This paper deals with the approximation of the weak solutions of the incompressible Navier Stokes Fourier system. In particular it extends the artificial compressibility method for the Leray weak solutions of the Navier Stokes equation, used by Temam, in the case of a bounded domain and later in the case of the whole space. By exploiting the wave equation structure of the pressure of the approximating system the convergence of the approximating sequences is achieved by means of dispersive estimate of Strichartz type. It will be proved that the projection of the approximating velocity fields on the divergence free vectors is relatively compact and converges to a weak solution of the incompressible Navier Stokes Fourier system.
In this paper we will prove that suitable weak solutions of three dimensional Navier-Stokes equations in bounded domain can be constructed by a particular type of artificial compressibility approximation.
The Navier-Stokes-Maxwell-Stefan system describes the dynamics of an incompressible gaseous mixture in isothermal condition. In this paper we set up an artificial compressibility type approximation. In particular we focus on the existence of solution for the approximated system and the convergence to the incompressible case. We show that the Navier-Stokes as well as a random perturbation of this equation can be derived from a stochastic variational principle where the pressure is introduced as a Lagrange multiplier. Moreover we describe how to obtain corresponding constants of the motion.
In this paper, we rigorously derive the compressible one-fluid Navier-Stokes equation from the scaled compressible two-fluid Navier-Stokes-Maxwell equations locally in time under the assumption that the initial data are well prepared. We justify the singular limit by proving the uniform decay of the error system, which is obtained by elaborate energy estimates.
The three-dimensional Navier-Stokes-$α$ model for fast rotating geophysical fluids is considered. The Navier-Stokes-$α$ model is a nonlinear dispersive regularization of the exact Navier-Stokes equations obtained by Lagrangian averaging and tend to the Navier-Stokes equations as $α\rightarrow 0^+$. We estimate upper bounds for the dimensions of global attractors and study the dependence of the dimensions on the parameter $α$. All the estimates are uniform in $α$, and our estimate of attractor dimensions remain finite when $α\rightarrow 0^+$.
In this paper we prove that weak solution constructed by artificial compressibility method are suitable in the sense of Scheffer. Using Hilbertian setting and Fourier transform with respect to the time we obtain nontrivial estimates of the pressure and the time derivate which allow us to pass into the limit.
We study Caccioppoli's inequalities of the non-stationary Stokes equations and Navier-Stokes equations. Our analysis is local near boundary and we prove that, in contrast to the interior case, the Caccioppoli's inequalities of the Stokes equations and the Navier-Stokes equations, in general, fail near boundary.

An algebraic upper bound for the decay rate of solutions to the Navier-Stokes and Navier-Stokes-Coriolis equations in the critical space $\dot{H} ^{\frac{1}{2}} (\mathbb{R} ^3)$ is derived using the Fourier Splitting Method. Estimates are framed in terms of the decay character of initial data, leading to solutions with algebraic decay and showing in detail the roles played by the linear and nonlinear parts.
In this paper, we first prove the global well-posedness of a scaled anisotropic Navier-Stokes system and the hydrostatic Navier-Stokes system in a 2-D striped domain with small analytic data in the tangential variable. In this paper, we shall establish the global well-posedness, the space-time analyticity of the Navier-Stokes equations for a class of large periodic data $u_0 \in BMO^{-1}(\mathbb{R}^3)$. We study the stationary Stokes and Navier-Stokes equations with non-homogeneous Navier boundary condition in a bounded domain $Ω\subset\mathbb{R}^{3}$ of class $\mathcal{C}^{1,1}$. We prove existence, uniqueness of weak and strong solutions in $\mathbf{W}^{1,p}(Ω)$ and $\mathbf{W}^{2,p}(Ω)$ for all $1<p<\infty$ considering minimal regularity on the friction coefficient $α$. Moreover, we deduce uniform estimates on the solution with respect to $α$ which enables us to analyze the behavior of the solution when $α\rightarrow \infty$.

We discuss the regularity of solutions of 2D incompressible Navier-Stokes equations forced by singular forces. The problem is motivated by the study of complex fluids modeled by the Navier-Stokes equations coupled to a nonlinear Fokker-Planck equation describing microscopic corpora embedded in the fluid. This leads naturally to bounded added stress and hence to $W^{-1,\infty}$ forcing of the Navier-Stokes equations.

We obtain existence and conormal Sobolev regularity of strong solutions to the 3D compressible isentropic Navier-Stokes system on the half-space with a Navier boundary condition, over a time that is uniform with respect to the viscosity parameters when these are small. These solutions then converge globally and strongly in $L^2$ towards the solution of the compressible isentropic Euler system when the viscosity parameters go to zero.
In this paper we consider the inviscid limit for the periodic solutions to Navier-Stokes equation in the framework of Gevrey class. It is shown that the lifespan for the solutions to Navier-Stokes equation is independent of viscosity, and that the solutions of the Navier-Stokes equation converge to that of Euler equation in Gevrey class as the viscosity tends to zero. Moreover the convergence rate in Gevrey class is presented.

This paper is concerned with the existence and uniqueness of the strong solution to the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations with Navier-slip boundary conditions in a two-dimensional strip domain where the slip coefficients may not have defined sign. In the meantime, we also establish a number of Gagliardo-Nirenberg inequalities in the corresponding Sobolev spaces which will be applicable to other similar situations.
