Multiplicity freeness of unitary representations in sections of holomorphic Hilbert bundles

We prove several results asserting that the action of a Banach-Lie group on Hilbert spaces of holomorphic sections of a holomorphic Hilbert space bundle over a complex Banach manifold is multiplicity free. These results require the existence of compatible antiholomorphic bundle maps and certain multiplicity freeness assumptions for stabilizer groups. For the group action on the base, the notion of an $(S,σ)$-weakly visible action (generalizing T.Koboyashi's visible actions) provides an effective way to express the assumptions in an economical fashion. Multiplicity one Theorems

In the local, characteristic 0, non archimedean case, we consider distributions on GL(n+1) which are invariant under the adjoint action of GL(n). We prove that such distributions are invariant by transposition. This implies that an admissible irreducible representation of GL(n+1), when restricted to GL(n) decomposes with multiplicity one. Similar Theorems are obtained for orthogonal or unitary groups.

Action-angle coordinates on coadjoint orbits and multiplicity free spaces from partial tropicalization

Coadjoint orbits and multiplicity free spaces of compact Lie groups are important examples of symplectic manifolds with Hamiltonian groups actions. Constructing action-angle variables on these spaces is a challenging task. Momentum polytopes of rank one for multiplicity free quasi-Hamiltonian manifolds

We classify all momentum polytopes of rank one for multiplicity free quasi-Hamiltonian $K$-manifolds for simple and simply connected Lie groups $K$ by using the methods developed in a recent paper by F. Knop. This leads to lots of new concrete examples of multiplicity free quasi-Hamiltonian manifolds or equivalently, Hamiltonian loop group actions.

Multiplicity one Conjectures

In the first part, in the local non archimedean case, we consider distributions on GL(n+1) which are invariant under the adjoint action of GL(n). We reduce ourselves to distributions with "singular" support and then finish the proof for n< 9. Stein manifolds and multiplicity-free representations of compact Lie groups

The paper is a survey of recent results in geometric representation theory describing group actions which induce multiplicity-free representations in the spaces of holomorphic functions. For connected compact Lie groups of automorphisms of Stein manifolds we characterize such actions in terms of antiholomorphic involutions. Some proofs are given and some results are new. Automorphisms of multiplicity free Hamiltonian manifolds

We compute the sheaf of automorphisms of a multiplicity free Hamiltonian manifold over its momentum polytope and show that its higher cohomology groups vanish. Together with a theorem of Losev, arXiv:math/0612561, this implies a conjecture of Delzant: a compact multiplicity free Hamiltonian manifold is uniquely determined by its momentum polytope and its principal isotropy group.

Moduli of affine schemes with reductive group action

For a connected reductive group G and a finite-dimensional G-module V, we study the invariant Hilbert scheme that parameterizes closed G-stable subschemes of V affording a fixed, multiplicity-finite representation of G in their coordinate ring. We construct an action on this invariant Hilbert scheme of a maximal torus T of G, together with an open T-stable subscheme admitting a good quotient. The fibers of the quotient map classify affine G-schemes having a prescribed categorical quotient by a maximal unipotent subgroup of G. Multiplicity free quasi-Hamiltonian manifolds

A (quasi-)Hamiltonian manifold is called multiplicity free if all of its symplectic reductions are 0-dimensional. In this paper, we classify multiplicity free Hamiltonian actions for (twisted) loop groups or, equivalently, multiplicity free (twisted) quasi-Hamiltonian manifolds for simply connected compact Lie groups. As a result we recover old and find new examples of these structures.

Multiplicity-free primitive ideals associated with rigid nilpotent orbits

We prove that any finite W-algebra U(g,e) admits a one-dimensional representation fixed by the action of the component group of the centraliser of e. As a consequence, for any nilpotent orbit O in g there exists a multiplicity-free (and hence completely prime) primitive ideal of the universal enveloping algebra U(g) whose associated variety coincides with the Zariski closure of O.

Propagation of multiplicity-freeness property for holomorphic vector bundles

We give a complete proof of a propagation theorem of multiplicity-free property from fibers to spaces of global sections for holomorphic vector bundles. The propagation theorem is formalised in three ways, aiming for producing various multiplicity-free theorems in representation theory for both finite and infinite dimensional cases in a systematic and synthetic manner. The key geometric condition in our theorem is an orbit-preserving anti-holomorphic diffeomorphism on the base space, which brings us to the concept of visible actions on complex manifolds.
