In this paper we define a new cohomology for multiplicative Hom-associative algebras, which generalize Hochschild cohomology and fits with deformations of Hom-associative algebras including the structure map $α$. We compute the Hochschild cohomology of the reduced incidence algebras such as the algebra of formal power series, the algebra of exponential power series, the algebra of Eulerian power series, and the algebra of formal Dirichlet series. We give a new computation of Hochschild (co)homology of the exterior algebra, together with algebraic structures, by direct comparison with the symmetric algebra. We determine the Batalin-Vilkovisky structure on the Tate-Hochschild cohomology of the group algebra $kG$ of a finite group $G$ in terms of the additive decomposition. In particular, we show that the Tate cohomology of $G$ is a Batalin-Vilkovisky subalgebra of the Tate-Hochschild cohomology of the group algebra $kG$, and that the Tate cochain complex of $G$ is a cyclic $A_{\infty}$-subalgebra of the Tate-Hochschild cochain complex of $kG$.

We generalize the notion of Külshammer ideals to the setting of a graded category. This allows us to define and study some properties of Külshammer type ideals in the graded center of a triangulated category and in the Hochschild cohomology of an algebra, providing new derived invariants. Further properties of Külshammer ideals are studied in the case where the category is $d$-Calabi-Yau.

We present a detailed computation of the cyclic and the Hochschild homology and cohomology of generic and 3-Calabi-Yau homogeneous down-up algebras. We show that for a noetherian algebra $A$ whose bounded dg derived category is smooth, the singular Hochschild cohomology (=Tate--Hochschild cohomology) is isomorphic, as a graded algebra, to the Hochschild cohomology of the dg singularity category of $A$. The existence of such an isomorphism is suggested by recent work of Zhengfang Wang.
