Two geometric interpretations of the bar automorphism in the positive part of a quantized enveloping algebra are given. The first is in terms of numbers of rational points over finite fields of quiver analogues of orbital varieties; the second is in terms of a duality of constructible functions provided by preprojective varieties of quivers.
A factorization formula for certain automorphisms of a Poisson algebra associated to a quiver is proved, which involves framed versions of moduli spaces of quiver representations. This factorization formula is related to wall-crossing formulas for Donaldson-Thomas type invariants of M. Kontsevich and Y. Soibelman.
We study the convolution algebra $H_{*}(Z^θ_{W})$ of homology on diagram automorphism fixed point quiver variety and prove that there exists an algebra homomorphism from the universal enveloping algebra of the diagram automorphism fixed algebra of the split quiver to $H_{*}(Z^θ_{W})$.
We consider quiver representations respecting a quiver automorphism and show that the dimension vectors of the indecomposables are precisely the positive roots of an associated symmetrisable Kac-Moody Lie algebra. Moreover, every such Lie algebra arises in this way. We also discuss the relationship with species of valued quivers over finite fields.
Let $Q$ be a connected quiver with no oriented cycles, $k$ the field of complex numbers and $P$ a projective representation of $Q$. We study the adjoint action of the automorphism group $\Aut_{kQ} P$ on the space of radical endomorphisms $\radE_{kQ}P$. Using generic equivalence, we show that the quiver $Q$ has the property that there exists a dense open $\Aut_{kQ} P$-orbit in $\radE_{kQ} P$, for all projective representations $P$, if and only if $Q$ is a Dynkin quiver. This gives a new characterisation of Dynkin quivers.
For a classical group $G$ over a field $F$ together with a finite-order automorphism $θ$ that acts compatibly on $F$, we describe the fixed point subgroup of $θ$ on $G$ and the eigenspaces of $θ$ on the Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ in terms of cyclic quivers with involution. More precise classification is given when $\mathfrak{g}$ is a loop Lie algebra, i.e., when $F=\mathbb{C}((t))$.
We show that the fixed-point subvariety of a Nakajima quiver variety under a diagram automorphism is a disconnected union of quiver varieties for the `split-quotient quiver' introduced by Reiten and Riedtmann. As a special case, quiver varieties of type D arise as the connected components of fixed-point subvarieties of diagram involutions of quiver varieties of type A. In the case where the quiver varieties of type A correspond to small self-dual representations, we show that the diagram involutions coincide with classical involutions of two-row Slodowy varieties. It follows that certain quive…
We construct a special embedding of the translation quiver $\mathbb{Z}Q$ in the three-dimensional affine space $\mathbb{R}^{3}$ where $Q$ is a finite connected acyclic quiver and $\mathbb{Z}Q$ contains a local slice whose quiver is isomorphic to the opposite quiver $Q^{op}$ of $Q.$ Via this embedding, we show that there exists an involutive anti-automorphism of the translation quiver $\mathbb{Z}Q.$ As an immediate consequence, we characterize explicitly the group of cluster automorphisms of the cluster algebras of seed $(X,Q)$, where $Q$ and $Q^{op}$ are mutation equivalent.
We define a special sort of weighted oriented graphs, signed quivers. Each of these yields a symmetric quiver, i.e., a quiver endowed with an involutive anti-automorphism and the inherited signs. We develop a representation theory of symmetric quivers, in particular we describe the indecomposable symmetric representations. Their dimensions constitute root systems corresponding to certain symmetrizable generalized Cartan matrices.
We introduce and study the twisted adapted $r$-cluster point and its combinatorial Auslander-Reiten quivers, called twisted AR-quivers and folded AR-quivers, of type $A_{2n+1}$ which are closely related to twisted Coxeter elements and the non-trivial Dynkin diagram automorphism. As applications of the study, we prove that folded AR-quivers encode crucial information on the representation theory of quantum affine algebra $U_q'(B^{(1)}_{n+1})$ such as Dorey's rule and denominator formulas.
