Let V be a bounded, connected linearly convex set in C^n with $C^{1+ε}$-boundary. We show that the maximal ideal (both in A(V) and $H^{\infty}(V)$) consisting of all functions vanishing at p in V is generated by the coordinate functions z_1 - p_1, ..., z_n - p_n.

A Hull with No Nontrivial Gleason Parts

The existence of a nontrivial polynomially convex hull with every point a one-point Gleason part and with no nonzero bounded point derivations is established. This strengthens the \hbox{celebrated} result of Stolzenberg that there exists a nontrivial polynomially convex hull that contains no analytic discs. A doubly generated counterexample to the peak point conjecture is also presented.

Lempert Theorem for stronly linearly convex domains with smooth boundaries

The aim of this paper is to present a detailed and slightly modified version of the proof of the Lempert Theorem in the case of non-planar stronlgy linearly convex domains with C^2 smooth boundaries. On the boundary behaviour of the squeezing function near linearly convex boundary points

The purpose of this article is twofold. The first aim is to prove that if there exist a sequence $\{φ_j\}\subset \mathrm{Aut}(Ω)$ and $a\in Ω$ such that $\lim_{j\to\infty}φ_j(a)=ξ_0$ and $\lim_{j\to\infty}σ_Ω(φ_j(a))=1$, where $ξ_0$ is a linearly convex boundary point of finite type, then $ξ_0$ must be strongly pseudoconvex. Then, the second aim is to investigate the boundary behaviour of the squeezing function of a general ellipsoid.

Regularity of a $\bar\partial$-solution operator for strongly $\mathbf C$-linearly convex domains with minimal smoothness

We prove regularity of solutions of the $\bar\partial$-problem in the Hölder-Zygmund spaces of bounded, strongly $\mathbf C$-linearly convex domains of class $C^{1,1}$. The proofs rely on a new, analytic characterization of said domains which is of independent interest, and on techniques that were recently developed by the first-named author to prove estimates for the $\bar\partial$-problem on strongly pseudoconvex domains of class $C^2$.

Exhausting domains of the symmetrized bidisc

We show that the symmetrized bidisc may be exhausted by strongly linearly convex domains. It shows in particular the existence of a strongly linearly convex domain that cannot be exhausted by domains biholomorphic to convex ones.

Norm preserving extensions of bounded holomorphic functions

A relatively polynomially convex subset $V$ of a domain $Ω$ has the extension property if for every polynomial $p$ there is a bounded holomorphic function $ϕ$ on $Ω$ that agrees with $p$ on $V$ and whose $H^\infty$ norm on $Ω$ equals the sup-norm of $p$ on $V$. We show that if $Ω$ is either strictly convex or strongly linearly convex in ${\mathbb C}^2$, or the ball in any dimension, then the only sets that have the extension property are retracts. Convex domains with locally Levi-flat boundaries

It is shown that a domain in $\C^n$ which is locally convex and has $\mathcal C^1$-smooth Levi-flat boundary is locally linearly equivalent to a Cartesian product of a planar domain and $\C^{n-1}.$ This result does not extend to the case where the Levi form has locally constant rank for some $k<n-1$.
