Let $Ω$ be a strongly Lipschitz domain of $\reel^n$. Consider an elliptic second order divergence operator $L$ (including a boundary condition on $\partialΩ$) and define a Hardy space by imposing the non-tangential maximal function of the extension of a function $f$ via the Poisson semigroup for $L$ to be in$L^1$. Under suitable assumptions on $L$, we identify this maximal Hardy space with atomic Hardy spaces, namely with $H^1(\reel^n)$ if $Ω=\reel^n$, $H^{1}_{r}(Ω)$ under the Dirichlet boundary condition, and $H^{1}_{z}(Ω)$ under the Neumann boundary condition. In particular, we obtain a new proof of the atomic decomposition for $H^{1}_{z}(Ω)$. A version for local Hardy spaces is also given. We also present an overview of the theory of Hardy spaces and BMO spaces on Lipschitz domains with proofs.
Let $M$ be the Hardy-Littlewood maximal function and $b$ be a locally integrable function. Denote by $M_b$ and $[b,M]$ the maximal commutator and the (nonlinear) commutator of $M$ with $b$. In this paper, the author consider the boundedness of $M_b$ and $[b,M]$ on Lebesgue spaces and Morrey spaces when $b$ belongs to the Lipschitz space, by which some new characterizations of the Lipschitz spaces are given.
We define as a distribution the product of a function (or distribution) h in some Hardy space Hp with a function b in the dual space of Hp. Moreover, we prove that the product bxh may be written as the sum of an integrable function with a distribution that belongs to some Hardy-Orlicz space, or to the same Hardy space Hp, depending on the values of p.
In this paper, we pursue the study of harmonic functions on the real hyperbolic ball started by the second named author. Our focus here is on the theory of Hardy, Hardy-Sobolev and Lipschitz spaces of these functions. We prove here that these spaces admit Fefferman-Stein like characterizations in terms of maximal and square functionals. We further prove that the hyperbolic harmonic extension of Lipschitz functions on the boundary extend into Lipschitz functions on the whole ball.
This paper is concerned with the problem of decomposing a higher order Lipschitz function on a closed Jordan curve $Γ$ into a sum of two polyanalytic functions in each open domain defined by $Γ$. Our basic tools are the Hardy projections related to a singular integral operator arising in polyanalytic function theory, which, as it is proved here, represents an involution operator on the higher order Lipschitz classes. Our result generalizes the classical Hardy decomposition of Holder continuous functions on the boundary of a domain.
We show that the sharp constant in the classical $n$-dimensional Hardy-Leray inequality can be improved for axisymmetric divergence-free fields, and find its optimal value. The same result is obtained for $n=2$ without the axisymmetry assumption.
Let $0<ρ<n$ and $μ^ρ_Ω$ be the parametric Marcinkiewicz integral. In this paper, by using the atomic decomposition theory of weighted Hardy and weak Hardy spaces, we will obtain the boundedness properties of $μ^ρ_Ω$ on these spaces, under the Lipschitz condition imposed on the kernel $Ω$.
