We present explicit descriptions of the crystals $\mathcal{B}(\infty)$ and $\mathcal{B}(λ)$ over special linear Lie algebras in the language of \emph{extended Nakajima monomials}. There is a natural correspondence between the monomial description and Young tableau realization, which is another realization of crystals $\mathcal{B}(\infty)$ and $\mathcal{B}(λ)$.
Nakajima introduced the morphism of q,t-characters for finite dimensional representation of simply-laced quantum affine algebras : it is a t-deformation of the Frenkel-Reshetikhin's morphism of q-characters (sum of monomials in infinite variables). In math.QA/0212257 we generalized the construction of q,t-characters for non simply-laced quantum affine algebras. First in this paper we prove a conjecture of math.QA/0212257 : the monomials of q and q,t-characters of standard representations are the same in non simply-laced cases (the simply-laced cases were treated by Nakajima) and the coefficien…
Recently Fayers introduced a large family of combinatorial realizations of the fundamental crystal for affine sl(n), where the vertices are indexed by certain partitions. He showed that special cases of this construction agree with the Misra-Miwa realization and with Berg's ladder crystal. Here we show that another special case is naturally isomorphic to a realization using Nakajima's monomial crystal.
We shall describe explicitly the decoration functions for certain decorated geometric crystals of classical groups and we shall show that they are represented in terms of monomial realizations of crystal bases.
We shall show that for type $A_n$ the realization of crystal bases obtained from the decorated geometric crystals intorduced by Berenstein and Kazhdan coincides with our polyhedral realizations of crystal bases. We also observe certain relations of decorations and monomial realizations of crystal bases.
In this paper, we give a new realization of crystal bases for irreducible highest weight modules over $U_q(G_2)$ in terms of monomials. We also discuss the natural connection between the monomial realization and tableau realization.
We study the monomial crystal defined by the second author. We show that each component of the monomial crystal can be embedded into a crystal of an extremal weight module introduced by Kashiwara. And we determine all monomials appearing in the components corresponding to all level 0 fundamental representations of quantum affine algebras except for some nodes of $E_6^{(2)}$, $E_7^{(1)}$, $E_8^{(1)}$. Thus we obtain explicit descriptions of the crystals in these examples. We also give those for the corresponding finite dimensional representations. For classical types, we give them in terms of t…
We consider a product of fundamental crystals in monomial realization of type A. Then we shall show that the product holds crystal structure and describe how it is decomposed into irreducible crystals, which is, in general, different from the decomposition for tensor product of the fundamental crystals.
We study the crystal base of the negative part of a quantum group. Two explicit descriptions of the crystal $B(\infty)$ for types $G_2$ are given. The first is given in terms of extended Nakajima monomials and the second realization follows a similar result given for other finite types by Cliff.
A previous work gave a combinatorial description of the crystal $B(\infty)$, in terms of certain simple Young tableaux referred to as the marginally large tableaux, for finite dimensional simple Lie algebras. Using this result, we present an explicit description of the crystal $B(λ)$, in terms of the marginally large tableaux, for the $G_2$ Lie algebra type. We also provide a new description of $B(\la)$, in terms of Nakajima monomials, that is in natural correspondence with our tableau description.
In this paper we construct a new family of representations for the quantum toroidal algebras of type $A_n$, which are $\ell$-extremal in the sense of Hernandez [24]. We construct extremal loop weight modules associated to level 0 fundamental weights $\varpi_\ell$ when $n=2r+1$ is odd and $\ell=1, r+1$ or $n$. To do it, we relate monomial realizations of level 0 extremal fundamental weight crystals with integrable representations of $\mathcal{U}_q(sl_{n+1}^{tor})$, and we introduce promotion operators for the level 0 extremal fundamental weight crystals. By specializing the quantum parameter, w…
We present a geometric construction of highest weight crystals for quantum generalized Kac-Moody algebras. It is given in terms of the irreducible components of certain Lagrangian subvarieties of Nakajima's quiver varieties associated to quivers with edge loops.
Let $λ$ be a (level-zero) dominant integral weight for an untwisted affine Lie algebra, and let $\mathrm{QLS}(λ)$ denote the quantum Lakshmibai-Seshadri (QLS) paths of shape $λ$. For an element $w$ of a finite Weyl group $W$, the specializations at $t = 0$ and $t = \infty$ of the nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomial $E_{w λ}(q, t)$ are explicitly described in terms of QLS paths of shape $λ$ and the degree function defined on them. Also, for (level-zero) dominant integral weights $λ$, $μ$, we have an isomorphism $Θ: \mathrm{QLS}(λ+ μ) \rightarrow \mathrm{QLS}(λ) \otimes \mathrm{QLS}(μ)$ of crystal…
These are notes for a lecture series given at the Fields Institute Summer School in Geometric Representation Theory and Extended Affine Lie Algebras, held at the University of Ottawa in June 2009. We give an introduction to the geometric realization of crystal graphs via the quiver varieties of Lusztig and Nakajima. The emphasis is on motivating the constructions through concrete examples. The relation between the geometric construction of crystals and combinatorial realizations using Young tableaux is also discussed.