As a continuation of the previous paper, we find a combinatorial interpretation of Dorey's rule for type $C_n$ via twisted Auslander-Reiten quivers (AR-quivers) of type $D_{n+1}$, which are combinatorial AR-quivers related to certain Dynkin diagram automorphisms. Combinatorial properties of twisted AR-quivers are useful to understand not only Dorey's rule but also other notions in the representation theory of the quantum affine algebra $U_q'(C_n^{(1)})$ such as denominator formulas. In addition, unlike twisted adapted classes of type $A_{2n-1}$ in the previous paper, we show twisted AR-quivers…
We give an explicit description of the irreducible components of two-row Springer fibers in type A as closed subvarieties in certain Nakajima quiver varieties in terms of quiver representations. By taking invariants under a variety automorphism, we obtain an explicit algebraic description of the irreducible components of two-row Springer fibers of classical type. As a consequence, we discover relations on isotropic flags that describe the irreducible components.
Let M and N be two representations of an extended Dynkin quiver such that the orbit O_N of N is contained in the orbit closure \bar{O_M} and has codimension two. We show that the pointed variety $(\bar{O_M},N)$ is smoothly equivalent to a simple surface singularity of type A_n, or to the cone over a rational normal curve.
We consider a generalization of the quiver varieties of Lusztig and Nakajima to the case of all symmetrizable Kac-Moody Lie algebras. To deal with the non-simply laced case one considers admissible automorphisms of a quiver and the irreducible components of the quiver varieties fixed by this automorphism. We define a crystal structure on these irreducible components and show that the crystals obtained are isomorphic to those associated to the crystal bases of the lower half of the universal enveloping algebra and the irreducible highest weight representations of the non-simply laced Kac-Moody …
We will revisit Wiedemann's classification of Auslander-Reiten quivers of representation-finite Gorenstein orders in this paper. We give a simpler proof of his result in which he described the Auslander-Reiten quiver of a representation-finite Gorenstein order in terms of a Dynkin diagram, a configuration and an automorphism group. A key notion in his result is configurations described in terms of Brauer relations with so-called Straßeneigenschaft. We show that configurations can be described in terms of $2$-Brauer relations very briefly.
We consider (iced) quiver with potential $(\bar{Q}(D), F(D), \bar{W}(D))$ associated to a Postnilov Diagram $D$ and prove the mutation of the quiver with potential $(\bare{Q}(D), F(D), \bar{W}(D))$ is compatible with the geometric exchange of the Postnikov diagram $D$. This ensures we may define a quiver with potential for a Grassmannian cluster algebra. We show such quiver with potential is always rigid (thus non-degenerate) and Jacobian-finite. And in fact, it is the unique non-degenerate (thus unique rigid) quiver with potential associated to the Grassmannian cluster algebra up to right-equ…
We study the cluster automorphism group of a skew-symmetric cluster algebra with geometric coefficients. For this, we introduce the notion of gluing free cluster algebra, and show that under a weak condition the cluster automorphism group of a gluing free cluster algebra is a subgroup of the cluster automorphism group of its principal part cluster algebra (i.e. the corresponding cluster algebra without coefficients). We show that several classes of cluster algebras with coefficients are gluing free, for example, cluster algebras with principal coefficients, cluster algebras with universal geom…
By introducing Frobenius morphisms $F$ on algebras $A$ and their modules over the algebraic closure ${\bar \BF}_q$ of the finite field $\BF_q$ of $q$ elements, we establish a relation between the representation theory of $A$ over ${\bar \BF}_q$ and that of the $F$-fixed point algebra $A^F$ over $\BF_q$. More precisely, we prove that the category $\modh A^F$ of finite dimensional $A^F$-modules is equivalent to the subcategory of finite dimensional $F$-stable $A$-modules, and, when $A$ is finite dimensional, we establish a bijection between the isoclasses of indecomposable $A^F$-modules and the …
We construct tilting modules over Jacobian algebras arising from knots. To a two-bridge knot $L[a_1,\ldots,a_n]$, we associate a quiver $Q$ with potential and its Jacobian algebra $A$. We construct a family of canonical indecomposable $A$-modules $M(i)$, each supported on a different specific subquiver $Q(i)$ of $Q$. Each of the $M(i)$ is expected to parametrize the Jones polynomial of the knot. We study the direct sum $M=\oplus_iM(i)$ of these indecomposables inside the module category of $A$ as well as in the cluster category. In this paper we consider the special case where the two-bridge k…
