For any nullity $2$ extended affine Lie algebra $\mathcal{E}$ of maximal type and $\ell\in\mathbb{C}$, we prove that there exist a vertex algebra $V_{\mathcal{E}}(\ell)$ and an automorphism group $G$ of $V_{\mathcal{E}}(\ell)$ equipped with a linear character $χ$, such that the category of restricted $\mathcal{E}$-modules of level $\ell$ is canonically isomorphic to the category of $(G,χ)$-equivariant $ϕ$-coordinated quasi $V_{\mathcal{E}}(\ell)$-modules. Moreover, when $\ell$ is a nonnegative integer, there is a quotient vertex algebra $L_{\mathcal{E}}(\ell)$ of $V_{\mathcal{E}}(\ell)$ modulo by a $G$-stable ideal, and we prove that the integrable restricted $\mathcal{E}$-modules of level $\ell$ are exactly the $(G,χ)$-equivariant $ϕ$-coordinated quasi $L_{\mathcal{E}}(\ell)$-modules.
In this paper, we study $(G,χ_ϕ)$-equivariant $ϕ$-coordinated quasi modules for nonlocal vertex algebras. Among the main results, we establish several conceptual results, including a generalized commutator formula and a general construction of weak quantum vertex algebras and their $(G,χ_ϕ)$-equivariant $ϕ$-coordinated quasi modules. As an application, we also construct (equivariant) $ϕ$-coordinated quasi modules for lattice vertex algebras by using Lepowsky's work on twisted vertex operators.
To give a unified treatment on the association of Lie algebras and vertex algebras, we study $(G,χ_ϕ)$-equivariant $ϕ$-coordinated quasi modules for vertex algebras, where $G$ is a group with $χ_ϕ$ a linear character of $G$ and $ϕ$ is an associate of the one-dimensional additive formal group. The theory of $(G,χ_ϕ)$-equivariant $ϕ$-coordinated quasi modules for nonlocal vertex algebra is established in \cite{JKLT}. In this paper, we concentrate on the context of vertex algebras. We establish several conceptual results, including a generalized commutator formula and a general construction of ve…
In this short note, we show that the Ginzburg-Vasserot map between the quantum affine algebra of type A_(n-1) and the equivariant K-theory group of the Steinberg Variety (of n-step flags in C^d) restricts and remains surjective at the level of the integral forms. In particular, this shows that the parametrization of irreducible, finite-dimensional modules and the Kazhdan-Lusztig multiplicity formulas are valid for the (restricted) specialization at roots of unity.
In this paper, we study a family of infinite-dimensional Lie algebras $\widehat{X}_{S}$, where $X$ stands for the type: $A,B,C,D$, and $S$ is an abelian group, which generalize the $A,B,C,D$ series of trigonometric Lie algebras. Among the main results, we identify $\widehat{X}_{S}$ with what are called the covariant algebras of the affine Lie algebra $\widehat{\mathcal{L}_{S}}$ with respect to some automorphism groups, where $\mathcal{L}_{S}$ is an explicitly defined associative algebra viewed as a Lie algebra. We then show that restricted $\widehat{X}_{S}$-modules of level $\ell$ naturally co…
In this paper, we study nullity-2 toroidal extended affine Lie algebras in the context of vertex algebras and their $ϕ$-coordinated modules. Among the main results, we introduce a variant of toroidal extended affine Lie algebras, associate vertex algebras to the variant Lie algebras, and establish a canonical connection between modules for toroidal extended affine Lie algebras and $ϕ$-coordinated modules for these vertex algebras. Furthermore, by employing some results of Billig, we obtain an explicit realization of irreducible modules for the variant Lie algebras.
We give complete proofs of the K-theoretic construction of the quantized enveloping algebra of affine gl(n) sketched with V. Ginzburg in Internat. Math. Res. Notices, 3 (1993).
We develop a theory of $ϕ$-coordinated (quasi) modules for a nonlocal vertex algebra and we establish a conceptual construction of nonlocal vertex algebras and their $ϕ$-coordinated (quasi) modules, where $ϕ$ is what we call an associate of the one-dimensional additive formal group. By specializing $ϕ$ to a particular associate, we obtain a new construction of weak quantum vertex algebras in the sense of \cite{li-qva1}. As an application, we associate weak quantum vertex algebras to quantum affine algebras, and we also associate quantum vertex algebras and $ϕ$-coordinated modules to a certain …
In this paper, for every $ε\in \mathbb{Z}$, we introduce an extension of the 2-toroidal Lie algebra by certain derivations. Based on the $ϕ_ε$-coordinated modules theory for vertex algebras, we give an explicit realization of a class of irreducible highest weight modules for this extended toroidal Lie algebra. When $ε=1$, this affords a realization of certain irreducible modules for the toroidal extended affine Lie algebras first constructed by Billig.