The aim of this article is to give a complete solution to the problem of the bilinear decompositions of the products of some Hardy spaces $H^p(\mathbb{R}^n)$ and their duals in the case when $p<1$ and near to $1$, via wavelets, paraproducts and the theory of bilinear Calderón-Zygmund operators. Precisely, the authors establish the bilinear decompositions of the product spaces $H^p(\mathbb{R}^n)\times\dotΛ_α (\mathbb{R}^n)$ and $H^p(\mathbb{R}^n)\timesΛ_α(\mathbb{R}^n)$, where, for all $p\in(\frac{n}{n+1},\,1)$ and $α:=n(\frac{1}{p}-1)$, $H^p(\mathbb{R}^n)$ denotes the classical real Hardy spac…
Let $Ω$ be a strongly Lipschitz domain of $\mathbb{R}^n$, whose complement in $\mathbb{R}^n$ is unbounded. Let $L$ be a second order divergence form elliptic operator on $L^2 (Ω)$ with the Dirichlet boundary condition, and the heat semigroup generated by $L$ have the Gaussian property $(G_{\mathrm{diam}(Ω)})$ with the regularity of their kernels measured by $μ\in(0,1]$, where $\mathrm{diam}(Ω)$ denotes the diameter of $Ω$. Let $Φ$ be a continuous, strictly increasing, subadditive and positive function on $(0,\infty)$ of upper type 1 and of strictly critical lower type $p_Φ\in(n/(n+μ),1]$. In t…
Let $Ω$ be either $\mathbb{R}^n$ or an unbounded strongly Lipschitz domain of $\mathbb{R}^n$, and $Φ$ be a continuous, strictly increasing, subadditive and positive function on $(0,\infty)$ of upper type 1 and of strictly critical lower type $p_Φ\in(n/(n+1),1]$. Let $L$ be a divergence form elliptic operator on $L^2 (Ω)$ with the Neumann boundary condition and the heat semigroup generated by $L$ have the Gaussian property $(G_{\infty})$. In this paper, the authors introduce the Orlicz-Hardy space $H_{Φ,\,L}(Ω)$ via the nontangential maximal function associated with $\{e^{-t\sqrt{L}}\}_{t\ge0}$…
Our aim is to characterize the Lipschitz functions by variable exponent Lebesgue spaces. We give some characterizations of the boundedness of the maximal or nonlinear commutators of the Hardy-Littlewood maximal function and sharp maximal function in variable exponent Lebesgue spaces when the symbols $b$ belong to the Lipschitz spaces, by which some new characterizations of Lipschitz spaces and nonnegative Lipschitz functions are obtained. Some equivalent relations between the Lipschitz norm and the variable exponent Lebesgue norm are also given.
In this note, we aim to describe sharp constants for the composition operator with a bi-Lipschitz measure-preserving map in several functional spaces (BMO, Hardy space, Carleson measures, ...). It is interesting to see how the measure preserving property allows us to improve these constants. Moreover, we will prove the optimality of our results for the BMO space and describe improved estimates for solutions of transport PDEs.
Let $\T (0\leq α<n)$ be the singular and fractional integrals with variable kernel $Ω(x,z)$, and $[b,\T]$ be the commutator generated by $\T$ and a Lipschitz function $b$. In this paper, the authors study the boundedness of $[b,\T]$ on the Hardy spaces, under some assumptions such as the $L^r$-Dini condition. Similar results and the weak type estimates at the end-point cases are also given for the homogeneous convolution operators $\tT (0\leq α<n)$. The smoothness conditions imposed on $\tOmega$ are weaker than the corresponding known results.
In this PhD thesis we are dealing with convergence and summability of partial sums, Fejér and Marcinkiewicz means with respect to one- and two-dimensional Walsh-Fourier series on the martingale Hardy spaces. This thesis is focus to achieve the following main results: To find estimation of convergence and divergence of the subsequences of partial sums of the one-dimensional Walsh-Fourier series on the martingale Hardy spaces $H_p(G)$, when $0<p\leq1$. To find necessary and sufficient conditions in terms of modulus of continuity of martingale Hardy spaces, for which subsequences of partial sums …
We prove that a $IR n+1$-valued vector field on IR n is the sum of the traces of two harmonic gradients, one in each component of $IR n+1 \ IR n$ , and of a $IR n$-valued divergence free vector field. We apply this to the description of vanishing potentials in divergence form. The results are stated in terms of Clifford Hardy spaces, the structure of which is important for our study.
