We give a characterization of the two-weight inequality for a simple vector-valued operator. Special cases of our result have been considered before in the form of the weighted Carleson embedding theorem, the dyadic positive operators of Nazarov, Treil, and Volberg in the square integrable case, and Lacey, Sawyer, Uriarte-Tuero in the L^p case. The main technique of this paper is a Sawyer-style argument and the characterization is for 1 < p < \infty. We are unaware of instances where this operator has been given attention in the two-weight setting before.
Recently, in \cite{GXHTM}, the authors established $L^p$-boundedness of vector-valued $q$-variational inequalities for averaging operators which take values in the Banach space satisfying martingale cotype $q$ property. In this paper, we prove that martingale cotype $q$ property is also necessary for the vector-valued $q$-variational inequalities, which is a question left open. Moreover, we characterize UMD property and martingale cotype $q$ property in terms of vector valued $q$-variational inequalities for Hilbert transform.
We prove certain vector valued inequalities related to Littlewood-Paley theory on Euclidean spaces. They can be used in proving characterization of the Hardy spaces in terms of Littlewood-Paley operators by methods of real analysis.
We study two weight norm inequalities for a vector-valued operator from a weighted $L^p(σ)$-space to mixed norm $L^q_{l^s}(μ)$ spaces, $1<q<p$. We apply these results to the boundedness of Wolff's potentials.
Via a random construction we establish necessary conditions for $L^p(\ell^q)$ inequalities for certain families of operators arising in harmonic analysis. In particular we consider dilates of a convolution kernel with compactly supported Fourier transform, vector maximal functions acting on classes of entire functions of exponential type, and a characterization of Sobolev spaces by square functions and pointwise moduli of smoothness.
We introduce the interval Darboux delta integral (shortly, the $ID$ $Δ$-integral) and the interval Riemann delta integral (shortly, the $IR$ $Δ$-integral) for interval-valued functions on time scales. Fundamental properties of $ID$ and $IR$ $Δ$-integrals and examples are given. Finally, we prove Jensen's, Hölder's and Minkowski's inequalities for the $IR$ $Δ$-integral. Also, some examples are given to illustrate our theorems.
Muscalu, Pipher, Tao and Thiele \cite{MPTT} showed that the tensor product between two one dimensional paraproducts (also known as bi-parameter paraproduct) satisfies all the expected $L^p$ bounds. In the same paper they showed that the tensor product between two bilinear Hilbert transforms is unbounded in any range. They also raised the question about $L^p$ boundedness of the bilinear Hilbert transform tensor product with a paraproduct. We answer their question by obtaining a wide range of estimates for this hybrid bilinear operator. Our method relies on new vector valued estimates for a fami…
We study functional inequality of the form $$|T(f,h)-T(f,g)T(g,h)| \leq F(f,g)F(g,h) -F(f,h)$$ where $T$ is a complex-valued functional and $F$ is a real-valued map. Motivation for our studies comes from some generalizations of Grüss inequality.
Using the KKM technique, we establish some existence results for variational-hemivariational inequalities involving monotone set valued mappings on bounded, closed and convex subsets in reflexive Banach spaces. We also derive several sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions in the case of unbounded subsets.
