We construct the moduli spaces associated to the solutions of equations of motion (modulo gauge transformations) of the Poisson sigma model with target being an integrable Poisson manifold. The construction can be easily extended to a case of a generic integrable Lie algebroid. Indeed for any Lie algebroid one can associate a BF-like topological field theory which localizes on the space of algebroid morphisms, that can be seen as a generalization of flat connections to the groupoid case. Symplectic structures on the integration of exact Courant algebroids

We construct an infinite-dimensional symplectic 2-groupoid as the integration of an exact Courant algebroid. We show that every integrable Dirac structure integrates to a "Lagrangian" sub-2-groupoid of this symplectic 2-groupoid. As a corollary, we recover a result of Bursztyn-Crainic-Weinstein-Zhu that every integrable Dirac structure integrates to a presymplectic groupoid.

Geometric quantization of Hamiltonian actions of Lie algebroids and Lie groupoids

We construct Hermitian representations of Lie algebroids and associated unitary representations of Lie groupoids by a geometric quantization procedure. For this purpose we introduce a new notion of Hamiltonian Lie algebroid actions. The first step of our procedure consists of the construction of a prequantization line bundle. Next, we discuss a version of Kähler quantization suitable for this setting. We proceed by defining a Marsden-Weinstein quotient for our setting and prove a ``quantization commutes with reduction'' theorem. We explain how our geometric quantization procedure relates to a …

In this master's thesis, we will go into the (projective) blow-up construction for Lie groupoids and Lie algebroids. In the literature, there are different methods to be found on how to do this, especially for Lie groupoids. The main goal of the thesis is to explain, in detail, the Lie groupoid and the Lie algebroid blow-up constructions, but also to examine and compare different points of view. Leaves of stacky Lie algebroids

We show that the leaves of an LA-groupoid which pass through the unit manifold are, modulo a connectedness issue, Lie groupoids. We illustrate this phenomenon by considering the cotangent Lie algebroids of Poisson groupoids thus obtaining an interesting class of symplectic groupoids coming from their symplectic foliations. In particular, we show that for a (strict) Lie 2-group the coadjoint orbits of the units in the dual of its Lie 2-algebra are symplectic groupoids, meaning that the classical Kostant-Kirillov-Souriau symplectic forms on these special coadjoint orbits are multiplicative.

Integration of Lie Algebroid Comorphisms

We show that the path construction integration of Lie algebroids by Lie groupoids is an actual equivalence from the category of integrable Lie algebroids and complete Lie algebroid comorphisms to the category of source 1-connected Lie groupoids and Lie groupoid comorphisms. This allows us to construct an actual symplectization functor in Poisson geometry. We include examples to show that the integrability of comorphisms and Poisson maps may not hold in the absence of a completeness assumption.

Q-groupoids and their cohomology

We approach Mackenzie's LA-groupoids from a supergeometric point of view by introducing Q-groupoids, which are groupoid objects in the category of Q-manifolds. There is a faithful functor from the category of LA-groupoids to the category of Q-groupoids. We associate to every Q-groupoid a double complex that provides a model for the Q-cohomology of the classifying space. As examples, we obtain models for equivariant Q- and orbifold Q-cohomology, and for equivariant Lie algebroid and orbifold Lie algebroid cohomology. Constant Symplectic 2-groupoids

We propose a definition of symplectic 2-groupoid which includes integrations of Courant algebroids that have been recently constructed. We study in detail the simple but illustrative case of constant symplectic 2-groupoids. We show that the constant symplectic 2-groupoids are, up to equivalence, in one-to-one correspondence with a simple class of Courant algebroids that we call constant Courant algebroids. Furthermore, we find a correspondence between certain Dirac structures and Lagrangian sub-2-groupoids.

