In its most general formulation a quantum kinematical system is described by a Heisenberg group; the "configuration space" in this case corresponds to a maximal isotropic subgroup. We study irreducible models for Heisenberg groups based on compact maximal isotropic subgroups. It is shown that if the Heisenberg group is 2-regular, but the subgroup is not, the "vacuum sector" of the irreducible representation exhibits a fermionic structure. This will be the case, for instance, in a quantum mechanical model based on the 2-adic numbers with a suitably chosen isotropic subgroup. The formulation in terms of Heisenberg groups allows a uniform treatment of p-adic quantum systems for all primes p, and includes the possibility of treating adelic systems.
We show that the support of an irreducible weight module over the twisted Heisenberg-Virasoro algebra, which has an infinite dimensional weight space, coincides with the weight lattice and that all nontrivial weight spaces of such a module are infinite dimensional. As a corollary, we obtain that every irreducible weight module over the twisted Heisenberg-Virasoro algebra, having a nontrivial finite dimensional weight space, is a Harish-Chandra module (and hence is either an irreducible highest or lowest weight module or an irreducible module from the intermediate series
This paper is a continuation of arXiv:1405.1707. We present certain new applications and generalizations of the free field realization of the twisted Heisenberg-Virasoro algebra ${\mathcal H}$ at level zero. We find explicit formulas for singular vectors in certain Verma modules. A free field realization of self-dual modules for ${\mathcal H}$ is presented by combining a bosonic construction of Whittaker modules from arXiv:1409.5354 with a construction of logarithmic modules for vertex algebras. As an application, we prove that there exists a non-split self-extension of irreducible self-dual m…
In this paper, as a generalization of Kirillov's orbit theory, we explore the relationship between the dressing orbits and irreducible *-representations of the Hopf C*-algebras (A,Δ) and (\tilde{A}, \tildeΔ) we constructed earlier. We discuss the one-to-one correspondence between them, including their topological aspects. On each dressing orbit (which are symplectic leaves of the underlying Poisson structure), one can define a Moyal-type deformed product at the function level. The deformation is more or less modeled by the irreducible representation corresponding to the orbit. We point out tha…
We study the representation theory of the N=1 super Heisenberg-Virasoro vertex algebra at level zero, which extends the previous work on the Heisenberg-Virasoro vertex algebra arXiv:math/0201314, arXiv:1405.1707 and arXiv:1703.00531 to the super case. We calculated all characters of irreducible highest weight representations by investigating certain Fock space representations. Quite surprisingly, we found that the maximal submodules of certain Verma modules are generated by subsingular vectors. The formulas for singular and subsingular vectors are obtained using screening operators appearing i…
In our earlier work, we constructed a specific non-compact quantum group whose quantum group structures have been constructed on a certain twisted group C*-algebra. In a sense, it may be considered as a ``quantum Heisenberg group C*-algebra''. In this paper, we will find, up to equivalence, all of its irreducible *-representations. We will point out the Kirillov type correspondence between the irreducible representations and the so-called ``dressing orbits''. By taking advantage of its comultiplication, we will then introduce and study the notion of ``inner tensor product representations''. We…
SU(1,1) is considered as the automorphism group of the Heisenberg algebra H. The basis in the Hilbert space K of functions on H on which the irreducible representations of the group are realized is explicitly constructed. The addition theorems are derived.
We describe the structure of the irreducible highest weight modules for the twisted Heisenberg-Virasoro Lie algebra at level zero. We prove that such a module is either isomorphic to a Verma module or to a quotient of two Verma modules.
E(2) is studied as the automorphism group of the Heisenberg algebra H. The basis in the Hilbert space K of functions on H on which the unitary irreducible representations of the group are realized is explicitely constructed. The addition theorem for the Kummer functions is derived.
In this paper, we study Heisenberg vertex algebras over fields of prime characteristic. The new feature is that the Heisenberg vertex algebras are no longer simple unlike in the case of characteristic zero. We then study a family of simple quotient vertex algebras and we show that for each such simple quotient vertex algebra, irreducible modules are unique up to isomorphism and every module is completely reducible. To achieve our goal, we also establish a complete reducibility theorem for a certain category of modules over Heisenberg algebras.
We consider the extension of the Heisenberg vertex operator algebra by all its irreducible modules. We give an elementary construction for the intertwining vertex operators and show that they satisfy a complex parametrized generalized vertex operator algebra. We illustrate some of our results with the example of integral lattice vertex operator superalgebras.
We investigate the algebra $F_q(N)$ introduced by Faddeev, Reshetikhin and Takhadjian. In case $q$ is a primitive root of unity the degree, the center, and the set of irreducible representations are found. The Poisson structure is determined and the De Concini-Kac-Procesi Conjecture is proved for this case. In the case of $q$ generic, the primitive ideals are described. A related algebra studied by Oh is also treated.
