Jiang-Hua Lu showed that any dynamical r-matrix for the pair $(g,u)$ naturally induces a Poisson homogeneous structure on $G/U$. She also proved that if $g$ is complex simple, $u$ is its Cartan subalgebra and $r$ is quasitriangular, then this correspondence is in fact 1-1. In the present paper we find some general conditions under which the Lu correspondence is 1-1. Then we apply this result to describe all triangular Poisson homogeneous structures on $G/U$ for a simple complex group $G$ and its reductive subgroup $U$ containing a Cartan subgroup.
We study maximal Poisson-commutative subalgebras in the Poisson algebra $S(\mathfrak{g})$ of a semisimple Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ constructed by Mischenko and Fomenko with the help of the argument shift method. We prove that these subalgebras are Poisson centralizers of certain quadratic elements of $S(\mathfrak{g})$. We deduce from this that there is a unique quantization of Mischenko--Fomenko subalgebras, i.e. there is a unique way to lift Mischenko--Fomenko subalgebras to commutative subalgebras of the universal enveloping algebra $U(\mathfrak{g})$.
A Poisson geometry arising from maximal commutative subalgebras is studied. A spectral sequence convergent to Hochschild homology with coefficients in a bimodule is presented. It depends on the choice of a maximal commutative subalgebra inducing appropriate filtrations. Its E^{2}_{p,q}-groups are computed in terms of canonical homology with values in a Poisson module defined by a given bimodule and a maximal commutative subalgebra.
The Poisson centralizer of the trace element is determined in the coordinate ring of SL_n endowed with the Poisson structure obtained as the semiclassical limit of its quantized coordinate ring. It turns out that this maximal Poisson-commutative subalgebra coincides with the subalgebra of invariants with respect to the adjoint action.
In his paper "A Construction for Coisotropic Subalgebras of Lie Bialgebras", Marco Zambon gave a way to use a long root of a complex semisimple Lie biaglebra $\mathfrak{g}$ to construct a coisotropic subalgebra of $\mathfrak{g}$. In this paper, we generalize Zambon's construction. Our construction is based on the theory of Lagrangian subalgebras of the double $\mathfrak{g}\oplus\mathfrak{g}$ of $\mathfrak{g}$, and our coisotropic subalgebras correspond to torus fixed points in the variety $\mathcal{L}(\mathfrak{g}\oplus\mathfrak{g})$ of Lagrangian subalgebras of $\mathfrak{g}\oplus\mathfrak{g}…
We give the analogue for Hopf algebras of the polyuble Lie bialgebra construction by Fock and Rosli. By applying this construction to the Drinfeld-Jimbo quantum group, we obtain a deformation quantization $\mathbb{C}_\hslash[(N \backslash G)^m]$ of a Poisson structure $π^{(m)}$ on products $(N \backslash G)^m$ of principal affine spaces of a connected and simply connected complex semisimple Lie group $G$. The Poisson structure $π^{(m)}$ descends to a Poisson structure $π_m$ on products $(B \backslash G)^m$ of the flag variety of $G$ which was introduced and studied by the Lu and the author. An…
We study Manin triples for a reductive Lie algebra, $\g$. First, we generalize results of E. Karolinsky, on the classification of Lagrangian subalgebras (cf. KAROLINSKY E., {\em A Classification of Poisson homogeneous spaces of a compact Poisson Lie group}, Dokl. Ak. Nauk, 359 (1998), 13-15). Then we show that, if $\g$ is non commutative, one can attach, to each Manin triple in $\g$, an other one for a strictly smaller reductive complex Lie subalgebra of $\g$. We study also the inverse process.
For any semisimple Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$, the universal enveloping algebra of the infinite-dimensional pro-nilpotent Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}_-:=\mathfrak{g}\otimes t^{-1}\mathbb{C}[t^{-1}]$ contains a large commutative subalgebra $\mathcal{A}\subset U(\mathfrak{g}_-)$. This subalgebra comes from the center of the universal enveloping of the affine Kac--Moody algebra $\hat{\mathfrak{g}}$ at the critical level and gives rise to the construction of higher hamiltonians of the Gaudin model (due to Feigin, Frenkel and Reshetikhin). Though there are no explicit formulas for the generators of $…
When ${\frak g}$ is a complex semisimple Lie algebra, we study the variety ${\mathcal L}$ of subalgebras of ${\frak g}\oplus{\frak g}$ that are maximally isotropic with respect to $K_1 - K_2$, where $K_i$ is the Killing form on the ith factor. We show the irreducible components of ${\mathcal L}$ are smooth, classify them in terms of the generalized Belavin-Drinfeld triples introduced by Schiffmann, and relate them to orbits of the adjoint group $G\times G$. Building on ideas of Yakimov, we give a new proof of Karolinsky's classification of the diagonal $G$-orbits in ${\mathcal L}$. Our proof e…
Let $\g$ be a finite dimensional complex Lie algebra and $ł\subset \g$ a Lie subalgebra equipped with the structure of a factorizable quasitriangular Lie bialgebra. Consider the Lie group $\Exp ł$ with the Semenov-Tjan-Shansky Poisson bracket as a Poisson Lie manifold for the double Lie bialgebra $\Dł$. Let $\Nc_ł(0)\subset ł$ be an open domain parameterizing a neighborhood of the identity in $\Exp ł$ by the exponential map. We present dynamical $r$-matrices with values in $\g\wedge \g$ over the Poisson Lie base manifold $\Nc_ł(0)$.
