Via a random construction we establish necessary conditions for $L^p(\ell^q)$ inequalities for certain families of operators arising in harmonic analysis. In particular we consider dilates of a convolution kernel with compactly supported Fourier transform, vector maximal functions acting on classes of entire functions of exponential type, and a characterization of Sobolev spaces by square functions and pointwise moduli of smoothness.
Recently, in \cite{GXHTM}, the authors established $L^p$-boundedness of vector-valued $q$-variational inequalities for averaging operators which take values in the Banach space satisfying martingale cotype $q$ property. In this paper, we prove that martingale cotype $q$ property is also necessary for the vector-valued $q$-variational inequalities, which is a question left open. Moreover, we characterize UMD property and martingale cotype $q$ property in terms of vector valued $q$-variational inequalities for Hilbert transform.
We prove certain vector valued inequalities related to Littlewood-Paley theory on Euclidean spaces. They can be used in proving characterization of the Hardy spaces in terms of Littlewood-Paley operators by methods of real analysis.
We study two weight norm inequalities for a vector-valued operator from a weighted $L^p(σ)$-space to mixed norm $L^q_{l^s}(μ)$ spaces, $1<q<p$. We apply these results to the boundedness of Wolff's potentials.
In this paper, the author established Hermite-Hadamard's inequalities for harmonically convex functions via fractional integrals and obtained some Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities of these classes of functions.
The author introduces the concept of harmonically (α,m)-convex functions and establishes some Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities of these classes of functions.
The author introduces the concept of harmonically s-convex functions and establishes some Ostrowski type inequalities and Hermite-Hadamard type inequality of these classes of functions.
In this paper, we obtained some new estimates on generalization of Hadamard, Ostrowski and Simpson-like type inequalities for harmonically quasi-convex functions via Riemann Liouville fractional integral.
Authors introduce the concept of harmonically $(s,m)$-convex functions in second sense in \cite{II}.In this article, we establish some Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities of this class of functions.
In this paper, a new identity for fractional integrals is established. Then by making use of the established identity, some new Ostrowski type inequalities for harmonically s-convex functions via Riemann--Liouville fractional integral are established.
In this paper, it is a fuction that is a harmonically-convex differentiable for a new identity. As a result of this identity some new and general inequalities for differentiable harmonically-convex functions are obtained.
In this paper, we extend the Hermite-Hadamard type $\dot{I}$scan inequality to the class of symmetrized harmonic convex functions. The corresponding version for harmonic h-convex functions is also investigated. Furthermore, we establish Hermite-Hadamard type inequalites for the product of a harmonic convex function with a symmetrized harmonic convex function.
In recent years, new classes of convex functions have been introduced in order to generalize the results and to obtain new estimations. We also introduce the concept of harmonically convex functions on the co-ordinates. Also, we establish some inequalities of Hermit-Hadamard type as S.S. Dragomir' s results in Theorem 2 and other Hermit-Hadamard type inequalities for these classes of functions.
We use the method of induction-on-scales to prove certain diffeomorphism invariant nonlinear Brascamp--Lieb inequalities. We provide applications to multilinear convolution inequalities and the restriction theory for the Fourier transform, extending to higher dimensions recent work of Bejenaru--Herr--Tataru and Bennett--Carbery--Wright.
In the paper, the authors find the best possible constants appeared in two inequalities for bounding the Seiffert mean by the linear combinations of the arithmetic, centroidal, and contra-harmonic means.
In \cite{II}, authors introduced the concept of harmonically $(s,m)$-convex functions in second sense which unifies different type of convexities and is more general notion of Harmonic convexity. In this paper, authors obtain new estimates on generalization of Hermite-Hadamard and Simpson type inequalities for this larger class of functions.
We introduce the interval Darboux delta integral (shortly, the $ID$ $Δ$-integral) and the interval Riemann delta integral (shortly, the $IR$ $Δ$-integral) for interval-valued functions on time scales. Fundamental properties of $ID$ and $IR$ $Δ$-integrals and examples are given. Finally, we prove Jensen's, Hölder's and Minkowski's inequalities for the $IR$ $Δ$-integral. Also, some examples are given to illustrate our theorems.
