On Indecomposable Non-Simple $\mathbb{N}$-graded Vertex Algebras

In this paper, we study an impact of Leibniz algebras on the algebraic structure of $\mathbb{N}$-graded vertex algebras. We provide easy ways to characterize indecomposable non-simple $\mathbb{N}$-graded vertex algebras $\oplus_{n=0}^{\infty}V_{(n)}$ such that $\dim V_{(0)}\geq 2$. Also, we examine the algebraic structure of $\mathbb{N}$-graded vertex algebras $V=\oplus_{n=0}^{\infty}V_{(n)}$ such that $\dim~V_{(0)}\geq 2$ and $V_{(1)}$ is a (semi)simple Leibniz algebra that has $sl_2$ as its Levi factor. On representations of dialgebras and conformal algebras

In this note, we observe a relation between dialgebras (in particular, Leibniz algebras) and conformal algebras. The purpose is to show how the methods of conformal algebras help solving problems on dialgebras, and, conversely, how the ideas of dialgebras work for conformal algebras.

Varieties of dialgebras and conformal algebras

For a given variety Var of algebras we define the variety Var of dialgebras. This construction turns to be closely related with varieties of pseudo-algebras: every Var-dialgebra can be embedded into an appropriate pseudo-algebra of the variety Var. In particular, Leibniz algebras are exactly Lie dialgebras, and every Leibniz algebra can be embedded into current Lie conformal algebra.

On higher order Leibniz identities in TCFT

We extend the algebra of local observables in topological conformal field theories by nonlocal operators. This allows to construct parameter-dependent operations realized via certain integrals over the compactified moduli spaces, satisfying analogues of the Leibniz and higher order Leibniz identities holding up to homotopy. We conjecture that one can construct a complete set of such operations which lead to a parameter-dependent version of Loday's homotopy Leibniz algebras.

Schrodinger-Virasoro Lie $H$-pseudoalgebras

Schrodinger-Virasoro Lie algebras are annihilation algebras of Lie conformal algebras of rank three, which are widely studied by mathematicians and physicists. Conformal algebras are also called H-pseudoalgebras, where H = k[s] is the polynomial algebra over a field k. In this article, we introduce and classify Schrodinger-Virasoro Lie H-pseudoalgebras. Meanwhile we also determine all Leibniz H-pseudoalgebras of rank two.

From Atiyah Classes to Homotopy Leibniz Algebras

A celebrated theorem of Kapranov states that the Atiyah class of the tangent bundle of a complex manifold $X$ makes $T_X[-1]$ into a Lie algebra object in $D^+(X)$, the bounded below derived category of coherent sheaves on $X$. Furthermore Kapranov proved that, for a Kähler manifold $X$, the Dolbeault resolution $Ω^{\bullet-1}(T_X^{1,0})$ of $T_X[-1]$ is an $L_\infty$ algebra. Quasiclassical Lian-Zuckerman Homotopy Algebras, Courant Algebroids and Gauge Theory

On the structure of $\mathbb{N}$-graded Vertex Operator Algebras

We consider the algebraic structure of $\mathbb{N}$-graded vertex operator algebras with conformal grading $V=\oplus_{n\geq 0} V_n$ and $\dim V_0\geq 1$. We prove several results along the lines that the vertex operators $Y(a, z)$ for $a$ in a Levi factor of the Leibniz algebra $V_1$ generate an affine Kac-Moody subVOA. If $V$ arises as a shift of a self-dual VOA of CFT-type, we show that $V_0$ has a `de Rham structure' with many of the properties of the de Rham cohomology of a complex connected manifold equipped with Poincaré duality.

The Witten genus and vertex algebras

This article is the first report of an ongoing project aimed at finding a geometric interpretation of the Witten genus and other tmf classes. Section 2 reviews the sheaves of chiral differential operators (CDOs) over a complex manifold, including their construction, obstructions and relation with the Witten genus. In section 3, the structure of each sheaf of CDOs is reorganized in terms of modules over the sheaf of holomorphic functions. This invokes the notion of a differential graded vertex algebroid. Vertex operator algebras associated to modified regular representations of affine Lie algebras

Let $G$ be a simple complex Lie group with Lie algebra $\mf g$ and let $\af$ be the affine Lie algebra. We use intertwining operators and Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations to construct a family of $\N$-graded vertex operator algebras associated to $\mf g$. They are $\af \oplus \af$-modules of dual levels $k, \bar k \notin \Q$ in the sense that $k + \bar k = -2 h^\vee$ where $h^\vee$ is the dual Coxeter number of $\mf g$.