Cohomology of Lie Groupoid Modules and the Generalized van Est Map

The van Est map is a map from Lie groupoid cohomology (with respect to a sheaf taking values in a representation) to Lie algebroid cohomology. We generalize the van Est map to allow for more general sheaves, namely to sheaves of sections taking values in a (smooth or holomorphic) $G$-module, where $G$-modules are structures which differentiate to representations. Many geometric structures involving Lie groupoids and stacks are classified by the cohomology of sheaves taking values in $G$-modules and not in representations, including $S^1$-groupoid extensions and equivariant gerbes. We define and make initial study of Lie groupoids equipped with a compatible homogeneity (or graded bundle) structure, such objects we will refer to as weighted Lie groupoids. One can think of weighted Lie groupoids as graded manifolds in the category of Lie groupoids. This is a very rich geometrical theory with numerous natural examples. On the integration of LA-groupoids and duality for Poisson groupoids

In this note a functorial approach to the integration problem of an LA-groupoid to a double Lie groupoid is discussed. To do that, we study the notions of fibred products in the categories of Lie groupoids and Lie algebroids, giving necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of such. In particular, it turns out, that the fibred product of Lie algebroids along integrable morphisms is always integrable by a fibred product of Lie groupoids. Pseudodifferential operators on differential groupoids

We construct an algebra of pseudodifferential operators on each groupoid in a class that generalizes differentiable groupoids to allow manifolds with corners. We show that this construction encompasses many examples. The subalgebra of regularizing operators is identified with the smooth algebra of the groupoid, in the sense of non-commutative geometry. Symbol calculus for our algebra lies in the Poisson algebra of functions on the dual of the Lie algebroid of the groupoid. Quantum groupoids

We introduce a general notion of quantum universal enveloping algebroids (QUE algebroids), or quantum groupoids, as a unification of quantum groups and star-products. Some basic properties are studied including the twist construction and the classical limits. In particular, we show that a quantum groupoid naturally gives rise to a Lie bialgebroid as a classical limit. Conversely, we formulate a conjecture on the existence of a quantization for any Lie bialgebroid, and prove this conjecture for the special case of regular triangular Lie bialgebroids. On Hausdorff integrations of Lie algebroids

We present Hausdorff versions for Lie Integration Theorems 1 and 2 and apply them to study Hausdorff symplectic groupoids arising from Poisson manifolds. To prepare for these results we include a discussion on Lie equivalences and propose an algebraic approach to holonomy. We also include subsidiary results, such as a generalization of the integration of subalgebroids to the non-wide case, and explore in detail the case of foliation groupoids.

Quantization of Poisson algebras associated to Lie algebroids

We prove the existence of a strict deformation quantization for the canonical Poisson structure on the dual of an integrable Lie algebroid. It follows that any Lie groupoid C*-algebra may be regarded as a result of a quantization procedure. The C*-algebra of the tangent groupoid of a given Lie groupoid G (with Lie algebra g) is the C*-algebra of a continuous field of C*-algebras over R with fibers A_0=C*(g)=C_0(g*) and A_h=C*(G) for nonzero h. On symplectic double groupoids and the duality of Poisson groupoids

We prove that the cotangent of a double Lie groupoid S has itself a double groupoid structure with sides the duals of associated Lie algebroids, and double base the dual of the Lie algebroid of the core of S. Using this, we prove a result outlined by Weinstein in 1988, that the side groupoids of a general symplectic double groupoid are Poisson groupoids in duality. Further, we prove that any double Lie groupoid gives rise to a pair of Poisson groupoids (and thus of Lie bialgebroids) in duality. Supergroupoids, double structures, and equivariant cohomology

Q-groupoids and Q-algebroids are, respectively, supergroupoids and superalgebroids that are equipped with compatible homological vector fields. These new objects are closely related to the double structures of Mackenzie; in particular, we show that Q-groupoids are intermediary objects between Mackenzie's LA-groupoids and double complexes, which include as a special case the simplicial model of equivariant cohomology. Motivated by a search for Lie group structures on groups of Poisson diffeomorphisms [24], we investigate linearizability of Poisson structures of Poisson groupoids around the unit section. After extending the Lagrangian neighbourhood theorem to the setting of cosymplectic Lie algebroids, we establish that dual integrations of triangular bialgebroids are always linearizable. Symplectic groupoids of log symplectic manifolds

A log symplectic manifold is a Poisson manifold which is generically nondegenerate. We develop two methods for constructing the symplectic groupoids of log symplectic manifolds. The first is a blow-up construction, corresponding to the notion of an elementary modification of a Lie algebroid along a subalgebroid. In this paper we introduce multiplicative Dirac structures on Lie groupoids, providing a unified framework to study both multiplicative Poisson bivectors (i.e., Poisson group(oid)s) and multiplicative closed 2-forms (e.g., symplectic groupoids). Q-algebroids and their cohomology