We give a characterization of the two-weight inequality for a simple vector-valued operator. Special cases of our result have been considered before in the form of the weighted Carleson embedding theorem, the dyadic positive operators of Nazarov, Treil, and Volberg in the square integrable case, and Lacey, Sawyer, Uriarte-Tuero in the L^p case. The main technique of this paper is a Sawyer-style argument and the characterization is for 1 < p < \infty. We are unaware of instances where this operator has been given attention in the two-weight setting before.
In this paper, a new identity for differentiable functions is derived. A consequence of the identity is that the author establishes some new general inequalities containing all of the Hermite-Hadamard and Simpson-like type for functions whose derivatives in absolute value at certain power are harmonically convex. Some applications to special means of real numbers are also given.
Muscalu, Pipher, Tao and Thiele \cite{MPTT} showed that the tensor product between two one dimensional paraproducts (also known as bi-parameter paraproduct) satisfies all the expected $L^p$ bounds. In the same paper they showed that the tensor product between two bilinear Hilbert transforms is unbounded in any range. They also raised the question about $L^p$ boundedness of the bilinear Hilbert transform tensor product with a paraproduct. We answer their question by obtaining a wide range of estimates for this hybrid bilinear operator. Our method relies on new vector valued estimates for a fami…
In this paper, two sharp inequalities for bounding the psi function $ψ$ and the harmonic numbers $H_n$ are established respectively, some results in [I. Muqattash and M. Yahdi, \textit{Infinite family of approximations of the Digamma function}, Math. Comput. Modelling \textbf{43} (2006), 1329\nobreakdash--1336.] are improved, and some remarks are given.
In the paper, by finding linear relations of differences between some means, the authors supply a unified proof of some double inequalities for bounding Neuman-Sándor means in terms of the arithmetic, harmonic, and contra-harmonic means and discover some new sharp inequalities involving Neuman-Sándor, contra-harmonic, root-square, and other means of two positive real numbers.
An interplay between the sum of certain series related to Harmonic numbers and certain finite trigonometric sums is investigated. This allows us to express the sum of these series in terms of the considered trigonometric sums, and permits us to find sharp inequalities bounding these trigonometric sums. In particular, this answers positively an open problem of H. Chen (2010).
We show some non-standard Poincaré type estimates in the biparametric setting with appropriate weights. We will derive these results using variants from classical estimates exploiting the interplay between maximal functions and fractional integrals. We also provide a sharper result by using extrapolation techniques.
We study functional inequality of the form $$|T(f,h)-T(f,g)T(g,h)| \leq F(f,g)F(g,h) -F(f,h)$$ where $T$ is a complex-valued functional and $F$ is a real-valued map. Motivation for our studies comes from some generalizations of Grüss inequality.
Using the KKM technique, we establish some existence results for variational-hemivariational inequalities involving monotone set valued mappings on bounded, closed and convex subsets in reflexive Banach spaces. We also derive several sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions in the case of unbounded subsets.
We develop a new method of proving vector-valued estimates in harmonic analysis, which we like to call "the helicoidal method". As a consequence of it, we are able to give affirmative answers to some questions that have been circulating for some time. In particular, we show that the tensor product $BHT \otimes Π$ between the bilinear Hilbert transform $BHT$ and a paraproduct $Π$ satisfies the same $L^p$ estimates as the $BHT$ itself, solving completely a problem introduced in a paper of Muscalu, Pipher, Tao and Thiele. Then, we prove that for "locally $L^2$ exponents" the corresponding vector …
In this paper we study the vector-valued analogues of several inequalities for the Fourier transform. In particular, we consider the inequalities of Hausdorff--Young, Hardy--Littlewood, Paley, Pitt, Bochkarev and Zygmund. The Pitt inequalities include the Hausdorff--Young and Hardy--Littlewood inequalities and state that the Fourier transform is bounded from $L^p(\mathbb{R}^d,|\cdot|^{βp})$ into $L^q(\mathbb{R}^d,|\cdot|^{-γq})$ under certain condition on $p,q,β$ and $γ$. Vector-valued analogues are derived under geometric conditions on the underlying Banach space such as Fourier type and rela…
In this paper, some Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities are established for harmonically $(α,m)$-convex functions via fractional integrals and some Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities are obtained for these classes of functions.
