We prove that if two plane curve singularities are equisingular, then they are topologically equivalent. The method we will use is P.~Fortuny~Ayuso's who proved this result for irreducible plane curve singularities.

We introduce moduli spaces of quasi-admissible hyperelliptic covers with at worst A and D singularities. The stability conditions for these moduli spaces depend on two parameters describing allowable singularities. By varying these parameters, we interpolate between the stacks of stable limits of A and D singularities and the quotients of the versal deformation spaces of A and D singularities by a natural $\mathbb{G}_m$ action.

This paper deals with a complete invariant $R_X$ for cyclic quotient surface singularities. This invariant appears in the Riemann Roch and Numerical Adjunction Formulas for normal surface singularities. Our goal is to give an explicit formula for $R_X$ based on the numerical information of $X$, that is, $d$ and $q$ as in $X=X(d;1,q)$. We investigate properties of the contact exponent (in the sense of Hironaka [Hi]) of plane algebroid curve singularities over algebraically closed fields of arbitrary characteristic. We prove that the contact exponent is an equisingularity invariant and give a new proof of the stability of the maximal contact. Then we prove a bound for the Milnor number and determine the equisingularity class of algebroid curves for which this bound is attained. We do not use the method of Newton's diagrams. Given a Mumford curve $X$ over $\bar{\mathbb Q_p}$, we show that for every semistable model $\mathcal X$ of $X$ and every closed point $x$ of this semistable model, there exists a finite étale cover $Y$ of $X$ such that every semistable model of $Y$ has a vertical component above $X$. We then give applications of this to the tempered fundamental group. In particular, we prove that two punctured Tate curves $\bar{\mathbb Q_p}$ with isomorphic tempered fundamental groups are isomorphic over $\mathbb Q_p$.
Let $(S,H)$ be a general primitively polarized $K3$ surface. We prove the existence of curves in $|\mathcal O_S(nH)|$ with $A_k$-singularities and corresponding to regular points of the equisingular deformation locus. Our result is optimal for $n=1$. As a corollary, we get the existence of elliptic curves in $|\mathcal O_S(nH)|$ with a cusp and nodes or a simple tacnode and nodes. We obtain our result by studying the versal deformation family of the $m$-tacnode. Finally, we give a regularity condition for families of curves with only $A_k$-singularities in $|\mathcal O_S(nH)|.$
In this paper, we study polar quotients and Łojasiewicz exponents of plane curve singularities, which are {\em not necessarily reduced}. We first show that the polar quotients is a topological invariant. We next prove that the Łojasiewicz gradient exponent can be computed in terms of the polar quotients, and so it is also a topological invariant. As an application, we give effective estimates of the Łojasiewicz exponents in the gradient and classical inequalities of polynomials in two (real or complex) variables.
