Suppose that T is a map of the Wiener space into itself, of the following type: T=I+u where u takes its values in the Cameron-Martin space H. Assume also that u is a finite sum of H-valued multiple Ito-Wiener integrals. In this work we prove that if T preserves the Wiener measure, then necessarily u is in the first Wiener chaos and the transformation corresponding to it is a rotation in the sense of [9]. Afterwards the ergodicity and mixing of such transformations, which are second quantizations of the unitary operators on the Cameron-Martin space, are characterized. Finally, the ergocity of the transformation dY_t=gamma(t)dW_t, 0 \le t \le 1 where W is n-dimensional Wiener and gamma is non random is characterized
In this paper we study ergodicity and mixing property of some measure preserving transformations on the Wiener space (W,H,μ) which are generated by some random unitary operators defined on the Cameron-Martin space H.
We study convergence to the invariant measure for a class of semilinear stochastic evolution equations driven by Lévy noise, including the case of cylindrical noise. For a certain class of equations we prove the exponential rate of convergence in the norm of total variation. Our general result is applied to a number of specific equations driven by cylindrical symmetric $α$-stable noise and/or cylindrical Wiener noise. We also consider the case of a "singular" Wiener process with unbounded covariance operator. In particular, in the equation with diagonal pure $α$-stable cylindrical noise introd…
We propose a possible way of attacking the question posed originally by Daniel Revuz and Marc Yor in their book published in 1991. They were asking whether the Lévy transformation of the Wiener--space is ergodic. Our main results are formulated in terms of a strongly stationary sequence of random variables obtained by evaluating the iterated paths at time one. Roughly speaking, this sequence has to approach zero "sufficiently fast". For example, one of our results states that if the expected hitting time of small neighbourhoods of the origin do not growth faster then the inverse of the size of…
In this paper, we investigate capacity preserving transformations and their ergodicity. We show that for any measurable transformation $θ$ there always exists a $θ$-invariant capacity. We investigate some limit properties under capacity spaces and then give the concept of ergodicity for a capacity preserving transformation. Based on this definition, we give several characterizations of ergodicity. In particular, we obtain a type of Birkhoff's ergodic theorem and prove that the ergodicity of $θ$ with respect to an upper probability is equivalent to the strong law of large numbers.

This paper contains two parts. In the first part, we study the ergodicity of periodic measures of random dynamical systems on a separable Banach space. We obtain that the periodic measure of the continuous time skew-product dynamical system generated by a random periodic path is ergodic if and only if the underlying noise metric dynamical system at discrete time of integral multiples of the period is ergodic. For the Markov random dynamical system case, we prove that the periodic measure of a Markov semigroup is PS-ergodic if and only if the trace of the random periodic path at integral multip…
The ergodic theorems of Hopf, Wiener and Birkhoff were extended to the context of Riesz spaces with a weak order unit and conditional expectation operator by Kuo, Labuschagne and Watson in [Ergodic Theory and the Strong Law of Large Numbers on Riesz Spaces. Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 325,(2007), 422-437.]. However, the precise concept of what constitutes ergodicity in Riesz spaces was not considered. In this short paper we fill in this omission and give some explanations of the choices made. In addition, we consider the interplay between mixing and ergodicity in the Rie…
This paper deals with the study of the Malliavin calculus of Euclidean motions on Wiener space, (i.e. transformations induced by general measure preserving transformations, called `rotations', and H-valued shifts) and the associated flows on abstract Wiener spaces
In this paper we study the Poisson process over a $σ$-finite measure-space equipped with a measure preserving transformation or a group of measure preserving transformations. For a measure-preserving transformation $T$ acting on a $σ$-finite measure-space $X$, the Poisson suspension of $T$ is the associated probability preserving transformation $T_*$ which acts on realization of the Poisson process over $X$. We prove ergodicity of the Poisson-product $T\times T_*$ under the assumption that $T$ is ergodic and conservative. We then show, assuming ergodicity of $T\times T_*$, that it is impossibl…
The paper considers (a) Representations of measure preserving transformations (``rotations'') on Wiener space, and (b) The stochastic calculus of variations induced by parameterized rotations $\{T_θw, 0 \le θ\le \eps\}$: ``Directional derivatives'' $(dF(T_θw)/d θ)_{θ=0}$, ``vector fields'' or ``tangent processes'' $(dT_θw /dθ)_{θ=0}$ and flows of rotations.
We develop a general framework for studying ergodicity of order-preserving Markov semigroups. We establish natural and in a certain sense optimal conditions for existence and uniqueness of the invariant measure and exponential convergence of transition probabilities of an order-preserving Markov process. As an application, we show exponential ergodicity and exponentially fast synchronization-by-noise of the stochastic reaction-diffusion equation in the hypoelliptic setting. This refines and complements corresponding results of Hairer, Mattingly (2011).
The domain of definition of the divergence operator δon an abstract Wiener space (W, H, μ) is extended to include W-valued and W\otimesW-valued "integrands". The main properties and characterizations of this extension are derived and it is shown that in some sense the added elements in δ's extended domain have divergence zero. These results are then applied to the analysis of quasiinvariant flows induced by W-valued vector fields and, among other results, it turns out that these divergence-free vector fields "are responsible" for generating measure preserving flows.