We develop a new method of proving vector-valued estimates in harmonic analysis, which we like to call "the helicoidal method". As a consequence of it, we are able to give affirmative answers to some questions that have been circulating for some time. In particular, we show that the tensor product $BHT \otimes Π$ between the bilinear Hilbert transform $BHT$ and a paraproduct $Π$ satisfies the same $L^p$ estimates as the $BHT$ itself, solving completely a problem introduced in a paper of Muscalu, Pipher, Tao and Thiele. Then, we prove that for "locally $L^2$ exponents" the corresponding vector …
In this paper we study the vector-valued analogues of several inequalities for the Fourier transform. In particular, we consider the inequalities of Hausdorff--Young, Hardy--Littlewood, Paley, Pitt, Bochkarev and Zygmund. The Pitt inequalities include the Hausdorff--Young and Hardy--Littlewood inequalities and state that the Fourier transform is bounded from $L^p(\mathbb{R}^d,|\cdot|^{βp})$ into $L^q(\mathbb{R}^d,|\cdot|^{-γq})$ under certain condition on $p,q,β$ and $γ$. Vector-valued analogues are derived under geometric conditions on the underlying Banach space such as Fourier type and rela…
We extend the helicoidal method that we previously developed to the quasi-Banach context, proving in this way multiple Banach and quasi-Banach vector-valued inequalities for paraproducts $Π$ and for the bilinear Hilbert transform $BHT$. As an immediate application, we obtain mixed norm estimates for $Π\otimes Π$ in the whole range of Lebesgue exponents. One of the novelties in the quasi-Banach framework (that is, when $0<r<1$), which we expect to be useful in other contexts as well, is the "linearization" of the operator $ \left( \sum_k | T(f_k, g_k) |^r \right)^{1/r}$ by dualizing its weak-$L…
We prove a sparse bound for the $m$-sublinear form associated to vector-valued maximal functions of Fefferman-Stein type. As a consequence, we show that the sparse bounds of multisublinear operators are preserved via $\ell^r$-valued extension. This observation is in turn used to deduce vector-valued, multilinear weighted norm inequalities for multisublinear operators obeying sparse bounds, which are out of reach for the extrapolation theory recently developed by Cruz-Uribe and Martell. As an example, vector-valued multilinear weighted inequalities for bilinear Hilbert transforms are deduced fr…
H. N. Mhaskar obtained the inequalities for derivative of polynomial approximation with Freud type weight. In this paper, we showed the counterpart of the inequalities with Erdos type weight.
In this work we give some maximal inequalities in Triebel-Lizorkin spaces, which are "$\dot{F}_{\infty}^{s,q}$-variants" of Fefferman-Stein vector-valued maximal inequality and Peetre's maximal inequality. We will give some applications of the new maximal inequalities and discuss sharpness of some results.
The purpose of this paper is to describe a unified approach to proving vector-valued inequalities without relying on the full strength of weighted theory. Our applications include the Fefferman-Stein and Cordoba-Fefferman inequalities, as well as the vector-valued Carleson operator. Using this approach we also produce a proof of the boundedness of the classical bi-parameter multiplier operators, that does not rely on product theory. Our arguments are inspired by the vector valued restricted type interpolation used in [1].
We prove weak type inequalities for a large class of noncommutative square functions. In conjunction with BMO type estimates, interpolation and duality, we will obtain the corresponding equivalences in the whole Lp scale. The main novelty of our approach relies on a row/column valued theory for noncommutative martingale transforms and operator-valued Calderon-Zygmund operators. This seems to be new in the noncommutative setting and might be regarded as a first step towards a vector-valued noncommutative theory. Some examples and applications are also explored.
We establish a quantitative weighted inequality for the bilinear rough singular integral, where the bound is controlled by the cube of the weight constant.
We obtain convolution inequalities in Lebesgue and Lorentz spaces with power weights when the functions involved are assumed to be radially symmetric. We also present applications of these results to inequalities for Riesz potentials of radial functions in weighted Lorentz spaces and embedding theorems for radial Besov spaces with power weights.
Inspired by the recent work by R.Pal et al., we give further refined inequalities for a convex Riemann integrable function, applying the standard Hermite-Hadamard inequality. Our approach is different from their one in \cite{PSMA2016}. As corollaries, we give the refined inequalities on the weighted logarithmic mean and weighted identric mean. Some further extensions are also given.
The aim of this paper is to provide Markov-type inequalities in the setting of weighted Sobolev spaces when the considered weights are generalized classical weights. Also, as results of independent interest, some basic facts about Sobolev spaces with respect to certain vector measures are stated.
A description of all the admissible weights similar to the Muckenhoupt class $A_p$ is an open problem for the weighted Morrey spaces. In this paper necessary condition and sufficient condition for two-weight norm inequalities on Morrey spaces to hold are given for the Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator. Necessary and sufficient condition is also verified for the power weights.
We give new and elementary proofs of one weight norm inequalities for fractional integral operators and commutators. Our proofs are based on the machinery of dyadic grids and sparse operators used in the proof of the A2 conjecture.
We prove weighted strong inequalities for the multilinear potential operator ${\cal T}_ϕ$ and its commutator, where the kernel $ϕ$ satisfies certain growth condition. For these operators we also obtain Fefferman-Stein type inequalities and Coifman type estimates. On the other hand we prove weighted weak type inequalities for the multilinear maximal operator $\mathcal{M}_{φ,B}$ associated to a essentially nondecreasing function $φ$ and to a submultiplicative Young function $B$. This result allows us to obtain a weighted weak type inequality for the operator ${\cal T}_ϕ$.