We introduce the $h$-adic quantum vertex algebras associated with the trigonometric $R$-matrices in types $B$, $C$ and $D$, thus generalizing the well-known Etingof-Kazhdan construction in type $A$. We show that restricted modules for quantum affine algebras in types $B$, $C$ and $D$ are naturally equipped with the structure of $ϕ$-coordinated module for the aforementioned $h$-adic quantum vertex algebras.
We show that the equivariant hypertoric convolution algebras introduced by Braden-Licata-Proudfoot-Webster are affine quasi hereditary in the sense of Kleshchev and compute the Ext groups between standard modules. Together with the main result of arXiv:2009.03981, this implies a number of new homological results about the bordered Floer algebras of Ozsvath-Szabo, including the existence of standard modules over these algebras. We prove that the Ext groups between standard modules are isomorphic to the homology of a variant of the Lipshitz-Ozsvath-Thurston bordered strands dg algebras.
We establish a natural connection of the $q$-Virasoro algebra $D_{q}$ introduced by Belov and Chaltikian with affine Kac-Moody Lie algebras. More specifically, for each abelian group $S$ together with a one-to-one linear character $χ$, we define an infinite-dimensional Lie algebra $D_{S}$ which reduces to $D_{q}$ when $S=\mathbb{Z}$. Guided by the theory of equivariant quasi modules for vertex algebras, we introduce another Lie algebra ${\mathfrak{g}}_{S}$ with $S$ as an automorphism group and we prove that $D_{S}$ is isomorphic to the $S$-covariant algebra of the affine Lie algebra $\widehat{…
We apply the theory of $ϕ$-coordinated modules, developed by H.-S. Li, to the Etingof--Kazhdan quantum affine vertex algebra associated with the trigonometric $R$-matrix of type $A$. We prove, for a certain associate $ϕ$ of the one-dimensional additive formal group, that any $ϕ$-coordinated module for the level $c\in\mathbb{C}$ quantum affine vertex algebra is naturally equipped with a structure of restricted level $c$ module for the quantum affine algebra in type $A$ and vice versa. Moreover, we show that any $ϕ$-coordinated module is irreducible with respect to the action of the quantum affi…
In this paper, we explore natural connections among trigonometric Lie algebras, (general) affine Lie algebras, and vertex algebras. Among the main results, we obtain a realization of trigonometric Lie algebras as what were called the covariant algebras of the affine Lie algebra $\widehat{\mathcal{A}}$ of Lie algebra $\mathcal{A}=\frak{gl}_{\infty}\oplus\frak{gl}_{\infty}$ with respect to certain automorphism groups. We then prove that restricted modules of level $\ell$ for trigonometric Lie algebras naturally correspond to equivariant quasi modules for the affine vertex algebras $V_{\widehat{\…
In this paper, we explore natural connections among the representations of the extended affine Lie algebra $\widehat{sl_N}(\mathbb{C}_q)$ with $\mathbb{C}_q=\mathbb{C}_q[t_0^{\pm1},t_1^{\pm1}]$ an irrational quantum 2-torus, the simple affine vertex algebra $L_{\widehat{sl_{\infty}}}(\ell,0)$ with $\ell$ a positive integer, and Levi subgroups $G$ of $GL_\ell(\mathbb{C})$. First, we give a canonical isomorphism between the category of integrable restricted $\widehat{sl_N}(\mathbb{C}_q)$-modules of level $\ell$ and that of equivariant quasi $L_{\widehat{sl_{\infty}}}(\ell,0)$-modules. Second, we…
We consider the algebra $A$ of bounded operators on $L^2(\mathbb{R}^n)$ generated by quantizations of isometric affine canonical transformations. The algebra $A$ includes as subalgebras all noncommutative tori and toric orbifolds. We define the spectral triple $(A, H, D)$ with $H=L^2(\mathbb R^n, Λ(\mathbb R^n))$ and the Euler operator $D$, a first order differential operator of index $1$. We show that this spectral triple has simple dimension spectrum: For every operator $B$ in the algebra $Ψ(A,H,D)$ generated by the Shubin type pseudodifferential operators and the elements of $A$, the zeta f…
Let $G$ be a finite subgroup in SU(2), and $Q$ the corresponding affine Dynkin diagram. In this paper, we review the relation between the categories of $G$-equivariant sheaves on $P^1$ and $Rep Q_h$, where $h$ is an orientation of $Q$, constructing an explicit equivalence of corresponding derived categories.