For a finite dimensional semisimple Lie algebra ${\frak{g}}$ and a root $q$ of unity in a field $k,$ we associate to these data a double quiver $\bar{\cal{Q}}.$ It is shown that a restricted version of the quantized enveloping algebras $U_q(\frak g)$ is a quotient of the double quiver algebra $k\bar{\cal Q}.$
We study fixed-point loci of Nakajima varieties under symplectomorphisms and their anti-symplectic cousins, which are compositions of a diagram automorphism, a reflection functor and a transpose defined by certain bilinear forms. These subvarieties provide a natural home for geometric representation theory of symmetric pairs. In particular, the cohomology of a Steinberg-type variety of the symplectic fixed-point subvarieties is conjecturally related to the universal enveloping algebra of the subalgebra in a symmetric pair. The latter symplectic subvarieties are further used to construct geomet…
Let $Q$ be a finite quiver and $G\subseteq\Aut(\mathbbm{k}Q)$ a finite abelian group. Assume that $\hat{Q}$ and $Γ$ is the generalized Mckay quiver and the valued graph corresponding to $(Q, G)$ respectively. In this paper we discuss the relationship between indecomposable $\hat{Q}$-representations and the root system of Kac-Moody algebra $\mathfrak{g}(Γ)$. Moreover, we may lift $G$ to $\bar{G}\subseteq\Aut(\mathfrak{g}(\hat{Q}))$ such that $\mathfrak{g}(Γ)$ embeds into the fixed point algebra $\mathfrak{g}(\hat{Q})^{\bar{G}}$ and $\mathfrak{g}(\hat{Q})^{\bar{G}}$ as $\mathfrak{g}(Γ)$-module i…

Recently the authors initiated an $\imath$Hall algebra approach to (universal) $\imath$quantum groups arising from quantum symmetric pairs. In this paper we construct and study BGP type reflection functors which lead to isomorphisms of the $\imath$Hall algebras associated to acyclic $\imath$quivers. For Dynkin quivers, these symmetries on $\imath$Hall algebras induce automorphisms of universal $\imath$quantum groups, which are shown to satisfy the braid group relations associated to the restricted Weyl group of a symmetric pair; conjecturally these continue to hold for acyclic quivers/Kac-Mood…
Let $G$ be a reductive group acting on a path algebra $kQ$ as automorphisms. We assume that $G$ admits a graded polynomial representation theory, and the action is polynomial. We describe the quiver $Q_G$ of the smash product algebra $kQ\# k[M_G]^*$, where $M_G$ is the associated algebraic monoid of $G$. We use $Q_G$-representations to construct $G$-invariant representations of $Q$. As an application, we construct algebraic semi-invariants on the quiver representation spaces from those $G$-invariant representations.
We present a sum-product formula for the classical Hall polynomial which is based on tableaux that have been introduced by T. Klein in 1969. In the formula, each summand corresponds to a Klein tableau, while the product is taken over the cardinalities of automorphism groups of short exact sequences which are derived from the tableau. For each such sequence, one can read off from the tableau the summands in an indecomposable decomposition, and the size of their homomorphism and automorphism groups. Klein tableaux are refinements of Littlewood-Richardson tableaux in the sense that each entry $\e…
We study the set S of labelled seeds of a cluster algebra of rank n inside a field F as a homogeneous space for the group M_n of (globally defined) mutations and relabellings. Regular equivalence relations on S are associated to subgroups W of Aut_{M_n}(S), and we thus obtain groupoids W \ S. We show that for two natural choices of equivalence relation, the corresponding groups W^c and W^+ act on F, and the groupoids W^c \ S and W^+ \ S on the model field K=Q(x_1,...,x_n). The groupoid W^+ \ S is equivalent to Fock-Goncharov's cluster modular groupoid. Moreover, W^c is isomorphic to the group …

We construct bar-invariant $\mathbb{Z}[q^{\pm 1/2}]-$bases of the quantum cluster algebra of the Kronecker quiver which are quantum analogues of the canonical basis, semicanonical basis and dual semicanonical basis of the cluster algebra of the Kronecker quiver in the sense of \cite{sherzel},\cite{calzel} and \cite{gls} respectively. As a byproduct, we prove the positivity of the elements in these bases.
We describe presentations of braid groups of type ADE and show how these presentations are compatible with mutation of quivers, building on work of Barot and Marsh for Coxeter groups. In types A and D these presentations can be understood geometrically using triangulated surfaces. We then give a categorical interpretation of the presentations, with the new generators acting as spherical twists at simple modules on derived categories of Ginzburg dg-algebras of quivers with potential.