This paper provides equivalence characterizations of homogeneous Triebel-Lizorkin and Besov-Lipschitz spaces, denoted by $\dot{F}^s_{p,q}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ and $\dot{B}^s_{p,q}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ respectively, in terms of maximal functions of the mean values of iterated difference. It also furnishes the reader with inequalities in $\dot{F}^s_{p,q}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ in terms of iterated difference and in terms of iterated difference along coordinate axes. The corresponding inequalities in $\dot{B}^s_{p,q}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ in terms of iterated difference and in terms of iterated difference along coordinate …
Let $p\in(0,1)$, $α:=1/p-1$ and, for any $τ\in [0,\infty)$, $Φ_{p}(τ):=τ/(1+τ^{1-p})$. Let $H^p(\mathbb R^n)$, $h^p(\mathbb R^n)$ and $Λ_{nα}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ be, respectively, the Hardy space, the local Hardy space and the inhomogeneous Lipschitz space on $\mathbb{R}^n$. In this article, applying the inhomogeneous renormalization of wavelets, the authors establish a bilinear decomposition for multiplications of elements in $h^p(\mathbb R^n)$ [or $H^p(\mathbb R^n)$] and $Λ_{nα}(\mathbb{R}^n)$, and prove that these bilinear decompositions are sharp in some sense. As applications, the authors also…

Let $φ:\mathbb{R}^n\times[0,\,\infty) \rightarrow [0,\,\infty)$ satisfy that $φ(x,\,\cdot)$, for any given $x\in\mathbb{R}^n$, is an Orlicz function and $φ(\cdot\,,t)$ is a Muckenhoupt $A_\infty$ weight uniformly in $t\in(0,\,\infty)$. The Musielak-Orlicz Hardy space $H^φ(\mathbb{R}^n)$ generalizes both of the weighted Hardy space and the Orlicz Hardy space and hence has a wide generality. In this paper, the authors first prove the completeness of both of the Musielak-Orlicz space $L^φ(\mathbb{R}^n)$ and the weak Musielak-Orlicz space $WL^φ(\mathbb{R}^n)$. Then the authors obtain two boundedne…
Let $L$ be a homogeneous divergence form higher order elliptic operator with complex bounded measurable coefficients on $\mathbb{R}^n$ and $X$ a ball quasi-Banach function space on $\mathbb{R}^n$ satisfying some mild assumptions. Denote by $H_{X,\, L}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ the Hardy space, associated with both $L$ and $X$, which is defined via the Lusin area function related to the semigroup generated by $L$. In this article, the authors establish both the maximal function and the Riesz transform characterizations of $H_{X,\, L}(\mathbb{R}^n)$. The results obtained in this article have a wide range o…
We show existence and uniqueness for the solutions of the regularity and the Neumann problems for harmonic functions on Lipschitz domains with data in the Hardy spaces H^p, p>2/3, where This in turn implies that solutions to the Dirichlet problem with data in the Holder class C^{1/2}(\partial D) are themselves in C^{1/2}(D). Both of these results are sharp. In fact, we prove a more general statement regarding the H^p solvability for divergence form elliptic equations with bounded measurable coefficients. We also prove similar solvability result for the regularity and Dirichlet problem for the …
We extend to multilinear Hankel operators the fact that some truncations of bounded Hankel operators are bounded. We prove and use a continuity property of bilinear Hilbert transforms on products of Lipschitz spaces and Hardy spaces.
We extend to multilinear Hankel operators the fact that truncation of bounded Hankel operators is bounded. We prove and use a continuity property of a kind of bilinear Hilbert transforms on product of Lipschitz spaces and Hardy spaces.
