We introduce bidendriform bialgebras, which are bialgebras such that both product and coproduct can be split into two parts satisfying good compatibilities. For example, the Malvenuto-Reutenauer Hopf algebra and the non-commutative Connes-Kreimer Hopf algebras of planar decorated rooted trees are bidendriform bialgebras. We prove that all connected bidendriform bialgebras are generated by their primitive elements as a dendriform algebra bidendriform Milnor-Moore theorem) and then is isomorphic to a Connes-Kreimer Hopf algebra. As a corollary, the Hopf algebra of Malvenuto-Reutenauer is isomorphic to the Connes-kreimer Hopf algebra of planar rooted trees decorated by a certain set. We deduce that the Lie algebra of its primitive elements is free in characteristic zero (G. Duchamp, F. Hivert and J.-Y. Thibon conjecture).
Quasishuffle Hopf algebras, usually defined on a commutative monoid, can be more generally defined on any associative algebra V. If V is a commutative and cocommutative bialgebra, the associated quasishuffle bialgebra QSh(V) inherits a second coproduct $δ$ of contraction and extraction of words, cointeracting with the deconcatenation coproduct $Δ$, making QSh(V) a double bialgebra. In order to generalize the universal property of the Hopf algebra of quasisymmetric functions QSym (a particular case of quasishuffle Hopf algebra) as exposed by Aguiar, Bergeron and Sottile, we introduce the notion…
In this paper, we first introduce the definition of a Hom-Poisson bialgebra and give an equivalent descriptions via the Manin triple of Hom-Poisson algebras. Also we introduce notions of $\mathcal{O}$-operator on a Hom-Poisson algebra, post-Hom-Poisson algebra and quasitriangular Hom-Poisson bialgebra, and present a method to construct post-Hom-Poisson algebras. Finally, we show that a quasitriangular Hom-Poisson bialgebra naturally yields a post-Hom-Poisson algebra.
To any poset or quasi-poset is attached a lattice polytope, whose Ehrhart polynomial we study from a Hopf-algebraic point of view. We use for this two interacting bialgebras on quasi-posets. The Ehrhart polynomial defines a Hopf algebra morphism taking its values in Q[X], we deduce from the interacting bialgebras an algebraic proof of the duality principle, a generalization and a new proof of a result on B-series due to Whright and Zhao, using a monoid of characters on quasi-posets, and a generalization of Faulhaber's formula. We also give non-commutative versions of these results: polynomials…
In this paper, we associate a dual quasi-bialgebra, called bosonization, to every dual quasi-bialgebra $H$ and every bialgebra $R$ in the category of Yetter-Drinfeld modules over $H$. Then, using the fundamental theorem, we characterize as bosonizations the dual quasi-bialgebras with a projection onto a dual quasi-bialgebra with a preantipode. As an application we investigate the structure of the graded coalgebra $grA$ associated to a dual quasi-bialgebra $A$ with the dual Chevalley property (e.g. $A$ is pointed).
Many features of classical Lie theory generalize to the broader context of algebras over Hopf operads. However, this idea remains largely to be developed systematically. Quasi-shuffle algebras provide for example an interesting illustration of these phenomena, but have not been investigated from this point of view. The notion of quasi-shuffle algebras can be traced back to the beginings of the theory of Rota--Baxter algebras, but was developed systematically only recently, starting essentially with Hoffman's work, that was motivated by multizeta values (MZVs) and featured their bialgebra struct…
In this paper, the theory to construct quantum lines for general dual quasi-bialgebras is developed followed by some specific examples where the dual quasi-bialgebras are pointed with cyclic group of points.
The purpose of this paper is to give a general survey of Hom-bialgebras, which are bialgebra-type structures where the identities are twisted by a morphism, and to extend the concept of quasi-bialgebra to Hom-setting. We provide some key constructions and generalize the concept of gauge transformation and Drinfeld's twists to this type of generalized quasi-bialgebras. Moreover, we provide an example of twisted quantum double.
It is known that a dual quasi-bialgebra with antipode $H$, i.e. a dual quasi-Hopf algebra, fulfils a fundamental theorem for right dual quasi-Hopf $H$-bicomodules. The converse in general is not true. We prove that, for a dual quasi-bialgebra $H$, the structure theorem amounts to the existence of a suitable map $S:H\rightarrow H$ that we call a preantipode of $H$.
The aim of this paper is to establish a contravariant adjunction between the category of quasi-bialgebras and a suitable full subcategory of dual quasi-bialgebras, adapting the notion of finite dual to this framework. Various functorial constructions involving non-associative algebras and non-coassociative coalgebras are then carried out. Several examples illustrating our methods are expounded as well.
We describe all the quasi-bialgebra structures of a group algebra over a torsion-free abelian group. They all come out to be triangular in a unique way. Moreover, up to an isomorphism, these quasi-bialgebra structures produce only one (braided) monoidal structure on the category of their representations. Applying these results to the algebra of Laurent polynomials, we recover two braided monoidal categories introduced in \cite{CG} by S. Caenepeel and I. Goyvaerts in connection with Hom-structures (Lie algebras, algebras, coalgebras, Hopf algebras).
