In this article, we study the solutions of the damped Navier--Stokes equation with Navier boundary condition in a bounded domain $Ω$ in $\mathbb{R}^3$ with smooth boundary. The existence of the solutions is global with the damped term $\vartheta |u|^{β-1}u, \vartheta >0.$ The regularity and uniqueness of solutions with Navier boundary condition is also studied. This extends the existing results in literature.
In this paper, we shall establish the global well-posedness, the space-time analyticity of the Navier-Stokes equations for a class of large periodic data $u_0 \in BMO^{-1}(\mathbb{R}^3)$. This improves the classical result of Koch \& Tataru \cite{koch-tataru}, for the global well-posedness with small initial data $u_0 \in BMO^{-1}(\mathbb{R}^n)$.
We consider the damped and driven Navier--Stokes system with stress free boundary conditions and the damped Euler system in a bounded domain $Ω\subset\mathbf{R}^2$. We show that the damped Euler system has a (strong) global attractor in~$H^1(Ω)$. We also show that in the vanishing viscosity limit the global attractors of the Navier--Stokes system converge in the non-symmetric Hausdorff distance in $H^1(Ω)$ to the the strong global attractor of the limiting damped Euler system (whose solutions are not necessarily unique).
We consider finite energy solutions for the damped and driven two-dimensional Navier--Stokes equations in the plane and show that the corresponding dynamical system possesses a global attractor. This paper studies the incompressible limit of global strong solutions to the three-dimensional compressible Navier-Stokes equations associated with Navier's slip boundary condition, provided that the time derivatives, up to first order, of solutions are bounded initially. The main idea is to derive a differential inequality with decay, so that the estimates are bounded uniformly both in the Mach number 0<ε<=ε0 for some ε0>0 and the time t>=0.

We show that the limit solutions satisfy the incompressible Euler system based on the relative entropy inequality and on the detailed analysis for general initial data. The rate of convergence is estimated in terms of the Mach number.
This paper is concerned with the Rayleigh-Taylor instability for the nonhomogeneous incompressible Navier-Stokes equations with Navier-slip boundary conditions around a steady-state in an infinite slab, where the Navier-slip coefficients do not have defined sign and the slab is horizontally periodic. Motivated by [18], we extend the result from Dirichlet boundary condition to Navier-slip boundary conditions. Our results indicate the factor that "heavier density with increasing height" still plays a key role in the instability under Navier-slip boundary conditions.
In this paper, we give two family of explicit blowup solution for $3$D incompressible Navier-Stokes equations in $\RR^3$. Here one family of solutions admit the smooth initial data, and the initial data of another family of solutions are not smooth. The energy of those solutions is infinite.
In this paper we consider the motion of a rigid body in a viscous incompressible fluid when some Navier slip conditions are prescribed on the body's boundary. In this paper we derive a new energy identity for the three-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes equations by a special structure of helicity. The new energy functional is critical with respect to the natural scalings of the Navier-Stokes equations. Moreover, it is conditionally coercive. As an application we construct a family of finite energy smooth solutions to the Navier-Stokes equations whose critical norms can be arbitrarily large.
We shall prove dispersive and smoothing estimates for Bochner type laplacians on some non-compact Riemannian manifolds with negative Ricci curvature, in particular on hyperbolic spaces. These estimates will be used to prove Fujita-Kato type theorems for the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations. This paper concerns the instability and stability of the trivial steady states of the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations with Navier-slip boundary conditions in a slab domain in dimension two. The main results show that the stability (or instability) of this constant equilibrium depends crucially on whether the boundaries dissipate energy and the strengthen of the viscosity and slip length. In this paper we establish the uniform estimates of strong solutions with respect to the Mach number and the dielectric constant to the full compressible Navier-Stokes-Maxwell system in a bounded domain. Based on these uniform estimates, we obtain the convergence of the full compressible Navier-Stokes-Maxwell system to the incompressible magnetohydrodynamic equations for well-prepared data.
We consider the full Navier-Stokes-Fourier system in the singular limit for the small Mach and large Reynolds and Peclet numbers, with ill prepared initial data on the three dimensional Euclidean space. The Euler-Boussinesq approximation is identified as the limit system.
Without any smallness assumption, we prove the global unique solvability of the 2-D incompressible inhomogeneous Navier-Stokes equations with initial data in the critical Besov space, which is almost the energy space in the sense that they have the same scaling in terms of this 2-D system.
For the two-phase incompressible Navier--Stokes equations with surface tension, we derive an appropriate weak formulation incorporating a variational formulation using divergence-free test functions. We prove a consistency result to justify our definition and, under reasonable regularity assumptions, we reconstruct the pressure function from the weak formulation.

In this work we show that, in the class of $L^\infty((0,T);L^2(\mathbb{T}^3))$ distributional solutions of the incompressible Navier-Stokes system, the ones which are smooth in some open interval of times are meagre in the sense of Baire category, and the Leray ones are a nowhere dense set.
The paper studies the issue of stability of solutions to the Navier-Stokes and damped Euler systems in periodic boxes. We show that under action of fast oscillating-in- time external forces all two dimensional regular solutions converge to a time periodic flow. Unexpectedly, effects of stabilization can be also obtained for systems with stationary forces with large total momentum (average of the velocity). We prove that the incompressible, density dependent, Navier-Stokes equations are globally well posed in a low Froude number regime. The density is supposed to be increasing in depth and linearized around a stable state. Moreover if the Froude number tends to zero we prove that such system converges (strongly) to a two-dimensional, stratified Navier-Stokes system with full diffusivity. No smallness assumption is made on the initial data.
The global classical solution to the incompressible Navier-Stokes-Fourier equation with small initial data in the whole space is constructed through a zero Knudsen number limit from the solutions to the Boltzmann equation with general collision kernels. The key point is the uniform estimate of the Sobolev norm on the global solutions to the Boltzmann equation.

