In this note we prove certain necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of an embedding of statistical manifolds. In particular, we prove that any compact smooth ($C^1$ resp.) statistical manifold can be embedded into the space of probability measures on a finite set. As a result, we get an answer to the Lauritzen question on a realization of smooth ($C^1$ resp.) statistical manifolds as statistical models
In the first part of the present series of papers, we studied the moduli spaces of holomorphic discs and strips into an open symplectic manifold, isomorphic to the complement of a smooth divisor in a closed symplectic manifold. In particular, we introduced a compactification of this moduli space, which is called the RGW compactification. The goal of this paper is to show that the RGW compactifications admit Kuranishi structures. This result provides the crucial ingredient for the main construction of this series of papers: Floer homology for monotone Lagrangians in a smooth divisor complement.
We consider a compact connected CR manifold with a transversal CR locally free $\mathbb R$-action endowed with a rigid positive CR line bundle. We prove that a certain weighted Fourier-Szegő kernel of the CR sections in the high tensor powers admits a full asymptotic expansion and we establish $\mathbb R$-equivariant Kodaira embedding theorem for CR manifolds. Using similar methods we also establish an analytic proof of an $\mathbb R$-equivariant Boutet de Monvel embedding theorem for strongly pseudoconvex CR manifolds. In particular, we obtain equivariant embedding theorems for irregular Sasa…
We prove a definable version of the Whitney embedding theorem for abstract-definable $\mathcal{C}^p$ manifolds with $1\leq p<\infty$, namely: every abstract-definable $\mathcal{C}^p$ manifold is abstract-definable $C^p$ embedded into $R^N$, for some positive integer $N$. As a consequence, we show that every abstract-definable $\mathcal{C}^p$ manifold has a compatible $\mathcal{C}^{p+1}$ atlas.
Let $X$ be a CR manifold with transversal, proper CR $G$-action. We show that $X/G$ is a complex space such that the quotient map is a CR map. Moreover the quotient is universal, i.e. every invariant CR map into a complex manifold factorises uniquely over a holomorphic map on $X/G$. We then use this result and complex geometry to proof an embedding theorem for (non-compact) strongly pseudoconvex CR manifolds with transversal $G \rtimes S^1$-action. The methods of the proof are applied to obtain a projective embedding theorem for compact CR manifolds.
We prove that any arithmetic hyperbolic $n$-manifold of simplest type can either be geodesically embedded into an arithmetic hyperbolic $(n+1)$-manifold or its universal $\mathrm{mod}~2$ Abelian cover can.
Given a compact quantizable pseudo-Kähler manifold $(M,ω)$ of constant signature, there exists a Hermitian line bundle $(L,h)$ over $M$ with curvature $-2πi\,ω$. We shall show that the asymptotic expansion of the Bergman kernels for $L^{\otimes k}$-valued $(0,q)$-forms implies more or less immediately a number of analogues of well-known results, such as Kodaira embedding theorem and Tian's almost-isometry theorem.
What is the suitable Laplace operator on vector fields for the Navier-Stokes equation on a Riemannian manifold? In this note, by considering Nash embedding, we will try to elucidate different aspects of different Laplace operators such as de Rham-Hodge Laplacian as well as Ebin-Marsden's Laplacian. A probabilistic representation formula for Navier-Stokes equations on a general compact Riemannian manifold is obtained when de Rham-Hodge Laplacian is involved. MSC 2010: 35Q30, 58J65

Convolutions are fundamental elements in deep learning architectures. Here, we present a theoretical framework for combining extrinsic and intrinsic approaches to manifold convolution through isometric embeddings into tori. In this way, we define a convolution operator for a manifold of arbitrary topology and dimension. We also explain geometric and topological conditions that make some local definitions of convolutions which rely on translating filters along geodesic paths on a manifold, computationally intractable. A result of Alan Turing from 1938 underscores the need for such a toric isome…
Informally, ${\mathbb Z}_2^n$-manifolds are 'manifolds' with ${\mathbb Z}_2^n$-graded coordinates and a sign rule determined by the standard scalar product of their ${\mathbb Z}_2^n$-degrees. Such manifolds can be understood in a sheaf-theoretic framework, as supermanifolds can, but with significant differences, in particular in integration theory. In this paper, we reformulate the notion of a ${\mathbb Z}_2^n$-manifold within a categorical framework via the functor of points. We show that it is sufficient to consider ${\mathbb Z}_2^n$-points, i.e., trivial ${\mathbb Z}_2^n$-manifolds for whic…
