We deal with the distributions of holomorphic curves and integral points off divisors. We will simultaneouly prove an optimal dimension estimate from above of a subvariety W off a divisor D which contains a Zariski dense entire holomorphic curve, or a Zariski dense D-integral point set, provided that in the latter case everything is defined over a number field. Then, if the number of components of D is large, the estimate leads to the constancy of such a holomorphic curve or the finiteness of such an integral point set. At the begining, we extend logarithmic Bloch-Ochiai's Theorem to the Kaehler case.
We prove that to each almost periodic (in the sense of distributions) divisor in a tube one can assign a first Chern class of a special line bundle over Bohr's compact set generated by the divisor such that the trivial cohomology class represents divisors of all almost periodic holomorphic functions on a tube. This description yields various geometric conditions for an almost periodic divisor to be the divisor of a holomorphic almost periodic function. We also give a complete description for the divisors of homogeneous coordinates for holomorphic almost periodic curves; in particular, we obtai…
Recently, there are many developments on the second main theorem for holomorphic curves into algebraic varieties intersecting divisors in general position or subgeneral position. In this paper, we refine the concept of subgeneral position by introducing the notion of the index of subgeneral position. With this new notion we give some surprising improvement of the previous known second main theorem type results. Moreover, via the analogue between Nevanlinna theory and Diophantine approximation, the corresponding Schmidt's subspace type theorems are also established in the final section.
In this paper we study the problem of extension of holomorphic sections of line bundles/vector bundles from reduced unions of strata of divisors. An extension theorem of Ohsawa--Takegoshi type is proved. As consequences we deduce several qualitative results on extension from snc divisors and generic global generation of vector bundles.
We prove the existence of non-positively curved Kähler-Einstein metrics with cone singularities along a given simple normal crossing divisor on a compact Kähler manifold, under a technical condition on the cone angles, and we also discuss the case of positively-curved Kähler-Einstein metrics with cone singularities. As an application we extend to this setting classical results of Lichnerowicz and Kobayashi on the parallelism and vanishing of appropriate holomorphic tensor fields.
A notion of almost periodic current is introduced, as well as a notion of almost periodic holomorphic chain proceeded from that definition. Such a chain can be defined either as a special case of almost periodic currents or as a holomorphic chain whose trace measure is an almost periodic distribution. It is shown that in general situation almost periodicity of the trace of a current does not imply that for the current itself, even if it is closed and positive. The zero set (regarded as a holomorphic chain) of a holomorphic mapping can be represented as a Monge-Ampere type current, and one coul…
Grauert showed that it is possible to construct complete Kähler metrics on the complement of complex analytic sets in a domain of holomorphy. In this note, we study the holomorphic sectional curvatures of such metrics on the complement of a principal divisor in $\mathbb{C}^n$, $n \ge 1$. In addition, we also study how this metric and its holomorphic sectional curvature behaves when the corresponding principal divisors vary continuously.
Let X be a compact complex manifold whose anti-canonical line bundle is big. We show that X admits no non-trivial holomorphic vector fields if it is Gibbs stable (at any level). The proof is based on a vanishing result for measure preserving holomorphic vector fields on X of independent interest. As an application it shown that, in general, if the anti-canonical line bundle is big, there are no holomorphic vector fields on X that are tangent to a non-singular irreducible anti-canonical divisor S on X. More generally, the result holds for varieties with log terminal singularities and log pairs.…
In this article we completely determine the possible dimensions of integral points and holomorphic curves on the complement of a union of hyperplanes in projective space. Our main theorems generalize a result of Evertse and Gyory, who determined when all sets of integral points (over all number fields) on the complement of a union of hyperplanes are finite, and a result of Ru, who determined when all holomorphic maps to the complement of a union of hyperplanes are constant. The main tools used are the S-unit lemma and its analytic analogue, Borel's lemma.
