In earlier papers Saxena et al. (2002, 2003) derived the solutions of a number of fractional kinetic equations in terms of generalized Mittag-Leffler functions which extended the work of Haubold and Mathai (2000). The object of the present paper is to investigate the solution of a unified form of fractional kinetic equation in which the free term contains any integrable function f(t), which provides the unification and extension of the results given earlier recently by Saxena et al. (2002, 2003). The solution has been developed in terms of the Wright function in a closed form by the method of Laplace transform. Further we derive a closed-form solution of a fractional diffusion equation. The asymptotic expansion of the derived solution with respect to the space variable is also discussed. The results obtained are in a form suitable for numerical computation.
We consider general convolutional derivatives and related fractional statistical dynamics of continuous interacting particle systems. We apply the subordination principle to construct kinetic fractional statistical dynamics in the continuum in terms of solutions to Vlasov-type hierarchies. Conditions for the intermittency property of fractional kinetic dynamics are obtained.
We apply the subordination principle to construct kinetic fractional statistical dynamics in the continuum in terms of solutions to Vlasov-type hierarchies. As a by-product we obtain the evolution of the density of particles in the fractional kinetics in terms of a non-linear Vlasov-type kinetic equation. As an application we study the intermittency of the fractional mesoscopic dynamics.
The introduction of a fractional differential operator defined in terms of the Riemann-Liouville derivative makes it possible to generalize the kinetic equations used to model relaxation in dielectrics. In this context such fractional equations are called fractional kinetic relaxation equations and their solutions, called fractional kinetic relaxation functions, are given in terms of Mittag-Leffler functions. These fractional kinetic relaxation functions generalize the kinetic relaxation functions associated with the Debye, Cole-Cole, Cole-Davidson and Havriliak-Negami models, as the latter fu…
An Alternative Method for Solving a Certain Class of Fractional Kinetic Equations
Saxena and Kalla(2007)最近给出了一种求解Haubold and Mathai(2000)和Saxena et al.(2002,2004 a,2004 b)早期求解的分数阶动力学方程的替代方法。
We investigate the fractional diffusion approximation of a kinetic equation set in a bounded interval with diffusive reflection conditions at the boundary. In an appropriate singular limit corresponding to small Knudsen number and long time asymptotic, we show that the asymptotic density function is the {\it unique solution} of a fractional diffusion equation with Neumann boundary condition. This analysis completes a previous work by the same authors in which a limiting fractional diffusion equation was identified on the half-space, but the uniqueness of the solution (which is necessary to pro…
We investigate the fractional diffusion approximation of a kinetic equation in the upper-half plane with diffusive reflection conditions at the boundary. In an appropriate singular limit corresponding to small Knudsen number and long time asymptotic, we derive a fractional diffusion equation with a nonlocal Neumann boundary condition for the density of particles. Interestingly, this asymptotic equation is different from the one derived by L. Cesbron in [7] in the case of specular reflection conditions at the boundary and does not seem to have receive a lot of attention previously.
We develop the idea of non-Markovian CTRW (continuous time random walk) approximation to the evolution of interacting particle systems, which leads to a general class of fractional kinetic measure-valued evolutions with variable order. We prove the well-posedness of the resulting new equations and present a probabilistic formula for their solutions. Though our method are quite general, for simplicity we treat in detail only the fractional versions of the interacting diffusions. The paper can be considered as a development of the ideas from the works of Belavkin and Maslov devoted to Markovian …
Computable Solutions of Fractional Reaction-Diffusion Equations Associated with Generalized Riemann-Liouville Fractional Derivatives of Fractional Order
In this paper we study the effect of the subordination by a general random time-change to the solution of a model on spatial ecology in terms of its evolution density. In particular on traveling waves for a non-local spatial logistic equation. We study the Cesaro limit of the subordinated dynamics in a number of particular cases related to the considered fractional derivative making use of the Karamata-Tauberian theorem.
We consider the radiative transport equation in which the time derivative is replaced by the Caputo derivative. Such fractional-order derivatives are related to anomalous transport and anomalous diffusion. In this paper we describe how the time-fractional radiative transport equation is obtained from continuous-time random walk and see how the equation is related to the time-fractional diffusion equation in the asymptotic limit. Then we solve the equation with Legendre-polynomial expansion.
We consider the limit of a linear kinetic equation, with reflection-transmission-absorption at an interface, with a degenerate scattering kernel. The equation arise from a microscopic chain of oscillators in contact with a heat bath. In the absence of the interface, the solutions exhibit a superdiffusive behavior in the long time limit. With the interface, the long time limit is the unique solution of a version of the fractional in space heat equation, with reflection-transmission-absorption at the interface. The limit problem corresponds to a certain stable process that is either absorbed, re…
This paper studies the intermediate time behaviour of a small random perturbation of a periodic cellular flow. Our main result shows that on time scales shorter than the diffusive time scale, the limiting behaviour of trajectories that start close enough to cell boundaries is a fractional kinetic process: A Brownian motion time changed by the local time of an independent Brownian motion. Our proof uses the Freidlin-Wentzell framework, and the key step is to establish an analogous averaging principle on shorter time scales. As a consequence of our main theorem, we obtain a homogenization result…
In this paper, we propose the invariant subspace approach to find exact solutions of time-fractional partial differential equations (PDEs) with time delay. An algorithmic approach of finding invariant subspaces for the generalized non-linear time-fractional reaction-diffusion equations with time delay is presented. We show that the fractional reaction-diffusion equations with time delay admit several invariant subspaces which further yields several distinct analytical solutions. We also demonstrate how to derive exact solutions for time-fractional PDEs with multiple time delays. Finally, we ex…