This paper addresses the three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations for an incompressible fluid whose density is permitted to be inhomogeneous. The inhomogeneous incompressible Navier-Stokes equations with fractional Laplacian dissipations in the multi-dimensional whole space are considered. The existence and uniqueness of global strong solution with vacuum are established for large initial data. The exponential decay-in-time of the strong solution is also obtained, which is different from the homogeneous case. The initial density may have vacuum and even compact support.
We establish the existence of a solution to the Navier-Stokes equations on a moving domain with surface tension in an optimal Sobolev space for the case of two space dimension. No compatibility conditions are required to guarantee the existence of a solution.
Liouville type of theorems play a key role in the blow-up approach to study the global regularity of the three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations. In this paper, we will prove Liouville type of theorems to the 3-D axisymmetric Navier-Stokes equations with swirls under some suitable assumptions on swirl component velocity $u_θ$ which are scaling invariant. It is known that $ru_θ$ satisfies the maximum principle. The assumptions on $u_θ$ will be natural and useful to make further studies on the global regularity to the three-dimensional incompressible axisymmetric Navier-Stokes equations.
In this paper, we are concerned with the well-posedness and large time behavior of Cauchy problem for 3D incompressible Navier-Stokes-Cahn-Hilliard equations. First, using Banach fixed point theorem, we establish the local well-posedness of solutions. Second, assuming $\|(u_0,\nablaϕ_0)\|_{\dot{H}^\frac12}$ is sufficiently small, we obtain the global well-posedness of solutions. Moreover, the optimal decay rates of the higher-order spatial derivatives of the solution are also obtained.
We study Boltzmann-Fermi-Dirac equation when quantum effects are taken into account in dilute gas dynamics. By employing new estimates on trilinear terms of collision kernels, we prove the global existence of the classical solution to Boltzmann-Fermi-Dirac equation near equilibrium. This paper concerns the low Mach number limit of weak solutions to the compressible Navier-Stokes equations for isentropic fluids in a bounded domain with a Navier-slip boundary condition. In \cite{DGLM99}, it has been proved that if the velocity is imposed the homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition, as the Mach number goes to 0, the velocity of the compressible flow converges strongly in $L^2$ under the geometrical assumption (H) on the domain. We justify the same strong convergence when the slip length in the Navier condition is the reciprocal of the square root of the Mach number.
In this paper, the global strong axisymmetric solutions for the inhomogeneous incompressible Navier-Stokes system are established in the exterior of a cylinder subject to the Dirichlet boundary conditions. Moreover, the vacuum is allowed in these solutions. One of the key ingredients of the analysis is to obtain the ${L^{2}(s,T;L^{\infty}(Ω))}$ bound for the velocity field, where the axisymmetry of the solutions plays an important role.
We consider the three-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes equation on the whole space. We observe that this system admits a $L^\infty$ family of global spatial plane wave solutions, which are connected with the two-dimensional equation. We study the inhomogeneous incompressible Navier-Stokes system endowed with a general capillary term. Thanks to recent methods based on Lagrangian change of variables, we obtain local well-posedness in critical Besov spaces (even if the integration index p is different from 2) and for variable viscosity and capillary terms. The present paper is dedicated to the global large solutions and incompressible limit for the compressible Navier-Stokes system in $\mathbb{R}^d$ with $d\ge 2$. We aim at extending the work by Danchin and Mucha (Adv. Math., 320, 904--925, 2017) in $L^2$ structure to that in a critical $L^p$ framework. The result implies the existence of global large solutions initially from large highly oscillating velocity fields.
We investigate the singularity formation of a 3D model that was recently proposed by Hou and Lei in [16] for axisymmetric 3D incompressible Navier-Stokes equations with swirl. The main difference between the 3D model of Hou and Lei and the reformulated 3D Navier-Stokes equations is that the convection term is neglected in the 3D model. In this paper we consider the Cauchy problem for the 3D Navier-Stokes equations for incompressible flows. The initial data are assumed to be smooth and rapidly decaying at infinity. A famous open problem is whether classical solutions can develop singularities in finite time. Assuming the maximum interval of existence to be finite, we give a unified discussion of various known solution properties as time approaches the blow-up time.
The existence of weak solutions to the "viscous incompressible fluid + rigid body" system with Navier slip-with-friction conditions in a 3D bounded domain has been recently proved by Gérard-Varet and Hillairet in \cite{exi:GeH}. In 2D for a fluid alone (without any rigid body) it is well-known since Leray that weak solutions are unique, continuous in time with $ L^{2} $ regularity in space and satisfy the energy equality.In this paper we prove that these properties also hold for the 2D "viscous incompressible fluid + rigid body" system.
We consider the inviscid limit of the stochastic damped 2D Navier- Stokes equations. We prove that, when the viscosity vanishes, the stationary solution of the stochastic damped Navier-Stokes equations converges to a stationary solution of the stochastic damped Euler equation and that the rate of dissipation of enstrophy converges to zero. In particular, this limit obeys an enstrophy balance. The rates are computed with respect to a limit measure of the unique invariant measure of the stochastic damped Navier-Stokes equations.
In two and three space dimensions, and under suitable assumptions on the initial data, we show global existence for a damped wave equation which approaches, in some sense, the Navier-Stokes problem. The proofs are based on a refined energy method. In this paper, we improve the results in two papers by Y. Brenier, R. Natalini and M. Puel and by M. Paicu and G. Raugel.