We construct new irreducible weight modules over quantum affine algebras of type I with all weight spaces infinite-dimensional. These modules are obtained by parabolic induction from irreducible modules over the Heisenberg subalgebra.
We first determine the automorphism group of the twisted Heisenberg-Virasoro vertex operator algebra $V_{\mathcal{L}}(\ell_{123},0)$.Then, for any integer $t>1$, we introduce a new Lie algebra $\mathcal{L}_{t}$, and show that $σ_{t}$-twisted $V_{\mathcal{L}}(\ell_{123},0)$($\ell_{2}=0$)-modules are in one-to-one correspondence with restricted $\mathcal{L}_{t}$-modules of level $\ell_{13}$, where $σ_{t}$ is an order $t$ automorphism of $V_{\mathcal{L}}(\ell_{123},0)$. At the end, we give a complete list of irreducible $σ_{t}$-twisted $V_{\mathcal{L}}(\ell_{123},0)$($\ell_{2}=0$)-modules.
The aim of the paper is to study modules for the twisted Heisenberg-Virasoro algebra $\mathcal H$ at level zero as modules for the $W(2,2)$-algebra by using construction from [J. Pure Appl. Algebra 219 (2015), 4322-4342, arXiv:1405.1707]. We prove that the irreducible highest weight ${\mathcal H}$-module is irreducible as $W(2,2)$-module if and only if it has a typical highest weight. Finally, we construct a screening operator acting on the Heisenberg-Virasoro vertex algebra whose kernel is exactly $W(2,2)$ vertex algebra.
We construct a new family of irreducible modules over any basic classical affine Kac-Moody Lie superalgebra which are induced from modules over the Heisenberg subalgebra. We also obtain irreducible deformations of these modules for the quantum affine superalgebra of type A.
A universality of deformed Heisenberg algebra involving the reflection operator is revealed. It is shown that in addition to the well-known infinite-dimensional representations related to parabosons, the algebra has also finite-dimensional representations of the parafermionic nature. We demonstrate that finite-dimensional representations are representations of deformed parafermionic algebra with internal Z_2-grading structure. On the other hand, any finite- or infinite-dimensional representation of the algebra supply us with irreducible representation of osp(1|2) superalgebra. We show that the…
We prove that any irreducible $*$-representation of $\mathrm{Pol}(\mathrm{Mat}_n)_q$ can be 'lifted' to an irreducible *-representation of $\mathbb{C}[SU_{2n}]_q$, this result is then used to show the existence of the universal enveloping $C^*$- algebra of $\mathrm{Pol}(\mathrm{Mat}_n)_q$ and to prove that it is isomorphic to the closure of the image of the Fock representation. Moreover, we also classify all irreducible $*$-representations of $\mathrm{Pol}(\mathrm{Mat}_n)_q$ using a diagram approach.
We study irreducible *-representations of a certain quantization of the algebra of polynomial functions on a generalized flag manifold regarded as a real manifold. All irreducible *-representations are classified for a subclass of flag manifolds containing in particular the irreducible compact Hermitian symmetric spaces. For this subclass it is shown that the irreducible *-representations are parametrized by the symplectic leaves of the underlying Poisson bracket. We also discuss the relation between the quantized flag manifolds studied in this paper and the quantum flag manifolds studied by S…
We study the irreducible representations of quantum solvable algebras at roots of 1 which lie over a point of the variety of center. We characterize the quiver of fiber algebra and present the formulas on the dimension and the number of these representations in terms of Poisson structure of the variety of center.
In this paper a new quasi-triangular Hopf algebra as the quantum double of the Heisenberg-Weyl algebra is presented. Its universal R-matrix is built and the corresponding representation theory are studied with the explict construction for the representations of this quantum double. \newpage
We recover the holomorphic discrete series representations of $SU(1,n)$ as well as some unitary irreducible representations of $SU(n+1)$ by deformation of a minimal realization of $sl(n+1, {\mathbb C})$.
We give an introductory account of Khovanov's categorification of the Heisenberg algebra, and construct a combinatorial model for it in a 2-category of spans of groupoids. We also treat a categorification of $U(sl_n)$ in a similar way. These give rise to standard representations on vector spaces through a linearization process.
A description of all the irreducible representations of generalized quantum doubles associated to skew pairings of semisimple Hopf algebras is given. In particular a description of the irreducible representations of semisimple Drinfeld doubles is obtained. It is shown that the Grothendieck ring of these generalized quantum doubles have a structure similar to the rings that arise from Green functors. In order to do this we give a formula for the tensor product of any two such irreducible representations.
Tensor products of irreducible representations of the Jordanian quantum algebras U_h(sl(2)) and U_h(su(1,1)) are considered. For both the highest weight finite dimensional representations of U_h(sl(2)) and lowest weight infinite dimensional ones of U_h(su(1,1)), it is shown that tensor product representations are reducible and that the decomposition rules to irreducible representations are exactly the same as those of corresponding Lie algebras.