In the spirit of Björk-DiMasi-Kabanov-Runggaldier, we investigate term structure models driven by Wiener process and Poisson measures with forward curve dependent volatilities. This includes a full existence and uniqueness proof for the corresponding Heath--Jarrow--Morton type term structure equation. Furthermore, we characterize positivity preserving models by means of the characteristic coefficients, which was open for jump-diffusions. Additionally we treat existence, uniqueness and positivity of the Brody-Hughston equation of interest rate theory with jumps, an equation which we believe to …
In this paper, we study the ergodicity of invariant sublinear expectation of sublinear Markovian semigroup. For this, we first develop an ergodic theory of an expectation-preserving map on a sublinear expectation space. Ergodicity is defined as any invariant set either has $0$ capacity itself or its complement has $0$ capacity. We prove, under a general sublinear expectation space setting, the equivalent relation between ergodicity and the corresponding transformation operator having simple eigenvalue $1$, and also with Birkhoff type strong law of large numbers if the sublinear expectation is …
We link conditional weak mixing and ergodicity of the tensor product in Riesz spaces. In particular, we characterise conditional weak mixing of a conditional expectation preserving system by the ergodicity of its tensor product with itself or other ergodic systems. In order to achieve this we characterise the components of the weak order units in the tensor product of two Dedekind complete Riesz spaces with weak order units.
We prove that Poisson measures are invariant under (random) intensity preserving transformations whose finite difference gradient satisfies a cyclic vanishing condition. The proof relies on moment identities of independent interest for adapted and anticipating Poisson stochastic integrals, and is inspired by the method applied in [22] on the Wiener space, although the corresponding algebra is more complex than in the Wiener case. The examples of application include transformations conditioned by random sets such as the convex hull of a Poisson random measure.
In the first part of the note we analyze the long time behaviour of a two dimensional stochastic Navier--Stokes equations system on a torus with a degenerate, one dimensional noise. In particular, for some initial data and noises we identify the invariant probability measure for the system and give a sufficient condition under which it is unique and stochastically stable. In the second part of the note, we consider a simple example of a finite-dimensional system of stochastic differential equations driven by a one dimensional Wiener process with a drift, that displays some similarity with the …
In the present paper we study a stochastic evolution equation for shell (SABRA \& GOY) models with pure jump \levy noise $L=\sum_{k=1}^\infty l_k(t)e_k$ on a Hilbert space $\h$. Here $\{l_k, k\in \mathbb{N}\}$ is a family of independent and identically distributed (i.i.d.) real-valued pure jump \levy processes and $\{e_k, k\in \mathbb{N}\}$ is an orthonormal basis of $\h$. We mainly prove that the stochastic system has a unique invariant measure. For this aim we show that if the \levy measure of each component $l_k(t)$ of $L$ satisfies a certain order and a non-{degeneracy} condition and is ab…
We consider Volterra Gaussian processes on [0,T], where T>0 is a fixed time horizon. These are processes of type X_t=\int^t_0 z_X(t,s)dW_s, t\in[0,T], where z_X is a square-integrable kernel, and W is a standard Brownian motion. An example is fractional Brownian motion. By using classical techniques from operator theory, we derive measure-preserving transformations of X, and their inherently related bridges of X. As a closely connected result, we obtain a Fourier-Laguerre series expansion for the first Wiener chaos of a Gaussian martingale over [0,\infty).
We present a theory of hypoellipticity and unique ergodicity for semilinear parabolic stochastic PDEs with "polynomial" nonlinearities and additive noise, considered as abstract evolution equations in some Hilbert space. It is shown that if Hormander's bracket condition holds at every point of this Hilbert space, then a lower bound on the Malliavin covariance operator $M_t$ can be obtained. Informally, this bound can be read as "Fix any finite-dimensional projection $Π$ on a subspace of sufficiently regular functions. Then the eigenfunctions of $M_t$ with small eigenvalues have only a very sma…
Rational weak mixing is a measure theoretic version of Krickeberg's strong ratio mixing property for infinite measure preserving transformations. It requires "{\tt density}" ratio convergence for every pair of measurable sets in a dense hereditary ring. Rational weak mixing implies weak rational ergodicity and (spectral) weak mixing. It is enjoyed for example by Markov shifts with Orey's strong ratio limit property. The power, subsequence version of the property is generic.
Let T be a measurable transformation of a probability space $(E,\mathcal {E},π)$, preserving the measure π. Let X be a random variable with law π. Call K(\cdot, \cdot) a regular version of the conditional law of X given T(X). Fix $B\in \mathcal {E}$. We first prove that if B is reachable from π-almost every point for a Markov chain of kernel K, then the T-orbit of π-almost every point X visits B. We then apply this result to the Lévy transform, which transforms the Brownian motion W into the Brownian motion |W| - L, where L is the local time at 0 of W. This allows us to get a new proof of Malr…
We study a class of dynamical systems given by measure preserving actions of the group $Z^d$ or $R^d$ and generating a set of spectral measures with an extremal rate of the Fourier coefficient decay: $\Hatσ(n) = O(|n|^{-1/2+ε})$ for any $ε> 0$. Singular measures with this property are investigated in works due to Wiener and Wintner, Schaeffer, Salem, Ivashev-Musatov, Zygmund et al. Thus, the discovered effect provides a new construction of singular distributions of Schaeffer-Salem type on the torus $T^d$ and in the space $R^d$.
We will demonstrate that if M is an uncountable compact metric space, then there is an action of the Polish group of all continuous functions from M to U(1) on a separable probability algebra which preserves the measure and yet does not admit a point realization in the sense of Mackey. This is achieved by exhibiting a strong form of ergodicity of the Boolean action known as whirliness. This is in contrast with Mackey's point realization theorem, which asserts that any measure preserving Boolean action of a locally compact second countable group on a separable probability algebra can be realize…