We extend the helicoidal method that we previously developed to the quasi-Banach context, proving in this way multiple Banach and quasi-Banach vector-valued inequalities for paraproducts $Π$ and for the bilinear Hilbert transform $BHT$. As an immediate application, we obtain mixed norm estimates for $Π\otimes Π$ in the whole range of Lebesgue exponents. One of the novelties in the quasi-Banach framework (that is, when $0<r<1$), which we expect to be useful in other contexts as well, is the "linearization" of the operator $ \left( \sum_k | T(f_k, g_k) |^r \right)^{1/r}$ by dualizing its weak-$L…
In this paper, we find the greatest values $α$ and $λ$, and the least values $β$ and $μ$ such that the double inequalities $$C^α(a,b)A^{1-α}(a,b)<M(a,b)<C^β(a,b)A^{1-β}(a,b)$$ and &[C(a,b)/6+5 A(a,b)/6]^λ[C^{1/6}(a,b)A^{5/6}(a,b)]^{1-λ}<M(a,b) &\qquad<[C(a,b)/6+5 A(a,b)/6]^μ[C^{1/6}(a,b)A^{5/6}(a,b)]^{1-μ} hold for all $a,b>0$ with $a\neq b$, where $M(a,b)$, $A(a,b)$ and $C(a,b)$ denote the Neuman-Sándor, arithmetic, and contra-harmonic means of $a$ and $b$, respectively.
We prove a sparse bound for the $m$-sublinear form associated to vector-valued maximal functions of Fefferman-Stein type. As a consequence, we show that the sparse bounds of multisublinear operators are preserved via $\ell^r$-valued extension. This observation is in turn used to deduce vector-valued, multilinear weighted norm inequalities for multisublinear operators obeying sparse bounds, which are out of reach for the extrapolation theory recently developed by Cruz-Uribe and Martell. As an example, vector-valued multilinear weighted inequalities for bilinear Hilbert transforms are deduced fr…
In this paper, we present the greatest values $α$, $λ$ and $p$, and the least values $β$, $μ$ and $q$ such that the double inequalities $αD(a,b)+(1-α)H(a,b)<T(a,b)<βD(a,b)+(1-β) H(a,b)$, $λD(a,b)+(1-λ)H(a,b)<C(a,b)<μD(a,b)+(1-μ) H(a,b)$ and $p D(a,b)+(1-p)H(a,b)<Q(a,b)<q D(a,b)+(1-q)H(a,b)$ hold for all $a,b>0$ with $a\neq b$, where $H(a,b)=2ab/(a+b)$, $T(a,b)=(a-b)/[2\arctan((a-b)/(a+b))]$, $Q(a,b)=\sqrt{(a^2+b^2)/2}$, $C(a,b)=(a^2+b^2)/(a+b)$ and $D(a,b)=(a^3+b^3)/(a^2+b^2)$ are the harmonic, Seiffert, quadratic, first contraharmonic and second contraharmonic means of $a$ and $b$, respective…
In this note, we derive non trivial sharp bounds related to the weighted harmonic-geometric-arithmetic means inequalities, when two out of the three terms are known. As application, we give an explicit bound for the trace of the inverse of a symmetric positive definite matrix and an inequality related to the coefficients of polynomials with positive roots.
We prove weak type inequalities for a large class of noncommutative square functions. In conjunction with BMO type estimates, interpolation and duality, we will obtain the corresponding equivalences in the whole Lp scale. The main novelty of our approach relies on a row/column valued theory for noncommutative martingale transforms and operator-valued Calderon-Zygmund operators. This seems to be new in the noncommutative setting and might be regarded as a first step towards a vector-valued noncommutative theory. Some examples and applications are also explored.