We introduce a Hom-type generalization of quantum groups, called quasi-triangular Hom-bialgebras. They are non-associative and non-coassociative analogues of Drinfel'd's quasi-triangular bialgebras, in which the non-(co)associativity is controlled by a twisting map. A family of quasi-triangular Hom-bialgebras can be constructed from any quasi-triangular bialgebra, such as Drinfel'd's quantum enveloping algebras. Each quasi-triangular Hom-bialgebra comes with a solution of the quantum Hom-Yang-Baxter equation, which is a non-associative version of the quantum Yang-Baxter equation. Solutions of …
We equip a matrix algebra with a weighted infinitesimal unitary bialgebraic structure, via a construction of a suitable coproduct. Furthermore, an infinitesimal unitary Hopf algebra, under the view of Aguiar, is constructed on a matrix algebra. By exploring the relationship between weighted infinitesimal bialgebras and pre-Lie algebras, we construct a pre-Lie algebraic structure and then a new Lie algebraic structure on a matrix algebra. We also introduce the weighted associative Yang-Baxter equations (AYBEs) and obtain the relationship between solutions of weighted AYBEs and weighted infinite…
Rota-Baxter systems were introduced by Brzeziński as a generalization of Rota-Baxter operators that are related to dendriform structures, associative Yang-Baxter pairs and covariant bialgebras. In this paper, we define Rota-Baxter systems on Hom-associative algebras and show how they induce Hom-dendriform structures and weak pseudotwistors on the underlying Hom-associative algebra. We introduce Hom-Yang-Baxter pairs and a notion of covariant Hom-bialgebra. Given a Hom-Yang-Baxter pair, we construct a twisted Rota-Baxter system and a (quasitriangular) covariant Hom-bialgebra. Finally, we consid…
The Structure Theorem for Hopf modules states that if a bialgebra $H$ is a Hopf algebra (i.e. it is endowed with a so-called antipode) then every Hopf module $M$ is of the form ${M}^{\mathrm{co}{H}}\otimes H$, where ${M}^{\mathrm{co}{H}}$ denotes the space of coinvariant elements in $M$. Actually, it has been shown that this result characterizes Hopf algebras: $H$ is a Hopf algebra if and only if every Hopf module $M$ can be decomposed in such a way. The main aim of this paper is to extend this characterization to the framework of quasi-bialgebras by introducing the notion of preantipode and b…
We study a twisted version of the Yang-Baxter Equation, called the Hom-Yang-Baxter Equation (HYBE), which is motivated by Hom-Lie algebras. Three classes of solutions of the HYBE are constructed, one from Hom-Lie algebras and the others from Drinfeld's (dual) quasi-triangular bialgebras. Each solution of the HYBE can be extended to operators that satisfy the braid relations. Assuming an invertibility condition, these operators give a representation of the braid group.
As an algebraic meaning of the nonhomogenous associative Yang-Baxter equation, weighted infinitesimal bialgebras play an important role in mathematics and mathematical physics. In this paper, we introduce the concept of weighted infinitesimal Hopf modules and show that any module carries a natural structure of weighted infinitesimal unitary Hopf module over a weighted quasitriangular infinitesimal unitary bialgebra. We decorate planar rooted forests in a new way, and prove that the space of rooted forests, together with a coproduct and a family of grafting operations, is the free $Ω$-cocycle i…
We here give polynomial realizations of various Hopf algebras or bialgebras on Feynman graphs, graphs, posets or quasi-posets, that it to say injections of these objects into polynomial algebras generated by an alphabet. The alphabet here considered are totally quasi-ordered. The coproducts are given by doubling the alphabets; a second coproduct is defined by squaring the alphabets, and we obtain cointeracting bialgebras in the commutative case.
New types of bialgebras arising from the Hopf equation (pentagonal equation) are introduced and studied. They will play from the Hopf equation the same role as the co-quasitriangular do from the quantum Yang Baxter equation.
Let $A$ be a Hopf algebra over a field $K$ of characteristic zero such that its coradical $H$ is a finite dimensional sub-Hopf algebra. Our main theorem shows that there is a gauge transformation $ζ$ on $A$ such that $A^ζ\cong Q#H$ where $A^ζ$ is the dual quasi-bialgebra obtained from $A$ by twisting its multiplication by $ζ$, $Q$ is a connected dual quasi-bialgebra in $^H_H\mathcal{YD}$ and $Q #H $ is a dual quasi-bialgebra called the bosonization of $Q$ by $H$.