We construct an infinite dimensional Lie rackoid Y which hosts an integration of the standard Courant algebroid. As a set, Y = C $\infty$ ([0, 1], T * M) for a compact manifold M. Desingularization of Lie groupoids and pseudodifferential operators on singular spaces

We introduce and study a "desingularization" of a Lie groupoid $G$ along an "$A(G)$-tame" submanifold $L$ of the space of units $M$. An $A(G)$-tame submanifold $L \subset M$ is one that has, by definition, a tubular neighborhood on which $A(G)$ becomes a thick pull-back Lie algebroid. The construction of the desingularization $[[G:L]]$ of $G$ along $L$ is based on a canonical fibered pull-back groupoid structure result for $G$ in a neighborhood of the tame $A(G)$-submanifold $L \subset M$. The Muhly-Renault-Williams theorem for Lie groupoids and its classical counterpart

A theorem of Muhly-Renault-Williams states that if two locally compact groupoids with Haar system are Morita equivalent, then their associated convolution C*-algebras are strongly Morita equivalent. We give a new proof of this theorem for Lie groupoids. Subsequently, we prove a counterpart of this theorem in Poisson geometry: If two Morita equivalent Lie groupoids are s-connected and s-simply connected, then their associated Poisson manifolds (viz. the dual bundles to their Lie algebroids) are Morita equivalent in the sense of P. Higher Lie algebra actions on Lie algebroids

We consider a simple instance of action up to homotopy. More precisely, we consider strict actions of DGLAs in degrees -1 and 0 on degree 1 NQ-manifolds. In a more conventional language this means: strict actions of Lie algebra crossed modules on Lie algebroids. When the action is strict, we show that it integrates to group actions in the categories of Lie algebroids and Lie groupoids (i.e. actions of LA-groups and 2-groups). We perform the integration in the framework of Mackenzie's doubles.

The van Est Map on Geometric Stacks

Geometry of orbit spaces of proper Lie groupoids

In this paper, we study geometric properties of quotient spaces of proper Lie groupoids. First, we construct a natural stratification on such spaces using an extension of the slice theorem for proper Lie groupoids of Weinstein and Zung. Next, we show the existence of an appropriate metric on the groupoid which gives the associated Lie algebroid the structure of a singular riemannian foliation. On local integration of Lie brackets

We give a direct, explicit and self-contained construction of a local Lie groupoid integrating a given Lie algebroid which only depends on the choice of a spray vector field lifting the underlying anchor map. This construction leads to a complete account of local Lie theory and, in particular, to a finite-dimensional proof of the fact that the category of germs of local Lie groupoids is equivalent to that of Lie algebroids.

Deformations of symplectic groupoids

We describe the deformation cohomology of a symplectic groupoid, and use it to study deformations via Moser path methods, proving a symplectic groupoid version of the Moser Theorem. Our construction uses the deformation cohomologies of Lie groupoids and of multiplicative forms, and we prove that in the symplectic case, deformation cohomology of both the underlying groupoid and of the symplectic groupoid have de Rham models in terms of differential forms. Multiplicative forms at the infinitesimal level

We describe arbitrary multiplicative differential forms on Lie groupoids infinitesimally, i.e., in terms of Lie algebroid data. This description is based on the study of linear differential forms on Lie algebroids and encompasses many known integration results related to Poisson geometry. We also revisit multiplicative multivector fields and their infinitesimal counterparts, drawing a parallel between the two theories.

On the Van Est homomorphism for Lie groupoids

The Van Est homomorphism for a Lie groupoid $G \rightrightarrows M$, as introduced by Weinstein-Xu, is a cochain map from the complex $C^\infty(BG)$ of groupoid cochains to the Chevalley-Eilenberg complex $C(A)$ of the Lie algebroid $A$ of $G$. On integrability of infinitesimal actions

We use foliations and connections on principal Lie groupoid bundles to prove various integrability results for Lie algebroids. In particular, we show, under quite general assumptions, that the semi-direct product associated to an infinitesimal action of one integrable Lie algebroid on another is integrable. This generalizes recent results of Dazord and Nistor.
