Let O\_K be a complete discrete valuation ring. Denote by K its fractions field and by k its residue field. Assume that k is of characteristic p>0 and perfect. Breuil gives an anti-equivalence between the category of finite flat O\_K-group schemes killed by a power of p and a category of linear algebra objects which is called (Mod/S). The aim of this article is to make explicit the Cartier duality on the category (Mod/S).
We prove that the category of (rigidified) Breuil-Kisin-Fargues modules up to isogeny is Tannakian. We then introduce and classify Breuil-Kisin-Fargues modules with complex multiplication mimicking the classical theory for rational Hodge structures. In particular, we compute an avatar of a "p-adic Serre group".
In the work we have considered Breuil-Kisin module over the ring of witt vectors $W(κ)$ over the residue field $κ$ of characteristic $p$ and a finite flat $\mathbb{Z}_p$-algebra $R$. Then considered Breuil-Kisin modules $M$ over the ring $W(κ)$ and taking the action of $R$ on $W(κ)$, we get again a Breuil-Kisin module $M$ over the ring $R \otimes_{\mathbb{Z}_p} W(κ)$. We have studied freeness and projectiveness of this module.
Let p be a rational prime and K/Q_p be an extension of complete discrete valuation fields. Let G be a truncated Barsotti-Tate group of level n, height h and dimension d over O_K with 0<d<h. In this paper, we prove the existence of higher canonical subgroups with expected properties for G if the Hodge height of G is less than 1/(p^{n-2}(p+1)), including the case of p=2.
For $K$ an extension of $\mathbb{Q}_{p}$ with ring of integers $R$ we show how Breuil-Kisin modules can be used to determine Hopf orders in $K$-Hopf algebras of $p$-power dimension. We find all cyclic Breuil-Kisin modules, and use them to compute all of the Hopf orders in the group ring $KΓ$ where $Γ$ is cyclic of order $p$ or $p^{2}.$ We also give a Laurent series interpretation of the Breuil-Kisin modules that give these Hopf orders.
Let p>2 be a rational prime and K/Q_p be an extension of complete discrete valuation fields. Let G be a truncated Barsotti-Tate group of level n, height h and dimension d over O_K with 0<d<h. In this paper, we show that an upper ramification subgroup G^j+ is free of rank d over Z/p^nZ if the Hasse invariant of G is less than 1/(2p^(n-1)). We also prove the usual properties as the canonical subgroup.
In this article, we apply the methods of our work on Fontaine's theory in equal characteristics to the $φ/\mathfrak S$-modules of Breuil and Kisin. Thanks to a previous article of Kisin, this yields a new and rather elementary proof of the theorem "weakly admissible implies admissible" of Colmez-Fontaine.
For a perfect field $k$ of characteristic $p>0$ and a smooth and proper formal scheme $\mathscr{X}$ over the ring of integers of a finite and totally ramified extension $K$ of $W(k)[1/p]$, we propose a cohomological construction of the Breuil-Kisin modules attached to the $p$-adic étale cohomology $H^i_{\mathrm{ét}}(\mathscr{X}_{\overline{K}},\mathbf{Z}_p)$. We then prove that our proposal works when $p>2$, $i < p-1$, and the crystalline cohomology of the special fiber of $\mathscr{X}$ is torsion-free in degrees $i$ and $i+1$.
Let $p$ be a prime number, $K$ a finite unramified extension of $\mathbb{Q}_p$ and $\mathbb{F}$ a finite extension of $\mathbb{F}_p$. For $\overlineρ$ any reducible two-dimensional representation of $\operatorname{Gal}(\overline{K}/K)$ over $\mathbb{F}$, we compute explicitly the associated étale $(φ,\mathcal{O}_K^{\times})$-module $D_A^{\otimes}(\overlineρ)$ defined by Breuil-Herzig-Hu-Morra-Schraen. Then we let $π$ be an admissible smooth representation of $\operatorname{GL}_2(K)$ over $\mathbb{F}$ occurring in some Hecke eigenspaces of the mod $p$ cohomology and $\overlineρ$ be its underlyi…
Let p be an odd prime. We show that the classification of p-divisible groups by Breuil windows and the classification of finite flat group schemes of p-power order by Breuil modules hold over any complete regular local ring with perfect residue field of characteristic p. We use a formalism of frames and windows with an abstract deformation theory that applies to Breuil windows.
Let $K$ be a mixed characteristic complete discrete valuation field with residue field admitting a finite $p$-basis, and let $G_K$ be the Galois group. We first classify semi-stable representations of $G_K$ by weakly admissible filtered $(φ,N)$-modules with connections. We then construct a fully faithful functor from the category of \emph{integral} semi-stable representations of $G_K$ to the category of Breuil-Kisin $G_K$-modules. Using the integral theory, we classify $p$-divisible groups over the ring of integers of $K$ by minuscule Breuil-Kisin modules with connections.