We study germs of singular holomorphic vector fields at the origin of $\Bbb C^n$ of which the linear part is 1-resonant and which have a polynomial normal form. The formal normalizing diffeomorphism is usually divergent at the origin but there exists holomorphic diffeomorphisms in some "sectorial domains" which transform these vector fields into their normal form. In this article, we study the interplay between the small divisors phenomenon and the Gevrey character of the sectorial normalizing diffeomorphisms. We show that the Gevrey ordrer of the latter is linked to the diophantine type of th…
We establish a defect relation of holomorphic curves from a general open Riemann surface into a normal complex projective variety, with Zariski-dense image intersecting effective Cartier divisors.
In this paper we show that every complex hypersurface $A$ in a Stein manifold $X$ with $H^2(X;\mathbb Z)=0$ is the divisor of a holomorphic function $f$ on $X$ whose critical points are precisely the singular points of $A$. A similar result is proved for complete intersections of higher codimension.
Let $f: \mathbb{C} \to X$ be a transcendental holomorphic curve into a complex projective manifold $X$. Let $L$ be a very ample line bundle on $X$. Let $s$ be a very generic holomorphic section of $L$ and $D$ the zero divisor given by $s$. We prove that the \emph{geometric} defect of $D$ (defect of truncation $1$) with respect to $f$ is zero. We also prove that $f$ almost misses general enough analytic subsets on $X$ of codimension $2$.
In this paper, we prove a lemma on logarithmic derivative for holomorphic curves from annuli into Kähler compact manifold and. As its application, a second main theorem for holomophic curves from annuli into semi abelian varieties intersecting with only one divisor is given.
As a consequence of our recently established generalized Schmidt's subspace theorem for closed subschemes in general position, we prove a degeneracy theorem for integral points on the complement of a union of nef effective divisors. A novel aspect of our result is the attainment of a strong degeneracy conclusion (arithmetic quasi-hyperbolicity) under weak positivity assumptions on the divisors. The proof hinges on applying our recent theorem with a well-situated ample divisor realizing a certain lexicographical minimax. We also explore the connections with earlier work by other authors and mak…
We study families of rational curves on irreducible holomorphic symplectic varieties. We give a necessary and sufficient condition for a sufficiently ample linear system on a holomorphic symplectic variety of $K3^{[n]}$-type to contain a uniruled divisor covered by rational curves of primitive class. In particular, for any fixed $n$, we show that there are only finitely many polarization types of holomorphic symplectic variety of $K3^{[n]}$-type that do not contain such a uniruled divisor. As an application we provide a generalization of a result due to Beauville-Voisin on the Chow group of 0-…
We survey recent work and announce new results concerning two singular integral operators whose kernels are holomorphic functions of the output variable, specifically the Cauchy-Leray integral and the Cauchy-Szeg\H o projection associated to various classes of bounded domains in $\mathbb C^n$ with $n\geq 2$.
We prove estimates in Hölder spaces for some Cauchy-type integral operators representing holomorphic functions in Cartesian and symmetric products of planar domains. As a consequence, we obtain information on the boundary regularity in Hölder spaces of proper holomorphic maps between symmetric products of planar domains.
It is known that the classical Frobenius theorem on conditions of integrability for distributions of planes can be extended to the case of complex holomorphic distributions. We show that an alternative criterion for integrability, namely, non-connectivity, discovered (or at least, marked and explicitly formulated) by Carathéodory in relation to classical thermodynamics, also admits a holomorphic formulation.
We study the value distribution of holomorphic curves from a general open Riemann surface into a smooth logarithmic pair $(X, D).$ By stochastic calculus, we first obtain a version of tautological inequality (proposed by McQuillan) and a logarithmic derivative lemma. Then, one uses them to establish a Second Main Theorem of Nevanlinna theory for pair $(X, D)$ under certain conditions. Finally, we apply the Second Main Theorem to study the holomorphic curves from a general open Riemann surface into certain special moduli spaces of polarized Abelian varieties intersecting boundary divisors.
Let $\mathcal{H}ol(B_d)$ denote the space of holomorphic functions on the unit ball $B_d$ of $\mathbb{C}^d$, $d\ge 1$. Given a log-convex strictly positive weight $w(r)$ on $[0,1)$, we construct a function $f\in\mathcal{H}ol(B_d)$ such that the standard integral means $M_p(f, r)$ and $w(r)$ are equivalent for any $0<p\le\infty$. Also, we obtain similar results related to volume integral means.
