We prove an $S_{3}$-symmetry of the Jacobi identity for intertwining operator algebras. Since this Jacobi identity involves the braiding and fusing isomorphisms satisfying the genus-zero Moore-Seiberg equations, our proof uses not only the basic properties of intertwining operators, but also the properties of braiding and fusing isomorphisms and the genus-zero Moore-Seiberg equations. Our proof depends heavily on the theory of multivalued analytic functions of several variables, especially the theory of analytic extensions.
We give an interpretation of the boson-fermion correspondence as a direct consequence of Jacobi-Trudi identity. This viewpoint enables us to construct from a generalized version of the Jacobi-Trudi identity the action of Clifford algebra on polynomial algebras that arrives as analogues of the algebra of symmetric functions. Vertex algebras in higher dimensions provide an algebraic framework for investigating axiomatic quantum field theory with global conformal invariance. We develop further the theory of such vertex algebras by introducing formal calculus techniques and investigating the notion of polylocal fields. We derive a Jacobi identity which together with the vacuum axiom can be taken as an equivalent definition of vertex algebra.

Our result states that if $E(1)=0,E^{2}=0$ and $Ω^{3}_{E}=0$ then a braided Jacobi identity holds and the linear map E is a braided derivation of a braided Lie algebra.

We study relationships between spinor representations of certain Lie algebras and Lie superalgebras of differential operators on the circle and values of $ζ$--functions at the negative integers.
