We present the q-deformed counterpart of the local representations of the (1+1) extended Galilei group. These representations act on the space of wavefunctions defined in the space-time. As in the classical case the q-local representations are reducible and the condition of irreducibility is given by the q-Casimir equation that in the limit of the deformation parameter going to zero becomes the Schroedinger equation of a free particle.
All bialgebra structures for centrally extended Galilei algebra are classified. The corresponding Lie-Poisson structures on centrally extended Galilei group are found.
The Lie bialgebras of the (1+1) extended Galilei algebra are obtained and classified into four multiparametric families. Their quantum deformations are obtained, together with the corresponding deformed Casimir operators. For the coboundary cases quantum universal R-matrices are also given. Applications of the quantum extended Galilei algebras to classical integrable systems are explicitly developed.
The $\hatκ$-deformed extended Galilei Hopf group algebra, ${\rm Fun}_{\hatκ}(\tilde G_{(m)})$, is introduced. It provides an example of a cocycle bicrossproduct structure, and is shown to be the contraction limit of a pseudoextension of the $κ$-Poincaré group algebra. The possibility of obtaining another deformed extended Galilei groups is discussed, including one obtained from a non-standard Poincaré deformation.
The Poisson structures on two-dimensional Galilei group, classified in the author previous paper are quantized. The dual quantum Galilei Lie algebras are found.
A particular deformation of central extended Galilei group is considered. It is shown that the deformation influences the rules of constructing the composed systems while one particle states remain basically unaffected. In particular the mass appeared to be non additive.
The quantum Galilei group $G_{\varkappa}$ is defined. The bicrossproduct structure of $G_{\varkappa}$ and the corresponding Lie algebra is revealed. The projective representations for the two-dimensional quantum Galilei group are constructed.
We present a method to construct induced representations of quantum algebras having the structure of bicrossproduct. We apply this procedure to some quantum kinematical algebras in (1+1)--dimensions with this kind of structure: null-plane quantum Poincare algebra, non-standard quantum Galilei algebra and quantum kappa Galilei algebra.
We present a unified study of some aspects of quantum bicrossproduct algebras of inhomogeneous Lie algebras, like Poincare, Galilei and Euclidean in N dimensions. The action associated to the bicrossproduct structure allows to obtain a nonlinear action over a new group linked to the translations. This new nonlinear action associates a dynamical system to each generator which is the object of study in this paper.
The deformations of the Galilei algebra and their associated noncommutative Newtonian spacetimes are investigated. This is done by analyzing the possible nonrelativistic limits of an eleven generator (pseudo)extended \kap-Poincaré algebra $\tilde{\cal P}_κ$ and their implications for the existence of a first order differential calculus. The additional one-form needed to achieve a consistent calculus on \kap-Minkowski space is shown to be related to the additional central generator entering in the $\tilde{\cal P}_κ$ Hopf algebra. In the process, deformations of the extended Galilei and Galilei …
We discuss quantum deformations of Lie algebra as described by the noncoassociative modification of its coalgebra structure. We consider for simplicity the quantum $D=1$ Galilei algebra with four generators: energy $H$, boost $B$, momentum $P$ and central generator $M$ (mass generator). We describe the nonprimitive coproducts for $H$ and $B$ and show that their noncocommutative and noncoassociative structure is determined by the two-body interaction terms. Further we consider the case of physical Galilei symmetry in three dimensions. Finally we discuss the noninteraction theorem for manifestly…
All Lie bialgebra structures for the (1+1)-dimensional centrally extended Schrodinger algebra are explicitly derived and proved to be of the coboundary type. Therefore, since all of them come from a classical r-matrix, the complete family of Schrodinger Poisson-Lie groups can be deduced by means of the Sklyanin bracket. All possible embeddings of the harmonic oscillator, extended Galilei and gl(2) Lie bialgebras within the Schrodinger classification are studied. As an application, new quantum (Hopf algebra) deformations of the Schrodinger algebra, including their corresponding quantum universa…
An embedding method to get $q$-deformations for the non--semisimple algebras generating the motion groups of $N$--dimensional flat spaces is presented. This method gives a global and simultaneous scheme of $q$-deformation for all $iso(p,q)$ algebras and for those ones obtained from them by some Inönü--Wigner contractions, such as the $N$--dimensional Euclidean, Poincaré and Galilei algebras.