Let $p$ be a prime number and $K$ a finite unramified extension of $\mathbb{Q}_p$. Let $π$ be an admissible smooth mod $p$ representation of $\mathrm{GL}_2(K)$ occurring in some Hecke eigenspaces of the mod $p$ cohomology and $\overline{r}$ be its underlying global two-dimensional Galois representation. When $\overline{r}$ satisfies some Taylor-Wiles hypotheses and is sufficiently generic at $p$, we compute explicitly certain constants appearing in the diagram associated to $π$, generalizing the results of Dotto-Le. As a result, we prove that the associated étale $(φ,\mathcal{O}_K^{\times})$-m…
Let $K$ be a discrete valuation field with perfect residue field, we study the functor from weakly admissible filtered $(φ,N,G_K)$-modules over $K$ to the isogeny category of Breuil-Kisin-Fargues $G_K$-modules. This functor is the composition of a functor defined by Fargues-Fontaine from weakly admissible filtered $(φ,N,G_K)$-modules to $G_K$-equivariant modifications of vector bundles over the Fargues-Fontaine curve $X_{FF}$, with the functor of Fargues-Scholze that between the category of admissible modifications of vector bundles over $X_{FF}$ and the isogeny category of Breuil-Kisin-Fargue…
On a locally Noetherian scheme X over a field of positive characteristic p we study the category of coherent O_X-modules M equipped with a p^{-e}-linear map, i.e. an additive map C: O_X \to O_X satisfying rC(m)=C(r^{p^e}m) for all m in M, r in O_X. The notion of nilpotence, meaning that some power of the map C is zero, is used to rigidify this category. The resulting quotient category, called Cartier crystals, satisfies some strong finiteness conditions. The main reasult in this paper states that, if the Frobenius morphism on X is a finite map, i.e. if X is F-finite, then all Cartier crystals …
Assume that $p>2$, and let $\mathscr{O}_K$ be a $p$-adic discrete valuation ring with residue field admitting a finite $p$-basis, and let $R$ be a formally smooth formally finite-type $\mathscr{O}_K$-algebra. (Indeed, we allow slightly more general rings $R$.) We construct an anti-equivalence of categories between the categories of $p$-divisible groups over $R$ and certain semi-linear algebra objects which generalise $(φ,\mathfrak{S})$-modules of height $\leqslant1$ (or Kisin modules). A similar classification result for $p$-power order finite flat group schemes is deduced from the classificat…
For an $F$-finite scheme $X$ separated over a perfect field $k$ of characteristic $p>0$ which admits an embedding into a smooth $k$-scheme, we establish an equivalence between the bounded derived categories of Cartier crystals on $X$ and constructible $\mathbb{Z}/p\mathbb{Z}$-sheaves on the étale site $X_{\text{ét}}$. The key intermediate step is to extend the category of locally finitely generated unit $\mathcal{O}_{F,X}$-modules for smooth schemes introduced by Emerton and Kisin to embeddable schemes. On the one hand, this category is equivalent to Cartier crystals. On the other hand, by usi…
Let $p>3$ be a prime number and let $G_{\mathbb{Q}_p}$ be the absolute Galois group of $\mathbb{Q}_p$. In this paper, we find Galois stable lattices in the irreducible $3$-dimensional semi-stable and non-crystalline representations of $G_{\mathbb{Q}_p}$ with Hodge--Tate weights $(0,1,2)$ by constructing their strongly divisible modules. We also compute the Breuil modules corresponding to the mod $p$ reductions of the strongly divisible modules, and determine which of the semi-stable representations has an absolutely irreducible mod $p$ reduction.
We prove R = T theorems for certain reducible residual Galois representations. We answer in the positive a question of Gross and Lubin on whether certain Hecke algebras T are discrete valuation rings. In order to prove these results we determine (using the theory of Breuil modules) when two finite flat group schemes G and H of order p over an arbitrarily tamely ramified discrete valuation ring admit an extension not killed by p.
Let O_K be a discrete valuation ring of mixed characteristics (0,p), with residue field k. Using work of Sekiguchi and Suwa, we construct some finite flat O_K-models of the group scheme μ_{p^n,K} of p^n-th roots of unity, which we call Kummer group schemes. We set carefully the general framework and algebraic properties of this construction. When k is perfect and O_K is a complete totally ramified extension of the ring of Witt vectors W(k), we provide a parallel study of the Breuil-Kisin modules of finite flat models of μ_{p^n,K}, in such a way that the construction of Kummer groups and Breuil…
For a prime number p>2, we give a direct proof of Breuil's classification of killed by p finite flat group schemes over the valuation ring of a p-adic field with perfect residue field. As application we prove that the Galois modules of geometric points of such group schemes and of their characteristic p analogues coming from Faltings's strict modules can be identified via the Fontaine-Wintenberger field-of-norms functor.
Let $G$ be a $p$-adic reductive group and $\mathfrak{g}$ its Lie algebra. We construct a functor from the extension closure of the Bernstein-Gelfand-Gelfand category $\mathcal{O}$ associated to $\mathfrak{g}$ into the category of locally analytic representations of $G$, thereby expanding on an earlier construction of Orlik-Strauch. A key role in this new construction is played by $p$-adic logarithms on tori. This functor is shown to be exact with image in the subcategory of admissible representations in the sense of Schneider and Teitelbaum. En route, we establish some basic results in the the…
This paper is a summary of author's results on finite flat commutative group schemes. The properties of the generic fibre functor are discussed. A complete classification of finite local flat commutative group schemes over mixed characteristic complete discrete valuation rings in terms of their Cartier modules (defined by Oort) is given. We also state several properties of tangent space of these schemes. These results are applied to the study of reduction of Abelian varieties. A finite $p$-adic semistable reduction criterion is formulated. It looks especially nice in the ordinary reduction cas…
