Hecke operators and Q-groups associated to self-adjoint homogeneous cones

Let G be a reductive algebraic group associated to a self-adjoint homogeneous cone defined over Q, and let G' be an appropriate neat arithmetic subgroup of G. We present two algorithms to compute the action of the Hecke operators on the integral cohomology of G'. This simultaneously generalizes the modular algorithm of Ash-Rudolph to a larger class of groups, and provides techniques to compute the Hecke-module structure of previously inaccessible cohomology groups.

Kneser-Hecke-operators in coding theory

The Kneser-Hecke-operator is a linear operator defined on the complex vector space spanned by the equivalence classes of a family of self-dual codes of fixed length. It maps a linear self-dual code $C$ over a finite field to the formal sum of the equivalence classes of those self-dual codes that intersect $C$ in a codimension 1 subspace. The eigenspaces of this self-adjoint linear operator may be described in terms of a coding-theory analogue of the Siegel $Φ$-operator.

Correspondences in Arakelov geometry and applications to the case of Hecke operators on modular curves

In the context of arithmetic surfaces, Bost defined a generalized Arithmetic Chow Group (ACG) using the Sobolev space L^2_1. We study the behavior of these groups under pull-back and push-forward and we prove a projection formula. We use these results to define an action of the Hecke operators on the ACG of modular curves and to show that they are self-adjoint with respect to the arithmetic intersection product. For a cuspidal Hecke eigenform g in the Kohnen plus subspace of weight k-n/2+1/2 and level 4, let I(g) be the Duke-Imamoglu-Ikeda lift of g in the space of cusp forms of weight k for Sp(n,Z), and f the primitive form of weight 2k-n for SL(2,Z) corresponding to g under the Shimura correspondence. Modular symbols for Q-rank one groups and Voronoi reduction

We present an algorithm to compute the action of the Hecke operators on the top dimensional integral cohomology of certain torsion-free arithmetic subgroups of algebraic groups of Q-rank one. This generalizes the modular symbol algorithm to a setting including Bianchi groups and Hilbert modular groups. In addition, we generalize some results of Voronoi for real positive-definite quadratic forms to self-adjoint homogeneous cones of arbitrary Q-rank.

Functorial properties of pro-$p$-Iwahori cohomology

Suppose $F$ is a finite extension of $\mathbb{Q}_p$, $G$ is the group of $F$-points of a connected reductive $F$-group, and $I_1$ is a pro-$p$-Iwahori subgroup of $G$.