Let $C_n$ be the group of conjugating automorphisms. We study the representation $ρ$ of $C_n$, an extension of Lawrence-Krammer representation of the braid group $B_n$, defined by Valerij G. Bardakov. As Bardakov proved that the representation $ρ$ is unfaithful for $n \geq 5$, the cases $n=3,4$ remain open. In our work, we make attempts towards the faithfulness of $ρ$ in the case $n=3$.
We study the representations of the group $\mathbb{Z}_2^{*n}$, the free product of $\mathbb{Z}_2$ with itself $n$-times. We use the action of $B_n = S_2 \wr S_n $ as algebra automorphisms on the group algebra $\mathbb{C}(\mathbb{Z}_2^{*n})$ to find the components that contain simple representations and to study smoothness of their GIT-quotients. In particular, all the possible local quiver settings are studied for the component containing the standard $n$-dimensional representation of $S_{n+1}$.
For each algebra of global dimension 2 arising from the quiver with potential associated to a triangulation of an unpunctured surface, Amiot-Grimeland have defined an integer-valued function on the first singular homology group of the surface, and have proved that two such algebras of global dimension 2 are derived equivalent precisely when there exists an automorphism of the surface that makes their associated functions coincide. In the present paper we generalize the constructions and results of Amiot-Grimeland to the setting of arbitrarily punctured surfaces. As an application, we show that…
Let $D$ be a $p$-divisible group over an algebraically closed field $k$ of characteristic $p>0$. Let $n_D$ be the smallest non-negative integer such that $D$ is determined by $D[p^{n_D}]$ within the class of $p$-divisible groups over $k$ of the same codimension $c$ and dimension $d$ as $D$. We study $n_D$, lifts of $D[p^m]$ to truncated Barsotti--Tate groups of level $m+1$ over $k$, and the numbers $γ_D(i):=\dim(\pmb{Aut}(D[p^i]))$. We show that $n_D\le cd$, $(γ_D(i+1)-γ_D(i))_{i\in\Bbb N}$ is a decreasing sequence in $\Bbb N$, for $cd>0$ we have $γ_D(1)<γ_D(2)<...<γ_D(n_D)$, and for $m\in\{1,…
We define and study the category $\RepQ$ of representations of a quiver in $\VFun$ - the category of vector spaces "over $\Fun$". $\RepQ$ is an $\Fun$-linear category possessing kernels, co-kernels, and direct sums. Moreover, $\RepQ$ satisfies analogues of the Jordan-Hölder and Krull-Schmidt theorems. We are thus able to define the Hall algebra $\HQ$ of $\RepQ$, which behaves in some ways like the specialization at $q=1$ of the Hall algebra of $\on{Rep}(\Q, \mathbf{F}_q)$. We prove the existence of a Hopf algebra homomorphism of $ ρ': \U(\n_+) \rightarrow \HQ$, from the enveloping algebra of t…
We study polynomial generalizations of the Kontsevich automorphisms acting on the skew-field of formal rational expressions in two non-commuting variables. Our main result is the Laurentness and pseudo-positivity of iterations of these automorphisms. The resulting expressions are described combinatorially using a generalization of the combinatorics of compatible pairs in a maximal Dyck path developed by Lee, Li, and Zelevinsky. By specializing to quasi-commuting variables we obtain pseudo-positive expressions for rank 2 quantum generalized cluster variables. In the binomial case when all inter…
In a recent paper by K.-H. Lee, K. Lee and M. Mills, a mutation of reflections in the universal Coxeter group is defined in association with a mutation of a quiver. A matrix representation of these reflections is determined by a linear ordering on the set of vertices of the quiver. It was conjectured that there exists an ordering (called a pseudo-acyclic ordering in this paper) such that whenever two mutation sequences of a quiver lead to the same labeled seed, the representations of the associated reflections also coincide. In this paper, we prove this conjecture for every quiver mutation-equ…
Let $Q$ be the affine quiver of type $\widetilde{A}_{2n-1,1}$ and $\mathcal{A}_{q}(Q)$ be the quantum cluster algebra associated to the valued quiver $(Q,(2,2,\dots,2))$. We prove some cluster multiplication formulas, and deduce that the cluster variables associated with vertices of $Q$ satisfy a quantum analogue of the constant coefficient linear relations. We then construct two bar-invariant $\mathbb{Z}[q^{\pm\frac{1}{2}}]$-bases $\mathcal{B}$ and $\mathcal{S}$ of $\mathcal{A}_{q}(Q)$ consisting of positive elements, and prove that $\mathcal{B}$ is an atomic basis.