In this paper we show how to construct explicitly induced representations for bicrossproduct Hopf algebras with abelian kernels starting from one-dimensional characters of the commutative sector. We introduce this technique by means of two concrete physical examples: two quantum deformations of the (1+1) Galilei algebra.
We construct the induced representations of the null-plane quantum Poincaré and quantum kappa Galilei algebras in (1+1) dimensions. The induction procedure makes use of the concept of module and is based on the existence of a pair of Hopf algebras with a nondegenerate pairing and dual bases.
We analyze the elements characterizing the theory of induced representations of Lie groups, in order to generalize it to quantum groups. We emphasize the geometric and algebraic aspects of the theory, because they are more suitable for generalization in the framework of Hopf algebras. As an example, we present the induced representations of a quantum deformation of the extended Galilei algebra in (1+1) dimensions.
A Poisson--Hopf algebra of smooth functions on the (1+1) Cayley--Klein groups is constructed by using a classical $r$--matrix which is invariant under contraction. The quantization of this algebra for the Euclidean, Galilei and Poincaré cases is developed, and their duals are also computed. Contractions on these quantum groups are studied.
A global model of $q$-deformation for the quasi--orthogonal Lie algebras generating the groups of motions of the four--dimensional affine Cayley--Klein geometries is obtained starting from the three dimensional deformations. It is shown how the main algebraic classical properties of the CK systems can be implemented in the quantum case. Quantum deformed versions of either the space--time or space symmetry algebras (Poincaré (3+1), Galilei (3+1), 4D Euclidean as well as others) appear in this context as particular cases and several $q$-deformations for them are directly obtained.
Unitary representations of kinematical symmetry groups of quantum systems are fundamental in quantum theory. We propose in this paper its generalization to quantum kinematical groups. Using the method, proposed by us in a recent paper (olmo01), to induce representations of quantum bicrossproduct algebras we construct the representations of the family of standard quantum inhomogeneous algebras $U_λ(iso_ω(2))$. This family contains the quantum Euclidean, Galilei and Poincaré algebras, all of them in (1+1) dimensions. As byproducts we obtain the actions of these quantum algebras on regular co-spa…
A universal quasitriangular $R$--matrix for the non-standard quantum (1+1) Poincaré algebra $U_ziso(1,1)$ is deduced by imposing analyticity in the deformation parameter $z$. A family $g_μ$ of ``quantum graded contractions" of the algebra $U_ziso(1,1)\oplus U_{-z}iso(1,1)$ is obtained; this set of quantum algebras contains as Hopf subalgebras with two primitive translations quantum analogues of the two dimensional Euclidean, Poincaré and Galilei algebras enlarged with dilations. Universal $R$--matrices for these quantum Weyl algebras and their associated quantum groups are constructed.
A new "non-standard" quantization of the universal enveloping algebra of the split (natural) real form $so(2,2)$ of $D_2$ is presented. Some (classical) graded contractions of $so(2,2)$ associated to a $Z_2 \times Z_2$ grading are studied, and the automorphisms defining this grading are generalized to the quantum case, thus providing quantum contractions of this algebra. This produces a new family of "non-standard" quantum algebras. Some of these algebras can be realized as (2+1) kinematical algebras; we explicitly introduce a new deformation of Poincaré algebra, which is naturally linked to t…
The standard Faddeev quantization of the simple groups is modified in such a way that the quantum analogs of the nonsemisimple groups are obtained by contractions. The contracted quantum groups are regarded as the algebras of noncommutative functions generated by elements $J_{ik}t_{ik},$ where $J_{ik}$ are some products of generators of the algebra ${\bf D}(ι)$ and $t_{ik}$ are the noncommutative generators of guantum group. Possible contractions of quantum orthogonal groups essentially depend on the choice of primitive elements of the Hopf algebra. All such choices are considered for quantum …
In this paper, we study nullity-2 toroidal extended affine Lie algebras in the context of vertex algebras and their $ϕ$-coordinated modules. Among the main results, we introduce a variant of toroidal extended affine Lie algebras, associate vertex algebras to the variant Lie algebras, and establish a canonical connection between modules for toroidal extended affine Lie algebras and $ϕ$-coordinated modules for these vertex algebras. Furthermore, by employing some results of Billig, we obtain an explicit realization of irreducible modules for the variant Lie algebras.