Let $G$ be a simply connected simple algebraic group over $\mathbb{C}$, $B$ and $B_-$ be two opposite Borel subgroups in $G$ and $W$ be the Weyl group. For $u$, $v\in W$, it is known that the coordinate ring ${\mathbb C}[G^{u,v}]$ of the double Bruhat cell $G^{u,v}=BuB\cap B_-vB_-$ is isomorphic to an upper cluster algebra $\bar{\mathcal A}({\bf i})_{\mathbb C}$ and the generalized minors $\{Δ(k;{\bf i})\}$ are the cluster variables belonging to a given initial seed in ${\mathbb C}[G^{u,v}]$ [Berenstein A., Fomin S., Zelevinsky A., Duke Math. J. 126 (2005), 1-52, math.RT/0305434]. In the case …
For irreducible integrable highest weight modules of the finite and affine Lie algebras of type A and D, we define an isomorphism between the geometric realization of the crystal graphs in terms of irreducible components of Nakajima quiver varieties and the combinatorial realizations in terms of Young tableaux and Young walls. For affine type A, we extend the Young wall construction to arbitrary level, describing a combinatorial realization of the crystals in terms of new objects which we call Young pyramids.
Consider Kashiwara's crystal associated to a highest weight representation of a symmetric Kac-Moody algebra. There is a geometric realization of this object using Nakajima's quiver varieties, but in many particular cases it can also be realized by elementary combinatorial methods. Here we propose a framework for extracting combinatorial realizations from the geometric picture: We construct certain torus actions on the quiver varieties and use Morse theory to index the irreducible components by connected components of the subvariety of torus fixed points. We then discuss the case of affine sl(n…
We consider a generalization of the quiver varieties of Lusztig and Nakajima to the case of all symmetrizable Kac-Moody Lie algebras. To deal with the non-simply laced case one considers admissible automorphisms of a quiver and the irreducible components of the quiver varieties fixed by this automorphism. We define a crystal structure on these irreducible components and show that the crystals obtained are isomorphic to those associated to the crystal bases of the lower half of the universal enveloping algebra and the irreducible highest weight representations of the non-simply laced Kac-Moody …
Let $G$ be a simply connected simple algebraic group over $\mathbb{C}$, $B$ and $B_-$ its two opposite Borel subgroups, and $W$ the associated Weyl group. It is shown that the coordinate ring ${\mathbb C}[G^{u,v}]$ ($u$, $v\in W$) of the double Bruhat cell $G^{u,v}=BuB\cap B_-vB_-$ is isomorphic to the cluster algebra ${\mathcal{A}}(\textbf{i})_{\mathbb C}$ and the initial cluster variables of ${\mathbb C}[G^{u,v}]$ are the generalized minors $Δ(k;\textbf{i})$ by Berenstein, Fomin, Zelevinsky, Goodearl and Yakimov. In the case that a classical group $G$ is of type ${\rm B}_r$, ${\rm C}_r$ or $…
For a classical group $G$ and a Coxeter element $c$ of the Weyl group, it is known that the coordinate ring $\mathbb{C}[G^{e,c^2}]$ of the double Bruhat cell $G^{e,c^2}:=B\cap B_-c^2B_-$ has a structure of cluster algebra of finite type, where $B$ and $B_-$ are opposite Borel subgroups. In this article, we consider the case $G$ is of type ${\rm B}_r$, ${\rm C}_r$ or ${\rm D}_r$ and describe all the cluster variables in $\mathbb{C}[G^{e,c^2}]$ as monomial realizations of certain Demazure crystals.
Let $G$ be a simply connected simple algebraic group over $\mathbb{C}$, $B$ and $B_-$ be its two opposite Borel subgroups. For two elements $u$, $v$ of the Weyl group $W$, it is known that the coordinate ring ${\mathbb C}[G^{u,v}]$ of the double Bruhat cell $G^{u,v}=BuB\cap B_-vB_-$ is isomorphic to a cluster algebra $\mathcal{A}(\textbf{i})_{\mathbb C}$ [arXiv:math/0305434, arXiv:1602.00498]. In the case $u=e$, $v=c^2$ ($c$ is a Coxeter element), the algebra ${\mathbb C}[G^{e,c^2}]$ has only finitely many cluster variables. In this article, for $G={\rm SL}_{r+1}(\mathbb{C})$, we obtain explic…