The classical integral representation formulas for holomorphic functions defined on pseudoconvex domains in Stein manifolds play an important role in the constructive theory of functions of several complex variables. In this paper we construct similar formulas for cetain classes of holomorphic functions defined on coverings of such domains.
We show that in a holomorphic family of compact complex connected manifolds parametrized by an irreducible complex space $S$, assuming that on a dense Zariski open set $S^{*}$ in $S$ the fibres satisfy the $\partial\bar\partial-$lemma, the algebraic dimension of each fibre in this family is at least equal to the minimal algebraic dimension of the fibres in $S^{*}$. For instance, if each fibre in $S^{*}$ are Moishezon, then all fibres are Moishezon.
We introduce a model for Hermitian holormorphic Deligne cohomology on a projective algebraic manifold which allows to incorporate singular hermitian structures along a normal crossing divisor. In the case of a projective curve, the cup-product in cohomology is shown to correspond to a generalization of the Deligne pairing to line bundles with "good" hermitian metrics in the sense of Mumford and others. A particular case is that of the tangent bundle of the curve twisted by the negative of the singularity divisor of a hyperbolic metric: its cup square (corrected by the total area) is shown to b…
This note addresses monotonic growths and logarithmic convexities of the weighted ($(1-t^2)^αdt^2$, $-\infty<α<\infty$, $0<t<1$) integral means $\mathsf{A}_{α,β}(f,\cdot)$ and $\mathsf{L}_{α,β}(f,\cdot)$ of the mixed area $(πr^2)^{-β}A(f,r)$ and the mixed length $(2πr)^{-β}L(f,r)$ ($0\leβ\le 1$ and $0<r<1$) of $f(r\mathbb D)$ and $\partial f(r\mathbb D)$ under a holomorphic map $f$ from the unit disk $\mathbb D$ into the finite complex plane $\mathbb C$.
We compute the Hodge filtration on cohomology groups of complements of complex coordinate subspace arrangements. By means of this result we construct integral representations of holomorphic functions such that kernels of these representations have singularities on complex coordinate subspace arrangements.
Classic complex analysis is built on structural function $K=1$ only associated with Cauchy-Riemann equations, subsequently various generalizations of Cauchy-Riemann equations start to break this situation. The goal of this article is to show that only structural function $K=Const$ such that Liouville's theorem is held, otherwise, it's not valid any more on complex domain based on structural holomorphic, the correction should be $w=Φ{{e}^{-K}}$, where $Φ=Const$. Those theories in complex analysis which keep constant are unable to be held as constant in the framework of structural holomorphic. S…
Let $f$ be a $r\times m$-matrix of holomorphic functions that is generically surjective. We provide explicit integral representation of holomorphic $ψ$ such that $ϕ=fψ$, provided that $ϕ$ is holomorphic and annihilates a certain residue current with support on the set where $f$ is not surjective. We also consider formulas for interpolation. As applications we obtain generalizations of various results previously known for the case $r=1$.
Let $Ω\Subset\mathbb{C}^{n}$ be a domain with smooth boundary, $k\in\mathbb{N}$. It is shown that the integral of a holomorphic function in $L^1(Ω)$ may be represented as the integral of this function against a smooth function vanishing to order $k-1$ on $bΩ$. An application for a smoothing property of the Bergman projection for conjugate holomorphic functions is given.
We establish the second main theorem with the best truncation level one for an entire holomorphic curve $f:\C \to A$ into a semi-abelian variety $A$ and an arbitrary effective reduced divisor $D$ on $A$; the low truncation level is important for applications. We will actually prove this for the jet lifts of $f$. Finally we give some applications, including the solution of a problem posed by Mark Green.
In this article we study deformations of a holomorphic foliation with a generic non-rational first integral in the complex plane. We consider two vanishing cycles in a regular fiber of the first integral with a non-zero self intersection and with vanishing paths which intersect each other only at their start points. It is proved that if the deformed holonomies of such vanishing cycles commute then the deformed foliation has also a first integral. Our result generalizes a similar result of Ilyashenko on the rigidity of holomorphic foliations with a persistent center singularity. The main tools …