We obtain sufficient and necessary conditions on weight functions $s_1(t),\ldots,s_m(t)$ and $ψ(t)$ so that the weighted multilinear Hardy-Cesàro operator \[(f_1,\ldots,f_m)\mapsto \int_{[0,1]^n}\left(\prod_{k=1}^nf_k\left(s_k(t) x\right)\right)ψ(t)dt \] is bounded from $\dot{K}^{α_1, p_1}_{q_1}(ω_1)\times \cdots \times\dot{K}^{α_m, p_m}_{q_m}(ω_m)$ to $\dot{K}^{α, p}_{q}(ω)$ and from $M\dot{K}^{α_1, λ_1}_{p_1,q_1}(ω_1)\times \cdots \times M\dot{K}^{α_m, λ_m}_{p_m,q_m}(ω_m)$ to $M\dot{K}^{α, λ}_{p,q}(ω)$. The sharp bounds are also obtained and these results hold for both cases $0<p<1$ and $1\l…
Let $μ$ be a non-negative Radon measure on ${\mathbb R}^d$ which only satisfies the polynomial growth condition. Let ${\mathcal Y}$ be a Banach space and $H^1(μ)$ the Hardy space of Tolsa. In this paper, the authors prove that a linear operator $T$ is bounded from $H^1(μ)$ to ${\mathcal Y}$ if and only if $T$ maps all $(p, γ)$-atomic blocks into uniformly bounded elements of ${\mathcal Y}$; moreover, the authors prove that for a sublinear operator $T$ bounded from $L^1(μ)$ to $L^{1, \infty}(μ)$, if $T$ maps all $(p, γ)$-atomic blocks with $p\in(1, \infty)$ and $γ\in{\mathbb N}$ into uniformly …
Let $p\in(0, 1]$. In this paper, the authors prove that a sublinear operator $T$ (which is originally defined on smooth functions with compact support) can be extended as a bounded sublinear operator from product Hardy spaces $H^p({{\mathbb R}^n\times{\mathbb R}^m})$ to some quasi-Banach space ${\mathcal B}$ if and only if $T$ maps all $(p, 2, s_1, s_2)$-atoms into uniformly bounded elements of ${\mathcal B}$. Here $s_1\ge\lfloor n(1/p-1)\rfloor$ and $s_2\ge\lfloor m(1/p-1)\rfloor$. As usual, $\lfloor n(1/p-1)\rfloor$ denotes the maximal integer no more than $n(1/p-1)$. Applying this result, t…
Let $L$ be a homogeneous divergence form higher order elliptic operator with complex bounded measurable coefficients and $(p_-(L),\, p_+(L))$ be the maximal interval of exponents $q\in[1,\,\infty]$ such that the semigroup $\{e^{-tL}\}_{t>0}$ is bounded on $L^q(\mathbb{R}^n)$. In this article, the authors establish the non-tangential maximal function characterizations of the associated Hardy spaces $H_L^p(\mathbb{R}^n)$ for all $p\in(0,\,p_+(L))$, which, when $p=1$, answers a question asked by Deng et al. in [J. Funct. Anal. 263 (2012), 604-674]. Moreover, the authors characterize $H_L^p(\mathb…

As applications, the authors show that $(\mathrm{VMO}_{ρ,L} ({\mathbb R}^n))^\ast=B_{ω,L^\ast}({\mathbb R}^n)$, where $L^\ast$ denotes the adjoint operator of $L$ in $L^2({\mathbb R}…
Let $L_1$ be a nonnegative self-adjoint operator in $L^2({\mathbb R}^n)$ satisfying the Davies-Gaffney estimates and $L_2$ a second order divergence form elliptic operator with complex bounded measurable coefficients. A typical example of $L_1$ is the Schrödinger operator $-Δ+V$, where $Δ$ is the Laplace operator on ${\mathbb R}^n$ and $0\le V\in L^1_{\mathop\mathrm{loc}} ({\mathbb R}^n)$. Let $H^p_{L_i}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ be the Hardy space associated to $L_i$ for $i\in\{1,\,2\}$. Given a Muckenhoupt weight $w$ and a second order divergence form elliptic operator $L$, we consider different versions of the weighted Hardy space $H^1_L(w)$ defined by conical square functions and non-tangential maximal functions associated with the heat and Poisson semigroups generated by $L$. We show that all of them are isomorphic and also that $H^1_L(w)$ admits a molecular characterization. One of the advantages of our methods is that our assumptions extend naturally the unweighted theory developed by S. Hofmann and S. Mayboroda and we can immediately recover the unweighted case. Some of…
Let $n\ge2$ and $Ω$ be a bounded non-tangentially accessible domain (for short, NTA domain) of $\mathbb{R}^n$. Assume that $L_D$ is a second-order divergence form elliptic operator having real-valued, bounded, measurable coefficients on $L^2(Ω)$ with the Dirichlet boundary condition. The main aim of this article is threefold. First, the authors prove that the heat kernels $\{K_t^{L_D}\}_{t>0}$ generated by $L_D$ are Hölder continuous. Second, for any $p\in(0,1]$, the authors introduce the `geometrical' Hardy space $H^p_r(Ω)$ by restricting any element of the Hardy space $H^p(\mathbb{R}^n)$ to …
