Let A be a finite dimensional, unital, and associative algebra which is endowed with a non-degenerate and invariant inner product. We give an explicit description of an action of cyclic Sullivan chord diagrams on the normalized Hochschild cochain complex of A. As a corollary, the Hochschild cohomology of A becomes a Frobenius algebra which is endowed with a compatible BV operator. If A is also commutative, then the discussion extends to an action of general Sullivan chord diagrams. Some implications of this are discussed.

A cyclic cohomology theory adapted to Hopf algebras has been introduced recently by Connes and Moscovici. In this paper, we compute the cyclic homology of the Taft algebras and of their Auslander algebras. Given a Hopf algebra $Λ,$ the Grothendieck groups of projective $Λ-$modules and of all $Λ-$modules are endowed with a ring structure, which in the case of the Taft algebras is commutative (\cite{C2}, \cite{G}). We also describe the first Chern character for these algebras.

An arbitrary Leibniz algebra can be embedded in a differential graded Lie algebra via the derived bracket construction. Such an embedding is called a derived bracket representation. We will construct the universal version of the derived bracket representation, prove that the principal part of the target dg Lie algebra defines a subcomplex of Leibniz (co)homology complex and that the existence of the subcomplex is a reflection of the anti-cyclicity of the Leibniz operad.
First we describe a class of homotopy Frobenius algebras via cyclic operads which we call cyclic $A_\infty$ algebras. We will consider P-graph complexes, where P is a cyclic operad. P-graph complexes are natural generalizations of Kontsevich's graph complexes -- for P = the operad for associative algebras it is the complex of ribbon graphs, for P = the operad for commutative associative algebras, the complex of all graphs. We present an approach to cyclic homology of A_{\infty} algebras. Our main technical tool is the concept of X-complex due to Cuntz and Quillen. This, in particular, enables us to compute the periodic cyclic homology of an A_{\infty} algebra in terms of the periodic cyclic homology of its homology.

The cyclic (co)homology of Hopf algebras is defined by Connes and Moscovici [math.DG/9806109] and later extended by Khalkhali et.al [math.KT/0306288] to admit stable anti-Yetter-Drinfeld coefficient module/comodules. In this paper we will show that one can further extend the cyclic homology of Hopf algebras with coefficients non-trivially. The new homology, called the bialgebra cyclic homology, admits stable coefficient module/comodules, dropping the anti-Yetter-Drinfeld condition. The goal of this article is to explicitly compute the Hochschild (co)homology of the Fomin-Kirillov algebra on three generators over a field of characteristic different from 2 and 3. In this paper, we establish the invariance of cyclic (co)homology of left Hopf algebroids under the change of Morita equivalent base algebras. Let A be the central extension of the preprojective algebra of an ADE quiver introduced by P. Etingof and E. Rains in math/0503393. The paper math/0606403 computes the structure of the zeroth Hochschild (co)homology of A. We generalize the results of math/0606403 by calculating the additive structure of all the Hochschild homology and cohomology groups of A and the cyclic homology of A, and to describe the universal deformation of A. Namely, we show that the (co)homology is periodic with period 4, and compute the first four (co)homology groups in each case.

For any strong smash product algebra $A\#_{_R}B$ of two algebras $A$ and $B$ with a bijective morphism $R$ mapping from $B\ot A$ to $A\ot B$, we construct a cylindrical module $A\natural B$ whose diagonal cyclic module $Δ_{\bullet}(A\natural B)$ is graphically proven to be isomorphic to $C_{\bullet}(A\#_{_R}B)$ the cyclic module of the algebra. A spectral sequence is established to converge to the cyclic homology of $A\#_{_R}B$. Examples are provided to show how our results work. Particularly, the cyclic homology of the Pareigis' Hopf algebra is obtained in the way.
We define equivariant periodic cyclic homology for bornological quantum groups. Generalizing corresponding results from the group case, we show that the theory is homotopy invariant, stable and satisfies excision in both variables. Along the way we prove Radfords formula for the antipode of a bornological quantum group. Moreover we discuss anti-Yetter-Drinfeld modules and establish an analogue of the Takesaki-Takai duality theorem in the setting of bornological quantum groups.

We calculate the twisted Hochschild and cyclic homology (in the sense of Kustermans, Murphy and Tuset) of all Podles quantum spheres relative to arbitary automorphisms. Our calculations are based on a free resolution due to Masuda, Nakagami and Watanabe. Let $M$ be an exact symplectic manifold with contact type boundary such that $c_1(M)=0$. In this paper we show that the cyclic cohomology of the Fukaya category of $M$ has the structure of an involutive Lie bialgebra. Inspired by a work of Cieliebak-Latschev we show that there is a Lie bialgebra homomorphism from the linearized contact homology of $M$ to the cyclic cohomology of the Fukaya category. We study a noncommutative version of the infinitesimal site of Grothendieck. A theorem of Grothendieck establishes that the cohomology of the structure sheaf on the infinitesimal topology of a scheme of characteristic zero is de Rham cohomology. We prove that, for the noncommutative infinitesimal topology of an associative algebra over a field of characteristic zero, the cohomology of the structure sheaf modulo commutators is periodic cyclic cohomology. We present a new approach to cyclic homology that does not involve the Connes differential and is based on a `noncommutative equivariant de Rham complex' of an associative algebra.