Let $G$ be a complex reductive connected algebraic group equipped with the Sklyanin bracket. A classification of Poisson homogeneous $G$-spaces with connected isotropy subgroups is given. This result is based on Drinfeld's correspondence between Poisson homogeneous $G$-spaces and Lagrangian subalgebras in the double $D(g)$ (here $g = Lie G$). A geometric interpretation of some of Poisson homogeneous $G$-spaces is also proposed.
We prove a result that can be applied to determine the finite-dimensional simple Poisson modules over a Poisson algebra and apply it to numerous examples. In the discussion of the examples, the emphasis is on the correspondence with the finite-dimensional simple modules over deformations and on the behaviour of finite-dimensional simple Poisson modules on the passage from a Poisson algebra to the Poisson subalgebra of invariants for the action of a finite group of Poisson automorphisms.
The purpose of this paper is to establish a connection between various subjects such as dynamical r-matrices, Lie bialgebroids, and Lagrangian subalgebras. Our method relies on the theory of Dirac structures developed in dg-ga/9508013 and dg-ga/9611001. In particular, we give a new method of classifying dynamical r-matrices of simple Lie algebras $\frak g$, and prove that dynamical r-matrices are in one-one correspondence with certain Lagrangian subalgebras of ${\frak g}\oplus \frak g$.
The quantization properties of composite peripheric twists are studied. Peripheric chains of extended twists are constructed for U(sl(N)) in order to obtain composite twists with sufficiently large carrier subalgebras. It is proved that the peripheric chains can be enlarged with additional Reshetikhin and Jordanian factors. This provides the possibility to construct new solutions to Drinfeld equations and, thus, to quantize new sets of Lie-Poisson structures. When the Jordanian additional factors are used the carrier algebras of the enlarged peripheric chains are transformed into algebras of m…
To each simple Lie algebra g and an element w of the corresponding Weyl group De Concini, Kac and Procesi associated a subalgebra U^w_- of the quantized universal enveloping algebra U_q(g), which is a deformation of the universal enveloping algebra U(n_- \cap w(n_+)) and a quantization of the coordinate ring of the Schubert cell corresponding to w. The torus invariant prime ideals of these algebras were classified by Mériaux and Cauchon [25], and the author [30]. These ideals were also explicitly described in [30]. They index the the Goodearl-Letzter strata of the stratification of the spectra…
This paper is a continuation of [KS]. We develop the results of [KS] principally in two directions. First, we generalize the main result of [KS], the connection between the solutions of the classical dynamical Yang-Baxter equation and Poisson homogeneous spaces of Poisson Lie groups. We hope that now we present this result in its natural generality. Secondly, we propose a partial quantization of the results of [KS]. [KS] E. Karolinsky and A. Let $\mathfrak g$ be a finite dimensional split semisimple Lie algebra and $λ$ a weight of $\mathfrak g$. Let $F$ be the algebra of quantized regular functions on the connected simply connected group $G$ corresponding to $\mathfrak g$. In the present paper we introduce a certain subspace $F'$ of $F$ (which is not necessary a subalgebra of $F$) and endow it with an associative $\star$-product using the so-called reduced fusion element. We prove that the algebra $(F',\star)$ is isomorphic to $(L(λ))_{fin}$, where $L(λ)$ is the irreducible highest weight $\check{U}_q\mathfrak g$-module and "$fin$…
We consider a generic gauge system, whose physical degrees of freedom are obtained by restriction on a constraint surface followed by factorization with respect to the action of gauge transformations; in so doing, no Hamiltonian structure or action principle is supposed to exist. For such a generic gauge system we construct a consistent BRST formulation, which includes the conventional BV Lagrangian and BFV Hamiltonian schemes as particular cases. If the original manifold carries a weak Poisson structure (a bivector field giving rise to a Poisson bracket on the space of physical observables) t…
We study a class of Poisson-Nijenhuis systems defined on compact hermitian symmetric spaces, where the Nijenhuis tensor is defined as the composition of Kirillov-Konstant-Souriau symplectic form with the so called Bruhat-Poisson structure. We determine its spectrum. In the case of Grassmannians the eigenvalues are the Gelfand-Tsetlin variables. We introduce the abelian algebra of collective hamiltonians defined by a chain of nested subalgebras and prove complete integrability. By construction, these models are integrable with respect to both Poisson structures. The eigenvalues of the Nijenhuis…