Let $L$ be a non-negative self-adjoint operator on $L^2(\mathbb{R}^n)$ whose heat kernels have the Gaussian upper bound estimates. Assume that the growth function $φ:\,\mathbb{R}^n\times[0,\infty) \to[0,\infty)$ satisfies that $φ(x,\cdot)$ is an Orlicz function and $φ(\cdot,t)\in {\mathbb A}_{\infty}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ (the class of uniformly Muckenhoupt weights). Let $H_{φ,\,L}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ be the Musielak-Orlicz-Hardy space introduced via the Lusin area function associated with the heat semigroup of $L$. In this article, the authors obtain several maximal function characterizations of the spac…
This is the first part of a series of three articles. In this paper, we obtain weighted norm inequalities for different conical square functions associated with the Heat and the Poisson semigroups generated by a second order divergence form elliptic operator with bounded complex coefficients. We find classes of Muckenhoupt weights where the square functions are comparable and/or bounded. These classes are natural from the point of view of the ranges where the unweighted estimates hold. In doing that, we obtain sharp weighted change of angle formulas which allow us to compare conical square fun…
We introduce $B_w^u$-function spaces which unify Lebesgue, Morrey-Campanato, Lipschitz, $B^p$, CMO, local Morrey-type spaces, etc., and investigate the interpolation property of $B_w^u$-function spaces. We also apply it to the boundedness of linear and sublinear operators, for example, the Hardy-Littlewood maximal and fractional maximal operators, singular and fractional integral operators with rough kernel, the Littlewood-Paley operator, Marcinkiewicz operator, and so on.
Let $L$ be a one-to-one operator of type $ω$ in $L^2(\mathbb{R}^n)$, with $ω\in[0,\,π/2)$, which has a bounded holomorphic functional calculus and satisfies the Davies-Gaffney estimates. Let $p(\cdot):\ \mathbb{R}^n\to(0,\,1]$ be a variable exponent function satisfying the globally log-Hölder continuous condition. In this article, the authors introduce the variable Hardy space $H^{p(\cdot)}_L(\mathbb{R}^n)$ associated with $L$. By means of variable tent spaces, the authors establish the molecular characterization of $H^{p(\cdot)}_L(\mathbb{R}^n)$. Then the authors show that the dual space of $…
Let $\mathcal{X}$ be a metric space with doubling measure and $L$ a non-negative self-adjoint operator on $L^2(\mathcal{X})$ whose heat kernels satisfy the Gaussian upper bound estimates. We establish new Calderón reproducing formulas for self-adjoint operators $D$ that generate strongly continuous groups with finite propagation speed. These formulas allow the analysing function to interact with $D$ through holomorphic functional calculus whilst the synthesising function interacts with $D$ through functional calculus based on the Fourier transform. We apply these to prove the embedding $H^p_D(\wedge T^*M) \subseteq L^p(\wedge T^*M)$, $1\leq p\leq 2$, for the Hardy spaces of differential forms introduced by Auscher, McIntosh and Russ, where $D=d+d^*$ is the Hodge--Dirac operator…
We establish the interior and exterior Gauss-Green formulas for divergence-measure fields in $L^p$ over general open sets, motivated by the rigorous mathematical formulation of the physical principle of balance law via the Cauchy flux in the axiomatic foundation, for continuum mechanics allowing discontinuities and singularities. The method, based on a distance function, allows to give a representation of the interior (resp. exterior) normal trace of the field on the boundary of any given open set as the limit of classical normal traces over the boundaries of interior (resp. exterior) smooth a…
