Fix a prime N, and consider the action of the Hecke operator T_N on the space M_k(SL(2,Z)) of modular forms of full level and varying weight k. The coefficients of the matrix of T_N with respect to the basis {E_4^i E_6^j | 4i + 6j = k} for M_k(SL(2,Z)) can be combined for varying k into a generating function F_N. We show that this generating function is a rational function for all N, and present a systematic method for computing F_N. We carry out the computations for N = 2, 3, 5, and indicate and discuss generalizations to spaces of modular forms of arbitrary level.
We calculate the effect of simple Hecke operators on u-expansions of higher rank Drinfeld modular forms, the eigenvalue for the Drinfeld discriminant function $Δ_t$ and show that a certain natural class of Hecke operators is completely multiplicative.
We consider the action of Hecke-type operators on Hilbert-Siegel theta series attached to lattices of even rank. We show that average Hilbert-Siegel theta series are eigenforms for these operators, and we explicitly compute the eigenvalues.
We consider the problem of defining an action of Hecke operators on the coherent cohomology of certain integral models of Shimura varieties. We formulate a general conjecture describing which Hecke operators should act integrally and solve the conjecture in certain cases. As a consequence, we obtain $p$-adic estimates of Satake parameters of certain non-regular self dual automorphic representations of $\mathrm{GL}_n$.
We prove that Cohen's Maass wave form and Li-Ngo-Rhoades' Maass wave form are Hecke eigenforms with respect to certain Hecke operators. As a corollary, we find new identities of the $p$th coefficients of these Maass wave forms in terms of $p$th root of unities.
We outline an algorithm for computing Hecke operators on equivariant cohomology $H^\ast_{Γ_{\text{Sp}}}(X_{\text{Sp}};ρ)$ for the symplectic group $\text{Sp}_4(\mathbb{R})$. To do this, we define a new acyclic cell complex for $\text{Sp}_4(\mathbb{R})$ and make use of the well-tempered complex.
We correct a mistake in \cite{St} leading to erroneous formulas in Theorems 5.2 and 5.4. As an immediate corollary of a formula in \cite{BCJ} we give a formula, which relates the Hecke operators $T(p^2)\circ T(p^{2l-2})$, $T(p^{2l})$ and $T(p^{2l-4})$ and comment on it.
For a prime number $q\geq 5$ and a positive integer $N$ prime to $q$, Ribet proved the action of the Hecke algebra on the component group of the Jacobian variety of the modular curve of level $Nq$ at $q$ is "Eisenstein", which means the Hecke operator $T_\ell$ acts by $\ell+1$ when $\ell$ is a prime number not dividing the level. In this paper, we completely compute the action of the Hecke algebra on this component group by a careful study of supersingular points with extra automorphisms.
We explore a natural action of Hecke operators acting on formal sums of optimal embeddings of real quadratic orders into Eichler orders. By associating an optimal embedding to its root geodesic on the corresponding Shimura curve, we can consider the signed intersection number of pairs of embeddings. Using the Hecke operators and the intersection pairing, we construct a generating series that is demonstrated to be a classical modular form of weight two.
Let $ϕ$ be a Laplace eigenfunction on a compact hyperbolic surface attached to an order in a quaternion algebra. Assuming that $ϕ$ is an eigenfunction of Hecke operators at a \emph{fixed finite} collection of primes, we prove an $L^\infty$-norm bound for $ϕ$ that improves upon the trivial estimate by a power of the logarithm of the eigenvalue. We have constructed an amplifier whose length depends on the support of the amplifier on Hecke trees. We have used a method of Bérard in \cite{Be} to improve the archimedean amplification.