We study the de-equivariantization of a Hopf algebra by an affine group scheme and we apply Tannakian techniques in order to realize it as the tensor category of comodules over a coquasi-bialgebra. As an application we construct a family of coquasi-Hopf algebras $A(H,G,Φ)$ attached to a coradically-graded pointed Hopf algebra $H$ and some extra data.
Suppose a finite group acts on a scheme X and a finite-dimensional Lie algebra g. The associated equivariant map algebra is the Lie algebra of equivariant regular maps from X to g. Examples include generalized current algebras and (twisted) multiloop algebras. Local Weyl modules play an important role in the theory of finite-dimensional representations of loop algebras and quantum affine algebras. In the current paper, we extend the definition of local Weyl modules (previously defined only for generalized current algebras and twisted loop algebras) to the setting of equivariant map algebras wh…
We construct a representation of the affine W-algebra of gl_r on the equivariant homology space of the moduli space of U_r-instantons on A^2, and identify the corresponding module. As a corollary we give a proof of a version of the AGT conjecture concerning pure N=2 gauge theory for the group SU(r). Another proof has been announced by Maulik and Okounkov. Our approach uses a suitable deformation of the universal enveloping algebra of the Witt algebra W_{1+\infty}, which is shown to act on the above homology spaces (for any r) and which specializes to all W(gl_r). This deformation is in turn co…
Let $Γ$ be a finite subgroup of $\SL_2(\C)$. We consider $Γ$-fixed point sets in Hilbert schemes of points on the affine plane $\C^2$. The direct sum of homology groups of components has a structure of a representation of the affine Lie algebra $\ag$ corresponding to $Γ$. If we replace homology groups by equivariant $K$-homology groups, we get a representation of the quantum toroidal algebra $\Ut$. We also discuss a higher rank generalization and character formulas in terms of intersection homology groups.
An affine Hecke algebras can be realized as an equivariant K-group of the corresponding Steinberg variety. This gives rise naturally to some two-sided ideals of the affine Hecke algebra by means of the closures of nilpotent orbits of the corresponding Lie algebra. In this paper we will show that the two-sided ideals are in fact the two-sided ideals of the affine Hecke algebra defined through two-sided cells of the corresponding affine Weyl group after the two-sided ideals are tensored by rational numbers field. This proves a weak form of a conjecture of Ginzburg proposed in 1987.
According to Kazhdan-Lusztig and Ginzburg, the Hecke algebra of an affine Weyl group is identified with the equivariant $K$-group of Steinberg's triple variety. The $K$-group is equipped with a filtration indexed by closed $G$-stable subvarieties of the nilpotent variety, where $G$ is the corresponding reductive algebraic group over $\mathbb{C}$. In this paper we will show in the case of type $A$ that the filtration is compatible with the Kazhdan-Lusztig basis of the Hecke algebra.
There are two intriguing statements regarding the quantum cohomology of partial flag varieties. The first one relates quantum cohomology to the affinisation of Lie algebras and the homology of the affine Grassmannian, the second one connects it with the geometry of quiver varieties. The connection with the affine Grassmannian was first discussed in unpublished work of Peterson and subsequently proved by Lam and Shimozono. The second development is based on recent works of Nekrasov, Shatashvili and of Maulik, Okounkov relating the quantum cohomology of Nakajima varieties with integrable systems…
The localized equivariant homology of the quiver variety of type $A_{N-1}^{(1)}$ can be identified with the level one Fock space by assigning a normalized torus fixed point basis to certain symmetric functions, Jack($\mathfrak{gl}_N$) symmetric functions introduced by Uglov. We show that this correspondence is compatible with actions of two algebras, the Yangian for $\mathfrak{sl}_N$ and the affine Lie algebra $\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_N$, on both sides. Consequently we obtain affine Yangian action on the Fock space.
Various equivariant intersection numbers on Hilbert schemes of points on the affine plane are computed, some of which are organized into tau-functions of 2-Toda hierarchies. A correspondence between the equivariant intersection on Hilbert schemes and stationary Gromov-Witten theory is established.