In this paper, we establish $\mathcal B$-valued variational inequalities for differential operators, ergodic averages and symmetric diffusion semigroups under the condition that Banach space $\mathcal B$ has martingale cotype property. These results generalize, on the one hand Pisier and Xu's result on the variational inequalities for $\mathcal B$-valued martingales, on the other hand many classical variational inequalities in harmonic analysis and ergodic theory. Moreover, we show that Rademacher cotype $q$ is necessary for the $\mathcal B$-valued $q$-variational inequalities. As applications…
We give a systematic study on the Hardy spaces of functions with values in the non-commutative $L^p$-spaces associated with a semifinite von Neumann algebra ${\cal}M.$ This is motivated by the works on matrix valued Harmonic Analysis (operator weighted norm inequalities, operator Hilbert transform), and on the other hand, by the recent development on the non-commutative martingale inequalities. Our non-commutative Hardy spaces are defined by the non-commutative Lusin integral function.
We obtain a complete characterization of the weak-type $(1,1)$ for Haar shift operators in terms of generalized Haar systems adapted to a Borel measure $μ$ in the operator-valued setting. The main technical tool in our method is a noncommutative Calderón-Zygmund decomposition valid for arbitrary Borel measures.
This is an attempt to build Banach space valued theory for certain singular integrals on Hamming cube. Of course all estimates below are dimension independent, and we tried to find ultimate sharp assumptions on the Banach space for a corresponding operators to be bounded. In certain cases we succeeded, although there are still many open questions, some of them are listed in the last Section. Using the approach of \cite{IVHV} and also quantum random variables approach of \cite{ELP} we generalize several theorems of Pisier \cite{P} and Hytönen-Naor \cite{HN}. We also improve the constant in $L^1…
In this article, Fefferman-Stein inequalities in $L^p(\mathbb R^d;\ell^q)$ withbounds independent of the dimension $d$ are proved, for all $1 \textless{} p, q \textless{} + \infty.$This result generalizes in a vector-valued setting the famous one by Steinfor the standard Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator. We then extendour result by replacing $\ell^q$ with an arbitrary UMD Banach lattice. Finally,we prove similar dimensionless inequalities in the setting of the Grushinoperators.
We prove weighted $q$-variation inequalities with $2<q<\infty$ for differential and singular integral operators in higher dimensions. The vector-valued extensions of these inequalities are also given.
This is the third part of a series of four articles on weighted norm inequalities, off-diagonal estimates and elliptic operators. For $L$ in some class of elliptic operators, we study weighted norm $L^p$ inequalities for singular 'non-integral' operators arising from $L$ ; those are the operators $ϕ(L)$ for bounded holomorphic functions $ϕ$, the Riesz transforms $\nabla L^{-1/2}$ (or $(-Δ)^{1/2}L^{-1/2}$) and its inverse $L^{1/2}(-Δ)^{-1/2}$, some quadratic functionals $g\_{L}$ and $G\_{L}$ of Littlewood-Paley-Stein type and also some vector-valued inequalities such as the ones involved for ma…
In this paper, we establish UMD lattice-valued variational inequalities for differential operators, ergodic averages and analytic semigroups. These results generalize, on the one hand some scalar-valued variational inequalities in ergodic theory, on the other hand Xu's very recent result on UMD lattice-valued maximal inequality. As a consequence, we deduce the jump estimates and obtain quantitative information on the rate of the pointwise convergence.
In this paper, we establish the sharp critical and subcritical trace Trudinger-Moser and Adams inequalities on the half spaces and prove the existence of their extremals through the method based on the Fourier rearrangement, harmonic extension and scaling invariance. These trace Trudinger-Moser and Adams inequalities can be considered as the borderline case of the Sobolev trace inequalities of first and higher orders. Furthermore, we show the existence of the least energy solutions for a class of bi-harmonic equations with nonlinear Neumann boundary condition associated with the trace Adams in…
We prove a one-parameter family of sharp integral inequalities for functions on the $n$-dimensional unit ball. The inequalities are conformally invariant, and the sharp constants are attained for functions that are equivalent to a constant function under conformal transformations. As a limiting case, we obtain an inequality that generalizes Carleman's inequality for harmonic functions in the plane to poly-harmonic functions in higher dimensions.