In this paper, we first introduce the notion of a phase space of a Poisson algebra, and show that a Poisson algebra has a phase space if and only if it is sub-adjacent to a pre-Poisson algebra. Moreover, we introduce the notion of Manin triples of pre-Poisson algebras and show that there is a one-to-one correspondence between Manin triples of pre-Poisson algebras and phase spaces of Poisson algebras. Then we introduce the notion of pre-Poisson bialgebras, which is equivalent to Manin triples of pre-Poisson algebras. We study coboundary pre-Poisson bialgebras, which leads to an analogue of the …
We introduce the categories of infinitesimal Hopf modules and bimodules over an infinitesimal bialgebra. We show that they correspond to modules and bimodules over the infinitesimal version of the double. We show that there is a natural, but non-obvious way to construct a pre-Lie algebra from an arbitrary infinitesimal bialgebra and a dendriform algebra from a quasitriangular infinitesimal bialgebra. As consequences, we obtain a pre-Lie structure on the space of paths on an arbitrary quiver, and a striking dendriform structure on the space of endomorphisms of an arbitrary infinitesimal bialgeb…
We prove that a finite-dimensional Hopf algebra with the dual Chevalley Property over a field of characteristic zero is quasi-isomorphic to a Radford-Majid bosonization whenever the third Hochschild cohomology group in the category of Yetter-Drinfeld modules of its diagram with coefficients in the base field vanishes. Moreover we show that this vanishing occurs in meaningful examples where the diagram is a Nichols algebra.
We prove that a quasi-bialgebra admits a preantipode if and only if the associated free quasi-Hopf bimodule functor is Frobenius, if and only if the relative (opmonoidal) monad is a Hopf monad. The same results hold in particular for a bialgebra, tightening the connection between Hopf and Frobenius properties.
We show that for dually paired bialgebras, every comodule algebra over one of the paired bialgebras gives a comodule algebra over their Drinfeld double via a crossed product construction. These constructions generalize to working with bialgebra objects in a braided monoidal category of modules over a quasitriangular Hopf algebra. Hence two ways to provide comodule algebras over the braided Drinfeld double (the double bosonization) are provided. Furthermore, a map of second Hopf algebra cohomology spaces is constructed. It takes a pair of 2-cocycles over dually paired Hopf algebras and produces…
Shuffle and quasi-shuffle products are well-known in the mathematics literature. They are intimately related to Loday's dendriform algebras, and were extensively used to give explicit constructions of free commutative Rota-Baxter algebras. In the literature there exist at least two other Rota-Baxter type algebras, namely, the Nijenhuis algebra and the so-called TD-algebra. The explicit construction of the free unital commutative Nijenhuis algebra uses a modified quasi-shuffle product, called the right-shift shuffle. We show that another modification of the quasi-shuffle product, the so-called …
In recent years, the usual BPHZ algorithm for renormalization in perturbative quantum field theory has been interpreted, after dimensional regularization, as a Birkhoff decomposition of characters on the Hopf algebra of Feynman graphs, with values in a Rota-Baxter algebra of amplitudes. We associate in this paper to any such algebra a universal semi-group (different in nature from the Connes-Marcolli "cosmical Galois group"). Its action on the physical amplitudes associated to Feynman graphs produces the expected operations: Bogoliubov's preparation map, extraction of divergences, renormalizat…
Using the concept of mixable shuffles, we formulate explicitly the quantum quasi-shuffle product, as well as the subalgebra generated by primitive elements of the quantum quasi-shuffle bialgebra. We construct a braided coalgebra structure which is dual to the quantum quasi-shuffle algebra. We provide representations of quantum quasi-shuffle algebras on commutative braided Rota-Baxter algebras. As an application, we establish a formal power series whose terms come from a special representation of some kind of quasi-shuffle algebra and whose evaluation at 1 is the multiple $q$-zeta values.
The aim of this paper is to develop the theory of Hom-coalgebras and related structures. After reviewing some key constructions and examples of quasi-deformations of Lie algebras involving twisted derivations and giving rise to the class of quasi-Lie algebras incorporating Hom-Lie algebras, we describe the notion and some properties of Hom-algebras and provide examples. We introduce Hom-coalgebra structures, leading to the notions of Hom-bialgebra and Hom-Hopf algebras and prove some fundamental properties and give examples. Finally, we define the concept of Hom-Lie admissible Hom-coalgebra an…
We prove several results concerning quasi-bialgebra morphisms $\mathcal{D}^ω(G)\to\mathcal{D}^η(H)$ of twisted group doubles. We take a particular focus on the isomorphisms which are simultaneously isomorphisms $\mathcal{D}(G)\to\mathcal{D}(H)$. All such isomorphisms are shown to be morphisms of quasi-Hopf algebras, and a classification of all such isomorphisms is determined. Whenever $ω\in Z^3(G/Z(G),U(1))$ this suffices to completely describe $\operatorname{Aut}(\mathcal{D}^ω(G))$, the group of quasi-Hopf algebra isomorphisms of $\mathcal{D}^ω(G)$, and so generalizes existing descriptions fo…
This article continues the study of concrete algebra-like structures in our polyadic approach, where the arities of all operations are initially taken as arbitrary, but the relations between them, the arity shapes, are to be found from some natural conditions ("arity freedom principle"). In this way, generalized associative algebras, coassociative coalgebras, bialgebras and Hopf algebras are defined and investigated. They have many unusual features in comparison with the binary case. For instance, both the algebra and its underlying field can be zeroless and nonunital, the existence of the uni…
