenerate even lattice of finite rank.

We introduce the $h$-adic quantum vertex algebras associated with the trigonometric $R$-matrices in types $B$, $C$ and $D$, thus generalizing the well-known Etingof-Kazhdan construction in type $A$. We show that restricted modules for quantum affine algebras in types $B$, $C$ and $D$ are naturally equipped with the structure of $ϕ$-coordinated module for the aforementioned $h$-adic quantum vertex algebras.
Motivated by logarithmic conformal field theory and Gromov-Witten theory, we introduce a notion of a twisted module of a vertex algebra under an arbitrary (not necessarily semisimple) automorphism. Its main feature is that the twisted fields involve the logarithm of the formal variable. Let $V_{L}$ be the vertex algebra associated to a non-degenerate even lattice $L$, $θ$ the automorphism of $V_{L}$ induced from the $-1$ symmetry of $L$, and $V_{L}^{+}$ the fixed point subalgebra of $V_{L}$ under the action of $θ$. Quasimodules for vertex algebras are generalizations of modules for vertex algebras. These new objects arise from a generalization of locality for fields. Quasimodules tie together module theory and twisted module theory, and both twisted and untwisted modules feature Poincare-Birkhoff-Witt-like spanning sets. We focus primarily on lattices $L$ whose Gram matrix contains only non-negative entries. In this paper, we study nullity-2 toroidal extended affine Lie algebras in the context of vertex algebras and their $ϕ$-coordinated modules. Among the main results, we introduce a variant of toroidal extended affine Lie algebras, associate vertex algebras to the variant Lie algebras, and establish a canonical connection between modules for toroidal extended affine Lie algebras and $ϕ$-coordinated modules for these vertex algebras. Herein we study conformal vectors of a Z-graded vertex algebra of (strong) CFT type. We prove that the full vertex algebra automorphism group transitively acts on the set of the conformal vectors of strong CFT type if the vertex algebra is simple. For any integral lattice $Q$, one can construct a vertex algebra $V_Q$ called a lattice vertex algebra. If $σ$ is an automorphism of $Q$ of finite order, it can be lifted to an automorphism of $V_Q$. In this paper we classify the irreducible $σ$-twisted $V_Q$-modules. We show that the category of $σ$-twisted $V_Q$-modules is a semisimple abelian category with finitely many isomorphism classes of simple objects.

We introduce a notion of a (V,T)-module over a vertex algebra V for an arbitrary positive integer T, which is a generalization of a twisted V-module. Under some conditions on V, we construct an associative algebra A^{T}_{m}(V) for m\in(1/T)\N and an A^{T}_{m}(V)-A^{T}_{n}(V)-bimodule A^{T}_{n,m}(V) for n,m\in(1/T)\N and we establish a one-to-one correspondence between the set of isomorphism classes of simple left A^{T}_{0}(V)-modules and that of simple (1/T)\N-graded (V,T)-modules.
In this paper, we study Virasoro vertex algebras and affine vertex algebras over a general field of characteristic $p>2$. More specifically, we study certain quotients of the universal Virasoro and affine vertex algebras by ideals related to the $p$-centers of the Virasoro algebra and affine Lie algebras. We first investigate the algebraic structure of vertex algebroids $B$ when $B$ are simple Leibniz algebras. Next, we use these vertex algebroids $B$ to construct indecomposable non-simple $C_2$-cofinite $\mathbb{N}$-graded vertex algebras $\overline{V_B}$. We show that certain vertex algebras without vacuum vector may be embedded into vertex algebras. The result is a partial analogue of the simple classical fact that any rng can be embedded into a ring. A one-line proof of the case of a vacuum-free vertex algebra (whose vertex operator map is by definition injective) appeared in Robinson (2010) using a powerful result from the representation theory of vertex algebras as algebras of mutually local weak vertex operators. Here we present a more elementary proof of a somewhat more general case. We also show that our constructions are canonical.
We introduce dg Lie algebras controlling the deformations of vertex algebras and vertex Poisson algebras, utilizing the notion of operadic dg Lie algebra and the theory of chiral algebra.