Certain vector-valued inequalities are shown to hold for a Walsh analog of the bilinear Hilbert transform. These extensions are phrased in terms of a recent notion of quartile type of a UMD (Unconditional Martingale Differences) Banach space X. Every known UMD Banach space has finite quartile type, and it was recently shown that the Walsh analog of Carleson's Theorem holds under a closely related assumption of finite tile type. For a Walsh model of the bilinear Hilbert transform however, the quartile type should be sufficiently close to that of a Hilbert space for our results to hold. A full s…
In this paper, we establish $\mathcal B$-valued variational inequalities for differential operators, ergodic averages and symmetric diffusion semigroups under the condition that Banach space $\mathcal B$ has martingale cotype property. These results generalize, on the one hand Pisier and Xu's result on the variational inequalities for $\mathcal B$-valued martingales, on the other hand many classical variational inequalities in harmonic analysis and ergodic theory. Moreover, we show that Rademacher cotype $q$ is necessary for the $\mathcal B$-valued $q$-variational inequalities. As applications…
We give a systematic study on the Hardy spaces of functions with values in the non-commutative $L^p$-spaces associated with a semifinite von Neumann algebra ${\cal}M.$ This is motivated by the works on matrix valued Harmonic Analysis (operator weighted norm inequalities, operator Hilbert transform), and on the other hand, by the recent development on the non-commutative martingale inequalities. Our non-commutative Hardy spaces are defined by the non-commutative Lusin integral function.
This is an attempt to build Banach space valued theory for certain singular integrals on Hamming cube. Of course all estimates below are dimension independent, and we tried to find ultimate sharp assumptions on the Banach space for a corresponding operators to be bounded. In certain cases we succeeded, although there are still many open questions, some of them are listed in the last Section. Using the approach of \cite{IVHV} and also quantum random variables approach of \cite{ELP} we generalize several theorems of Pisier \cite{P} and Hytönen-Naor \cite{HN}. We also improve the constant in $L^1…
In this article, Fefferman-Stein inequalities in $L^p(\mathbb R^d;\ell^q)$ withbounds independent of the dimension $d$ are proved, for all $1 \textless{} p, q \textless{} + \infty.$This result generalizes in a vector-valued setting the famous one by Steinfor the standard Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator. We then extendour result by replacing $\ell^q$ with an arbitrary UMD Banach lattice. Finally,we prove similar dimensionless inequalities in the setting of the Grushinoperators.
We prove weighted $q$-variation inequalities with $2<q<\infty$ for differential and singular integral operators in higher dimensions. The vector-valued extensions of these inequalities are also given.
In this paper, we establish UMD lattice-valued variational inequalities for differential operators, ergodic averages and analytic semigroups. These results generalize, on the one hand some scalar-valued variational inequalities in ergodic theory, on the other hand Xu's very recent result on UMD lattice-valued maximal inequality. As a consequence, we deduce the jump estimates and obtain quantitative information on the rate of the pointwise convergence.
We prove a general self-improvement property for a family of weighted pointwise inequalities on open sets, including pointwise Hardy inequalities with distance weights. For this purpose we introduce and study the classes of $p$-Poincaré and $p$-Hardy weights for an open set $Ω\subset X$, where $X$ is a metric measure space. We also apply the self-improvement of weighted pointwise Hardy inequalities in connection with usual integral versions of Hardy inequalities.
In this paper we present inequalities between two generalizations of the hyperbolic metric and the j_G metric. We also prove inequalities between generalized versions of the j_G metric and Seittenranta's metric.
Let $(X,\|\cdot\|_X)$ be a Banach space. The purpose of this article is to systematically investigate dimension independent properties of vector valued functions $f:\{-1,1\}^n\to X$ on the Hamming cube whose spectrum is bounded above or below. Our proofs exploit contractivity properties of the heat flow, induced by the geometry of the target space $(X,\|\cdot\|_X)$, combined with duality arguments and suitable tools from approximation theory and complex analysis. We obtain a series of improvements of various well-studied estimates for functions with bounded spectrum, including moment compariso…
